Psychic Spiral (of Death)

“I can help with that,” he said in a low voice. “I’m going to need the power boost, after all.”
He met my eyes and my stomach did that crazy seizing thing and my breath caught.
I licked my lips. “Carvi, I’m going to need my energy to find stuff in the astral plane. If anything, I should be getting some.”
“I can do that too,” he said.
Not letting my eyes go.
“I meant energy,” I said.
I tried to look away, to see whether AB and Quil had loaded on.
To see if there was somebody there to distract Carvi from me.
And I couldn’t yank my eyes away.
“I thought you said I was off limits,” I said.
“I did,” he said, “but that’s in the real world. We could always play in here. We’ve done that much before.”
I looked around now.
And my body stayed lying where it was.
The world moved slowly around us, Quil walking into view at snail speeds.
“Carvi,” I said, pushing up to standing in the astral plane, leaving my body lying behind me.
“Why, lea, you look afraid.”
He walked toward me, going through the coffee table in the middle of the circle of couches like it wasn’t there.
Which, it kinda wasn’t on this plane.
Of existence.
Obviously it existed on the airplane.
I gulped.
“Carvi, no,” I said, voice weak.
“You need to be able to break away when someone holds you in here,” he said, grabbing my arms, staring me down. “Break away from me, lea.”
“I don’t know how.”
My breath caught and I my heart rate picked up.
“Because you don’t want to,” he said, leaning in.
“Carvi.”
It came out as a gasp.
He pulled me in tight and kissed me.
It wasn’t hard, passionate, and all-consuming like he liked to do.
It was sweet and light, tender almost.
And made me melt into him.
I kissed him harder, wrapping my arms around his waist and pulling him into me.
He pulled back with a gasp.
“Lea.” He met my eyes. “I would. I would keep going. I would fuck you in here and we’d both enjoy it, and pretend it was less than on the physical plane, but you are so vulnerable right now, I can’t.”
“You really are a good guy, aren’t you?” I asked.
“I can fake it when I want to.”
He grinned and kissed me again, a bare brush of lips.
“You put your feelings on pause on Halloween,” he said, resting his forehead against mine just like Quil had done earlier and massaging my arms. “You put them aside and boxed them up to get the job done, and I am so proud of you, and you have kept them inside because of the assassin, and you learning your powers, which was good too. And now we have this. All of these things mean those feelings have to stay locked up, but, that comes with a price.”
I pulled back to look up at him.
“Right now,” he said, “you are wounded and ignoring it while we deal with greater issues, but it has left you so vulnerable, you don’t even know. When this is all over, when we’ve dealt with this, you’re going to have to face those issues, and it will be difficult. When that happens, I want you to be able to turn to me, to have me help you. You won’t if I take advantage of you in this state.”
I rubbed his arms and stood on tippy toe to peck him on the lips.
“You are a good guy,” I said as I fell back. “You may only be when you want to be, but when you want to be, you make a really good guy.”
He winked. “Don’t spread that around. I have a reputation to uphold.”
I grinned.
“You still need to learn how to break out when someone’s holding you,” he said, backing away. “This is merely the second layer, barely more than a vision. You should be able to pull out if you need to.”
“So how?” I asked.
“You take control. You did it when the tulpa attacked.”
“But that was under pressure. I didn’t think. I just went.”
“Exactly,” he said. “Don’t think. Just do. You know you can get out because you’ve done it before. So do it.”
I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath, and imagined breaking away.
I opened my eyes still standing in the middle of the plane, Quil moving slowly through the air like he was crawling.
“Carvi,” I said, tossing my hands up.
He glared at me and rushed me.
“Ah!” I screamed, throwing my hands up.
And opened my eyes in the real world on the couch.
“You suck,” I said to him, sitting up.
“What?” Quil asked.
“He’s trying to train me.”
“I am training you,” Carvi said. “You’re just being difficult. You need to learn how to control your powers, not just react. Reacting is a start, but it isn’t what will make you able to solve this, to deal with problems as they come. You being able to get in there on your own is a great start, but that’s all it is. There is so much more out there.”
“I know. I know,” I said, flapping a hand. “Can I take a nap now?”
He rolled his eyes. “If you can sleep, sure. You’ll probably need it.”
“I think we all will,” AB said, sitting on the couch across from me.
Carvi sat next to her and she stretched out, laying her head on his lap.
Something in me twinged and I squashed it.
But not before Carvi looked over at me with raised eyebrows.
I shrugged.
Quil sat down and I put my feet up on his lap, pushing the cushion under my head into place.
Quil took off my shoes without asking and rubbed my foot, making my eyelids flutter as he worked the heel and ran feather light finger tips over the arch.
I could be ticklish, but in the right circumstances, the tickling turned me on.
How much did I really need that nap?
If I could get blood from Quil, probably not a lot.
Quil grinned like he was reading my mind and Carvi chuckled.
“If I may,” Carvi said as the engines roared to life, making the plane vibrate and me blush as that increased the sensation. “You want to take the opportunity. It’s not a long flight, and after we hit the ground, you’re going to have too much work to do. And I know I could use a start to the evening.”
I glanced over at him. “We weren’t going to invite you!”
“But I’d enjoy it if you did.”
“But you just said…! Grrrrrr.” I lifted my hands, wringing an invisible neck. “You’re impossible.”
“Yes, I am,” he said, pursing his lips and arching his brow, playing up a proud look.
“You want it, lea,” he said in my head. “I think you’d view me trying anything as an abuse of trust. But not Quil. And you could use it. After what Karma dumped on you, you could.”
“I… would you join us if I asked?”
“Could AB come?”
“I was talkin’ hypothetical.” It took everything in me to keep my hands down and not talking with me. “If I said I wanted you and everything, would you?”
He stared at me. “With Quil there, yes, because I think you would see it as less of a breach of trust, like he’d be there to dilute it. I don’t know why you think that way, but you do.”
I licked my lips.
He followed suit.
“Quil won’t go for it,” Carvi said. “He wants nothing to do with me in that capacity. Even just me being there would bug him.” He shrugged. “Him knowing I’m listening though? Knowing I can hear as he takes you? He likes that. He likes me knowing you are his, and I only get you if he consents.”
I blushed, looking down. “That’s not technically true. I mean, I would want him to be okay with it, but right now, the only thing holding us back is you.”
“I know, but Quil would still have to be okay with it for you to want to do anything with me. Otherwise you’d be cheating. And we both know you don’t do that.”
He winked at me.
“Stop that,” Quil said.
“What?” Carvi asked, blinking oh so innocently.
“Whatever you’re talking about,” Quil said. “You already said she was off limits.”
“We weren’t talking about her fucking me, Aquila,” Carvi said. “We were talking about her taking you into the little back room and having her way with you while she has time.”
Quil looked at me and I blushed.
“I thought you needed a nap?” Quil asked, voice low and husky.
“Maybe not,” I said. “I could get a nice little boost another way. And we probably won’t have any time for the rest of the weekend. If you’re interested.”
“You will need your strength to trace the trail once you’re in there,” Quil said, pushing my feet off his lap.
He stood and held a hand out to me. “M’lady?”
“You might want to sit until we take off,” AB said, looking pretty pink herself.
The plane coasted down the runway, picking up speed and I nodded. “It’s probably going to get going up soon and you probably… well, you might be able to stay standing since vampire, but still.”
Quil sat down with a dramatic sigh and took my foot again, running fingers up and down it and staring into my eyes.
“Ummm.” I squeaked as he did it again and everything in me seized.
“Shit, never mind,” Carvi said, “can you fuck out here? I want to watch this.”
“No,” Quil said, not taking his eyes off mine.
“You know I could just hop in while you’re doing him and play with you in the astral plane,” Carvi said mentally. “I’d enjoy that. And I know you would.”
“I thought I was off limits,” I thought back.
“I’m a good guy when I want to be. I’m not a saint,” he said. “And I want to join in. And we both know you want me to, too.”
“Yes, yes, I do. I want you both and I think seeing you together, even not touching each other, would be hot.”
“But?”
“But you said I’m off limits, and now you’re trying to take that back. It’s… making it kinda hard to trust you again.”
“That’s what I was afraid of. Even if you start it, you pull back and say I can’t be trusted if I reciprocate.”
“This was just a test!”
“No, not just. I really want to fuck you. An orgy here would be awesome, but I was offering only to jump in on the astral plane after you were asking, and you took it badly.”
I rolled my eyes and closed them as the plane’s engines roared louder and we took off.
The little plane climbed quickly and I enjoyed Quil rubbing my feet, getting me going, getting me wet, while we waited for us to level out.
When the captain said we’d reached cruising altitude, I opened my eyes and swung my legs off Quil’s lap.
He got up and followed me into the back room with the little bed, for Carvi when he was taking really long trips.
Or when he wanted to spice things up by having sex at thirty thousand feet.
Quil shut the door behind us and grabbed me.
I didn’t even have time to gasp before he was kissing me hard, pulling me into him like he was trying to get inside me through our clothes.
I kissed him back, grabbing his shoulders and jumping up, wrapping my legs around his waist as we kissed, all tongues and sucking.
Instead of taking me to the bed, Quil pinned me against the wall, reaching between us as he held me up with one arm.
I heard him unzip as we kept kissing and I grabbed the bar over the door, barely wondering why it was there.
Probably for this exact reason.
I held on tight with both hands as Quil broke our kiss and pulled back to look me in the eyes as he drew my panties to the side.
He nudged against my opening.
“I’m not sure I can have sex in this position,” I gasped as he moved his hips, sliding against my wetness, but not getting in.
“Let’s find out,” he said, voice low and rich. “Grab the bar with both hands; keep yourself up.”
Lust rolled through me, making small noises escape.
I grabbed the bar and locked my legs around his waist as he let me go and used one hand to keep my panties to the side as he guided himself to my opening with the other and pushed in.
He barely got in before he caught against something.
Quil met my eyes.
And shoved in past the bump.
I gasped, head tossing back as he started to move.
“See,” he whispered, “just have to get past the opening. You’re small, but that just makes it better when I do this.”
He grabbed my butt with both hands and I held onto the bar tighter as he pulled back a little further.
And shoved in again, making me cry out.
He held me tight, pounding into me.
“Oh god,” I gasped, the pressure building.
This angle made him press up into my sensitive nub.
And all I wanted to do was use a hand to press down on my clit.
I was so close to coming.
“No,” Quil said. “Keep your hands there, hold yourself up.”
I must’ve looked like I was about to let go.
He moved faster and I tightened, squeezing him, willing myself that last little bit I needed to get there.
“Can I join?” Carvi whispered through my head as I closed my eyes, turning my head up and holding my breath.
I was so close.
“Lea,” Carvi said, “let me in. Have me in the astral plane as you have him here.”
“He’s the one doing the taking,” I thought back, small noises escaping me.
“So would I,” he said. “I like that you like thinking of it that way too. The man taking you.”
“I like to be dominated, Carvi, you know that.”
“That’s a yes, lea.”
I opened my eyes, still looking down at Quil, but Carvi was there too.
“Carvi,” I said in the astral plane.
He smiled and walked around me.
I could still feel Quil inside me, the movements slow, almost more powerful, but Carvi was here too.
Carvi grabbed my hair, yanking my head to the side so hard I cried out.
He chuckled. “Yes, scream for me, lea. Scream for us. I’m going to play with you in here, and when you are right on the edge of coming, I’m going to kick you out, so you’re back in the real world. Your mind will feel like it was about to come, but you’ll be back where you were, just short of it, in the real world. I will pull you back and forth, in and out of here, until you can’t take it. Until you beg for me to let you finish.”
“Please,” I whimpered. “Carvi, I can go more than once. You know that.”
“Pleases already,” he said. “Lea, I thought you’d be more of a challenge.”
“Me too, but I want you.”
He pulled my hair harder and I gasped as he grabbed my thigh.
I could still feel Quil, his motion, but I could feel Carvi in here.
Carvi shoved me to my knees and I was suddenly on the carpet.
But still on Quil, my arms shaking as they held me up.
“My brain can’t make sense of this,” I said.
“It doesn’t have to,” Carvi said. “Stop thinking, just feel it.”
He grabbed my hips and pulled me back, shoving into me from behind.
I squeaked, hands grabbing onto the bar harder.
He was too big for doggie style in the real world. He’d hurt me if he wasn’t careful. But here? In here, it just made it better.
Carvi held my hips tight and thumped into me, moving fast and hard, building on the pressure as Quil worked in the real world, the motions slower in here.
I moaned and licked my lips
and couldn’t tell if it was in the astral plane or real world.
Carvi grabbed my thigh and forced my head down, changing the angle and making me cry out as I clenched around him.
I fell back into my real body, eyes opening and head snapping up with the sudden lack of pressure.
And everything in me ached to go as I was right there!
“Quil!” I gasped, half panicked.
He moaned in response, grinning as he moved faster.
I let go of the bar and he grunted, eyes flying wide as he caught me and stumbled back.
I slid off as his knees hit the bed and he sat down.
“Sorry,” I gasped, arms shaking like they were about to fall off. “Couldn’t hold it, and-”
He kissed me, opening his mouth and sucking hard.
Blood flushed through my groin and I gasped as he sucked on my tongue.
God, I loved it when he did that.
He rolled us over and grabbed my panties, yanking them off with an almost violent motion before he was back on me.
Quil lifted my leg and slid in, putting my leg on his shoulder as he drove into me.
I put my hand on my clit to help and he grabbed it, pinning it by my head.
He grabbed the other and pinned it down.
“Quil!” I protested.
“No,” he said. “I’ll bring you.”
He pounded into me and I closed my eyes.
And opened them in the astral plane.
Carvi wasn’t kidding.
He had me in the same position and thumped into me.
“Carvi,” I gasped.
I couldn’t take this.
I put my hand on my clit in here. I was so close.
Carvi took my hand and planted it on the ground, riding into me faster.
“It’s like you two want to torture me,” I gasped.
Carvi chuckled and slid his hand off mine.
I opened my eyes in the real world and bent up, forcing pressure down.
Feeling it build.
I was right there!
Quil grabbed my hands and shifted his weight, pushing me down, making the angle deeper.
I growled and pushed up against him, rubbing myself against him, moving with him harder.
He moaned as I bunched up, straining against his grip, and squeezed.
My head tossed back as the orgasm caught me and I held onto it, squeezing Quil hard as I moaned out my pleasure.
He lost rhythm and went harder as I relaxed and he screamed, grabbing onto the post of the bed with one hand and gripping so hard I was afraid he’d break it as he emptied himself into me.
