“It’s between me and my daughter, Elias,” he says, the words clipped but congenial.

  Mia is Lucky’s daughter?!

“Seeing as how you’ve decided to have this disagreement in my bar, now it concerns me,” I tell him. “And I don’t like it when men talk to women that way, Lucky.”

I’m forcing myself to sound calm, but it’s taking all my effort. I want to grab him by the throat and shove him against the wall for the way he just treated her, but he’s got about fifty MC members for backup and all I’ve got is Jax, so I don’t do anything.

Jax is good in a fight, but nobody’s that good.

  Lucky snorts.

“She’s my daughter, I can speak to her how I like,” he says, then stands on his tiptoes to shout over my shoulder. “And I can tell her that she ought to behave herself and know the rules!”

I hold up one hand, trying to calm Lucky down even as my heart is beating wildly, almost out of my chest.

“Fuck this,” Mia mutters behind me, and before I can do anything she’s already leaving. The leather-clad men part like the Red Sea for her as she strides to the door, all of them looking her over like she’s some sort of particularly interesting pet dog.

“That’s more like it,” Lucky says, but I barely hear him because I’m already going after Mia. The front door slams in my face as she goes through it, but I’m right on her heels, pushing it open, the cool night air hitting me in the face.

“Wait!” I shout, not caring who hears me, even though there’s no one else out here in the gravel parking lot.

Mia doesn’t stop, just keeps making a beeline for one of the few cars in the lot, an old Ford sedan surrounded by huge, shiny motorcycles.

I race to her car, getting there right as she does.

  “Mia,” I say.

  Finally, she turns.

“Elias,” she says, softly, her voice just a little uncertain.

I have no idea what to say next that won’t make me sound like a lovesick idiot, so I don’t even try.

  “I called you,” I say.

  “I know,” she answers simply.

Then she pushes both her hands through her hair and sighs.

“I know,” she says again, her voice softer. “I’m sorry.”

I step forward, unable to help myself. Her pull is magnetic, and she looks up at me with big eyes, just barely glimmering with tears.

“Mia,” I whisper, and put my fingers under her chin. “Don’t be.”

“It’s my dad,” she says, her voice dropping to a whisper. “He won’t let me see anyone. I wanted to call you back, I swear I did, I just…”

She trails off, her face tilting up. Even in the ugly light of the neon BLACK FOREST ROAD HOUSE sign, she’s ethereally beautiful, like some sort of angel sent to this dark place.

  I lean toward her, mesmerized.

“We shouldn’t,” she whispers, her eyes on my lips.

“Then tell me to stop,” I whisper, my lips almost to hers. “Tell me now, Mia.”

I pause, waiting for her, my heart in my throat. If she doesn’t want me, I swear I’ll leave right now and never bother her again. But I don’t think that’s what’s happening.

“Kiss me,” she whispers, her voice so quiet I can barely hear it.

  I do.

Her lips are warm and pillowy, perfectly soft. She’s pliable underneath me, and all the longing and frustration of the past week bubbles up inside me. I kiss her hard, deeply, her mouth opening under mine, her arms sliding over my shoulders and around my waist. I’ve got my hand on the small of her back, my tongue already swiping at her lips and darting into her mouth.

Mia takes a step backward and then she’s up against her car, our hips together. I’m hard as a rock and I know she can feel it, but instead of shying away she bites my lip and groans softly into my mouth.

  Jesus. Christ.

I press her even harder against the side of her car and she grabs onto my shoulders, hoisting herself until her legs are wrapped around my hips, and I bury my face in her neck, smelling her hair, feeling her soft skin under my lips.

It’s everything I’ve dreamed of for the past week. I think it might be everything I’ve dreamed of for years before that, I just didn’t know it yet. I grab her hips hard, my fingers sinking into her denim-clad flesh, grinding my stiff cock against her as she gasps with pleasure.

God, I want to tear her clothes off and take her right here, against this car. I want to lay her on the hood and lick her until she comes, over and over again. I want to hear her scream and moan my name until she can’t anymore.

Mia’s hands move down my body until she’s got her palm on my cock, nestled between us, and I growl into her neck, pushing against her.

  “Elias,” she half-whispers, half moans.

“Say the word and I’ll take you anywhere,” I rasp into her ear. I’ve completely forgotten about Jax at the bar, about the Road House, about anything but Mia. “Just say—”

The door to the Road House slams shut, and Mia gasps. She shoves me off of her and I comply, letting her go as she frantically looks over her shoulder, straightening her clothes, her eyes wild.

It’s not her father, but it’s one of his next in command — I think his name is Axel — and he scans the parking lot slowly as he lights a cigarette, then takes a long drag.

“I have to go,” Mia says in a low voice. “He can’t catch me out here with you—”

I put one hand on her waist where Axel can’t see it.

“Don’t,” I say, my heart flipping in my chest. “Mia, they can’t treat you like this, let me take care of it for you—”

She laughs. Laughs, and even though she’s laughing at me I like the way her eyes crinkle at the corners.

“Take care of what, Elias?” she asks lightly. “I’ve got it under control. There’s nothing to take care of besides the squirrel that’s trapped in the garage right now, and I guess he’s got to wait until my dad gets home with the key.”

“This,” I say, gripping her harder, even as Axel spies us. “I won’t let them treat you like this, Mia, it’s fucking—”

“It’s fine, Elias,” she says, cutting me off as she pulls out her keys and unlocks the door. “I’ve got it under control.”

I don’t like that. I don’t like it one bit, the thought of her going back to a house with a father who seems to hold her in lower esteem than the dirt he walks on, but Mia’s an adult woman. I can’t exactly kidnap her to prove a point about how she should be treated.

“Tell me I’ll see you again,” I say.

She glances over at Axel, who’s taken a keen interest in us, watching our interaction like a hawk.

“You’ll see me again,” she says softly. “I promise to start answering my phone.”

Then she gets in the car, starts it up, and drives out of the road house’s parking lot. I give Axel a good, hard glare, then head back in through the back door.

  Chapter Seven

  Mia

“Where are you taking me now?” I ask, trailing behind Elias, my hand in his.

“You’ll see,” he responds, a smile in his voice.

“You can’t just kidnap girls and take them into the forest,” I say as pine needles crackle under my feet. “That’s illegal, you know.”

“Don’t worry, I think you’re going to like this,” he teases.

I keep walking slowly behind him, one foot in front of the other. Even though I trust him completely to lead me wherever we’re going, it’s still hard to walk when you’re blindfolded.

  “How much further?” I ask.

  “Almost there.”

It’s been two weeks since we ran into each other at the road house, and I think it’s been the best two weeks of my life. Even though we’re in constant danger of my father finding us out, I’ve seen Elias almost every day, and talked to him almost every night. At the very least, we’ve texted.

It’s gotten… a little naughty, once or twice. Let’s just say th
at my dad would either pitch a fit and send me to a convent or kick me out of the house if he found out what we’d been texting.

The first day after I saw him again, Elias showed up at my college with flowers for me. The next day he showed up again, this time with a mug of hot chocolate, and then we went to my favorite study nook in the library, where I wrote a paper and he read The Grapes of Wrath for three hours.

When I finished the paper, we made out in the stacks. We might have nearly gotten caught by one of the school’s librarians, and I might be lucky that my library privileges weren’t revoked.

Honestly, though, I don’t care. Elias makes me tingle from the top of my head down to my toes, and worse, he’s been a complete gentleman.

Well, almost. Complete gentlemen probably don’t finger you in an empty classroom until you come twice or whisper in your ear during dinner that they want to eat your pussy for dessert, but I’m not exactly complaining.

And it’s been getting worse. I can barely see him without wanting to jump his bones, so after I sneaked out of my dad’s house tonight and saw Elias there, leaning against his car, waiting for me, I almost told him to take me right then and there.

Of course he didn’t. Of course he took me to a late-night dinner first at some tiny Italian place with amazing carbonara and we had a fantastic time.

But then, instead of either taking me home or just taking me, he put a blindfold on me and drove me somewhere in the national forest. Then we walked for a couple of minutes, and now here I am, wondering what on earth is going on.

“All right,” Elias finally says, bringing me to a stop. He moves behind me, and his warm, thick arms encircle my body.

I tingle. It’s just what happens when he touches me.

“Ta-da!” he says, hamming it up as he pulls the blindfold from my eyes.

I blink. In front of me there’s a tent, big and round and made of white canvas, glowing from the inside. The canvas is parted in one spot, the fabric held to the side like curtains, revealing a wooden floor inside the tent and a low bed, piled high with pillows and a fluffy comforter.

My whole body heats up instantly, just imagining the things we could do on this bed. That’s why I’m here, right?

Honestly, taking me to a beautiful bed in the middle of the woods with innocent intentions would be pure cruelty at this point.

  “A tent?” I ask, teasing.

He squeezes me harder from behind, lowering his face to my neck.

“Technically, it’s a yurt,” he says, his voice vibrating through me. “More importantly, there’s zero chance that some member of the Diablos is going to accidentally stumble across us here, unless they’re really into night hiking.”

He pushes his fingers through my hair, pulling it to one side, his mouth against my ear. Shivers run down my spine, and I lean back into his thick, strong body.

I want Elias now. I don’t even want to wait to get into the tent, I just want him right here, right now, on this forest floor.

  “It’s beautiful,” I murmur.

“A beautiful yurt for a beautiful girl,” he says, and I laugh. He nips at my neck in mock anger, and I stop laughing and gasp.

“That’s what I thought,” he says, and then scoops me up in his arms. I wrap mine around his neck and he carries me over the mock-threshold. Inside the tent — sorry, the yurt — the floor is nearly covered in candles, leaving only a path to the bed from the door. Elias quickly pulls the tent closed behind us.

Then he kisses me deeply, drawing my body close to his. I curl into him, practically alight from my head to my toes, my fingers drawn through his hair. When he parts, I’m panting for breath, and he closes the distance to the bed and puts me down.

Instantly, he covers my body with his, and I flash back to the night of Ruby’s wedding: my skirt around my waist, his thick need pressing against me. Only this time I’m perfectly sober, and there’s no way I’m letting him out of this tent.

“You’re so beautiful,” he murmurs in my ear as I wrap my legs around him like I can draw him into me. “Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?”

I kiss him as an answer, slowly swiping my tongue along his lower lip. He opens his mouth instantly and presses me back, into the mattress, claiming me as his.

Our bodies move together, his rock-hard against mine. I unbutton his shirt frantically, pushing it off over his thick muscles.

“Oh!” I yelp as he tosses it away, over his shoulder, to land on the candles.

Elias just chuckles, pushing my shirt up over my ribcage as I push myself up on one elbow, visions of forest fires dancing through my head.

“Battery-powered,” he says, whipping it off and tossing it to follow his shirt. “I’m not about to burn down our love nest and half the forest while we’re in here.”

I relax instantly and Elias pushes me back to the bed, his lips already running a trail down my neck and over my collarbone. With one hand he slowly pulls down my bra strap, and as his lips keep moving down, shivers break out all over my body, my breath catching in my throat.

Then he pulls my bra down and his lips close over my nipple, his tongue flicking delicately across the engorged pink bud. I moan, arching my back, and he scrapes his teeth gently over the surface. His other hand pinches my other nipple, and I gasp again, my legs still wrapped around him.

He doesn’t stop there, trailing kisses down my ribcage, over my belly button. I hold my breath as he unhooks the button on my jeans, sliding the zipper down so slowly it feels like it might take forever, his mouth is on my hip. He takes my jeans the rest of the way off and then he’s kneeling between my legs, looking down at my naked body.

I hook one leg over his shoulder, just drinking in the vision of him like this. Any shyness that I might have had has completely evaporated here, between the candles and the incandescent tent deep in the forest.

“Ready for dessert?” he says, his voice bottoming out as he grins slyly. He doesn’t wait for an answer, just kisses the inside of my knee as he slides his other hand up my thigh, his fingers skimming along the soft, sensitive skin there.

I just nod mutely, because I can’t rely on my brain to form a sentence right now. I can barely rely on my lungs to keep breathing, because I’m pretty sure that all the blood in my body has pooled in my core, and I’m running hot with anticipation.

But Elias goes slowly. He takes his time even though I feel like I’m jumping out of my skin. He sucks and bites me, moving inch by inch, teasing me until I feel like I’m going out of my mind. His other hand is sneaking up my other leg, until finally, his mouth almost at my center, his fingers skim lightly across my soaking wet lips, sending a delicious sizzle through my whole body.

I exhale in a rush as he finally licks me slowly, his tongue tracing the edges of my lips, moving all the way up to the peak of my clit. I didn’t even realize I was holding my breath, and now it comes in gulps and gasps as he begins to move his tongue around me, faster with every stroke.

I clench my fists around the comforter on the bed, turning my head to one side as I try not to shout out loud as his tongue circles my clit with a slow, leisurely pace, alternating lapping at me then simply teasing me, driving me nearly out of my mind.

He does it again and again, each time bringing me closer to the edge than I was before, flicking his tongue dexterously back and forth and then, just as I’m ready to fall over the edge, slipping away to lavish attention on my entrance, teasing his tongue just barely between my lips.

Before long I’m gasping and moaning, my chest heaving as I pant for breath. I’ve got one fist in my mouth, trying to keep myself from making too much noise, when suddenly I feel his fingers on me again, brushing up against my entrance as he licks slowly and surely at my clit. He slides them inside me, and my breath leaves in a hard whoosh at the slight twinge.

Then he crooks them against my sensitive front wall just as he licks me, harder and harder, and suddenly I’m spiraling out of control. My back arches and my hips r
oll, but Elias just holds me closer, tongue and fingers working in perfect, dizzying rhythm.

“Elias,” I gasp into the comforter, the only word I can think of.

He licks me faster, harder, driving me closer and closer. I do the only thing I can, and let go.

I fall hard and fast, shouting into the blanket I’m holding to my mouth with my fist, the waves breaking over me again and again as Elias keeps on licking me, his fingers stroking my wall again and again, wringing every last drop of pleasure from my body. In another moment I’m shaking and shuddering, my body completely out of my control as I arch my back, roll my hips, try to give him as much of myself as I possibly can.

Finally, he stops. He pulls his fingers out of me and I give one last shudder, suddenly feeling oddly empty as he kisses my hip, my lower belly. I pull him up toward me, still dizzy and gasping for air, and he claims my mouth again.

Once more I wrap my legs around his hip, feeling even needier this time, an empty ache inside me. I need him, and I need him now. Just the feeling of his hard length pressed against me, through his jeans, isn’t enough.

I reach down, yank on his pants. I’ve never undone someone else’s pants before, and I struggle for a moment, until his mouth leaves mine with a chuckle. Elias stands from the bed, pulling his pants and boxers off in one motion.

I gasp. I freeze. I stare, suddenly more nervous than I was a moment ago because that thing is no joke. Not that I’m well versed in penises — okay, I’ve never seen one in the wild like this before — but I’m fairly certain that Elias’s is considered very large.

I mean, there’s no way they can all be this size. Right?

Slowly, Elias shifts his weight onto one hip, and he takes his monster cock in his hand, raising his eyebrows as he strokes himself slowly.

I’m mesmerized. I can’t stop staring, not that either of us want me to.

“You like it?” he asks, his voice a low, gravelly growl.

I swallow hard, my heart pounding, my mouth dry.

  “Yes,” I whisper.

He strokes it once more, from the glistening tip down to the very bottom, my eyes tracking every millimeter of the movement.
