“For you, any fucking time. No one else will ever hear me again except you, baby,” he agreed.
“God, I love you so much Derrick,” I said.
“And I love the fuck out of you, baby,” he replied.
“Okay. That was awesome. Now it’s time for the first dance, guys. Get up here and dance so we can party,” Macca said.
Laughing, Derrick and I made our way to the dance floor.
“Okay, I have one more thing to say,” Derrick said.
He walked up to the stage where the microphone was and turned to us, clearing his throat as he took the microphone.
“I have a confession to make. We were gonna have a different song for our first dance, but I changed it and asked some very special people to sing it for us. They have been practising for months, and I think they sound awesome. I was told this is a special song for Monique. Her mum always said if we ever found each other again, this would be our song. So, Madilyn, Conner, and, Jackson, come on up here and sing this for us please.”
“Oh, my God,” I cried out, knowing exactly what they were going to sing. I started crying again.
Derrick jumped off the stage and came over to me. Taking me in his arms, he wiped my tears as he whispered in my ear, “No tears today, baby. This is a happy day.” “Happy tears,” I replied.
We watched as Madilyn, Connor, and Jackson walked up the steps to the stage. When the music began, Derrick started moving me around the dance floor.
Madilyn started singing ‘At The Beginning’ by Richard Marx and Donna Lewis, a song about strangers starting a journey and going through things they would never have dreamed of before finding each other and beginning a life together.
Then Jackson and Connor took over and sang their part before the three of them sang together.
Derrick waltzed and spun me to all the right parts of the song. By the end of the song, he had me bent over his knee, and he leaned down, kissing me. When he pulled me upright, he hugged me.
“You’ve been holding out on me. Who taught you to dance?” I asked.
“Dave taught me this one, and it’s the only one I know, so don’t get your hopes up, baby. I’m not that fucking coordinated,” he answered.
“I never would, honey,” I said.
We danced with everyone else for a while before cutting the cake. Then we danced again until it was finally time to say goodnight to everyone. Making our rounds, we thanked everyone for coming, then Derrick picked me up bridal-style and carried me up to our room where he slowly removed my dress and made sweet slow love to me for hours as husband and wife.
Eight Months Later…
It had been an absolute bliss since the wedding—that was for sure.
After the wedding, we went to Hamilton Island just off the coast of Queensland for our honeymoon. It was beautiful there, just sand and surf. We didn’t see much it, though, since we were in the room most of the time. We went on a couple of cruises for dinner and shit like that but not much else. We just hung out and enjoyed ourselves for a week with no interruptions. Just the two of us, and we loved it.
Monique was due in two weeks but we were told it could be any day from now onwards. She had been ordered to have bed rest until she delivered because her blood pressure was high, and they were worried about it. I tried to cheer her up, but she was miserable. Don’t get me wrong, Monique said she loved being pregnant, but it was the not being able to move like she wanted to that she hated.
She always wanted to go, go, go.
I threatened I would tie her to the fucking bed—no, literally, and
I would do it, too. The doctors told her if she didn’t settle down, they would admit her to the hospital until the baby was born.
Yes, you heard that right—one baby. Thank fucking Christ. I mean, I could handle multiples, but I just wanted to concentrate on one, which was what we were having.
We had no idea what we were having, though. Every time we tried to find out at the ultrasounds, the little shit kept its legs closed. Oh, well, I was happy as fuck with either as long as Monique and the baby came out of it healthy.
“Derrick,” I heard, yelled.
“Coming, baby.” I ran into the room, and Monique was standing next to the bed, panting.
“It’s time. My water just broke,” she said between pants.
“All right, baby. Come on. It’s hot as fuck out there, so let’s get you changed into a dress, and then we’ll get you to the hospital,” I said.
As I helped her change into a dress, she grabbed her stomach and winced. She must have been having a contraction, so I timed it on my watch so when the next one came, we could tell how far apart they were.
I rang the hospital and notified them we were on our way, and then as we made our way downstairs, I grabbed her hospital bag in one hand, which was by the bedroom door, and held her around the waist with my other arm. After getting her in the car, we made our way to the hospital.
When we got there, we headed straight to the maternity ward. We were put in a room to wait while Monique was monitored, and I sent a mass text to everyone that it was time.
They checked her and said it looked like it was going to be hours before we got to meet our baby. So we sat and waited.
It had only been an hour since we had arrived, and the contractions were coming closer and stronger now. Monique was saying she wanted to push, but that shouldn’t have been happening, so I rushed out and told them. They came in to check Monique’s progress and said to us that yep, she was crowning—whatever the fuck that was. Apparently, she was delivering.
Holy shit, I’m gonna meet my baby very soon.
Half an hour later, we welcomed a little girl that we named Angeline Eden Mary Adams. She had my blond hair and bright green eyes, but she had Monique’s face and looked like she had inherited the curls. She was eight pounds on the dot and twenty-one-point-two inches long, which, apparently, was above average in weight and height. It looked like she was going to be tall like the boys and me.
A couple of hours later, we were transferred to a room, and everyone walked in.
I was holding Angeline and motioned the kids over and whispered, “I would like to introduce you to your baby sister. This is Angeline. Angeline, meet your sister and brothers, Madilyn, Connor, and Jackson.”
They smiled a huge smile and kissed her forehead. They gave me a one-sided hug and then Monique a hug. Monique and I looked at each other and nodded.
I looked around the room at my family.
Hulk was behind Claire with his arms over her shoulders, running his hands down to her very pregnant belly, and she was leaning back to him. The poor thing looked ready to pop any day now.
Dozer and Trigger had Savannah between them. Trigger had his arm around her waist while Dozer had his around her shoulder.
Blade, Bluey, and Macca were standing off to the side with smiles on their faces.
Mike had his arm around Dave, and both were smiling while Knife had Hannah in his arms, both with smiles on their faces, as well.
“Everyone, Monique and I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family. This is Angeline Eden Mary Adams.
Angeline, this is your family, your uncles and aunts,” I said.
“Thank you, everyone, for making our lives that much more special. We couldn’t have done it without you all,” Monique said, looking at all of our family.

“As soon as I saw you, it was like a light shining down from the heavens. As I got to know you, I realized that light went soul deep, and I fell for you so hard.”
Hulk
After an accident and my girlfriend leaving, I didn’t think I’d find anyone to share my life with. Sure, I had my brother and the club, and I never thought I wanted anything more. That was until Claire walked into my life. She had a harrowing story behind her, and it forced my protect
ive instincts forward, and they raged at full force. I simply had to get past the walls she’d built so tightly around her.
Claire
Some say amnesia is a new start, which is true. But what happens when you wake up one day and everything’s a blank. Let me tell you, it’s not fun but more like downright scary.
That was my life now. Sure, I’d made a family and new memories with Monique and the triplets, but when Monique reunited with Derrick, he came with a whole new family. Hulk was the Sergeant at Arms for the club and the man who would steal my heart. Unbeknownst to me, the man who had hurt me previously was closing in, and he wanted to finish what he’d started.
Will Hulk be able to save Claire from a madman, or will he be too late to have his angel with him forever?
