“Oh my God,” she whispered. Her cup fell to the floor, forgotten, and splashed steaming hot coffee across the carpet.
Chloe didn't even notice, her eyes laser focused on Ethan's chest. A chest that moved, ever so slightly, with every inhale and exhale. She choked on a gasp and pressed a hand to the glass, tears blurring her vision for a moment before the window cleared and the front yard, lit by early morning sunshine appeared before her.
It couldn't be. Could it?
But in that moment, she knew it was true. Finally understood what her visions had been trying to tell her for weeks.
“He's alive,” she choked out on a sob. “Ethan's alive!”
