Destiny for Three

Trey rolled his eyes. “I feel a bit foolish, Elise.” His shirt dropped to the floor, revealing his lean torso, which drew a hum of approval from Elise.

“Why? You have a great body and I love looking at you.” Her pussy clenched as her words made his mouth tilt into a sexy grin. “Do the pants now, babe. I want to see that fine ass of yours.” Trey actually blushed at her words and she giggled as he turned his back, gave her a sultry look over his shoulder and started undoing the buttons on his pants. “Mm, yeah, that’s it. Tease me.”

Rad caught her eye as he was hopping on one leg, pants still on, pulling at his boot. It came loose suddenly, flew out of his hand, and hit the far wall, sending a framed picture crashing to the floor. He ducked, grinning sheepishly, a lock of his hair falling over his forehead. “Shit. Sorry.”

Elise winced at the noise then laughed. He looked so damn cute, she wanted to leap from the bed and kiss that boyish grin, that darling dimple. “Not very graceful, Rad, but I’ll give you points for effort, and because you’re so adorable.” She saw Trey had opened his pants and was now inching them and his underwear down over his behind, uncovering the tops of his buttocks.

“Oo, Trey,” Elise purred. “Yes, more.”

Smiling at her over his shoulder, he let a bit more skin peek out then nudged the clothing back up, covering it again. “Say please, sweetheart.”

Elise felt a little shiver rush through her limbs. “Trey Kingston, you are a tease, you bad boy. Please, baby. Show me those tight buns.”

He shimmied them down slowly over his hips, pushed his pants down his legs and peeled them off, then straightened and flexed his muscular buttocks. He flashed a rakish grin that made her pussy start to weep. “Like that, darlin’?”

“Mmm, yummy.” Seeing Trey drop his “Mr. Serious” manner and let out his inner playboy just for her was such an incredible turn on. When he turned toward her, his hand idly cradling his erection, Elise moaned softly and slipped a hand under her nightgown to touch the part of her that was pulsing sharply. “Oh, Trey, you’re so hard and ready. Are you sure we can’t… just a little?”

“Elise, behave.” Trey’s tone was stern, but he was smiling. He walked over and crawled into bed, settled himself beside her and put an arm around her shoulder. Elise gave a small growl of frustration before she accepted his kiss, then leaned back to watch Rad.

Rad took longer removing his pants, leaving his underwear until last. He slowly inched it down, revealing his lean hips and the thin trail of golden brown hair that ran from his belly to his groin, but stopped short of baring the bulge that Elise could see outlined through the clingy fabric. Giving her a scorching look, he slid a hand down the front of his lowered underwear and cupped himself. “Are you ready for the main attraction, baby?”

Trey rolled his eyes and murmured, “Modest, isn’t he?”

Trey may not have appreciated his brother’s sex appeal, but Elise certainly did. The way Rad used the modern endearment he’d learned from her made her cream her panties every time. She swallowed hard as another rush of wetness flooded her pussy.

“Mm, yes,” she answered huskily. “Take it off, stud.” Rad gave her his back, and she hungrily watched his muscles ripple as he slowly removed his underwear. He used the garment to conceal his groin as he turned back around. When he swiveled his hips, then gave a suggestive forward thrust, Elise giggled again, loving it. “Oo, bow-chicka-wow wow, babe. Yeah, shake it.”

“Shake it? All right, baby. Brace yourself.” Rad grinned, dropped the underwear, then clasped his hands behind his head and shimmied, making his now hard cock slap back and forth against his hips. Elise squealed and burst out laughing.

Trey snorted beside her. “I’m embarrassed to be related to him.”

Rad chuckled as he sauntered to the bed and settled in next to Elise’s other side. “You’re just jealous because I made her squeal.”

Elise gave each of them a kiss. “You were both great, and gorgeous. I’m talking major beef cake.”

“Beef cake?” Trey scowled. “If that’s anything like a cow pie, I think we’ve just been insulted.”

“No silly,” Elise laughed, then snuggled down between their warm bodies and sighed. “It’s a modern term. It means a nicely muscled male body. I can see I’m going to have to spend a lot of time from now on explaining all my figures of speech.”

“People from the twenty-first century certainly have added some interesting twists to the English language,” Trey replied.

“Ah yes, verbal gems like ‘hiding the salami’,” Rad said dryly.

They bantered and teased comfortably for a while longer before finally becoming more serious, their caresses languid and peaceful. Both men lay facing her on their sides, Trey brushed his fingers up and down her arm, while Rad made slow circles over her tummy with his big warm hand. Feeling him stroking her there made Elise’s thoughts turn to their future. They would be having babies together someday. Their children would begin life in her womb.

“Have you guys given any more thought to where we’re going to live? I don’t want to be pushy or anything, but I really don’t want to stay too long in the boarding house. I miss being together like this.”

Rad’s expression darkened instantly and his hand stilled on her belly. “You’re not going back to the boarding house,” he ground out. “You’re staying with us. A woman shouldn’t be living alone in the first place. We were fools to allow it and almost lost you because of that mistake.” The modern woman in Elise bristled at the tone in his voice that said there would be no discussion in the matter, but she wasn’t about to argue when his demand was exactly what she was hoping for in the first place.

“You know how much I want that too, but what about Rachael? The fact still remains that we cannot put her at risk like that. If people find out-”

Trey took a deep breath. “Elise, some things have happened that you don’t know about. We didn’t tell you about them yet because we don’t want you to worry.” He went on to tell her about how their secret was now out and about Rachael’s heartbreak. “She’s been gone for over four days. We have a private investigator looking for her.”

Elise’s stomach clenched with dread at the news. “Oh, Trey, she’s out there somewhere all alone. Isn’t there anything else we can do but sit around and wait to hear something?” Rachael was eighteen, innocent and pretty, and even in 1850, New York was a good sized city. God only knew what kind of sharks could be circling her that very moment.

Rad glanced up at Trey before he spoke. “We don’t think she’s alone. Oliver hasn’t shown up to finish out his last few days here. I checked with his parents. He’s gone, too.”

Elise released a breath. “Well, I know it’s not exactly proper for them run off together like that, but I must admit, I’m relieved he’s with her. Oliver cares for Rachael. He’ll make sure she’s safe.”

“Hmm, safe from others maybe,” Trey growled. “If he knows what’s good for him, she’d better be returned with her virtue intact.”

“They’re young adults and they’re in love. Be realistic,” Elise advised.

Trey’s brows drew together. “In love? Since when? I know Rachael always thought of Oliver as her personal servant, but when did all this blossom into love?”

“I think gradually. Rachael was very upset that Oliver was leaving your employ. We talked about it a bit and it was clear to me she has feelings for him that go beyond fondness for an employee.”

Rad swore softly. “So help me, if Oliver takes advantage of Rachael’s innocence, I’ll kick the little bastard’s ass.”

“And if she ends up pregnant, I’ll wring his skinny Irish neck,” Trey finished.

Elise’s mouth fell open at the venom in their words. “Listen to you two! Don’t you think it’s the height of hypocrisy for you to condemn Rachael and Oliver for indulging in intimate relations when you are doing the same thing with me? For Pete’s sake, we stood in front of Rachael last week and asked her to acc
ept our unusual relationship against her very valid objections. How can you not afford her the same consideration?”

Trey just growled low in his throat and Rad was only able to offer a lame, “But she’s our baby sister.”

“She’s a grown woman, and it’s about time you started treating her like one,” Elise declared. “And there will be no ass kicking or neck wringing. Is that clear?”

Rad’s lips twitched. “You’re getting’ a mite bossy, darlin’.”

Elise grinned then, grabbed him by his ears and drew his head down until their noses touched. “I am fucking bossy, and you’re going to do what I say,” she growled.

It was clear Rad recognized her reference to an earlier torrid moment between them. He raised his chin and nipped her nose playfully. “You just wait, you saucy wench. You’re sorely in need of a little attitude adjustment, and as soon as you’re fully recovered I aim to provide it.”

“And I’ll be happy to lend a hand,” Trey added, giving her shoulder a soft bite.

Elise gave a phony gasp of shock. “That’s what you think. You’re not the boss of me, Trey Kingston.” She smiled at the wicked gleam in his eyes.

“You can bet your sweet ass that I am,” Trey said, as he slipped his hand under the hem of her nightgown and found her wet center. “And you love it.”

“Mm, she does,” Rad agreed, his finger circling her rock hard nipple through her gown, then plucking it lightly. “She talks a good fight, but her body knows who her masters are.”

“Of all the arrogant…” Elise gasped and arched into Rad’s touch. “You two are as bad as a… a…” She gave a little cry as Trey’s fingers filled her pussy and his thumb teased her clit. “…a couple of cavemen.” Rad opened the front of her nightgown and covered her nipple with his hot, wet mouth. Her token resistance melted away and she sighed. “And you’re right, I love it.”

  Chapter Twenty-three

  "She's what?"

Elise flinched at the anger in Trey's voice as he stood and planted his hands flat upon the desktop, glaring at the stoic man sitting before him in his study.

  "You’re sure you haven’t made a mistake?"

"Fraid not, Mr. Kingston." Hank Patterson, well-used to the reactions of clients when his services resulted in unexpected revelations, calmly fished a wrinkled piece of paper from his pocket. "I even talked to her landlady in Schenectady, a...uh, Mrs. McKinley. Showed her that small portrait of your sister you gave me and she confirmed that Miss Kingston is renting rooms in the upstairs of her house. Well, I guess I should say Mrs. Sheahan, seein' how she's married and all."

Muttering an oath, Trey sunk back into his chair, letting the realization sink in. Rachael and Oliver had eloped.

Elise got up and went to him, laying a hand on his shoulder. "Trey, it's not that bad. Rachael's a little young for marriage, but she could have picked a worse husband. Oliver's kind and hard-working, and I have no doubt he'll succeed in bettering his position."

"Of course he'll succeed," Trey grumbled. "He knows damn well I won't let my sister waste her life away as the wife of a domestic servant."

"Trey!" Elise gasped. "I can't believe you'd think Oliver would be capable of such a heartless scheme. The young man worked for you for years. It’s clear he’s deeply in love with Rachael. For Pete's sake, he practically worshipped the ground she walked on."

The sound of a clearing throat made them both turn to Patterson. "I'll, uh, just leave your sister's address and the bill for my services on the desk, Mr. Kingston. Hope everything works out for you folks."

Trey was still scowling, but nodded. "Thank you for your help, Patterson. You do good work."

The detective had no sooner left the room than Rad entered. "I just saw Patterson leaving. Any news?"

Trey's expression was dark and agitated. "Come on in and sit down. It looks like we'll be making a trip to Schenectady."

  ****

It was still fairly early that evening and Elise sat on the rug before the fireplace, warming her icy toes before the blaze set to ward off the heavy November chill, when Rad came into her bedroom. It didn’t surprise her that he hadn’t bothered to wait until later when the servants retired for the night. For the past week since she’d been back living with Trey and Rad, they'd been less secretive about their relationship. It seemed most of the servants suspected and it didn't really matter anymore what society thought of them. In a strange way, their expulsion from polite society had freed them to live as they chose.

The men with whom the Kingstons did business were more concerned with lining their own pockets than they were about the private life or background of their business associates. Most would barter with the devil if they thought they could make a profit. It was the women of New York society who were unforgiving in their condemnation. So far, they hadn't been invited to any social gatherings and had received no polite calls, and Trey warned Elise not to expect any. Not that it mattered to Elise. She'd never been a social butterfly and she was perfectly content to live a quiet life with Trey and Rad.

Because of their preoccupation with Rachael’s whereabouts, they hadn’t really discussed any concrete plans for their future together. Though Elise knew she would be marrying one of the brothers eventually, presumably Trey, since he was the older of the two, there had been no formal proposal as of yet. But she hoped it would be soon. She wasn’t sure she should say anything yet, because she wasn’t certain and didn’t want to alarm Trey and Rad unnecessarily, but her period was nearly a week late.

It could very well be a false alarm. She had no way of really knowing if Elizabeth’s monthlies were regular in the past or not; this body was relatively new to her. And they had been careful to take precautions during their lovemaking, although she wasn’t sure how reliable the withdrawal method was, not to mention the vinegar sponge. After all, it would only take one sperm to fertilize her egg, and with the number of times she’d had sex in the past month, it wouldn’t be surprising if one of the little buggers slipped through.

Rad took one look at Elise's white toes sticking out from beneath the hem of her robe and smiled. "Warm them up good, sweetness. I almost hit the ceiling last night when I felt those ice blocks of yours ridin’ up my leg."

Elise chuckled and motioned for him to join her. "Well, you know what they say: cold feet, warm heart."

Rad eased himself down behind her with the chair at his back, stretched his long legs out on either side of her then drug her back against his chest, enveloping her in his toasty warm embrace. “Funny, I’ve always heard it as cold feet, hot cunny.” He ran his hand up under her robe and cupped her mound. “Ah yes, you’re hot as a pistol here, so I must be right.”

“My cunny’s always hot for you, even when my feet aren’t cold.” She snuggled back against him and opened her legs wider so he could stroke her freely. “I’m afraid I’m a shameless hussy when it comes to you and Trey. Speaking of Trey, where is he?”

Rad brushed aside her hair and kissed her neck. “Finishing some paperwork before we leave tomorrow morning. Are you all packed?”

  “I am.”

“Thank you for agreeing to come with us. I know you’re still stiff from the accident and the long train ride probably won’t be very comfortable for you.”

“I wouldn’t dream of staying behind,” Elise replied, turning her head to place a kiss on his lips, then teasing, “Someone has to keep you and your brother from making Rachael a widow.”

“Seriously, darlin’, we wouldn’t go that far. Maybe just rough him up some…”

Elise pinched his arm and was rewarded with his exaggerated yelp of pain. “You will do no such thing.” She sighed as he intensified his stroking of her rapidly moistening flesh.

“Mmm, baby, I do love pettin’ your pretty pussy,” Rad murmured in her ear.

“Nice way to change the subject, Radcliffe. Very smooth,” she chided lightly. “But I mean it, no violence. Promise?”

“I promise, darlin’,” he conceded. “
But I really do love petting you. Mmm, such a soft, silky little pelt.” He ran his fingers through the curls on her mound.

“Yes, well, I’m glad you appreciate it, but I’d prefer to have a bit less down there.” At his questioning murmur, she explained, “Back in my other life, I usually kept things…well, neater down there, but the razors I had then were much smaller than they are now and safe.”

She felt Rad’s body go still for a second. “You shaved your cunny?”

Elise giggled. “Are you shocked? It wasn’t considered unusual at all in that time. In the future, women wear much more revealing clothes, like bikinis, which are swimsuits that just barely cover the breasts and genital area. No woman wants her pubic hair showing when she’s wearing a bikini, so we shaved or waxed it off.”

Elise felt a faint moan vibrate through Rad’s chest. “Let’s do it,” he said in a desire roughened voice.

“What, shave me?” Elise turned her head to look up at him. “With one of those straight razors? Are you kidding me? I’ll cut myself to ribbons.”

“I’ll do it. I have a smaller one that would work, and I’m very good with it.” Elise gave him a skeptical look. “Elise, I shave this mug every day and you don’t see any scars, do you? Come on. I promise I won’t cut you. Trust me.”

Elise wasn’t certain how he managed to talk her into it, but fifteen minutes later, she was lying in front of the fireplace with her bottom on a towel and Rad was applying foamy shaving soap to her privates. When he unfolded the small razor, Elise cringed, her legs starting to close instinctively.

“Elise,” Rad scolded. “Don’t move. Please, you have to stay very still, and keep your legs spread wide so I have space to work.” He put a hand on her tummy to reassure her. “Just relax, and trust me.”

Taking a deep breath, Elise let her legs drop back open. “All right, go ahead,” she said, then added, “I always cleaned up the sides and left just a neat triangle of hair right at the top.” Rad mumbled his agreement then went to work. Elise held her breath for the first few strokes, but then, having felt no stinging bites of the razor, she started to trust in Rad’s competence and relaxed. She closed her eyes and focused on the feel of his fingers as he gently manipulated her flesh to make a smooth surface for the razor to glide over, shielded her tender petals to protect them from any nicks.
