It was almost noon, two days later, when someone buzzed at the front door of my man-cave. I was annoyed. I was still feeling down about the way Karen had been with Ted in the shower, and I was in no mood to be disturbed. I grabbed the computer’s mouse and clicked on an icon. Views from the various security cameras popped up on the screen. I looked at the one showing the front door. It was Karen.
I reached under the desk and pressed the button that operated the electronic door lock. It buzzed her in. A minute later, I heard her open and close the door to the outer room. I waited for her to come into my office. When she didn’t, I started to get up. Just then, she appeared in my office doorway, dressed in nothing but the special panties I had given her. She glanced at me and then looked away. I thought I detected a bit of a smirk as she marched across my office and through the door to the adjoining bedroom.

In an indirect way, I’m here as a writer of erotica because I’m a fan of the late Robert B. Parker. In particular, I admire his character development and dialog skills. As part of my effort to learn the craft of writing, I decided to read the many novels in his Spenser series, in chronological sequence, so that I could study how his skills evolved over the years.
I was searching Amazon.com for one of his novels, Now and Then, when I discovered John Locke’s similarly titled novel Now & Then. I thus was introduced to the zany world of Donovan Creed, and I came to learn of Mr. Locke’s impressive self-published e-book success. Shortly thereafter, I happened to read a magazine article about the self-published e-book success of Amanda Hocking. These two authors opened my eyes to the potential of self-publishing for the Kindle.
A bit later, I was perusing the Kindle bestseller list, following the rankings Mr. Locke’s books, when I stumbled on Selena Kitt’s Babysitting the Baumgartners, which became my introduction to the world of e-book erotica. And then, of course, I found E L James and her Fifty Shades of Grey, which took BSDM mainstream, much as Deep Throat took porn movies mainstream back in the early ‘70s.
About a decade ago, I wrote several stories based on some of my own erotic exploits. I wrote them more for the writing practice and concomitant stimulation than with the intention of publishing them. But after discovering the world of e-book erotica, I decided to dust them off and offer them for others to experience. Once I got started updating the few stories I had written years ago, I began adding to the collection.
Some of my stories are purely imaginary, and some were inspired by real-life experiences. I’ll leave it to the reader to try to discern which are which. As the saying goes, however, truth can be stranger than fiction. Where the stories were inspired by real experiences, I have changed names, places, and other details sufficiently to protect the privacy of others involved.
I moved to Hawaii as an adolescent and have lived here ever since. And that is why, even though location often isn’t particularly important for my stories, most of them take place here.
