“Your turn,” she insisted, her smile shy, soft green eyes beguiling.

  Chapter Twenty-Seven

Grinning, intensely happy, Naithon sat back on his heels, reached behind his back, grasped his shirt, yanked it over his head and tossed it to the floor. “Better?”

Kiri nodded, her gaze drinking in his physique. “You have a lot of muscles, Naithon.” She studied them with earnest interest.

He leaned over her, she put her hands on his chest, slid her fingers into the dark hair that matted it. His bulging biceps drew her attention, she tried to squeeze them and giggled when she couldn’t.

“Too strong, Naithon,” she admired, her fingers couldn’t even halfway encircle the huge arms.

Kiri touched a tattoo that scribbled across a collarbone, and felt the hard muscles of his pecs. She pushed up on her elbows and licked then bit one of his flat nipples.

“Hey!” he squawked sitting back with a shiver, his hand over his nipple. She laughed at him, he grinned. “You little minx, now, it’s time.” He sat back on his heels again and tugged at his belt, his expression turned serious. “Okay?”

“I, uh, yes,” she said softly. The daze left her green eyes as they widened in fear even as her skin flushed in desire. “I’m…ready, Naithon.”

His held breath blew out, and he grinned broadly. Unbuttoning, unzipping his pants, he shifted off the bed, stood up, and shoved his trousers down, kicked them off. His feet were bare, he wore only his briefs, then they were gone. His erection was thick and heavy, he wrapped a fist around it, pumped once. Kiri’s smile fell.

Climbing back on the bed between her legs, he pushed her slender thighs wider as he moved closer to her. “I’m not going to hurt you, well, maybe a little, but it’ll get better, I promise. Don’t be afraid of me, Kiri, I can’t stand it.”

Lying on her back looking up at him, she blinked wordlessly, worried her lower lip with her teeth.

Naithon lowered to her, his hand holding his dick near her opening, he said quietly, “You want me to stop, you tell me, I will.” He braced on one palm and touched his penis to her opening, and she said, “Stop.”

“Stop?” he froze, disappointment curled up his chest.

  “Condom.”

“Condom?” he repeated, confused. “I haven’t been with a woman the second I planned to take you, baby, that’s been a long while and I always wore latex. I’ve recently seen Doc Maankov for insurance purposes, I have no diseases.” He hadn’t told her he’d opened a huge insurance policy making her his beneficiary.

  “I could get pregnant.”

That brought a big grin. “Ja, you could.” He nudged at her opening, she pushed at his chest.

  “No. I can’t get pregnant.”

“Yes, you can. I can’t wait to fill your belly with my babes. I’ve wanted that since I first saw you. I mean, not when you were little, but every time I saw you later over the years. I told you, I want a family with you. I want miniature Kiris dashing all around the house.”

“But you don’t care what I want. You never did.” Her frown said she was back to believing he would use her and toss her aside. He was like that gorilla ready to escape his cage, looming in front of her, waiting to pounce. The big, brawny, huge chest matted with dark hair over slabs of muscle hovered over her. His virile heat pushing around her, his masculine scent sifting inside her nostrils.

Shifting to kneel, he sat back on his heels. He pronged thick fingers through his wavy blond hair then set his tough hands on his muscular thighs. “That was true, in the beginning. I never lied about who I am, what I am. Ja, I took you for me, didn’t care about your fears, concerns, desires. I just had a…burning hunger for you that I knew deep down inside was permanent. But, baby, I’m a gangster; we don’t give a shit about anyone or anything else except our own goals. We’re bred to be self-centered sociopaths.”

  “Yes, you see-”

He kept talking, “I knew if I took you it would be forever, whether you wanted it or not. In our mobster world we can do that. Take and keep women, willing or not. Just like your da selling you to Rueford against your will. But, Kiri, I didn’t know you then. Now I do. Slowly, surely, gently, you are changing me.”

“You don’t care about my happiness.” Her lips pouted in a sad purse.

He shook his head, palmed thick hair out of his eyes. “I do want you to be happy. That’s why I gave you that studio, letting you do work, design the tasting room, got you Kako. Everything I can think of that you could want that would make you happy, content.

“Even took you to see your da in the hospital when every atom in my body screamed to keep you safe behind my locked doors. But I did take you to the hospital and Piero’s funeral, to make you happy.” And because you threatened to withhold yourself from me.

“Make your prisoner content so she won’t try to run away from you.”

A slice of guilt flicked in his eyes, he shrugged. “That was part of it in the beginning. But, Kiri, I swear to you, I really want you to be happy, to stay with me because you want to. Baby,” his shoulders tensed, “those two times when I thought you had been taken, I was mindless with terror. Sure, because I didn’t want you to leave me, but, the idea that you were being hurt, or worse,” a shiver slid up his spine at the memory of seeing that man shoving her in that van.

“I…I think I wouldn’t survive it if you were ever…badly hurt.” He couldn’t push the word killed past his lips.

For once in his life, Naithon Adranokov felt joy waking up in the morning, because his day would begin with Kiri, continue with her in his mind knowing she was in his house even if he wasn’t home, and end in bed at night with her. She brought lightness, and light, soft music and color to his world. He would wither like a flower without sunlight and die if she disappeared from his life. He had become more now, almost human, he’d said it before, she was saving him.

“Kiri, I’m a selfish bastard, I want it all. I want you, you are the very air I need to breathe to live, and I want you to be happy, to want to stay with me, build a family with me.”

“But, tell me, Naithon, if I didn’t want to stay, would you let me leave?”

Lines around his eyes constricted, his mouth tightened, their eyes were connected, hers wide and pure, he lowered his without answering her.

“That’s what I thought. The mobster mentality.”

Naithon looked off to the side, he moved to leave the bed.

Her voice soft, she asked quietly, “Where are you going?”

He glanced back at her, tried to hide his disappointment, and guilt. “Gonna put my clothes on.”

  “Why?”

“I, uh, have work to do.”

  “Naithon,” she said gently.

He didn’t look at her, said gruffly, “Ja?”

“I want to stay, for now anyway. And,” she sat up a little, drew her fingers down his arm, tracing a tattoo, said softly, “I want to make love with you.”

Naithon blinked, his shoulders contracted, he looked over his shoulder at her. A tress of mahogany hair sexily covered one eye, more waved over her bare shoulder, one lock curled around her breast. “You do? You want to stay with me?” He experienced the sultriest look he’d ever seen on a female, it zipped down and ignited his dick. Sumptuous lips smiled at him, her eyes inviting him to be with her.

A small laugh trickled from her gorgeous lips. “Yes, for now. We need to see how we work out.”

“Oh.” He turned fully around, his gaze hot and hungry ran over her naked body. He watched her fingers trail down his arm. One brow arched and wriggled, he asked, “You really still want to fu- uh, make love with me?”

Her head bowed, she peered up at him shyly though her long lashes. “Yeah.”

His voice thick, he whispered, “Lamb,” and moved to face her, to crawl back between her legs.

She held a hand up. “Wait.”

He halted, but his heated eyes never stopped moving over her body. “What?” The erection that had ignited
hung like a wooden bat between his legs.

  “Condom.”

“Ja,” he sighed. Stretching, he reached to the end table, opened the drawer, took out a condom.

“You said you never have brought a woman in here before, yet you have condoms right by the bed?”

His grin unabashed, he admitted, “Bought them the day I decided to take you. I knew we would be banging eventually, I was prepared.” Moving back to her, he smiled as she lay back down. “Baby?” he said in question, a hand coiling over her breast.

“Yes?” Her arms raised to receive him.

  “Do you want children?”

“Someday. Not today. I’m too young, I want a career, and I want to know that the man I chose to have them with, is the right one.”

He paused. “What does that mean? Are you saying you can’t want me, because I’m a hoodlum and I abducted you and am holding you against your will?”

“I shouldn’t want you because you took me yeah, but,” her smile lifted, she stroked her palm over his forearm, she said, “you are growing on me. Go figure, last thing I would want would be to fall for a mobster, like my family.”

Naithon’s jaw worked. “I know. You are way too good for me. I am corrupt and my hands are dirty and filled with blood. It’s well known I’m a bad man. You are way too sweet, and pure, kind and brave, so gorgeous you could have any man you wanted. I knew you would never have given an outlaw, a crude thug like me a shot. That’s why I just took you.”

“Well, let’s see how things go, okay? For now.”

He shifted down and spread his body over hers. His brow down low, he said with displeasure, “I don’t like that you keep saying, ‘for now.’ I want forever. I want to know you’re mine, that you will never leave me.” A shoulder bumped. “I guess I’ll have to work really hard to make that for now of yours, turn into forever. Ja?”

“Yeah,” she agreed with a grin. Stroking her hands up his chest then around his neck she pulled his head down.

Naithon suckled her lips then her breasts, he moved to the side of her and stroked her feminine parts until her hips squirmed against his hand and she moaned his name. He pushed two fingers inside her and caressed her hot spot and she started begging.

“Naithon, Naithon, please, it’s too- too-” her head rocked back and forth.

Staring at her lovely face, Naithon watched her eyes rolling back, her chest billowing, and he removed his hand from her body smiling at her groan.

  “Naithon, please…”

“Patience, lamb, I’m doing what you asked.” He tore the package open and slid the condom down his length, then moved to his knees and stroked his shaft up and down her wet folds until she was crying nonsensical words.

Pushing her legs wide, he nestled his hips between them and prodded at her opening. “Okay my beautiful baby, I’ll try not to hurt you,” the strain of holding himself back wracked roughly in his throat. He pushed a bit hard to get the head of his manhood inside her, and she gasped, he felt her tighten around him.

“All right, baby, just relax, like when my mouth is on you, my fingers inside, let me in.”

With short shallow breaths, Kiri strove to relax her legs, ease the tightness in her sheath to allow him to press further inside. Naithon pushed a little, then paused for her to adapt to him, then he pushed slowly, carefully. Her body opened to his heavy length inch by inch, him grunting, her gasping through the slight pain of his filling her, stretching her. He had gotten her so wet it made his shaft slide in easier.

When she accepted every inch of his aching erection, their bodies knit together like lovers of the millennia have done since the dawn of time, and they sighed in blessed joy. Naithon let out his held breath, he had feared this day, this moment would never come. Finally, she was his.

Reaching the end of her, Naithon stopped, let her adjust. He smiled as she squirmed a little to get more comfortable, wedging him in more deeply, he asked, “You okay, lamb?”

A short huff, her vagina clamped on him and he croaked, and she laughed. A purr ruffled out, she murmured, “I’m good, Naithon, real good.” Her small fingers curled over his shoulders.

“Ja?” He braced on his elbows, and grinned. “Finally, right where I’ve always wanted you. Pinned beneath me naked, staked on my dick.”

He sobered, said quietly, “I love you, Kiri Rose,” and he bent and kissed her. He sucked her lips then drew his head back and said, “Okay, lamb, hold on tight, we’re goin’ for a wild ride,” and he pulled back slowly then thrust in, did it again, and thrust harder.

Naithon was fairly gentle at first, as he studied her, judging how she was taking him. Her breasts bobbled, he bent and nipped at one and smiled at the smile that relieved the tension from her face. Seeing that he wasn’t hurting her, he went to town. Reaching under her, he gripped her bottom, squeezed, and lifted her off the bed so he could drive deeper into her soft body.

Kiri squealed, and he laughed, and drove deeper, hastening his rhythm, until neither was smiling. Soaring in their own orbit, they were carried away together, blasting off in a spiraling wildfire of sensation.

Kiri dug her nails into his shoulders, and did the only thing she could do, hold on. Naithon thrust in her so hard, so fast, he shoved her deep into the mattress. He lifted one of her knees, wrapped her leg around his hips, she did the same with her other leg, and he pummeled faster until both were unraveling in rapture, gasping and grunting. He reached between them and roughly thumbed her clit.

“Ready, baby?” he grunted. He wanted this to last, stay as they were right now forever, but the strain of holding back was killing him. Brain hurtling toward absolute inebriation, tweaking her clit hard, he urged, “Now, Kiri, let go now,” and he pounded her over the mountain.

Kiri went flying ablaze with color, the blood rushed in her head deafening her, yet she could feel vibrations of Naithon’s grunting rumbles as he thrust her off the cliff. She shrieked, flying through the air and then cried his name tumbling all the way down.

Feeling her channel wringing his dick, her body convulsing around him, his balls pulled in tight as a fist, Naithon released his control, and he followed her over the moon.

White heat sizzled through his brain, he’d never felt so high, his balls clamped and then let loose. He gave one enormous push then held taut, his seeds burst from his shaft. As it pulsed he thrust in hard jerks again and again, roaring Kiri’s name, his seeds undulating out of his body, jerking him spastically as they expelled.

Spasms rippling through him, Naithon thought he was going to black out, never before had he felt this extraordinary sensation, exquisite pain and ecstasy so entwined he couldn’t tell one from the other. He held his shuddering body over Kiri, until he was spent, and he flopped down beside her, gasping into her neck, with only part of his body covering hers.

All they could manage was to lie there, their breathing loud and heavy, rapid, pleasantly dizzy and dazed, as their pulses slowed.

After a few minutes of blissful afterglow, Naithon stirred. Grumbling, he rolled off the bed, stumbled into the bathroom to dispose of the condom.

He cleaned up then brought a warm damp cloth to take care of Kiri. Little pleased mews purred from her as he cleaned her. Dropping the cloth on the floor, he crawled back on the bed and pulled her into his arms.

She snuggled, smiling in weary contented happiness, humming her joy as her lids fell over drowsy eyes.

“Baby?” Naithon murmured in her ear.

“Yeah?” she sighed already half asleep.

“Let me know when you’re ready to go again.”

She giggled against his chest, yawned a dreamy, “Okay.”

  Chapter Twenty-Eight

After breakfast the next day, Kiri working in her studio, looked up to Naithon standing in the open doorway.

The man had a completely inscrutable expression, a perfect poker face. To most people he was blankly unreadable, nothing but cold eyes and hard features, it was like something nonhuman resided in
his body. It made him bone- chilling when he set his sights on a person.

His friends could read him, and Kiri was beginning to, and when she saw his expression, her stomach sunk like a ship. Something was wrong. She set down the piece she was working on and stood up. Wiping her hands on a towel, with a small catch in her voice, she said warily, “What is it, Naithon?”

He took a step inside, and she saw whatever it was flicker across his face and it was gone. “Naithon?” Clearly, whatever it was he didn’t want to tell her. Her hand at her throat, she asked, “Who?”

Three long strides and he was to her. He grasped her arms to steady her, said brusquely, “It’s Janero.”

Her breath sucked in sharp with her desperate cry, “No, oh no, God, no, please,” she fell against him.

Naithon rolled his arms around her, supporting her as her legs suddenly had no strength. He said quickly, “He’s not dead, Kiri, he’s…in bad shape, but he’s still alive.”

She jerked back from him but he held her. “I have to-”

“I know. I will take you to him. He’s not in the hospital, he is at an Urgent Care that we…control. Get your jacket, the car is already out front.”

They took the elevator as her wooden legs refused to carry her. Naithon held her up with his arm around her. All the way to the Urgent Care, they held hands.

In the car, her palm pressed against her heart, she asked, “How…what happened, Naithon?” It took everything she had to keep the tremor out of her devastated voice.

He squeezed her hand and told her, “A bomb. Same kind that was used on my brother.”

She shifted from staring out the side window to him, the line between her brows showing her consternation. “But, if your brother, and my brother were attacked by the same…are you sure that different people didn’t make the bombs?”

Shaking his head, he turned to look down at her. “Same everything down to the way the pieces were put together. Ja,” he absently squeezed her hand again. “We can’t figure it out. It just makes it seem even clearer that it isn’t the Delduccis hitting the Adranokovs, and the Adranokovs aren’t hitting the Delduccis. Appears to be a third party trying to instigate war between us. But then,” he sighed.
