“I’m right here.”
“Why yo’ crazy ass sitting in here in the dark and shit?” He said flipping on the light switch. “I thought something was wrong, it was dark as shit in this bitch.” He smiled and then walked over to where I was. The closer he got the more he started to pay attention to what was in my hand.
He raised an eyebrow and then leaned over me to see the results of the test; I moved my fingers so he could see. I made sure to never take my eyes off his face because I wanted to see his expression. It would tell me what I needed to know. The fact that he was showing no emotions at all was freaking me out. His face was even and his body language gave me no indication of how he was feeling about the situation. I hated when he did that.
He swung his dreads that were hanging freely out of his face and he looked at me in the eyes then all a sudden, the corners of his mouth turned up and I even saw a glimmer in his eye.
“So, you giving me my first baby boy?”
Tears immediately started to fall from my eyes because he was actually happy about it or he seemed to be.
“Or girl.” I smiled through my tears.
He shook his head. “I had a dream the other night I had a son. I just didn’t say shit.” He got on his knees and positioned himself in between my legs and kissed my still flat belly. “Hey baby, this ya daddy, hurry up and grow so you can come out here and holla at cha pops. I got some shit I need to teach you.” I smiled so hard I thought my face would crack. “So, you know if you try and move out of here I will chain yo’ ass up right. I mean I would have before, but now you carrying my seed, it’s official.” He threatened.
“As long as you keep your word to never hurt me again, I’m here.” I promised.
“I promise you that, baby.”
He leaned up to kiss me and I had to close my eyes to savor the moment. I just knew that things were gonna go up from here. I was happy that I was about to get my happily ever after.
“Oh, I punched your bitch in the mouth today.” I said after he broke the kiss.
“Huh?” he asked and then it clicked. He frowned up. “So, you think that shit cool to be out here fighting while you pregnant? The fuck wrong with you, Jenacia.”
“Well I didn’t know I was pregnant, and it wasn’t a fight, I hit that bitch in the mouth and she stood there like I knew she would.” I rolled my eyes. “She walked in the bathroom while I was throwing up and was talking all slick about how you gonna leave me if I’m pregnant, because you always said you didn’t want kids and shit like that.”
“I told her I didn’t want kids because I didn’t want them with her.”
“I know, that’s what I told her, and she kept on, so I felt the need to shut her the fuck up, and I did.” I shrugged.
“Well, let that be the last time. Don’t worry about her because I warned her ass once and she don’t listen, so I’ll handle that shit. You just worry about carrying my son.” He went back to kissing on my belly. “Why you got this little shit on with no underwear on.”
“Why can’t yo’ ass focus.” I laughed. “We were talking about the life that we are about to bring in this world.”
“And I’m happy about that but I heard that sex was very good for the baby, and helps with delivery, so let’s get started on being healthy.” He smirked and pulled me to the edge of the couch and spread my legs as far as they could go. “Thank you for giving me a son.”
“Kayson don’t get caught up in that, you very well may be blessed with a baby girl.”
“Nah, God never gives us more than we can bear.” He was serious as hell; I just couldn’t help the laugh that escaped my lips.
“You got issues.”
“Yep and I’m about to show you just how many.” He bit his bottom lip and those light brown eyes of his bore into my soul. If I wasn’t wet then, I damn sure was now. “Damn just look.”
He took his finger and moved it up and down my slit. I let a soft moan escape my lips. Even the smallest touch from this man lights me on fire. I could hear him unbuckling his pants and I anticipated the feeling of him.
“I love you, Jenacia.”
“I love you too, Kayson”
He placed his dick at my opening and forced his way in. I shivered from the pressure, and released the breath that I didn’t even know that I was holding in. My eyes rolled to the back of my head as I enjoyed the feeling of him moving in and out of my treasure box. This is one of the many reasons I loved this man like I did. He knew exactly how to make me happy. Now that our little family was growing, things could only go up from here.
Chapter Thirty-Five
Yameka
Laying here with Jaako is like a dream come true for me. I never thought this would happen. I just knew that he would never leave that bitch, Krista. I hate that it took all that for him to leave her, but so long as he did, I was good. She hadn’t gone away completely, she still called him, like now, and he was on the verge of blocking yet another one of her new numbers.
“This bitch is starting to piss me off, I’m just gonna change my number.” He blurted out. He snatched up the phone and yelled into the receiver. “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT?” He put the phone on speaker so that I could hear every word that she said.
“We need to talk Jaako; you can’t just shut me out of your life like this.” She whined on the other end of the phone. “You at least owe me a conversation.”
“Owe you?” He looked at the phone with his handsome face all scrunched up. “You sure you called the right person, because if my memory serves me right, you were the one that was fucking around with my brother and some other nigga, please tell me what the fuck I owe you?”
“Don’t act like you were innocent, you were fucking with the lawyer bitch.”
Jaako put his finger up to tell me to let him handle it. “Krista, don’t disrespect her like that again. I’m trying to be nice about the shit, but you are making it hard. You fucked up, whether you want to admit it or keep throwing the blame on everybody else; the ending is still the same. I’m done with you; I don’t want anything to do with you. I want you to stop calling me; there is nothing that you can say to me that would change anything about this situation. From the looks of it you won’t have any issues finding a man. I left the house, I let you keep your car, what the fuck else do you want from me, Krista?”
“A fucking conversation.” She yelled.
“That’s not gonna happen so now what?”
“Damn it Jaako, if you want me to leave you alone you’ll be at the house in an hour.” I could hear the desperation in her voice.
“I have ways to make you go away, trust me that’s not an issue.” He let out a sinister chuckle. I looked at him like he was crazy because he was crazy. Being a lawyer, his lawyer, I damn sure didn’t need to hear him say that. He winked, and I rolled my eyes.
“Jaako, just give me a conversation and if you still wanna walk away I will let you no problem.” She pleaded. I shook my head because she was really pathetic after all she did, and she expected him to go out of his way to accommodate her needs. He didn’t respond he just hung up the phone and turned it off.
“So, are you going?” I asked because I needed to be sure that he wasn’t about to fall for this bullshit.
“Hell no, there is nothing that she can say to me that will change the way I feel. I saw that shit with my own eyes. I saw my brother’s dick popping out of her mouth. There is no way in hell that I could ever consider anything with her.” He shook the thoughts away and then smiled and looked at me. “You ain’t got nothing to worry about baby, I’m all yours.” He leaned over and kissed me.
The kiss was nice and soft but there was a lot of meaning behind it. He was making sure that I knew that he was where we wanted to be. Jaako was a hopeless romantic and that was one of the things that I fell so hard for. He didn’t always say how he felt, but he always showed how he felt and that meant more than anything that he could have said.
He rose up and climbed on top of me, his lips were still att
ached to mine. He wedged himself in between my legs and positioned his monster at my opening and eased in. Looking me in the eyes, he didn’t move or anything he just stared at me.
“Have I ever told you that I loved you?” I didn’t say anything because I was stuck on what he was gonna say next. “If not, I love you, Yameka Tate; I’ve loved you from the moment I walked into your office. Even if you didn’t wanna give me no play then.” I smiled and then I laughed.
“I try not to get involved with my clients that could be trouble for me.” I ran my hands through his dreads, “but it was just something about you Mr. Barnes that I just couldn’t resist.” I said honestly.
“I hope it’s always like this.” He started to move slowly in and out of me, making sure that he teased my spot every time. “I could live in this pussy.” He said as he concentrated on making me cum.
“Shit baby, that feels so good.”
“Umhummm.” He snuggled his nose in my neck and continued a slow and rhythmic pace. He slid his hands under my ass so that he could go deeper, and I thought I would pass out from pleasure right then and there.
My nails slightly dug into his back as he slowly grinded into my most special place. I moaned out of control as he moved his hips in a circular motion not missing a thing. I could feel the tingling feeling in my toes; I knew it would be much longer before I came.
“Shit yo’ pussy hugging.” He said into my neck as he sped up his pace a little. Jaako could go for hours if he wanted to, but it was times like this where we both got so wrapped up in the feeling that we just let our bodies do what they want.
“Goooddddd, I love you.” I said, and I meant it, and not just because he was performing magic tricks on my body. I really did love Jaako and I have for a while. I just didn’t trust him or myself to be what we needed to be for each other. “Shit!” I yelled out and I came all over his dick and it was the best orgasm that I’ve had to date.
“I’m ‘bout to nut.” He lifted enough to place his lips on mine and we both rode the wave of ecstasy together as one.
“Hey Daddy, what are you doing here?”
“I need a reason to see my baby girl?”
“Well no, but I know you’re a busy man and all.” I got up from my desk and walked around to hug my daddy. I was the definition of a daddy’s girl for sure. There was no one in this world that could tell me that my daddy could do anything wrong.
Deshon Tate was the epitome of the word father, not only was he a stand-up father but he was also a stand-up guy in the community. My dad was the police chief of Charlotte; I know it’s crazy that I was in love with a drug dealer while my dad was the head nigga in charge down at the police station. You can’t help who you love.
“Who’s been occupying all your time? I never see you anymore.”
“No one, Dad, what are you talking about?” I blushed like a little school girl. In my dad’s eyes, no one would ever be good enough for his little girl. I didn’t know how he would take the fact that I was dating a client either, so I didn’t think that now was the right time to divulge who held my heart’s interests.
“You can do that shy thing if you want to but I know better.” He smiled. “I’m gonna give you a couple weeks to get him in shape to meet me and if you don’t bring him around by then, I’m gonna go out and find him myself, deal?” I nodded, and I knew he was serious.
“Okay Daddy, I got you.” I winked.
“You need to call your mother too, she’s been complaining about not seeing you and you know how she is.” he laughed and so did I.
“Lawd, don’t I know it.” I smiled thinking about my mom, she was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet until you made her mad or she didn’t get her way. Dad always said that I acted just like her and I could see that.
“Well I’m gonna let you get back to work, I have a few things I need to deal with myself.” He kissed me on the cheek and just like that he was gone as fast as he came.
I needed to get myself together so that I could introduce Jaako to my dad. Jaako had been in a little trouble before, but not enough to ring bells in my dad’s ears so I think we will be okay. Now to just convince Jaako that he needed to meet my dad.
Chapter Thirty-Six
Denari
Living out in Mooresville wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It was a little get away from the city living and I liked it and I actually thought about staying out here for good. I hadn’t been in any trouble lately, I’m still doing my shit with Perry behind everybody’s back, but I didn’t classify that as trouble. I was doing what I needed to do for me and to get my name back out there. As soon as I got where I needed to be I would let them in on it, and hopefully they got with the program.
That nigga Perry been calling like crazy talking about needing to up his shipment. It was already hard enough for me to get what I was getting, and to ask Joker to up the shipment was gonna be a fucking task. His scary ass was already talking about Kayson asking questions and shit like I gave a fuck. He could ask all he wanted, if the money was right there shouldn’t be a problem, now should it?
O had been calling me too, but I didn’t even feel like fucking with him right now. He was popping all that hot shit about me stealing from them, like I wasn’t a part of this shit too. Like I didn’t help build this shit. They all in their feelings cause that shit happened at the trap, but that could’ve happened to anybody, they just wanted to fuck with me.
“It’s so pretty out here.” Heaven said from the passenger side of the car.
“Yeah.”
“What’s wrong with you?” she asked.
“Nothing, just thinking about some shit.” I said and then my phone rang. “Yo.” I answered without looking to see who it was.
“Nigga, you thought about what we talked about?”
“Yeah nigga I thought about it, and I don’t know if I can do that. The risk is too fucking high.”
“And I thought you were supposed to be some big-time nigga.” Perry taunted. I don’t know why my ass didn’t check the caller ID, I had gotten good about it, but this time I was in my thoughts and didn’t even fucking think before I picked it up. “Well if you can’t do it point me in the direction of the nigga who can, ‘cause I ain’t got time to be playing with you.”
“Muthafucka I put you on, what you mean?”
“Right and I thought you were the nigga to see about this work. Shit, these muthafuckas blowing through the supply. I need more to follow the demand on the street.”
I couldn’t even front, I understood where he was coming from, because if you couldn’t supply the demand they went elsewhere no matter how good yo’ shit was. I knew I needed to find a way to get more shit, Joker’s ass was gonna have to man the fuck up, and fast.
“Man, I got you, I get it.”
“Good!”
He said before he hung up, I was gonna cuss his ass out when I saw him. I don’t know who he thought he was hanging the fuck up on me like he ran something. He was slowly crossing boundaries, and I needed to put a fucking stop to that shit fast.
“Everything okay?”
“Yep,” I said as I sat back and marinated over how in the fuck I was gonna get this shit done. I was gonna have to figure out a way, my name depended on it.
“Man, what the fuck you doing here?” Joker’s scary ass said as he looked around to make sure no one saw me.
“I need a favor my nigga.”
“I already told you, I can’t fucking do it. Kayson’s ass already triple counting shit. You know his ass notices everything and just like I thought he noticed that right off.”
“Kayson don’t give a fuck as long as the money right.”
“Nah that nigga talking about that’s how muthafuckas mess up by not knowing what the fuck going on under their nose.” He shook his head. “I ain’t trying to lose my life over this shit. My girl just gave birth to my fucking daughter.”
“Shit nigga, you already in deep as fuck.” I shrugged. When he mentioned his
daughter, I found my way in. “If you don’t do it then I’ma tell that nigga that you the one been helping me in the first place.” I looked at him and he looked like he wanted to fuck me up, but he knew better. “It’s in your best interest to go ahead and do that; your little girl needs you.”
“That’s fucked up, man.” He shook his head, he knew he didn’t have a choice and I knew he didn’t have one either.
“Yeah, I know, but it is what it is, I’ll be back in two days for the shipment and have my shit ready I don’t wanna have to fucking wait.”
“Yeah,” was all he said. I chuckled because that nigga was in his feelings. Hell, it ain’t like that nigga ain’t getting paid so I don’t know what the big deal is. He just better have my shit that’s all I know.
Chapter Thirty-Seven
Kayson
Shit was still coming up missing at the warehouse and it was starting to piss me off a little. Even though the money was right the product was off. I prided myself on being an organized muthafucka and this shit was fucking with me. I needed to get a handle on that shit and soon. I talked to Unc about it and he said that as long as the money matched up then I shouldn’t worry about it. That’s how muthafuckas got caught up, not knowing what the fuck was going on in they own shit and I was not about to be a part of that at all.
“Yo, so we heard anything from that nigga Ortiz yet?” Jaako asked at the desk beside mine that was located at the back of the warehouse.
“Nah not yet, but I got the fucking word out, whoever see that nigga; bring him to me alive.”
“I can’t wait to set my fucking eyes on that nigga.” Jaako gritted his teeth, I hated when he did that shit.
“I can’t believe that nigga doing all of this over a bitch though.”
Yes, Heaven was beautiful, but her ass wasn’t Beyoncé or nothing, she was definitely expendable. Then again, I can’t even say that because if a nigga came at me wrong about Jenacia then I would damn sure shoot up his whole got damn family. That nigga just chose the wrong family to run up on.
