“You okay, sweetness?” I asked, delicately stroking her pussy when the plug was in place.
“Yes,” she moaned.
“Feels good, right?”
“Oh, fuck yes!” she cried.
I slipped two fingers into her wet little pussy and fingered her to a massive orgasm. The stimulation from the butt plug intensifying the pleasure. Though I still had other tricks up my sleeve.
“You know, this is a special kind of butt plug.”
“I-it is?”
“Would like to see what else it can do.”
“Yes!”
At her word of command, I engaged the vibrator function, sending my young lover to a new dimension of ecstasy. I held her hand and stroked her hair as she came more than ever before. When she’d hit her final peak, I switched off the toy and very carefully withdrew it from her. Nina’s asshole stayed stretched open long after.
“This is how anal can feel good,” I said, tracing the outside of her stretched out asshole with my finger, “the giver still needs to be very careful, and there can never be too much lube, but it is vital that the receiver is properly stretched.”
“Yes, sir.”
The spank wasn’t hard but enough to make a sound — Nina’s yelp a combination of pleasure and pain.
“What have I said about calling me sir? I’m not a knight or your overlord.”
“Sorry, Chad.”
“That’s better,” I said, stroking the assailed area.

I thought they were going to knock the door down. The knocks loud enough to wake the dead. I rolled out of bed, pulling on a pair of jeans on the way to answer the door. I recognized him immediately. He was certainly in the news enough. He looked like Colonel Sanders with even worse fashion sense — his headgear the very epitome of all hat, no cattle.
“I know she’s here,” Dunn said, “the grunts at the garage told me where you were. I must say, I’m surprised she would go with such a brute. Particularly when she has a man like Arthur, a proper suitor who doesn’t have to get his hands dirty.”
“Odd, I thought you candy ass fops were supposed to be polite.”
“The time for politeness passed when you soiled my princess. I’m not leaving without her,” he said.
“No. You probably aren’t used to hearing that word, so I’ll give it time to penetrate that practical joke of a hat.”
“Listen here, you worthless piece of shit,” he said, shoving me back into the living room, closing the door behind him.
“No, you listen,” I said, recovering quickly, “I’ll give you ten seconds to get fuck out of my house before I beat you to death.”
“Is that right?” Dunn asked, putting his hands on his hips, revealing the grip of the revolver holstered under his jacket. Of course, the fucker hand a gun.
“Daddy, no.”
We both looked as Nina came out of the bedroom, fully dressed. Her eyes not leaving the floor the whole time. I watched in mute shock as Nina walked out my door, her smirking father close behind. Were it not for the gun, I would have broken every major bone in his body in at least two places.
Chapter Twenty-Three - Nina
I felt like a prisoner on the way to the gallows. We were only going to Auntie Blair’s so I could get the rest of my stuff, but I knew that was only the first stop. Soon enough, we would be heading back to Terrell Hills, where his control over me would again be total. I was sad as well as terrified that I’d be raising Chad’s baby alone or, worse, with a man who didn’t love me.
Would Daddy still even want me to keep dating Art if he knew I was pregnant? Would he make me get an abortion? There was only so long I could keep it a secret. There was even a chance he would disown me. My virtue too far fallen for him to even acknowledge my existence. I’d never really thought about it before, but there was something about that notion. The notion of ‘virtue’ and ‘purity’ in terms of sex, or more specifically, sexual experience, seemed off. It only seemed to apply to girls. Notions like promiscuity and ‘damaged goods’ never applied to men as far as I could tell.
I could hear them as I came back from the guest room, ready to meet my terrible fate, whatever might be.
“What I want to know,” Auntie Blair was saying, “is if you know what a dirty man-whore the sainted Arthur is?
I chuckled at her terminology. Never actually having heard the term ‘man-whore’ before. Though rude as it was, I couldn’t deny it certainly applied to Arthur Ross, my future husband, if my dad got his way.
“Well, now, that’s a real thought question. I suppose I’ve heard something’s being whispered on the rumor mill and whatnot, but that hardly has anything to do with anything. The real problem is you.
“Me?” Auntie Blair asked in all innocence.
“Cut the crap, Blair. You’ve always been into that equality bullshit. You’d probably been filling my innocent daughter’s head with all kinds of nonsense — crap about independence and free thought, and all those horse feathers. You already tried it with your sister as soon as you found out we were getting married. It didn’t work then, and it isn’t going to work now. Nina is my daughter, and it is my will she must follow until she is married. Then it will be her husband’s. God only knows what might happen if she is left to her own devices.”
To my surprise, and her credit, Auntie Blair burst out laughing, much to Daddy’s befuddled dismay. He really wasn’t used to women talking back to him, let alone laughing at him.
“That was very cute,” Auntie Blair said, catching her breath, “I wonder what Garrett would say about that.”
“That’s not the same, and you damn well know it! Garrett was my boy, and that was totally different. He was meant to grow up into my position and be the man of the family and take over the business — the only worth Nina has is as a wife. To try anything else is just misguided. I only agreed to this mechanic silliness because I thought it might be a fun little hobby when she wasn’t taking care of her house. Let that be an end to it.”
His expression was genuinely hilarious. Looking every inch the god-king of the galaxy he apparently thought himself to be. Auntie Blair and I exchanged a smirking look of silent understanding.
“I’d like to know the answer to that question, Auntie Blair’s question,” I said, dropping my bag as punctuation, “did you really know about Art being a cheating jerk? It actually seemed very relevant. Particularly since you insisted I stay pure for the future husband I never even wanted.
“Well, now that’s different, baby doll. It is quite natural for a man to want to explore a bit before getting married. Though it isn’t for a woman. A wife should only be for her husband.”
I was struck silent with rage. I’d always know Dad bought into some real bullshit, which only stood to reason considering some of grandpa’s attitudes, but actually hearing him say it out loud finally brought home what a controlling, manipulative, sexist jackass he really was.
“Bullshit.”
“Wh-what did you just say to me, young lady?”
“And you can drop the patronizing tone and nicknames too. It might have escaped your notice, but I am a legal adult. Despite what the voices in your head might tell you, you actually have no control over me at all if I say you don’t. I like to work. I like fixing things and making them work, and getting my hands dirty. I’m a laborer at heart, you heartless corporate drone, and I will never be like you or what you want me to be. I had a real chance at love, and you’ve ruined it for me. So you can get the hell out of my life.”
“Listen here, you ungrateful little brat, I’ll cut you out of my will if you don't do what I say. It is part of the price of inheritance. You will go to Arthur and beg his forgiveness and hope he’ll still marry you. Because if he doesn’t, you will never see one more cent.”
“Earl,” I said, unable to hold in my rage any longer, “go eat your fucking hat!”
It was almost comical. Dad’s eyes bulged to the ap
proximate size of ping-pong balls, as his face turned a shade of red to match his garish pocket square. It seemed as though all his breath came out at once in one big whoosh. Both hands flying up to hold his chest as he fell back onto a nearby chair like an old-fashioned movie vampire in reverse. I should have been worried. I should have tried to help, but I was too busy picking up my bag and marching right back to my bedroom to put everything right back where it was. Where it belonged. All to Auntie Blair’s raucous applause.
Chapter Twenty-Four - Nina
It smelled good. It smelled right. It smelled like victory. Auntie Blair was almost dancing as she made a full Texas breakfast. Something I hadn’t had in a very long time. Good, solid, simple, high-energy food for working people. It also smelled so great it made my tummy rumble in anticipation. I rubbed it gently, trying to calm the beast. It was then, of course, that it all came flooding back. The discovery, followed by the lovely sex. The interruption of my dad and what happened there. Everything I thought I would have or would be, both before and after I’d met Chad falling apart in a few hours.
“Hey, it’s okay, honey, just breathe,” Auntie Blair said, putting the skillet on the back burner to come over and stroke my back as I hyperventilated.
“Wh-what am I going to d-do?”
“Well, first things first. The most pressing issue is the little life growing inside you.”
“Yeah,” I said, nodding.
“If you don’t want to, you don’t have to tell Chad—”
“No,” I blurted before I could stop myself.
“Okay.”
“Sorry, but no, I can’t do that. This baby is Chad’s too. If nothing else, it will be a part of him to carry with me.”
“That makes sense,” Auntie Blair agreed, “though let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.”
“What can I do?” I asked.
“I’ll tell you what you can do. You can eat a good, hearty breakfast and then go to work. When you’re there, you can explain things to him. Tell the truth and hope he is as wonderful as he seems. For what it’s worth, I think he’s perfect for you.”
Tears swelled in my eyed. “It’s worth a lot, thanks.”
“No problem, honey,” she said, giving me a squeeze. “Now, let’s get some food in ya, yeah? You must be famished.”
My belly full of good food and my heart full of honest love, I followed Auntie Blair out to the pumpkin Bug, hoping it would be as easy as she made it sound. I wouldn’t blame Chad if he was still mad. My dad could have that effect on people. It probably wouldn't help that I’d left with him… at least initially. I was just so scared that Chad might get hurt. Dad was always armed and could get so unreasonable when he was angry, especially if he thought he was right and particularly if he wasn’t. I could feel cramps clamp inside as we got close to the garage.
“It’s okay, baby,” Auntie Blair said, stroking my back, “just be honest, and you’ll do fine, okay?”
“Okay,” I said, calming myself down.
“Now get in there and fight for your man and your baby.”
Full of new confidence and vigor, I gave my aunt a kiss on the cheek and got out of the great pumpkin, marching off to meet my destiny.
I merged into the assembled crew, none of whom knew what was going on with me and Chad. If I had my way, it would stay that way as long as possible. It was still somewhat embarrassing to be having a fling with my much older boss. Though it was much too late for that to do any good.
Taking my position at the back of the group, between Juan and Eric, my two new best friends, I prepared for the inevitable.
“You okay?” Eric asked.
“Um, yeah,” I said, only slightly lying, “why do you ask?”
I did my best not to be paranoid. There were so many very real things going on for me to worry about.
“You look different,” Juan added.
“I do?”
“Glowing,” Will observed, “my sister got the same look when she was expecting.”
So much for keeping things secret. I didn’t really know how much they’d figured out, but the guys were clearly catching on. I tried to come up with a believable explanation when the big black truck came roaring around the corner. Though it didn’t seem like it was coming to save me… at least not intentionally.
Chad was avoiding me. Never once even looking in my direction. Like I was dead to him. I’d planned on waiting until lunch or even the end of the day when I could get him alone. As time went on, the tension built too much, and I was afraid I might actually explode.
Hanging up my wrench on the board. The spark plug change was already done, and I headed up to Chad’s office, determined to at least try and have it out with him.
“Come in,” Chad called after I knocked, his voice muffled by the door.
With a deep breath, I went into the office, planning to say everything I had to say before he had a chance to throw me out.
“Look, I know things are bad, and you’re probably recalled angry at me right now, but you should know some things. First, I’m so sorry I left with my dad. I’m in no way proud of it, and I thought I was keeping you safe. It was a mistake, and I’m really sorry. I really hope we can try and start again because I love you. I love you so much it hurts, and I want to follow my heart. I’ve given up on any kind of money, including my trust fund. I’m a mechanic now, just like you. Working-class and honest.”
His eyes were as cold as a glacier, and I wasn’t sure if he’d actually heard a word I’d said. I knew all too well how anger could make one blind and deaf to all other perspectives. Chad surprised me a bit then by getting up and storming out of his office.
“Get back to work!” he bellowed as I followed him out.
“Hey, don’t you yell at her.”
We both looked to see the entire crew of trainees and pros coming toward us. The words of defiance had come from Juan, who proceeded to put himself between me and Chad, protecting me like a big brother. He was joined in front of me by Eric, the others coming up behind and beside us. Will put a protective hand on my shoulder.
“It’s okay, guys,” I said, not wanting to explain why Chad and I were in a fight, “I messed up bad and understand if Chad wants to fire me and never see me again.”
Well, that was a surprise. Despite his evident anger, Chad had apparently not considered either of these actions, looking both hurt and shocked.
“If you fire Nina, I quit,” Will announced, “she is the best thing that’s happened to the shop, and we are getting so much more work done.”
“Yeah,” chorused the rest of the crew.
I looked back to Chad, who seemed truly surprised to be facing an open mutiny. His expression softened considerably.
“Business is up since she started,” the boss admitted.
I couldn’t help but smile. My skills, which I always thought were pretty good, had been vindicated by my peers. Some of whom have been pros for years. I had finally found my place in the world. A place I could be the girl I was always meant to be. I just had to convince Chad to let me stay.
Chapter Twenty-Five - Chad
Things were really getting out of hand. I really hadn’t thought about how I was going to handle the Nina situation. Or how it might affect things at work. I’d noticed that she was getting along better with the crew, but I had no idea they’d built up that kind of bond. All of a sudden, I was in danger of losing my entire business. I had to re-establish dominance and put on my big boss hat — at least in the metaphorical.
“Okay,” I said, pretending I’d given it a lot of thought. A trick I’d picked up from a management book I’d read while preparing to open the shop, “if you stay and are looking for a raise, you can forget it. There just isn’t the money, no matter how good you are.”
“That’s cool. I don’t need more money. Or much at all, really. I live with my aunt for free. She might want me to buy my own food, but I can figure it out,” Nina said with
a shrug.
“There will be longer hours. We’ll still be short-staffed after the program is over. I always thought I’d hire some new employees from the trainee pool but only one or two. So it would be the four of you doing everything. It’s going to be a lot of work.”
“Great,” Nina beamed, “I like work. Love it, actually. The more, the better. Besides, I don’t have much else going on, being newly single and all.”
That one stung. It was also getting dangerous. I figured Will had already guessed the situation. Still, I didn’t want her hinting that something was going on between us, even if it wasn’t happening anymore. I didn’t want to lose any respect among the crew by them finding out I was banging a trainee. There was a lot more to it than that, but it was difficult to explain. The situation itself looked cliché as hell on paper.
I tried to keep things casual and not show any kind of reaction.
“Fine, get back to work. We have a lot to get done, thanks to the miracle worker here.”
That got a chuckle, which was a relief. I hated tension at the best of times. Never mind when I was still hurting from a shattered heart. It was a wonder the thing would even beat after everything that had happened to it.
I went back to my office, very much still in control, before basically deflating back into my chair. The crew weren’t the only ones with work to do, but I just didn’t seem up to it. I looked up at the monitor for the security camera, going against the full-throated screams of my better judgment.
It hurt just to see her — even in black and white — an actual, physical pain in the general area of my chest. My dad had died from a heart attack brought on by the betrayal of a woman. It seemed only fitting that I should go the same way.
That really wasn’t fair, though, just like most things in life. I watched Nina work, interacting with the rest of the crew, in her absolute element. I felt an emotion I thought long buried come back up: pure, extraordinary love. I had discovered I loved her a while ago. A feeling I’d thought died when she’d walked out of my house with her smug prick of a dad in tow. Turns out it was only sleeping, and it was time for the beast to awake.
