Description
Prince Drake knew that he had to look for food and water—anything that was going to keep his army alive. There was no way that he could give up. He knew that if he gave up, they were going die to as well, and that wasn’t part of who he was. It wasn’t why he was their leader. To come so far and give up would be devastating. They were running during the day, making sure that the enemy didn’t see them in the shade of the trees. Until they heard something in the sky… something that sounded like the end of the world! Was it crashing down them? Had he failed them? A loud boom sounded in the distance but yet, his army was still alive. He was still alive. When he was brave enough to go towards the noise, he didn’t realize just how lucky he was… or maybe how dead he was.
Chapter 1
It was hard for the Prince to keep his wits about himself. He knew that if they continued to go to war with the other species that they were fighting, there would be nothing left of the two armies. They were fighting for food and water; the Prince had to admit that his kingdom was dying off.
Without the food the women were dying left and right. Without the water there weren’t many soldiers that could withstand fighting.
If there was an attack right this very second, every one of them would die. Those were facts, and that’s all he had to go on.
Facts.
“Prince Drake we need to stop and rest,” said George, one of his soldiers.
They had gone a long time without food or water. They were trying to find what they needed and get back to the kingdom without being seen by the enemy—without being seen by the other species.
“We can’t stop, you know this,” Prince Drake replied to George, looking to his left. “If we don’t find food or water soon the women are going to die. Then our species will be dead, leaving no one to help populate.”
The sun glistened off of the heavy armor they were wearing. The blue skies were pretty, but when they were sweltering and searching for something to drink, the sun was not their friend. They were in dire need of shade but the woods barely had any to provide them, yet they had to stick to the trees so that they wouldn’t be seen in the open space.
“If we continue to move without something to drink, we’re never going to make it back,” the other soldier, Kendal, told him.
Prince Drake didn’t argue with them; he knew they were right. He had to do something.
He felt helpless.
If he couldn’t help his soldiers then how was he going to save his kingdom? What kind of Prince would he be?
He knew that if he just gave up then so would the soldiers he took with him. That was something the Prince did not want to happen.
If the Prince stopped pushing forward, he might as well just surrender his kingdom to the enemy—the ones who would quickly kill them all if they could see how weak everyone was.
“We will figure something out,” said Prince Drake, groaning as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. “Something good has to come our way.”
He knew that the easiest way to travel was by horse, but if he had taken the horses, they would all be dead by now. He couldn’t afford to let that happen.
The Prince thought about the women back at the kingdom and how weak they must be getting.
“You know that we can’t populate without the women,” said George.
“I know this, George. I know. They are too weak to carry the eggs. Without the proper food they cannot carry the eggs successfully… and we know what that means,” Prince Drake pushed down the words that he truly wanted to say. “It doesn’t have to be said.”
It wasn’t their fault that he was snippy, upset, and tired. The enemy had done this to them.
The last war ended with the enemy taking all of the water and food that Prince Drake’s crew had stored away. Like a thief in the middle of the night they had somehow gotten past the guards, the dogs, and the lasers.
When they woke up the next morning they realized that all of their water and food was gone. Prince Drake felt devastated. How could he not have prepared for something like that?
There wasn’t a fight, there wasn’t a war; they just came and took what they wanted and then left. He knew the rations were gone by now. Soon the enemy would be feeling what they were feeling. Hungry and thirsty.
Prince Drake wanted to laugh at his enemy and feel good about them soon being in the spot that his kingdom was in right now.
But he couldn’t imagine extinction, to know that their species was close to dying off. That wasn’t part of the plan when he had started the army.
Both sides were too stubborn to become one. Each clan thought that they were better than the other. Prince Drake was seeing things for what they truly were now.
If they didn’t come together, they were all going to die over pride. Over who had what and who didn’t, without focusing on what they actually needed.
“Selfish,” Prince Drake whispered under his breath.
“What?” George asked him.
Before Prince Drake could answer him, they heard something in the sky and Prince Drake thought they were under attack.
He urged his soldiers to run and hide. They weren’t going to be able to fight off an attack as weak as they were.
Prince Drake hid behind a large tree and saw that his men were on either side of him, ready to fight if they had to.
They were ready to protect the Prince even if it meant death, though they knew they were easy targets because they weren’t as strong as they had once been.
Undernourished, they stood behind the trees trying to blend in, but they knew that was impossible. There was no way to blend into the scene around them.
Prince Drake just hoped that they could get out alive. He didn’t know what the cause of the noise was, just that it was coming from the sky.
Chapter 2
Prince Drake was going to go down with a fight, no matter how weak he was. He wasn’t going to let the intruders just kill him. He had to fight and maybe by some miracle they would win.
The noise they had heard in the sky had stopped with a big BOOM—not too far away from where they were.
Prince Drake looked at his two soldiers and they nodded their heads. They knew they couldn’t stay in hiding because there was a good chance they’d be found.
Prince Drake came out of hiding; he had his sword ready. His soldiers did the same as they raced toward the loud noise they heard.
They were just feet away from it now and it wasn’t hard to miss.
Their eyes grew wide when they saw what it was.
It was a pod! They had no idea if an army was about to run out of it, but they were ready to give it all they had.
Prince Drake could see that the pod was badly damaged. It lo
oked like a pod from their enemy.
“Careful,” Prince Drake whispered to them.
It wasn’t likely that any of the clan had survived after falling out of the sky as hard as it had. Prince Drake wasn’t going to take any chances though.
As they sifted through the rummage of the pod, Prince Drake was comfortable enough to lower his sword.
The two soldiers kept theirs up until the Prince nodded his head. He couldn’t speak.
There was sweat rolling down his face. His mouth was dry, his lips even drier. He had difficulty swallowing because he wasn’t able to produce any saliva.
“I’ve found something,” George called out weakly.
Prince Drake and the other soldier had made their way to him, their swords still drawn.
“A live pod!” George pointed at it with the tip of his sword.
The Prince quickly went over and heard a moaning noise. He came upon a female human who was alive and in a state of shock.
Prince Drake figured she would come out of it soon enough and wasn’t too concerned about her. She must have been captured by the rival clan in hopes that she could give them food or water.
He didn’t know how the pod crashed here; he didn’t much care. He knew it would be too risky to have another person walk with them.
It was bad enough trying to take care of the three of them. They didn’t need a fourth. The Prince didn’t want to be responsible for her.
Prince Drake cuts the vines to free her. He looked at her but didn’t say a word… there wasn’t any point in wasting words with as dry as his mouth felt.
Prince Drake did have to admit that she was very beautiful. She was young, she was fresh. Her black hair was long but it was in a tangled mess.
He just had no use for her. It was hard enough trying to find water and food for him and his soldiers; he couldn’t afford to look for her as well.
“We’re going to have to leave her behind,” Prince Drake stated, clearing his throat and turning his back.
The soldiers gave her one more glance and turned their backs on her as well. To go against the Prince was unheard of and they weren’t about to do it now.
Prince Drake had gotten them out of a lot of rough spots. They knew better than to argue with him.
Even if they wanted to, they didn’t have the strength nor the energy. Whatever energy they did have left was to be saved for something important.
“Please! Please don’t leave me here!” She cried out to them, watching them as they were walking up the path.
If she didn’t say something now, she knew that they would disappear over the hill and she’d never see them again.
She would be lost out here, with no one to be there for her if something happened. She had no weapons. Nothing that she could fight an animal or an enemy off with.
“I can’t risk taking you with me,” Prince Drake told her as he turned around. “I’m sorry. It’s not worth fighting the other clan for. If they see you with us then the war is on.”
He wasn’t sure how he was even able to talk to her, but he had found the energy to explain to her that he wasn’t being mean. He just couldn’t have someone who wasn’t an asset to them. It would be a risk—and a very big one at that.
“Please, please let me go with you,” she begged, looking around and noticing that it was going to be dark soon.
“Why did they take you?” asked George. “Why were you in their pod to begin with?”
Even though they weren’t going to take her, he had to know what she was doing inside there. Why would they want a human… someone that could do absolutely nothing for their own clan?
George didn’t stop walking while he asked her the question. He wanted to keep up with the Prince and the other soldier in case there was trouble over the hill.
“They wanted to experiment on me,” she quickly told them. “They wanted me because I’m a virgin and they thought that I could carry their eggs if they were implanted in me by their soldiers. That’s what they were going to do with me. They wanted to use me a test subject. That is, until the pod fell and well, as you can see, they are all dead. Everyone but me.”
Biting down on her lip, she looked around her again. She wasn’t sure if she could gather firewood or how she was even going to start a fire to stay warm at night. She wasn’t equipped for this.
Chapter 3
Prince Drake, George, and Kendal continued walking. They weren’t interested in taking her with them. She had to say something—anything—to make them stop in their tracks.
“If you take me with you, we can try with your soldiers,” the woman quickly stated. “I will let them have me and see if the clan was right, that I can carry eggs. It seems like it would help you in the long run. If it works, then your soldiers can feed off me to get their nourishment. You know as well as I do that you don’t look healthy enough to carry on.”
She was right! Her proposition made them stop dead in their tracks. The boss of the three turned back around. She at least was getting somewhere. Maybe he would listen to her now.
Prince Drake didn’t deny the fact that she was right. They were very weak and unhealthy. She could now be an asset to them.
If the implant held, they would be able to feed for days. They could regain their strength and continue on. They would be able to repopulate what they had lost.
Prince Drake knew if it held, she could be the answer to keeping them alive. They wouldn’t have to worry about extinction. They wouldn’t have to worry about death for anyone. They could rebuild and he knew it wouldn’t take that long to do so.
The Prince looked her over. She was young, beautiful, and strong. She could keep the army nourished and ready for battle. He couldn’t deny her now.
She had done well proving her case that she would serve as an asset to them.
There was nothing to lose. If it didn’t work then all they would have done is wasted time. He was sure that it could work, though.
As young as she was, he knew that she was strong enough to carry. It was up to the soldiers to see if they were strong enough to put the eggs inside of her.
There was only one way to find out, only one true way… and he knew that it would take a lot of energy.
If it didn’t work then they were in the same spot that they’d been in, only a little worse.
The worst was going to be coming soon. There was nothing that he could do to stop that. Again, they had nothing to lose.
“Okay, we will try it.” He sighed, wiping the sweat from his face. “What’s your name, by the way?”
“Lizzy,” she said, smiling at him. She seemed relieved.
She looked at the soldiers. How handsome they were! She could tell by the way they were eying her so hungrily that they hadn’t had intercourse in a long time. Just knowing she was a virgin and willing to give herself up to them was exciting in and of itself. She wasn’t sure which one she wanted to take first.
“Both soldiers are going to have to have you together,” the Prince explained to her. “They are weak. I don’t think that just one is going to be able to put enough eggs in. Both of them together will be stronger. A better chance at succeeding.”
Lizzy shyly smiled at him, nodding her head.
A three-way. She couldn’t complain about that, now could she? She was so thirsty for them and already turned on.
She wasn’t going to be alone now! She could help them and they could help her. She couldn’t wait to feel them inside of her.
She couldn’t wait to know how they felt deep inside of her, wanting her and touching her. She couldn’t remember the last time she had been touched.
Prince Drake sighed and shook his head.
“What is the matter?” Lizzy asked, thinking that he had changed his mind.
“I’m just not sure it will work.” He grunted.
“You’re not going to know unless you try. That’s all we can do. If it doesn’t work, you can go on without m
e. I won’t have anything to offer you, as you say.” She put a hand on her hip and raised her eyebrows at him.
The soldiers looked at the Prince with surprise. No one had talked to him like that before.
George was ready to open his mouth until Prince Drake put a hand out to stop him.
“Yes, you’re right,” he stated. “We aren’t going to know until it’s all said and done. I will let you have my soldiers. The sooner the better.”
There was no way that he was going to watch the three get together. He wasn’t going to torture himself like that, not to mention the woman was a virgin. He was sure that she wanted some privacy the first time around.
“I will keep guard. You guys…” his voice trailed off as he waved them away from him.
The soldiers looked at her, smiles on their faces.
They were more than willing to show her a good time. Not just for their army, not just to save the species… but because they knew how good it felt to be inside a virgin.
She wasn’t their first virgin and they were sure that she wasn’t going to be their last.
“Are you sure that you want to do this?” Prince Drake asked her.
Even though she was standing there with a smile on her face and was eager to get to his soldiers, he had to be sure.
“Yes, I will do it for your kingdom,” she assured him softly. “I am willing to help you because you spared my life. You could’ve just left me here and eventually I would have died. But you freed me and I’m in your debt. I will do anything I can to help you.”
“Obviously George, you are happy with the idea of trying? Kendal?” The Prince looked at the two who were eying her.
“Yes sir. We are more than willing to help,” they said together and chuckled.
Chapter 4
Lizzy, George, and Kendal went deeper into the woods. One soldier was on either side of her and she smiled at the two of them. Eager to have them both.
