On the contrary, I was happier than I’d ever been in my life. There was so much up in the air, so much that I didn’t know, but I knew that as long as I had Andy in my life, everything would be perfect.

Andy lowered his lips to mine and kissed me passionately, catching my plump lower lip between his teeth and sucking gently. I moaned softly and arched my back, wrapping my legs around his waist. We were moving in a perfect, slow, heavenly rhythm that left me breathless. The pleasure was so intense that I could hardly stand it – my body was buzzing and tingling, like someone was running a current through me. His cock plunged in deeper, harder, faster, until Andy was moving like a piston on top of me. He groaned with pleasure, tightening his grip on my hands and nudging my face to the side so that he could breathe into my neck.

“Oh my god,” I moaned softly. I screwed my eyes shut and bit my lip, crying out as the floodgates opened inside of me and pleasure crashed over my head in wave after tsunami-sized wave. Andy’s cock was buried deep inside of me, his muscular body was rubbing against my clit, and I was having the most powerful orgasm of my life as he made love to me. It felt so good that I couldn’t breathe and I screamed with ecstasy as my orgasm took me over and held me hostage.

“Come for me, baby,” Andy whispered in my ear. He sucked and nibbled on my earlobe as my body shook and quavered. We clung to each other desperately, and I bit his shoulder as the sweetest orgasm I’d ever had began to fade. Andy groaned loudly, his cock pulsed and twitched inside of me. I felt his cock gush with his seed, filling me, nourishing me. The same seed that had made our baby.

“Oh my god,” Andy groaned. He buried his face in my neck and twitched as his orgasm took over, leaving him breathless and shaking.

As the sensations began to fade, I began to shake. Andy held me tightly in his arms. He slid out of me and pulled the sheet over our sweaty, naked bodies. My studio was fragrant with the smell of our lovemaking and I smiled peacefully, yawning.

“Tired, baby?” Andy asked softly. He brushed the sweaty tangles of my hair away from my face and looked deeply into his eyes. His face was etched with concern and love. Just seeing the look in his eyes made me feel so fulfilled, so perfect, that I almost didn’t know what to say.

I gave a brief shake of my head. “No,” I said softly. “I just love you so much,” I added. “I know I can’t stop saying it – I’m sorry.”

Andy smiled. He kissed me with a gentle, fluttering kiss that left me weak in the knees.

“I could never get tired of hearing you say that, baby,” Andy said. He ran a finger down my bare arm and shook his head. “I want to hear you say that for the rest of my life.”

I nodded slowly. I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. So much had happened in such a short time.

“I know that things will be okay, but I can’t help but feel a little nervous,” I confessed. “What are we going to do? How are we going to take care of a baby, just the two of us?”

Andy leaned down and kissed me gently. I tasted the sweat on his mouth and smiled, loving the salty sting it left in my mouth. The kiss grew deeper and I whimpered softly as I put both hands on the sides of Andy’s face and guided him closer.

“I’ve never been so happy to hear three words before,” I said when the kiss broke apart and Andy was looking down at me. He flopped next to me and draped an arm over my belly. It was one of the only times we’d actually cuddled in bed before, and I wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him close. After having to spend so much time apart, pretending that we had no feelings for each other, being close to Andy like this felt so amazing that I never wanted it to end.

“Can you say it again?” I asked, blushing a little. I felt silly asking for Andy to tell me what he’d already said, but I knew I could never get tired of hearing it.

Andy smiled. “I love you,” he said. He kissed me again, running his hand down my cheek and cupping my chin to bring my face closer to his.

We broke apart and I sighed happily. “I love you so much,” I replied. “I always will.”

“I’ve never met a woman like you, Sasha,” Andy said quietly. “And I’ve been smitten with you since the first moment I saw you.”

I blushed hotly and smiled so widely that my cheeks hurt.

“In church, when you walked in wearing that obscene little silk dress,” Andy said. He chuckled. “I can’t believe my cousin let you wear something like that to her wedding, much less picked it out for you.”

“Stop,” I teased. “You know she looked beautiful.”

“No one can hold a candle to you,” Andy said quietly. He leaned down and brushed his lips against mine. “I’ll never give you up,” he said throatily after breaking the kiss and looking into my eyes. “Not if I get fired from every job that I ever get.”

I laughed. “I love you, too,” I said. I leaned up and strained towards Andy’s mouth, kissing him again. We’d been kissing so much that my lips almost felt raw, but I loved it. I reveled in the sensation of Andy’s mouth pressing against mine, his tongue searching and seeking to play with mine.

Giggling, I pulled away as a funny thought popped into my head.

“What’s so funny?” Andy asked. His brow was furrowed and he stroked my cheek, staring down at me with his eyes wide.

  “It’s nothing,” I said, flushing. “It’s just, well, you’re a terrible one-night boyfriend.”

To my surprise, Andy laughed. “Yeah, well, it’s true – I’m not the kind of guy who does anything just for one night,” he replied.

  I smiled softly.

“But I’m an excellent forever husband,” Andy continued.

My eyes grew wide and I blinked at him.

Andy leaned down and gave me a slow, sultry kiss.

My heart, which had only recently calmed after a tremendous orgasm, began to thump again and I wrapped my arms around Andy’s neck, pulling him closer.

“I can’t believe it,” I whispered as Andy pulled back.

  He smiled. “What? Why?”

“Nothing,” I said, shaking my head and blushing. “It’s just ... well, so many people have such a hard time finding the love of their life. And you practically fell into my lap. I never have to worry about being alone, or being sad, not when I have you.”

Andy nodded. “No,” he said. “That’s true.” He cleared his throat and became suddenly emotional. “Sasha, I love you,” he said. “And I’m determined to make this work.” Giving me another soft kiss, he laid down next to me and rested his head next to mine.

As we snuggled and held each other, I knew that I had found the only man I would ever love. Perfect Andy – so uptight on the surface, so generous and loving and sexy underneath. We were the perfect pair, the couple who would always balance each other out, the couple who would raise their child to be loving and fair and strong and kind.

I knew that no matter what else happened in my life, I had finally found my perfect happily ever after.

  Epilogue

Sasha – Over one year later

As I bustled around in the kitchen, I had to stop and smile at Kayla-Anne. She was sitting in her carrier on the kitchen island, giggling and waving a wooden spoon around in her chubby little hand. Between her pale skin, flaming red hair, and saucy demeanor, she was clearly my daughter.

But her hazel eyes that made her look older than she really was made it clear that she was Andy’s baby girl, too. Just looking at her made my heart swell with love and happiness – sometimes, i couldn’t even believe that I had gotten so lucky. I grinned, pausing with my hands on a wet dish towel.

“Daddy’s going to be home soon,” I crooned. “And it’s Mommy and Daddy’s special night. So you’re going to be a good little girl, yes?”

She couldn’t talk yet, but Kayla-Anne giggled and laughed as if she understood. She whacked the wooden spoon against the counter and laughed riotously, as if she’d just discovered the funniest thing in the world.

The sound of the smoke alarm going off made me j
ump and I whirled around just in time to see the pot on the stove smoking and boiling over.

“Rats!” I cursed under my breath. Ever since Kayla-Anne had been born just six months before, I’d tried to make a habit of no longer cursing around my precious daughter. I wanted her to grow up with the best habits ... even if it meant saying silly things under my breath all the time.

Kayla-Anne giggled even louder, as if she’d had something to do with my culinary disaster. I scurried forward and kissed her on the nose, then armed myself with oven mitts and took the pot off the stove.

“Mommy’s going to call Auntie Darla,” I said in a sing-song voice. “She’ll know how to help.”

As soon as I set the still-smoking pot on a back burner, I grabbed my phone and braced it on the counter, opening Skype and dialing Darla’s number. It only took a few seconds for her to answer, and soon my best friend was beaming at me.

“Sash, no offense, but you look pretty rough,” she said, giggling.

I rolled my eyes. “Tell me about it,” I groaned. “I still haven’t lost the baby weight, and I—”

“No, not that,” Darla said, shaking her head. “Besides, you know Andy loves how curvy you are.” She stopped and wrinkled her nose. “God, I can’t believe I’m talking about my cousin in such a normal way, ew!”

“He’s my husband,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“I just meant you look kinda frazzled,” Darla said. She raised a sympathetic eyebrow. “What’s wrong?”

I groaned. “I can’t get the sauce to thicken,” I said, panning the phone around the kitchen so that Darla could see. “Can you help out?”

“Put it back on low heat and keep stirring continuously,” Darla said, all-serious as she peered at me over the rims of her glasses. “And don’t worry if it starts to rise up, just stir slowly until you can feel the sauce pulling at the spoon.”

“You’re so good at this,” I complained as I returned the pan to the stove. “I’d be a total disaster if it wasn’t for you.”

Darla giggled. “Well, I’ve had some practice, ...” She trailed off. “So, how’s the little one? I can’t wait to see her!”

I laughed. “She’s good,” I told her. “And she misses you, too.” I took the phone over to Kayla-Anne. “See, your Aunt Darla missed you,” I crooned. “When are you coming to visit?” I asked Darla, this time in a normal voice. “I need some serious girl time.”

“Whenever I can get the time off work,” Darla said.

“Well, I’m seriously missing adult interaction,” I said. “Even though I have my stylist consultant business on the side, I feel like I’m way more conversant about Peppa Pig than I am about fashion.”

Darla laughed. “Andy loves you being at home, though.”

I paused, as I thought about all of the changes that had taken place over the last year. So much had happened – Andy and I had gotten married, gone on a brief honeymoon, and even bought a house. I’d had Kayla-Anne and become a stay-at-home-mom ... which I loved most of the time, even if I did have a strange penchant for picking up on kids’ television shows because of my daughter.

  “I know,” I said.

“Happy anniversary, by the way,” Darla said. She wrinkled her nose. “Although I do not want to think about the two of you having sex later.”

“Shhh, the baby!” I teased. “I don’t want her picking up on that.”

Darla panned her phone back and I saw her resting her hand on her protruding belly. As happy as I was to be a mother, knowing that my best friend was going to have her first baby made me even happier – I was already dreaming about Kayla-Anne growing up to be best friends with Darla’s future child.

“She’ll be fine,” Darla said. “So, did Andy get you anything for your anniversary?”

“I told him not to,” I said, as I glanced down at my finger where a large, three-carat diamond sparkled on my left ring finger. “He just gave me this ring.” When Andy and I had first gotten married, I’d refused to let him buy me something real. He was still between jobs, and the last thing I’d wanted was for him to be spending money on something so frivolous. Predictably, Andy had gotten me an expensive ring, anyway – and I wouldn’t have admitted it to anyone other than Darla, but just looking at it still filled me with joy and happiness. “You’re too special to just wear a plain wedding band,” Andy had said when he’d given me the ring, kissing me on the cheek and sliding it onto my finger. “You have to stand out because you’re so fabulous.”

I can’t believe I’m married to someone so wonderful and considerate, I thought as I watched the diamond sparkle under the kitchen lights. He always knows just what I want and he always gives it to me.

“He’s probably going to get you something, anyway,” Darla replied, breaking my train of thought. “That’s my cousin.”

The pot on the stove was finally beginning to thicken in the way that it should, and I stirred constantly. Just as I’d dumped in the grated Parmesan cheese, I heard the front door open and close.

“That’s Andy!” I hissed at my phone. “I gotta go!”

Darla laughed. “Have fun,” she said. “Love you.”

“Love you, too,” I told her as I hung up and slid my phone in my pocket.

Seconds later, Andy walked into the kitchen with a grin on his face and bouquet of sunflowers in his hands.

“Hey, beautiful,” he said. He leaned in and gave me a tender kiss. Arousal flared in my lower belly and I moaned as Andy pulled me closer. Ever since I’d given birth to Kayla-Anne, I’d been hornier than ever ... and I couldn’t wait to surprise Andy with my flimsy new lingerie later.

Andy pulled away. “Something smells amazing,” he said as he reached for Kayla-Anne. He pulled her out of her carrier and bounced her around in the air, making her giggle.

“It’s almost ready,” I told him. “You can have a seat if you want.”

Andy grinned. He kissed Kayla-Anne on the head, then set her back down in her carrier and sat down at the kitchen table that I’d set for two.

“Get ready to enjoy this feast,” I told him. I took the Alfredo sauce off the stove and poured it over the pasta, then put on oven mitts and retrieved the roast from the oven.

I carried the dishes over to the table where we sat together. Andy took my hand in his and lifted it to his mouth, kissing my palm and gently nuzzling my fingers. Another swell of lust rose in me and I squirmed in my chair, already anticipating how my husband would make love to me after dinner.

  “Dinner looks divine,” Andy said.

I blushed and grinned. “I ... may have had a little help,” I admitted.

“Nonsense,” Andy said. He shook his head. “You’re a domestic goddess, Sasha.”

I laughed. “Trust me, I’m very human,” I said.

Andy took a bite and groaned. “This is amazing,” he said.

I smiled, pleased that he enjoyed my efforts. “So, how was your day?”

Andy set his fork down and chuckled. His hazel eyes sparkled and I smiled, loving how my perfectly professional husband could look so boyish when he was happy about something.

“What?” I teased. “That good, huh?”

Andy nodded. “I took, shall we say, extreme pleasure in giving Mr. Zach Moody a severe dressing down today. He wildly overspent – like, used the entire year’s budget in just three months.”

  I laughed. “No kidding.”

Andy nodded. “Oh, yeah,” he said. “Trust me, ever since I became the Operations Manager, he’s hated me even more.” His chest puffed out and I felt a swell of pride rise in my chest. “But tough shit. He’s gotta deal with me as his boss now, no matter what ... until he gets fired, at least.”

I grinned. I knew Andy was enjoying having the upper hand over his rival, Zach.

Not that Andy didn’t deserve it.

“I’m just protecting the company’s interests,” Andy said innocently. There was a wicked gleam in his hazel eyes that made my arousal come back tenfold, and I shifted in my
chair as I marveled at how things had changed over a year.

After Amanda had confronted us at the movie theater, things had moved forward at a rapid pace. It turned out that Andy’s phone calls to the board of directors had a huge impact. The board had met with Amanda and it hadn’t taken them long to realize just how far off the deep end she had truly fallen. They suggested at first that she would take a leave of absence with the suggestion that they’d re-evaluate her in the future.

Then, of course, they’d turned around and given the job to Andy. His performance at the Vegas conference had made him a rock-star around the office, and his good numbers made him the perfect candidate. Of course, Andy had said that he’d never forget the look on Zach’s face when Zach had realized just how badly he’d fucked himself over.

Now, I was a stay-at-home-mom ... but I was working on a stylist consultancy business on the side, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Someday, I was hoping to turn my side hustle into a real business, but until then I loved being at home with Kayla-Anne on Andy’s comfortable salary.

“This is amazing, baby,” Andy said as he tucked into the pasta, bringing me back to the present.

“I’m glad,” I said softly. We ate in comfortable silence, holding hands. When we were finished, Andy put Kayla-Anne down for the night while I did the dishes.

Finally, the house was quiet and I felt that I could be alone with my husband. Just before slipping into the bathroom to change into my sexy little surprise for Andy, he put his hands on my waist and kissed me.

“I can’t wait to kiss you all over,” Andy growled, sending a bolt of lust through my pussy.

I grinned. “I’ve been thinking about it all day,” I admitted.

  “Happy anniversary, baby,” Andy said.

When he kissed me again, I knew it was forever.
