I smile lovingly down at him and nod my head, too overcome with emotions to speak. This is everything I wanted; Brandon at my side as we pledge ourselves to each other in front of our family. The people who matter most to me are in this room, and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.
Brandon’s face lights up at my nod, his relief and elation evident as he gently slides the ring onto my finger before standing and bowing over my hand, reverently kissing the back of it. I laugh as he straightens and sweeps me up in his arms, spinning me around to the sound of cheers and claps.
