Jasper (Cloves County Cowboys Book 2) Page 16

by Amelia Shea

“Keep teasing me, we won’t make it to the bed, darlin’.” His lips trailed from her mouth down to her neck. Her head curved into his shoulder, and she moaned. He was finding the more he explored, the sweeter spots he found. Her ass rocked against his erection.

“We don’t need a bed, Jasper,” she whispered.

The invitation was clear. Nothing with Kellie was what he expected.

He licked circles under her ear, a spot which drove her wild, he was finding out. She circled her hips, making him harder than he’d ever been. His cock was stretching at the seam, begging for release.

He unstrapped his belt and tugged hard at the snap. His zipper came down, and he shucked his jeans and underwear in one swoop to his ankles. His hands glided up her thighs to her waist. He hooked his fingers in the waistband of her panties.

“I’m not really fond of these panties. I wouldn’t miss them if they got…” she paused, “ruined.”

Jasper curled his face into her hair and chuckled. He loved her directness. He dug his finger into the sheer material and ripped them apart in one swipe. She gasped and leaned back into him. His girl liked her clothes ripped off. He’d make a mental note. His cock hitched. He needed to be inside her.

His hand slid around her waist to her hip and up her shirt, gripping her firm breast. He had to multitask and leaned back, reaching into his jacket for his wallet. He fingered the leather opening as he pulled out the condom, all the while kneading her breast and getting harder than he thought possible. Her soft moans grew louder as he ripped the foil with his teeth.

Putting on the condom would require two hands, and he begrudgingly released her breast, to her obvious disappointment. She moaned in protest. He sheathed his cock and lined up against her core. His finger slid against her slit to find her wet.

Her back arched, he gripped her hips and entered her slowly. The view alone was enough to make him come. She was half bent in front of him, leaning over the dryer with her legs spread. He pulled out, watching his cock, and drove back into her, feeling the warmth of her pussy.

Jasper closed his eyes, completely lost in the sensation of being deep inside her core. He groaned when she swiveled her hips, taking the lead. Her soft, heavy breaths were ringing in his ears. He gripped her hips, unable to control the tempo, and drove deeper inside her with quick jerks of his hips.

“You feel so good,” she moaned. His hands slid around to her belly and up her chest, flipping up the cups of her bra and covering her breasts in his hands. She leaned back into a standing position, her body completely flush against his chest. He squeezed her breasts, tweaking her nipples.

Her head fell into the curve of his neck, and he immediately searched for her lips. His need to kiss her was almost as great as his desire to come. His mouth found hers, but he didn’t linger against her lips. He drove his tongue inside her mouth, tasting every inch of her, swirling against hers. Her teeth grazed his tongue, sending a shiver over his body, and he pumped deep inside her.

He had about six inches on Kellie, and his head was angled down into an awkward position. Her hand curled around his neck, driving into his hair with a sharp pull. Sex with her had no rules, had no male-dominating stereotype. It was all about what felt good. At this moment, he was sure he’d never felt this amazing in his life. He slid his cock out of her pussy, lingering just the tip at her entrance and slammed back inside, driving her body forward.

“Ah.” The breathy moan clicked something inside him, and he pounded inside her again, taking long pulls and quick jerks into her pussy. His hands clasped tight against her nipples, pinching them and getting the reaction he wanted. Her hips swayed back against his cock, and he was done.

He drove deep and fast. Her body tensed and the walls of her pussy clenched as she moaned again. “Right there.” He kept his pace, riding her hard. He felt her orgasm, which seemed to trigger his own as his body tensed, and he slammed deep into her core and jolted forward, coming hard. He felt it over every inch of his body.

She fell forward, resting against the dryer. Jasper glided his hands over her moist skin, trailing up to her shoulders and pressing his chest against her back. Their breaths were not in sync, making the panting echo in the small room.

He nuzzled his face in her hair. It was soft against his nose and cheek, the scent enough to get him hard again. He chuckled at the thought. Maybe in an hour.

  “What’s so funny?”

“I’ll never look at cleaning my drawers the same way.”

She burst out laughing, causing him to slowly release from her core. He backed up and pulled her hips, turning her around. He gripped her jaw and kissed her and then rested his forehead against hers.

  “We’re a mess.”

A sly smiled emerged. “Shower time.”

He kissed her again. “I’ll say it again. You’re gonna be the death of me, woman.”

“But what a way to go, Jasper.”

  Yes, it was.

She woke up alone in his bed. Her hand skimmed and reached for his pillow. Where did he go? She lingered a bit longer before getting up. She had been exhausted last night when they went to bed and opted to wash up rather than shower. Big mistake. She kicked off the sheets and made her way into the bathroom.

Kellie finished up her shower fairly quickly and got dressed before heading downstairs. Her hair was still damp, and she hadn’t bothered with any makeup.

She hit the last step and heard voices from the kitchen. She assumed the feminine voice was Britt. She smiled as she walked into the room. Oh shit. There was definitely a female, but it wasn’t Britt. Nervously, Kellie tugged at the hem of her tee. It was tiny, like most of her clothes, and showed a good amount of stomach. Matched up with her skintight leggings, this was not exactly the look she was hoping for when she ran into his mom.

Mrs. Fords looked up from the table and smiled. “Hi, Kellie.”

“H—hi.” She swallowed the knot in her throat, cursing her ability to say a one-syllable word without stuttering. She was an epic fail at this first impression.

Jasper pushed off from the counter, walking toward her. “My mom just stopped in to double check the guest list for the fundraiser.” The corner of his mouth curled. She assumed he was trying to ease her obvious nerves. It wasn’t helping.

“Oh, that’s great.” Her over-excitement was evident in her tone, and her face heated.

Jasper hooked his arm over her shoulder, and her body tensed. What the hell was he doing? His mother was watching them closely. Kellie searched her face for disapproval, but she saw nothing but curiosity.

“It just occurred to me that I assumed you’d come, never got around to asking you though. You think Garr will give you the day? It’s four weeks from Saturday.”

Kellie could feel the shock run over her face. She could imagine what they were seeing. “Oh, umm…I didn’t…” The heat on her face was burning. Speak! Use your words, idiot.

Jasper hugged her into his side, and his fingers circled her shoulder. It was probably meant to be soothing, but in front of his mom, it only made her anxious. Kellie smiled, and her cheek twitched. This was so awkward; she was never this nervous.

“I hope you’ll be able to come, Kellie. It’s always such a beautiful day and a lot of fun.”

  She sounded so sincere.

“I’d love to.” She swallowed a breath and glanced up at Jasper. “I’m sure I can swap out a shift with one of the other girls.”

Jasper’s lips spread into a grin.

Kellie jerked her head to Mrs. Fords, who was watching them intently. “I’ll make a donation, too.”

Jasper’s mother’s eyes widened. “Oh sweetheart, that’s not necessary. It’s a fundraiser, but it’s also a party. A chance for our workers, friends, and family to have a relaxing fun day. Your presence is the only request we have.” Again, so sincere.

  “I’d like to though.”

She pursed her lips and chuckled. “Well, if you’re insis
ting then who am I to turn down money for the cause? It would be very appreciated. Thank you, Kellie.”

  “You’re welcome.”

Mrs. Fords stared a bit longer before waving goodbye and heading out the door.

“I wish I would have known she was down here.” She narrowed her eyes at him. “Look at me.”

  “You look sexy.”

She huffed, ignoring his compliment. “Sexy was not how I wanted to meet your mom.”

“What about beautiful, ’cause that’s how you’re looking, too.” Jasper walked to the counter and grabbed his mug. “And generous. Didn’t have to offer a donation. If I had to guess, my mom likes you, so stop worrying.”

“So, how much do people usually give anyway?”

Jasper chuckled. “The minimum is two fifty.”

She jerked her head and gazed up in horror. Jasper tugged her closer. “I’m kidding, relax. You give what you can.” He kissed her head, and she curled her arms around his waist, resting her face against his chest.

“I’ll put you down for a plus one.”

Kellie pulled out of his arms. “What?”

  “You can invite a guest.”

  “Oh.” Well, this sucked.

  “What’s wrong?”

Maybe she was reading into them together for more than it actually was. She sighed and walked to the sink.

“Hey.” He clasped her hand, and she faced him. His eyebrows cocked in concern. “What just happened? You went from happy to sad in ten seconds. Talk to me.”

She shrugged. Honesty was the only way to go. If this was really happening between them, then he should know. “I just thought I was invited as…” She clamped her lips.

He tilted his head, obviously confused. “As?”

  “Your date.”

  “You are.”

“Then why give me a plus one?”

Jasper wrapped his hands around her waist. “’Cause I’ll be doing a lot of running around, talking to everybody. I want you with me, Kellie, but trust me, you’ll be bored outta your mind after about thirty minutes of listening to some of these people. I just figured if you had a friend it’d make the day more enjoyable.” He smirked. “I want ya with me for as long as you can handle listening to ranch talk, but I want you to have an out, too.”

Kellie stared up at him. She wasn’t used to this, men putting her before themselves and thinking of her in a way she hadn’t.

“So, you don’t want me to bring a date?”

“Hell, no, I’m your date. Bring a friend.” He rested his forehead against hers. “A female friend.”

“Well, Britt will already be there, so she’s out. How about Cara?”

“Whoever you want. Just get me her address, and I’ll send an invitation.”

This was real. What was happening between them wasn’t just a fling; he was feeling it, too. There was a small part of her that was waiting, though. Things were too good, too perfect. Jasper may not know it, but he had the possibility to not only break her heart but ruin her forever.

  Chapter Twelve

  “Oh, I know that smile.”

Kellie placed the pitcher of beer on her tray and glanced at Lena, another waitress. She was staring at Kellie with a humorous glint in her eyes.

  “What smile?”

Lena snorted. “Girl, you are so damn in love, you don’t even know you been smiling since Jasper walked in this place.”

It was true. Jasper and the rest of the guys had come in an hour ago, completely making her shift at the bar bearable. They had plans for tonight. This wasn’t the first time he came in and waited to take her home or back to his place. In fact, in the last three weeks, there weren’t many times they didn’t spend the night together.

“We’re just having fun, Lena.” It was a little white lie. She played it off to others but the truth was, she was falling in love with him. She had never felt for any man the way she felt for Jasper.

“Sure, girl, whatever you say.” Lena bumped her hips into Kellie, making her giggle. Kellie finished arranging the drinks on her tray when a hand slammed down on the bar. She jumped back and jerked her head to the side. Cara was standing so close she wasn’t sure how she had missed her coming up to stand next to her. Cara’s brows were furrowed in a deep scowl.

“Jeez, Cara, you nearly scared me to death.” Kellie leaned closer. “What’s the matter?”

Cara jerked her head to the bar and pulled her hand away. Lying on the bar was a beautifully designed notecard, identical to the one Kellie had received in the mail two days ago.

“What the hell is this?” Cara barked.

  “Looks like an invitation.”

Cara snorted. “I know that. Why the hell did it show up at my house addressed to me?”

Kellie bit back a smile. Why was she so damn furious? “Probably because that’s what happens when you get invited somewhere.”

“Don’t be cute! Did you know about this?”

“Of course, you’re my plus one.”

  “Your what?”

“My plus one.” She shifted into the stool. “Jasper said I should invite a friend since he’ll be off doing a bunch of schmoozing at the party. It’ll be fun. A day at the ranch, tons of food, music, it’ll be great.”

“I’m not going there,” she spewed, as though she was referencing a mud wrestling tournament.

  “Why not?”

Cara didn’t answer and stared back at Kellie. There was something behind Cara’s stare, fear maybe? She was about to ask but was interrupted.

“Hey Kell, let’s go! Bring your sweet ass over here with our drinks.” The deep slurred voice rang through the bar, cutting into her thoughts. She looked over her shoulder at John Fisker. He had been a mistake. A few dates and he’d shown his true colors. She loaded up her tray and turned to Cara.

  “Fun times.”

“That guy is a douche. Can’t believe you went out with him.”

Kellie sighed and lifted the tray. “Not one of my better decisions.”

She could feel Jasper’s eyes on her. She had been able to slip away from her customers and sneak a few kisses and light conversation with the group earlier. In the past hour, the bar had become packed and a bit rowdier with the drinking. Especially at John’s table.

She sauntered over with a pasted smile. Dealing with drunks was nothing new, but John was being especially handsy tonight. She made a point of standing at the opposite end of the table from him.

“Sorry guys.” She smiled and unloaded her tray.

“Have a drink with us, Kell, we can reminisce about old times.”

The table of three snickered, and Kellie sighed. There was no doubt in her mind that John had filled them in on their time together. It hadn’t taken Kellie long to figure out he wasn’t as sweet as he seemed the first time they went out. It only lasted a few weeks before she started dodging his calls. He got the message. It had been over two years since they’d dated, but when he was drunk, that thought seemed to escape him.

“Sorry, I’m working.” She grabbed her tray and maneuvered around the table. “Holler if you need anything.” She was a foot away when John reached out, wrapping his arm around her waist. She was completely caught off guard and fell into his lap.

He tightened his grip on her and shoved his hips into her ass. “Oh, I need something.”

It all happened so fast; it was like a blur. While she struggled to pry his hands from her stomach, Garr stomped toward them with a look of rage on his face and a baseball bat in hand. John was smart enough to loosen his grip, and Kellie jumped off him and turned around. No one touched her without permission. She stepped forward ready to tell him that when John was pulled back in his chair by the collar of his shirt.

Kellie gasped when Jasper grabbed him by the neck and practically lifted him off the ground. “You don’t ever touch her!” His tone came out like a feral snarl. The veins in his neck bulged, and his face was shaded red in rage. Grey and Travis stood directly behind Jasper but made no e
ffort to stop him.

“No fighting in here, Jasper!” Garr growled from behind her.

Jasper tossed John, and he stumbled to the ground. People scattered from the immediate area. She expected John to cower or at least slither away, but instead, he started to laugh. He got to his knees and then to a shaky standing position.

“Well, I guess the rumors are true, huh, Fords?” He glanced at Kellie, his lips curled. “Fucking Kellie? Good choice, man, never did have my dick sucked by anyone better.”

Kellie felt a cold chill over her skin and her stomach churn. This wasn’t the first time a crude and disgusting comment had been directed her way. While most people preferred to talk about her behind her back, there were some who had no issue with verbally attacking her in public. She’d been dealing with men like John for years. She knew exactly how to handle it. Humiliation was a hard swallow but only if she let it get deep inside her. She would shut this down before the situation got any crazier. She took a breath and stepped forward. She opened her mouth but was pulled back by Garr’s hand when Jasper charged forward, knocking John down again.

  “Take it outside!” Garr shouted.

Jasper glanced over at her, rage in his eyes. He grabbed John by the front of his shirt and dragged him outside with the guys following close behind. A few others followed, and Kellie tugged her arm from Garr. He held onto her, not letting her go.

“Aren’t you going to stop this?”

He narrowed his eyes. “As long as they don’t fight inside, I’m not stopping anything.” He tightened his grip on her arm. “Let Jasper handle it.”

Kellie pulled harder and freed her arm. “What are you talking about? I’m not going to let Jasper fight him. Not for me.”

“Don’t think you have much of a choice. Jasper will hand the asshole what he deserves.”

  No, no, no!

Kellie turned and rushed to the door, pushing past the small crowd in the parking lot. She froze at the sight of what she saw. John swung at Jasper, and he dodged it, only to come back and swing and land his fist on John’s chin, sending his head flying back. Jasper edged forward, gripping his shirt while he was down and punching him again.
