“You’re happy to see me, aren’t you?” He teased. “I’m really happy to see you, too.”

I would have retorted, but he took one of my hands and brought it to his crotch. I gasped, feeling him hard beneath my hand. Instinctively, I wrapped my fingers around him through his slacks and squeezed lightly. He groaned.

“If you do that, I’ll come,” he growled. “Too fast.”

I was surprised as he pulled my hand off him. I didn’t think he’d be that sensitive, but I quickly forgot myself as he went back to kissing me. His hands tugged at my clothes, and I took that as my cue to do the same for him, one hand pushing his shirt up, so I could get at his abs, my other hand working on his belt. Ben lowered me onto the couch, then positioned his body above mine.

Our clothes quickly came off, but the action wasn’t hurried. We stripped slowly in between languid kisses, bodies rubbing against each other with growing urgency that neither of us gave into.

“I don’t think I can make it to the bed,” he groaned, as the last article of clothing hit the floor.

  I gasped. “It doesn’t matter.”

My legs wrapped around his hips, and he folded his legs, so his knees rested on either side of my hips. His cock was heavy and hard against me, and I moaned as I squirmed beneath him, which caused Ben to curse.

  “Stay still,” he commanded.

I whimpered in dissatisfaction, but did as he wanted, my whole body going stiff. It had been so long since I last had him in me. As he left wet kisses along my neck, he rocked his hips, the head of his cock rubbing all over my sex, making me gasp and squirm.

  “Don’t tease,” I complained.

Ben showed me a wolfish grin, then I felt the head of him touch my entrance before he pushed his hips forward, and his whole length slid into my body, stretching my walls open for him. I arched my back and raised my hips, taking him in as deep inside me as he could go. Ben grabbed one of my hands, twining our fingers together, and held it down above my head. Our gazes held.

“Are you ready?” He asked, voice soft, though with a hint of strain.

I nodded, my breath hitching as my walls fluttered around the hard, hot length inside of me.

  “Yes.”

He gave me a quick peck; then he started moving slowly. My cheeks were on fire, because it felt way too intimate, his eyes boring into mine as he slowly took my body and made it his. I didn’t move my gaze from his; I couldn’t. My chest felt stuffy, my breaths already coming out in gasps and pants.

I grew impatient quickly, though. His cock sliding slowly in and out of me felt like heaven, the friction against my walls and entrance sent tingles through my body, causing me to tremble, but I wanted more. I wanted him to claim me.

“You can go faster,” I gasped. “Please, Ben.”

He hummed to indicate he heard me, but his deep, slow rhythm didn’t change. He rolled his hips, and I gasped and trembled some more as he stimulated my walls. He was braced above me on his elbow, and I could see his face clearly, even though my eyelids insisted on fluttering shut with the soft pleasure slowly overwhelming my body.

His jaw was clenched, expression strained. A drop of sweat travelled down his temple and dripped onto my chest. I watched in fascination, my arms wrapping around him. His back was slick with sweat, but I dug my fingers in anyway and held on.

It took a while for me to realize what he was trying to do, or at least guess. This wasn’t just fucking; Ben was making love to me.

When the thought occurred to me, I felt my ears sting with tears. Ben, noticing, suddenly stopped, expression going alarmed.

“Am I hurting you?” He asked, frantic.

I shook my head quickly as I swallowed the lump in my throat. Words I hadn't thought to say to a man in a long time were dying to rise out of my throat, but I shoved them back down. It was the worst kind of thing to say in the middle of sex, at least for the first time, and there was still plenty left unsaid between us.

So instead, I squeezed the hand that still held mine, and wrapped my other arm around his neck. I nudged gently, and he leaned down for a kiss. Slowly, he started moving his hips again. The change in angle brought him even deeper, and I whimpered against his mouth. Ben groaned, and finally, started moving faster.

The kiss grew sloppy as the pleasure washed over both of us, our bodies moving against each other with growing urgency. I locked my ankles behind his back, flexing my thighs around him as I did my best to move my hips and meet his thrusts.

I could feel the orgasm building from between my thighs, starting from a small spark that quickly spread all over me, then my body shuddered, my walls tightening around his cock convulsively. I heard a rumble of satisfaction from his chest jest before Ben nipped at my lips. I felt his body go taut above mine; then his hot come shot inside of me, filling me up.

He slumped against me, and for the longest moment, we could only lay there and breathe. When he did think to move, it was to roll us over, keeping his cock inside me as he held me in his arms.

“I missed you, Angela,” he said again, his tone serious.

I nodded as I nuzzled into his chest. “I missed you, too, Ben.”

The words were said in place of what I wanted to say to him, at least for me. I could only hope that he felt the same way.

  Chapter Twenty-Five

  Ben

I wanted to get back to New York as soon as possible. I made arrangements for Angela’s car, then drove us to the airport in the rental. We had to wait a bit before we got on the plane, so we found a café in the airport and had breakfast. Angela didn’t seem to have much of an appetite, though.

Then, just as we were settling down in the plane, Angela suddenly clutched a hand to her mouth and ran for the bathroom. I wanted to go after her, but she waved a hand at me when she saw me move to stand, so I could only wait anxiously for her to return. She was back five minutes later and took her seat as though nothing had happened.

“Angela are you okay?” I asked. “Are you not good with planes? Do you get motion sickness?”

She waved away my concern with a tight smile. “It’s nothing like that. The plane hasn’t even started moving yet, so how could it be that? It’s nothing, maybe something I ate yesterday.”

I thought her expression was strange, but she didn’t want to talk about it, so I reluctantly let it go.

“Would you like some water? I can ask for some for you.”

“I don’t want to bother the staff,” she refused immediately.

I rolled my eyes. “You’re not bothering them; they’re just doing their jobs. Plus, this is first class, there’s nothing wrong with asking.”

Her expression grew thoughtful. “I’ve never flown first class before.”

“I’ll go get you some water.”

Against her protests, I left my seat and returned with bottled water that I handed over to her. She looked grateful as she drank in small sips, and I settled down. She was sick a couple more times through the flight before we landed back in New York.

Since we left early, it was still afternoon when we arrived.

  “Have you calmed down?”

“I told you it was nothing already,” she said with a laugh. “I feel much better. Now, come on. I want to drop by the school, I’ve been gone for so long I’m sure they’re starting to wonder if anything happened to me.”

“How about you put off the school trip, first? Let’s eat then go.”

She arched an eyebrow at me. “Didn’t you eat on the plane?”

“Sure, I did. But you didn’t. Come on; it’s only a quick stop.”

After some convincing, we went to eat. I just wanted to delay it, because I knew we wouldn’t be going into the school together. I didn’t know what to do about Sandra, and until then, I didn’t want to take any risks with Angela’s job.

Somehow, I had to find a way to make sure she wouldn’t tell anyone or post it online. Rumors would spread all over the school, and even if Angela didn't get fired, she wo
uldn’t have an easy time at the school, either. The students wouldn’t mind targeting a professor, especially if they thought she took advantage of a student and got caught. No one would care for explanations of whether it was mutual or who was the one chasing who.

I was in an even bigger hurry to graduate, now, but it would still take several months.

We collected my car from the airport’s long-term parking lot. I drove her to a place not too far from school, but not so close, either. A bunch of college students wouldn’t bother coming this far out, and since it was way past lunch, the place didn’t have that many people, to begin with.

“I’ll need to go to the school to talk to the dean,” Angela said. “I gave him a lie when I left, that an aunt was sick and I was staying with her. I guess I have to go and apologize for being late first thing, especially since I left on such short notice.”

“The substitute has been teaching your class for weeks now,” I pointed out. “Why not take some more time off, say a week or two, before you decide to go back?”

She shook her head. “I’ve already been out for more than a month. I’d tentatively promised to be back by the end of spring break, and it ended already, right?”

I was unhappy about the decision, but I wasn’t about to start dictating her life. After not seeing her for so long, I wanted to have some time for just us for a while, but it wasn't fair to her. She would insist I go to classes even if I thought of skipping, anyway.

“Do you still have that spare key to my place?” She asked quietly.

I stiffened, before slowly nodding yes. How could I not have it? I’d already added it to my keychain and walked around with it everywhere because I was afraid to lose it. I had it in my pocket.

She smiled. “No need to look so worried. I need to worry about work, but if you don’t have anywhere else to be for today, how about you go back to my place and wait there for me? This shouldn’t take too long.”

“Can I at least drop you off close to the school?”

She hesitated, but not for long.

“Sure. If anyone notices and wonders why we’re together…”

I held my breath, waiting to hear what she would say. While I was young, I wasn’t so naïve as to think there was nothing wrong with Angela and I being seen together, since we were together. I knew it would be a nightmare for both of us, though. I’d had fantasies of telling my friends exactly who I dating so they would get off my back, but I knew better than to say anything to any of them.

“It’s none of their business,” Angela finished her grin widening.

I stared in surprise. “Is that okay?”

She shrugged. “Why don’t we find out?”

I drove her back to the school, but now that I was serious about Angela, I played more cautious than before. I headed over to her apartment and unlocked the door. I was grinning because this time, she knew I was letting myself into her home. She’d asked me to.

Angela was back a lot sooner than I’d thought, in less than half an hour. She had on this strange smile, as she walked over to where I was sat on her couch, sank down beside me, and announced:

  “I’ve just been fired.”

  I gaped. “Wait, what?”

She laughed, looking happier than I would have thought about losing her job.

“Is this a bad thing or is it not?” I asked, feeling confused. “And why were you fired, because your vacation was kinda long?”

“No. I think Sandra outed me, and it is part of the school rules. So, I am currently unemployed.”

“Angela, isn’t your job a big deal?”

She shook her head and leaned against me. I was still perplexed, but I wrapped my arms around her and held her close. She broke into a few more giggles before she explained.

“To be honest with you, Ben, I hate being a professor. So, when I was standing there, and the dean was telling me how my contract would be terminated, I wasn’t sad at all. Besides, I didn’t come back for the job.”

Confusion quickly turned to delight as I pressed a kiss on her forehead.

“I’m just happy to have you back.”

Everything else, we could deal with it as it came.

  Chapter Twenty-Six

  Angela

Since I’d just lost my job, I had a lot of free time, and because Ben decided to take some time off before the wedding, we spent the time together. He should have been going to classes, but I figured since I was no longer his professor, and I would be too bored by myself, I wouldn’t nag him so much to go back to class.

Two days later, and it was the day of the wedding. It was a small affair, and I’d somehow been roped into being a bridesmaid, even though it was last minute. Ben would be suffering with me, anyway, since he was sent to join Dad’s side.

Both our parents put together didn’t know that many people, and we happened to be among the youngest of the group, so we got stuck together. I was just glad I’d be walking down that aisle with him by my side since I’d imagined I would only have to sit down in the audience and wait for the whole thing to be over.

“Angela, are you done with your makeup yet? Would you like any help?”

Hayley, Ben’s mom, made her way over to me. She looked stunning, dressed in her wedding gown. The skirt had a lot of layers underneath to make it puff up a little, while the top of it fit her slim figure with a halter neck and an open back. As she lifted the skirt so as not to step on it, I could see the delicate silver sandals on her feet. Her hair, the same dark blond as Ben’s, was done up and pushed back and away from her face with combs and pins, with styled ringlets falling down her back. She didn’t have the veil on yet, but her make-up was done.

“You look beautiful, Hayley,” I said honestly.

She should be more than a decade older than I was, but she hardly looked her age.

Hayley smiled and twirled around for me. “It’s pretty, right? I wasn’t sure about it at. First, I didn’t think it would be the right fit, but I chose the perfect store to go shopping. You look beautiful as well, Angela.”

  “Thank you.”

As a bridesmaid, I was dressed in an off-white silk dress with short sleeves and a low, V-neck that fell to my feet. I was worried I would trip over the bottom of it.

“Your make-up is very well done, too,” she praised. “Very subtle, but striking.”

I smiled but said nothing. She didn’t have on a lot of make-up, just like me, and it made me think of how we’d both had husbands that treated us in all the wrong ways. Stuart didn’t like heavy make-up on me, but when we had to go out together or invited people over, he still wanted me to look pretty. I didn’t personally like make-up myself, but I’d grown used to it.

Then, I felt my stomach churn out of nowhere. I lifted the hem of the dress and rushed off to the bathroom before I could barf all over Hayley’s pretty wedding dress. I found an empty toilet and crouched in front of it, doing my best not to dirty my outfit. I’d had a crepe and some coffee for breakfast, and it was bitter coming back up my throat.

A few minutes later, with my stomach settled and my mouth clean, I went back to where Hayley was. Everyone else had been sent out of the room, leaving only the two of us, and she watched me with concern.

“I’m so sorry,” I said quickly, moving to the vanity table to re-do my make-up. “It’s nothing, just a small bug. I’m sorry.”

Before I could grab the lipstick, Hayley had grabbed both my hands and tugged me in front of her. She peered up at my face, and I started to feel self-conscious. I folded my lips together and kept my mouth closed, worried that my breath still smelled. I had some mints that I’d bought just for this reason.

Just when I was about to ask her what the problem was, Hayley spoke.

  “Angela, are you pregnant?”

My eyes widened, and I felt my cheeks grow warm. I thought of denying it, but my reaction and the look in her eyes told me it would be a wasted effort. She wasn’t so much asking, as confirming. We did spend the whole day toge
ther yesterday during the rehearsal, and she must have noticed the signs then.

“I don’t want Ben to know,” I said quickly. “Not just yet.”

Ben had assured me that she knew about us and she was okay with it, or I would have run out of there quickly.

Hayley smiled reassuringly. “Don’t worry, Angela. I don’t plan on telling him, that’s your right. How far along are you?”

“Um, a little over a month, I think,” I said, sheepish. “I only realized it a few days ago myself, so I’m still trying to digest it all. I wanted to wait until after the wedding before I… think of how I’ll tell him.”

She patted the back of my hand and sat me down. She went and picked up her purse, handing me a small packet of mints. I took a couple, murmuring a thank you as I popped them into my mouth and chewed. Then, she picked up the make-up, tilted my face slightly up, and helped me apply it again.

“I’m not going to pry into your business with my son,” she said quietly. “But I can tell you that you don’t have to worry about anything. I know my boy is young, and he doesn’t come off like it, but he’s always been responsible, in his way. And, I’m sure that he’ll be happy once you tell him.”

She did the finishing touch on my lips and put everything away, then turned to me with a gentle smile. She took both my hands in hers again as she tugged me to stand.

“More than that, Ben is going to be happy, because I have never seen my boy happy with anyone. Oh, he always has a crowd around him, and he would laugh and smile around them, but the moment they turn their backs, his expression goes flat. I don’t know if he’s ever had a friend he felt he could be himself around before, and now that he has you, I couldn’t be happier.”

“So, you’re not worried about the age difference?” I asked haltingly.

She laughed. “That would make me a hypocrite, your father is older than me, too, and I’m still marrying him. All I know is that Ben was sad and lonely when you weren’t around, also very anxious. And now, my boy has a smile on his face like I haven’t seen in a long time. That’s something that you brought to him, Angela, and I’m thankful to you for it.”
