Acknowledgments
Dante makes a huge discovery in Undaunted, one that will set the tone of the remaining books. Exploring his darker side offers me incredible challenges as an author, and I can’t wait to dive in further. I’ve also had a lot of fun writing our resident voodoo priestess, Bea. Researching the infinite wisdom of William Shakespeare and Henry David Thoreau and then making it fit the Blood Bond storyline has been exciting and fun!
Special thanks to David Grishman, former CEO of Waterhouse Press, for your belief in my work and advocacy on my behalf. It was a pleasure working with you, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Special thanks also go to David’s mother, Haidée La Pointe, who graciously showed me around her home town of New Orleans. I had so much fun, and without your guidance, I wouldn’t know about Pimm’s Cups or the layout of St. Louis Cemetery. Undaunted definitely benefited from my time with you. I hope to see you on my next visit!
Thank you so much to my high school classmate, Brian Archer, MD, for all the information on how to treat Lucy’s stab wound in the emergency room. As always, I do take creative license here and there, and any errors are mine alone. Gahanna Lincoln 1982 forever!
Thank you to my editor, Celina Summers, my line editor, Scott Saunders, and my proofreaders, Amy Grishman, Chrissie Saunders, Michele Hamner Moore, and Michele Lehman. You each added your own special touch to this story, and I’m forever grateful.
Thanks as always to the team at Waterhouse Press—Meredith, Jon, Robyn, Haley, Jennifer, Jeanne, Kurt, Amber, Yvonne, Jesse, and Dave. Your belief in me and my work keeps me going. You are the best publisher!
Special shout out to New York Times bestselling author J.S. Scott and USA Today bestselling author Angel Payne for the glorious cover quotes. You are two of my favorite ladies, and I’m happy to return the favor any time!
To the women—and a few men!—of my street team, Hardt and Soul—you rock! The love and support you give me lifts me to new heights. Thank you for spreading the word about the Blood Bond Saga and for your wonderful reviews and general good vibes.
Thank you to my family and friends and to my two local RWA chapters, Colorado Romance Writers and Heart of Denver Romance Writers.
Most of all, thank you to all my readers. Without you, none of this would be possible. Things are heating up for our vampire and his woman, and I hope you all enjoy what’s coming!
