Alpha Boss

Sam decided to be honest and vulnerable about her feelings for once in her life. “Preston. I have never felt like this before. I don’t know if I can trust what’s going on in my head or accept that this is really happening. I’m scared to lose you, and I don’t even have you yet.”

  “You have me, Sam.”

Sam looked up and took his hand. “I hear what you’re saying, but if this doesn’t work out, I think it will destroy me. I’m trying to figure out how I could possibly feel this way. I think you’re special too, Preston. You seem really sure, but it’s going to be hard for me to take that risk. I mean, look at what we just did at work in the middle of the day. I know it’s completely inappropriate, and I did it anyway. I wish I felt guilty, but I don’t. That was the best kiss I’ve ever had in my life, and my body never wanted anyone so badly. I’ve been thinking about you constantly since the moment we met. I find myself wanting to be physically close to you more than I should. It’s scary.”

  “I know.”

  “I need time.”

“Take all the time you need.”

“Thank you.” She relaxed a little.

  “You’re still mine.”

She tried her best to withhold the smile forming, but to no avail. Preston just winked at her. Damnit he’s sexy, was all Sam thought as she shook her head and chuckled.

He stood as he began cleaning off his desk. “Are you ready to go?” He asked.

“When you tell me where we’re going.”

“I thought I told you to a meeting.”

“You did, but what kind of meeting?”

“It’s an important meeting. I can’t be late. Let’s go.”

“So mysterious. What am I going to do with you, Preston Jacobs?” She stood as he walked over to her.

He pulled her close and gave her a kiss. Then he looked her in the eyes and said, “You can do whatever you want with me. There’s a lot I plan on doing with you, my sweet.”

  She blushed.

They cleared the desk, washed their hands, and headed out. Sam was nervous as the elevator descended. Did she look like a harlot that just did naughty things with her boss? As they approached the bottom floor her heart pounded. “Stop panicking.” He commanded.

  “I’m not panicking.” She snapped.

He leaned down and whispered in her ear. “I know you well, my sweet.”

She fought back a grin. How dare he make her weak in the knees and her whole body tingle? She decided to make him panic. Right before the doors opened she gave him a light smack on the behind. Followed by a pinch. Her hands were not visible to anyone else. “Mine.” She said half-jokingly.

“Don’t think I won’t fuck you senseless right now.” He looked at her.

She saw a flash of gold in his eyes. They stepped off the elevator. Sam had no words. Preston knew how to handle her masterfully. She could only imagine how he would handle her naked with his giant hands and his giant dick. She couldn’t think about that for long. They were in the lobby. There were not many people, but you never know who could be watching. Sam didn’t know how she should act. She was nervous about what to do, what people would think, and what Preston would want her to do. Preston smiled and placed his hand on the small of her back. Then he guided her through the lobby. Perfect handling of the situation. He maintained physical contact without doing anything inappropriate. Just enough to leave her wanting more. He spoke to everyone he passed as did she. He was cool and calm, and Sam loved every second of walking by his side.

When they exited the lobby, there was a car waiting by the door for them. Preston walked a few steps ahead and opened the door for her. She smiled and thanked him. He got in the car and sat right next to her. He grabbed her hand, and she intertwined her fingers with his. It only felt right. She felt his body ease of tension as she snuggled closer to him. “You’re not taking me to your evil lair, are you?”

  “Of course I am.”

  “Just checking.”

“Don’t worry. You will like it.”

“Okay. I’m just along for the ride. Destination unknown, and I’m not going to panic at all.”

  Twelve

Preston held the door open for Sam. She stepped out of the car and her eyes lit up. “Your meeting is here?” She smiled.

“You ready?” He looked down at her.

  “Yeah sure.” She said.

He placed his hand on the small of her back and led her into the entrance. When they entered the building, there were kids everywhere. The moment they were aware of Preston’s arrival they begin to call his name. “Mr. Jacobs. Hi Mr. Jacobs.” He walked through the room greeting the children and giving them high fives and hugs. He noticed Sam looking around in amazement. There were kids doing arts and crafts. There were movies, play areas, a learning area, a nursery, and a pool.

“Preston. How you doing baby?” Lucy the program director came rushing over and gave him a hug.

Preston returned the hug and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “Aunt Lucy this is Samantha Davis. She’s mine.” Preston could feel Sam’s glare burning a hole in him, but he paid her no attention. He turned and winked at her. “Samantha this is my Aunt Lucy and also the program director of The Rose Camp for Kids.”

Samantha reached out to shake Lucy’s hand, and Lucy pulled her in for a hug. “It’s very nice to meet you ma’am. This is an amazing place you have.”

Lucy beamed at Samantha. “Samantha. You call me Aunt Lucy. You hear?” Aunt Lucy was clearly pleased to see that Preston found his mate.

“Yes ma’am, Aunt Lucy. I’d love to see what you’ve done here.” Preston liked that she seemed to be excited about Rose’s. It was very dear to him, and he wanted Sam to love it as well. He wanted to show her a side of himself that no one else had seen. He’d be willing to do whatever it took to make her fall in love with him.

“I would love to show you what we have dear, but I didn’t do anything. It was Preston who brought this place to life. I just follow his direction.”

“Really!” Sam looked at Preston and gave his hand a tug. “I had no idea.”

Preston looked at Sam. “Aunt Lucy really does all the work. She’s the one that keeps this place going.”

“Child, this one is as modest as they come. Pay him no mind. Preston, why don’t you show Samantha around?”

They walked around with their hands intertwined, and Preston showed Sam the different areas and introduced her to some of the staff and the kids. When they approached the nursery, he saw Sam’s eyes light up. There was a longing that came from within her. She picked up one of the babies and held him close as she rocked him back and forth. His heart warmed at her maternal side. Preston put his arm around her. “You want babies?” He asked. He was really confirming what he’d already sensed. She just looked up at him and tried to smile. She was afraid to answer. “You can tell me anything Sam. There won’t be secrets between us. I will give you babies. As many as you want.”

She had a look mixed with hesitation and amazement. She finally answered him. “Suddenly I do.”

He kissed her on her forehead. “Thank you for trusting me. I know that was hard for you.” He reached out his finger and the baby wrapped his little hand around it. He imagined having a bunch of cubs with Sam. She looked up at him and smiled. This time it was a real smile. He pulled her closer.

They explored some more before going to sit outside on a bench. “What made you open this place?” She asked him.

“My mother loved kids. and the kids loved her too. She had a passion for helping single moms or families that were struggling, and she opened a daycare. She wouldn’t charge them much. She just wanted the kids to have a safe place to go to while their parents worked. It was one thing that truly made her happy. She was always thinking about other people.”

“She sounds like an amazing woman.”

“She was. After she died I wanted to do something to honor her memory, and something she would be proud of. I asked my Aunt Lucy, her sister, if she would
help me run the place.”

“Wow. Is your mother’s name Rose?” Preston nodded fighting back his emotions. Sam touched his cheek. He could feel her sympathy for him. “Well I can assure you that she is definitely proud of you. I’m proud of you.” She kissed his lips softly and wrapped her arms around him. Nothing in his life had ever made him feel better than this moment.”

He cleared his throat as they pulled apart. He was a little choked up. “She would be prouder that I found you.”

  “You flatter me.”

“It’s true. So, tell me about your family.” He noticed that Sam hesitated a bit. “It’s okay. You can talk to me.”

Sam took a deep breath. “My parents died years ago. My dad when I was twenty, and my mom a few years back. I was really close to my mom, and I miss her every day. I don’t think there is anything that can fill that void. I guess she liked kids too. She was a teacher, and the sweetest woman you’d ever meet. She would have loved you.” She looked up at him and smiled. “I don’t have any siblings, or any family members that I’m really close to. My best friend Lisa is family to me. I don’t know. Sometimes I think the emotional part of me shut down when I lost her.”

  “You hold everything in.”

  “Only when I shouldn’t.”

“You use humor as a defense mechanism,” Preston said.

  “Yes, doctor.”

He rubbed her cheek and looked into her eyes. “You don’t have to make jokes.”

“I don’t do it intentionally. It’s more instinct. I think I try to make people laugh so they don’t see the truth.”

  “What’s the truth?”

“Sometimes I feel all alone in this world.”

He put his arms around her. “I have a huge family, and I feel lonely sometimes.”

  “Really?”

  “Yes, until I met you.”

“How can you say that?” Sam asked.

“I felt like something was missing, and then I saw you. Can you just try to believe me when I tell you that?”

“I’m trying Preston.” They stayed embraced for a while. Having this intimate moment with Sam made his heart swell. He was falling more and more with every minute that passed.

They left after saying goodbye to Lucy, and Preston told the driver take them to Samantha’s house. “I have to go get my car,” Sam informed him.

“I’ll pick you up in the morning.”

“Don’t you think people will be suspicious if we leave together and arrive together?”

“I don’t care what people think. If they assume a sexy as fuck woman came into my office, and I am completely smitten with her, they would be right, and I’m okay with that.”

“Have you done anything like that before?” she asked.

“No, and I never will again. I don’t care who knows that you’re mine. You will always be mine,” he informed her.

“No one has ever said the things that you say to me.”

“And no one else ever will, love.”

“You sure about that, are you?”

“I am. I’m also sure that no one is going to do the things that I’m going to do to that body.” He gazed at her breasts and licked his lips before his eyes traveled down. “Do you have any idea what you do to me, Sam?”

  Sam shook her head, “No.”

Preston rested his hand on her knee and moved it up her skirt. “I know what I do, to you. I know that you are soaking wet right now, aren’t you?” His hand moved to the inside of her thigh and he scratched lightly. She shivered and let out a whimper before nodding in agreement. “I know you want me to fuck you, Samantha, don’t you?” She nodded. “Answer me,” he commanded.

  She hesitated before replying, “Yes.”

He whispered in her ear, “I have never wanted to fuck anyone so badly in my entire life. You understand me, baby.” He placed her hand on his lap. “I have never been so hard in my entire fucking life. You do that to me every time I see you.”

The car pulled up to Sam’s house. Preston got out of the car and spoke to the driver before opening the door for Sam. Sam got out of the car. “Let’s talk for a minute,” she said.

“Talk? Fine.” He walked behind her, grabbing her waist as he pressed his erection against her ass.

They walked slowly to the front door and stopped, before Sam turned around and faced him. She placed her hands in his and her expression turned serious. “Preston, will you be honest with me?”

  “Always,” he replied.

“Is this just a physical thing for you? Are you just telling me what I want to hear?”

Preston was hurt. “If I just wanted to fuck you, I wouldn’t have taken you somewhere so personal. I have never taken anyone to Rose’s. Not very many people even know about the place. I wouldn’t have opened up to you. I wouldn’t have even hired you, Samantha. Do you think I hire women to sleep with?”

  “I hope not,” Sam replied.

“I don’t have to go to such lengths to get someone into bed. I want to get to know you, and I want you to know me. I thought you would see that.”

“You understand why I would be skeptical?”

“I understand that your past may have taught you to distrust, and I wish there was something I could do to show you that this is different.”

“It is different. You’re different. This is just moving really fast for me, and I hope that you’re okay with taking our time.”

“You’re the boss,” he replied. “We won’t do anything you don’t want to do.”

Sam smiled at him. “Okay, then. I’m the boss. Remember you said that.”

“I have a feeling I’m going to regret those words. Let’s go inside.”

“Not tonight, Preston. I’ll see you in the morning.”

“Can I kiss you goodnight? he asked.

  “I was hoping you would.”

The kiss was slow and sweet, but then grew hungrier. His mouth captured and covered hers, and his hands roamed her body. He was going to make sure Samantha couldn’t think about anything but him for the rest of the night. He suddenly pulled away, ending the kiss, as her lips were still puckered waiting for him to continue. She opened her eyes, confused. “I’ll pick you up at 7. Goodnight. He kissed her hand, and without giving her time to protest, he turned and walked back to the car, knowing that she watched him the entire way.

  Thirteen

Sam sat at her desk with her chin rested on her hands. The past couple of days had been so surreal. She met this guy and he was grumpy, possessive and a know it all, but he was sweet with a heart of gold. He was nice to her. He brought her a flower every day. His kisses made her knees weak. His touch electrified her skin. His voice sent tingles down her spine. His smell made her float on air. He was under her skin, and Sam needed to do something about it. All she could think about was Preston Jacobs. She picked up another rose that he left on her desk. He occupied too much of her mind, and Sam was beginning to fall hard. She had spent too much time protecting her heart to just give it away so easily. What would be the best way to handle this situation she had gotten herself into? Should she quit this job? She could just move on and forget about Preston eventually, but a man like Preston is unforgettable. And now he was talking about giving her babies. It was too good to be true. He opened up to her. He got her to open up to him. She called her best friend.

  “Lisa. I’m in trouble.”

“I’m sorry what was that?” Lisa said.

“You heard me. I don’t know what to do. The things he did to me still make my skin tingle. If the phone hadn’t rung the other day we would have banged on his desk. Last night he came over unannounced, and we watched a movie. A movie. We fooled around a bit, but he respected my wishes to take things slowly, which I totally regret asking for by the way.”

“Now we’re talking. What’s the problem?”

“What am I supposed to do?”

Well I myself like the direct approach. Just get down on your knees, unzip his pants, and put it in your mouth.”

  “Lisa!”

“What? Oh, you need further instructions.” Lisa joked.

Sam interrupted her. “Lisa I’m serious. I’m way out of my league here.”

“Sam. Stop being scared. If you don’t get with this man trust me somebody else will be happy to take your place. Do you want that? Do you want to see him with another woman?”

  “No.”

“Well. Give the man a chance. Just let go and have some fun for once in your life. I beg of you. You deserve it. Stop overthinking everything and just do something. Please.”

“But I can’t function around him. I get weak in the knees. My throat dries up. My heart starts racing.”

“Get a grip, Sam. He is just a man. He is no better than you. He does not get to have power over you. No one does. Got it? Now I know he’s the boss, but who’s in charge Sam?”

  “I am?” Sam asked.

“Is that a question? Boss bitches don’t ask. They make moves. Now who’s in charge?”

Lisa was right. Sam didn’t need to be controlled by her feelings. She needed to take charge. “I am.” Sam said with a little more confidence.

“Are you going to let this man play with you?”

“Only in the bedroom.” Sam slammed her hand on her desk.

  “That’s my girl.

Sam blushed. “Girl you’re crazy. I am not going into his bedroom.”

“Whatever you need to tell yourself,” Lisa replied.

“Seriously. It’s already bad enough. He said he would give me babies. He said I was his.”

“You mean your sexy, rich boss wants to commit to you and give you kids.”

  “That’s what he said.”

“Remind me what your last boyfriend was offering, baby mama drama and an uncertain future?”

  “Touché.”

“Okay girl. I gotta get back to work. Call me when you have some real problems?”
