Greed Lust Addiction

Our experiences were unique and exceptional. I was not able to note down the experiences of everyone, as it was too personal for them, but everyone stated that they felt relieved of many tensions. The main thing was that today we were delighted to know the powers and mysteries of body and mind through vibrant yoga which is considered the first stage towards spirituality.
Guruji said, “This was just a trailer of what powers our body and mind have. In the first course itself, we cannot learn everything. As you are aware, human beings can only use around 10 percent of their mind and body powers. Today during vibrant yoga, you have used 20 percent; so you can imagine what will happen to your body and mind if you increase the usage of your powers. As for many years, our body and mind have been behaving in a particular manner, so we need to awaken it in a phased manner. Otherwise our nerves and organs can burst if we try to use the full powers of the body and mind in the first attempt. That is why it is always recommended to do vibrant yoga activities under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
You have to regularly keep cleansing your body by eating natural and organic food, which is suitable for your bodies as per ayurvedic or naturopathic and herbal systems. You need to continuously purify your soul by adopting, adapting and practising virtues such as positive thoughts, positive attitude in life, empathy, reasoning power, seeking material wealth only after developing your skills and capabilities, welfare meditation, and so on, and continuously and consistently removing vices such as greed, lust, addiction, hatred, gossiping, comparison, expectation, anger, jealousy, etc.
It is essential to cleanse your pineal gland as well which is considered the resting place of the soul or third eye to experience a higher level of meditation and spirituality.
More mysteries of body, mind, intellect, and soul, will be explored and learnt in the next soul-awakening course. Till then goodbye, best of luck and best wishes for your physical, mental, social and spiritual health. Have a meaningful and purposeful life ahead by focussing on your hobbies and welfare of society through welfare meditation.”
When Guruji said this, it was a very touching moment for us. All of us were deeply touched, and our eyes became wet, as now we had to depart and leave the ashram for our respective destinations to focus on our livelihood in the material world. We all hugged each other. Some of us became very emotional and started crying. This was more like a family bonding, and now we were very sad that we would be separating from this family comprising of persons of different religions and different nations. To depart is the way of life and to meet is the hope of life, so we all departed hoping to meet again soon.

Revenge Through Legal Recourse
A fter reading all the diaries, Vijay and Seema were clear about Suraj’s life before and after the accident. Vijay and Seema were glad that after facing so many challenges, Suraj was finally involved in a very constructive smart village project.
Vijay and Seema decided to go to the ashram to meet Suraj and Guruji to discuss the next course of action.
On the way to the ashram, Vijay said, “After reading Suraj’s diaries, I have now decided to become an honest police officer.”
Seema said, “What do you mean? Are you not an honest police officer?”
Vijay said, “Today, let me frankly admit that my main objective in joining the police force was to earn money. Knowing whatever happened with Suraj was due to the corrupt system, and after learning about the self-reform concept through his diaries, now my perspective towards living life has changed. I have decided to work on self-reform by instilling virtues, values, and morals and becoming a wealthy person only by improving and increasing my skills and capabilities following the principle deserve then reserve. Now I understand that wealth accumulated through corrupt practices harms someone in society and Mother Nature by over exploitation of natural resources.”
Seema said, “The most important step towards self-reform is to admit one’s own mistakes. You need courage for that, and if you are acknowledging from your heart, then I am sure you will surely work on it. By the way, what will you do to add more skills and capabilities? What are your plans?”
Vijay said, “I am planning to join a course to learn how to solve IT and cyber-related crimes. My dream is to join an international division of INTERPOL to handle money launderings and tax evasion cases such as illegal money kept by politicians, bureaucrats, and businessmen in foreign accounts, which is taxpayers’ money but routed by these scoundrels to tax haven countries. This money can be brought back to India to raise the standards of living of the farmers and the poor people.”
Seema said, “Sounds interesting but looks challenging.”
They both reached the ashram and met Suraj and Guruji.
After initial greetings, Vijay said, “Suraj bhai, we read all your diaries thoroughly and realise that under Guruji’s mentorship you have opted for self-reform and social reform to bring about a change in the lives of the farmers. It’s very inspiring. I am proud of you.”
Seema said, “I admire this philosophy of self-reform.”
Suraj smiled and said, “You should thank Guruji for guiding me to first change myself before planning to change the world.”
Seema said, “In your diaries, we read about the option to file a legal case against the crooks. Now, we can plan to lodge an FIR under Section 307 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) which deals with an attempt to murder.”
Guruji said, “Yes, you are right Seema. We are living in a democracy, so we must honour the constitution and trust the judiciary to get justice.”
Suraj asked Vijay, “What witnesses and evidence do we have so far to fight this case?”
Vijay said, “We can use Sanjay as an approver or witness from our side, but it is doubtful whether he will be ready to become an approver to support us. Maybe if you speak to him, he can become an approver from our side in this case.”
Vijay asked, “What about the sting operation CDs?”
Suraj said, “Those CDs are kept safe in a bank locker. I will have to go to the bank personally.”
Vijay said, “We also have some recordings which will help make our case strong. We need a good lawyer to fight this case.”
Suraj said, “I know a lawyer, Gulshan Narang. He was my classmate and is now a practising lawyer. I will speak to him.”
Vijay said, “I feel it is the right time to inform our family members that you are alive. They will be delighted to hear this news. I am excited about sharing this happy news with them.”
Suraj said, “Just hold on. I think it is not safe to inform them over the phone as in the excitement they might immediately rush to meet me personally, especially Ujjawal. Instead of them coming here, I should visit them personally. I shall visit the village sometime this week. Until that time you control your excitement and keep quiet.”
Vijay agreed and left the ashram along with Seema.
Next day, Suraj went to Dehradun to take out all the sting operation CDs from the bank locker. He handed over the CDs to Vijay who got copies made of the CDs.
After this work, Suraj, Vijay, and Seema went to meet Sanjay. Seeing Suraj with long hair, beard, and moustache, Sanjay was not able to recognise him.
Then Vijay said, “He is Suraj bhai, and he is alive.”
Hearing this, Sanjay was shocked and immediately hugged Suraj. Sanjay said, “Suraj, I am sorry about whatever I did to you. Due to greed and jealousy, I swayed away from the righteous path and treated a genuine friend as an enemy. But my friend Suraj, you were right in your approach. Being a pure soul, the Supreme Soul saved you. Now, I have realised my mistakes. Please tell me what I can do for you.”
Suraj said, “Although you were also a part of the crime, if you decide to become an approver, then we can punish these crooks with the help of the judiciary.”
Sanjay said, “Suraj if you promise that no legal case will be filed against me then I am ready to become an approver. This way, at least I can repent my wrongdoings. Maybe God is giving me a
chance to improve my karma.”
Seema said, “Sanjay, as they are very powerful persons, we need your firm commitment.”
Sanjay said, “I will become an approver in this case. That is my firm commitment.”
He again hugged Suraj and said, “Now my senses are back, the devil inside me has gone away, and no one can divert me from the righteous path of truthfulness and loyalty towards my friend. I am with you Suraj.”
After getting a commitment from Sanjay to become an approver, all of them went to the police station near the region of the accident. The police station officer refused to lodge an FIR against such powerful people. He did not listen to even Vijay, although he was from the police department.
Seema said, “If you do not lodge an FIR then we have no option but to highlight this case in the media.”
After a lot of resistance, the police inspector agreed to lodge the FIR. He mentioned all the names of the accused and recorded Sanjay’s statement.
After lodging the FIR, they went to Gulshan Narang’s chamber. Everybody in the court premises was looking with curiosity at Suraj who was in saffron coloured clothes with a beard, moustache and long hair.
Gulshan asked, “How are you, Vijay? You are looking smart as a police inspector.”
Vijay said, “I am fine, bhai, thanks.”
Gulshan after seeing Suraj, asked, “Who is this monk?”
Vijay said, “Try to recognise him.”
Gulshan jokingly said, “Are you a celebrity Baba? I have not seen you on any news channel preaching, teaching yoga or selling herbal and organic products. What have you done, rape or murder, as is common for modern fake babas? Do you need a lawyer?”
Suraj ignored Gulshan’s sarcastic questions and with a smile on his face said, “How are you, Gullu, my friend?”
Gulshan said, “You know my nickname; that means you can also tell my future.”
Gulshan thrust his right hand towards Suraj and said, “Please study my palm and tell me when I will become a famous criminal lawyer like Mr. Kapil Kumar Khurana.”
Suraj hugged him warmly, and said, “You will become a famous lawyer after fighting my case.”
Vijay said, “Gulshan bhai, he is Suraj, and he is alive.”
Gulshan with surprise on his face said, “You are Suraj? I cannot believe it; you are alive! How can it be possible? I attended your funeral.”
Gulshan touched Suraj’s face with his fingers, “Are you a real person or a ghost of Suraj?”
Gulshan was shocked and surprised to see Suraj alive in front of him!
Vijay said, “This is a long story. Today we are here to seek your help. We want to file a case against the crooks who tried to kill Suraj.”
Gulshan said, “Please tell me the whole story and give me facts with the evidence which I will examine thoroughly before filing a case in court.”
Vijay gave him photocopies of relevant pages of Suraj’s diaries, sting operation CDs, and a copy of the FIR and Sanjay’s statement, to understand the case.
Gulshan stood up and hugged Suraj, and said, “I am delighted to see you alive. Suraj, you don’t worry; I will fight your case. You are like my brother. Come back next week. Meanwhile, I will read all the documents and examine all the evidence.”
Suddenly Gulshan asked Suraj, “By the way, have you heard anything from our old school friend now known as Swami Jaidev Baba?”
Suraj said, “No. I hope he is alright?”
Gulshan said, “Alright! You will be surprised to know that after leaving his MNC job, he professionally started his baba business and it clicked and is flourishing well. Now, he is a millionaire. I will tell you his success story some other day.”
Once the meeting with Gulshan was over, Suraj said to Vijay, “This Sunday, I will visit the village to meet the family members, but do not call them. I want to give them a surprise.”
Vijay said, “OK. Best of luck for your journey!”

Second Visit to the Village
S unday morning, Suraj took a bus to go to his village. After a journey of a few hours, he reached the village. He had planned his visit on a Sunday keeping in mind that all the family members would be at home. When he was about to climb the stairs towards the first-floor courtyard of his house, he saw Ujjawal on one side of the ground floor playing with a baby goat. Ujjawal also saw him.
Ujjawal ran towards him shouting, “Uncle, Uncle!”
He came up to Suraj and tightly held on to his legs. Suraj lifted him and made him sit on his shoulders as he used to do in the past after coming home from his office.
On hearing Ujjawal’s loud voice saying ‘Uncle, Uncle,’ all the other family members came out of their rooms to the courtyard to see who had come to their house. They saw Swamiji climbing up the stairs with Ujjawal on his shoulders.
Priya scolded Ujjawal to come down from his shoulders.
Suraj said, “It’s OK. Please don’t scold him.”
The Ujjawal’s grandmother said, “Swamiji, it is good that you have come again. Ujjawal has been asking for you since the day you left our house. Just yesterday he was asking when Uncle will come again bringing back his father from God.”
After initial greetings, Suraj touched his parents’feet. Both of them were surprised and asked, “Swamiji, why are you touching our feet? We should touch your feet because you are a Swami.”
They offered Suraj a chair and brought water for him.
Meanwhile, Suraj saw Priya standing in a corner. She looked very weak and pale. Ujjawal was sitting in Suraj’s lap. Suraj was thinking how to disclose to his family members that he was alive. This moment was very exciting for him. He was nervous. He had never before faced this type of extraordinary situation. He was not able to control his breath and pulse rate. His heart was beating fast and not allowing him to utter any words to disclose his identity. He was imagining how the family members would react after hearing that he was alive.
Suraj asked his father, “Can you please give me a pair of scissors and a razor?”
His father hesitantly asked, “Swamiji, but why do you need these things?”
Suraj said, “Today onwards I want to give up my mask of Swami and wish to become an ordinary family person like you.”
The father asked, “Why Swamiji? Do you not like your monk life? What happened? Why do you suddenly want to become a normal family person?”
Suraj said, “I want to become your son.”
The father with surprise on his face asked, “How can you become our son in this manner?”
Suraj said, “Give me twenty minutes. Please give me the scissors and shaving material.”
Suraj’s father gave him the items he was requesting. Suraj went inside the room and locked it from inside so that no one would disturb him for the next few minutes. In front of a small mirror, he cut his beard, moustache and long hair. It was a time-consuming process. After becoming clean shaven, he observed his face in the mirror for a few minutes. He was wondering how to go out of the room and face his family members in his original appearance. His body felt rejuvenated at the thought of seeing his family members, and his heartbeat was very fast.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Suraj came out. The first person Suraj saw was his mother. When she saw Suraj, she immediately rushed to him and hugged him, tears of happiness flowing out of her eyes. His father and Priya rushed towards Suraj. Only Ujjawal was standing on one side. All hugged Suraj and were sobbing very loudly, tears continuously flowing from their eyes. This was a very emotional moment for all the family members. Tears were flowing even from Suraj’s eyes. For the next few minutes, there was complete silence. No one said anything; they were just hugging each other. Ujjawal looked shocked!
Priya hugged Suraj for a few minutes and cried, “Where were you? Why did you leave us alone? We were nothing without you. For what deed of mine, did you give me such punishment?”
Suraj warmly and tightly hugged Priya without saying anything. It was like a moment when iron a
nd magnet meet each other with intense power. Soon they realised the presence of the parents, and their sanskar and values forced them to separate from their intense bond.
After a few minutes, Suraj’s mother went to Ujjawal and said. “Ujjawal, see, your father is alive and is here.”
Ujjawal said innocently, “No, he is not my father. Where is Uncle? I want Uncle back.” Hearing Ujjawal’s innocent words, everybody started laughing. After a few months of separation from his father, he was not able to recognise Suraj.
Ujjawal said, “I want my Uncle back. This person killed my Uncle inside the room.”
He went into the room to search for his Uncle.
His grandfather followed him and said, “Ujjawal, he is your father, not your Uncle.”
Ujjawal said, “No, no, where is my Uncle?” He started crying.
Everybody tried to convince him that Suraj was his father. They showed him old photographs. But it was challenging to convince him. It seemed as if in these few months, the image of his father had faded from his mind.
That day in the evening, a party was organised to celebrate Suraj’s rebirth. Vijay came to the house after a few hours. Pawan, one of Suraj’s cousins also happened to come. Pawan’s father, Suraj’s maternal uncle, was living in America after deserting his family around twenty-five years ago and had married an American lady to become an American citizen. Pawan was working as a chef in a hotel in Mussoorie. Suraj introduced him to the concept of farmers growing organic products by cooperative farming as part of the smart village project. Pawan said that he would talk to his other chef friends in India and abroad to use and promote these organic and natural products in their restaurants. He shared his dream of going overseas to work in a restaurant to earn enough money to open his own restaurant in Dehradun.
