Dante vs the Internet

But Chris had other ideas. Once again, he slid a finger down until he was running it around the rim of Dante’s hole. Touching them both as his cock slipped in and out. He’d never had a guy do this to him before and it was unbelievably erotic. He couldn’t help but gasp, lost in the rightness of the moment, “Chris, you’re so perfect...beautiful.”
When Chris reached for his hips again, this time Dante let him push him down hard, holding him steady while Chris fought for leverage to plunge his dick in as far as it would go. Dante contracted the muscles of his ass and Chris went rigid while he pumped himself into Dante. It was then that Dante opened his eyes to see Chris twisting in ecstasy. The sight pushed him over and he screamed as he came harder than he ever had before.
They rode out their pleasure together for as long as possible before they landed in a heap on the bed.
Dante slid off Chris and settled down beside him, tangling their legs together and exchanging exhausted, sloppy kisses. They touched one another everywhere they could reach, both knowing that there would be no round two, but enjoying the sensations all the same.
As they lie there recovering, Chris’ words suddenly popped into his head and he couldn’t resist a little teasing. He nudged Chris until he reluctantly opened his eyes. Once he had Chris’ attention, he said, “Not that I’m complaining, but, ‘velvet fire?’”
Chris’ grin was good natured and a bit sheepish. “Fuck you,” He drawled, lazy and contented. “You asked how it felt.”
“You silver-tongued fox.”
“Shut up, Dante. Again, if this is how you seduce a guy. Your technique needs more work.”
“Please,” Dante scoffed. “I just made you come your brains out. My technique is fine.”
Chris yawned. “Yeah, yeah, yeah. You’re the man. Now shut up because I’m going to sleep. You can whisper sweet nothings in my ear later.” He threw an arm across Dante’s chest, snuggled in and was asleep in minutes.
While it certainly wasn’t a love declaration, Chris’ teasing warmed Dante’s heart. This was how they communicated, with snarky one-liners, but this time something had been different, their lovemaking more intense. More...something. Dante couldn’t name the specific word, but he felt it inside as he pulled Chris closer into his embrace. They’d gone past the friends with benefits arrangement with every touch and caress tonight.
For Dante, he’d come to the realization that he was totally and irreconcilably in love with Chris. He fell asleep with the knowledge that everything in his life had changed and he had no idea if Chris would ever feel the same.
For the first time in his life, Dante knew the fierce joy, and heartbreak of love.
Chapter Thirteen
Chris yawned and stretched out, pulling Dante’s pillow closer to his body. It smelled faintly of Dante’s expensive aftershave and them. He smiled as he remembered last night’s lovemaking. While he’d loved Dante taking charge and being inside his friend, deep down Chris preferred bottoming. Sure, he wasn’t going to turn down fucking Dante, but if he had to pick, he’d rather have Dante’s cock up his ass. It had only taken him thirty years to realize he was a slut for cock. Maybe he should send a thank you to his ex-girlfriend, Liz for introducing him to anal play in college?
Pirate jumped up on the bed and pawed at him, eager to go outside. Dante had taken the dog for a quick pee this morning after he’d rolled out of bed. He’d been up early as the read-through with the Logan’s Run people had been scheduled for eleven a.m. But with L.A. traffic, it meant he had to leave their Silver Lake house at nine.
“I’m coming, boy.”
Soulful brown eyes and floppy hair greeted him as Pirate crawled up the bed and lay down on top of him.
He petted the Pirate’s head and mock whispered, “Don’t tell Daddy I let you on the bed, otherwise, he’ll have a cow.” Dante said he didn’t want their bed to smell like dog. Chris didn’t give a crap as he was the one who washed the sheets, but he had to admit it was a bit creepy having the dog watch as they had sex. So, Pirate had been banned to the living room at night.
He threw his legs over the side of the bed and raised his arms to get out all the kinks in his back. Normally, he’d go for a run, then come home and eat and shower. But the weather in L.A. for December was gorgeous, so instead he decided to take Pirate on a hike at Elysian Park Trial.
Ten minutes later, they were in his SUV, treats and water in his hiking pack. Pirate hung his head out the passenger window and Chris cruised down Sunset Boulevard towards Echo Park and the trail. US-101 was quicker but he’d rather cut off his left nut than get on the freeway. Navigating Los Angeles took patience, perseverance and good GPS to get you around gridlock.
In a record-breaking nine minutes, Chris pulled his SUV into a parking spot and turned off the engine.
“You ready for a walk, boy?” Chris asked.
He could have sworn Pirate nodded and he got out of the car, dog jumping out after him. He put on his backpack, checked that Pirate’s leash was secure around his collar and off they went.
Normally Chris hiked the Elysian Park West Loop Trail but even on a Monday morning it would be crowded with people and dogs. While that had better nature viewing, Chris wasn’t interested in being friendly today in case he ran into fans.
Pushing his sunglasses back on his nose and pulling down his favorite Dodgers baseball cap, Pirate and he set off to hike the Portola Trail Loop. The 2.3-mile hike had beautiful views of the city and on a mostly smog-free day like today, Chris would take the cityscape over nature.
Thirty minutes into their walk, after Pirate had peed on every rock, bush and available tree, Chris sat down in a patch of grass off the dirt trailhead and pulled out a granola bar and ate breakfast. He gave Pirate some water in his collapsible bowl and a doggie biscuit. Taking a few pictures, he added them to his collection. Pulling up his IG account, he grabbed a picture of the Hollywood Hills and posted it.
Unlike Dante, he routinely posted pictures days or weeks later from walks or hikes to throw off his subscribers. He wasn’t doing to be fake or malicious, but after Double Trouble ended, he’d had a couple run-ins with stalkers. One “fan” he’d had to get a restraining order as she’d broken into his house and left rose petals and love notes all over his bed. It freaked him out to this day and the feeling that someone invaded his space? Well, it was a good thing he’d sold that house after Herb ran off with his money. His house had never felt safe after that even with a new alarm system.
After the woman’s subsequent arrest, the Los Angeles Police Department Threat Management Unit had told him to not let people know his whereabouts on social media, just in case.
He glanced at Pirate snoozing quietly in the grass next to him and said, “We need to teach your Daddy that announcing everywhere you go on Twitter is not a good idea!”
Pirate had the right idea and Chris lay down on his back and looked up at the blue sky. He sent Dante a quick text: Good luck! You’ll knock them dead. Plus a few emoji’s and put his phone in his backpack. A nap sounded good. Pirate had the right idea.
About an hour later, Chris and Pirate got back on the trail and headed in the direction of the car. He passed a mom and her toddler in a stroller and they nodded to each, the equivalent of a hello in L.A. As they got closer to the parking lot, he saw more people crowding into the area, Chris thanked his lucky stars he’d come early. As always, he wondered how so many people could not be at work on a weekday morning like this? Were they all unemployed actors?
Pulling Pirate’s leash to keep the dog close to his body, Chris weaved his way through the parking lot. Once Pirate and he were in the car, waiting for his A/C to kick in, Chris asked, “You want lunch, boy?”
In-N-Out Burger sounded really good.
Chris punched in the closest restaurant and they took off, Pirate once again hanging his head out the window. Eventually they reached the drive-through and Chris ordered two cheeseburgers, one for him, the other for Pirate. He’d have to do fifty extra s
it-ups to work off all the calories, but it was worth it. Pulling into an empty parking space, Chris gave Pirate his cheeseburger and bit into his. Oh my God, he thought. Almost better than sex! Almost.
He checked his phone. No message from Dante, but he had a message from Katie.
You still fucking Dante, or has he broken your heart yet?
He texted back: You only wish you were getting some of the D on the regular.
