“Tristian, they’re waiting.” They looked at me and I froze.
“Kimiko? Akira?” They looked at each other then slowly back at me.
“Rai.” Kimiko smiled, ran at me and hugged me.
“RAI!! I MISSED YOU SO DAMN MUCH!!!” I hugged her back and Tristian and Dai looked on skeptically. Akira stared at Tristian then at Dai and glared at them.
“This is the girl who was supposed to be killed?” They nodded slowly obviously afraid of him. I would be afraid of him too.
“The same girl that you two are fighting over cause you apparently love her?” He continued and they nodded again. Akira shot so much hate their way; they shrunk back.
“I OUGHTA KILL YOU!!” The door burst open again and the Brutanic King stood there.
“I sent you to get the girl and you didn’t.” He looked at me and then at everyone else in the room.
“Ugh, the powerful one. Wait, why didn’t you two bring her in chains?”
“Dai and Tristian fell in love with her…” Kimiko started,
“…And there’s no way that we’re gonna kill our other part…” Akira finished.
“This is the long-lost triplet? Oh my God girl, do you have some kind of love spell or something?”
I shrugged sheepishly. “Venus is our great-great-great-great grandmother.” He sighed.
“Maybe that’s why your daughter has pink hair… romantic and innocent…” Akira and Kimiko stared at me.
“DAUGHTER?!!” They asked in unison. I avoided their eyes and looked at Dai.
‘Help me please.’ Dai nodded and caught on. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room.
“I aim to please. Do you forgive me?” I gulped and felt my throat close up.
“Don’t go there Dai.” He picked me up and ran further away from the rest. When we were alone, he put me down and pinned me to the wall.
“Do you forgive me?” I looked away and shook my head.
“No.” He brought my face back up to his. “Do you forgive me? And answer me. Yes or No.” I stared at him and felt the old Rai coming back. I sighed. Some people would say I’m stupid for what I’m about to do, others would say I’m me.
“I can’t. I shouldn’t.” He sighed and tried again.
“Ok. Let me ask another question…
Do you love me?”
I sighed and looked down.
“Dai. Don’t do this. Please.” He sighed and grabbed my hand.
“We need to find Isabella. When Tristian doesn’t get what he wants, he turns bloodthirsty.” I nodded and we walked off in the path that I felt her in.

Nat’s P.O.V.
I groaned as I tried to pull my arm out of the wall. Damn that hurts so freaking much. I looked at the unconscious Max on the ground and I screamed.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!!” Mason snickered and that’s when I remembered. Max told me there was a reason he came in my house.
‘Logan. Shawn. Rosalie. Help. I’m gonna die. A Brutanic kid is gonna kill me and Max is unconscious. Help.’
They appeared in front of me as soon as I said I’m gonna die. Rosalie looked at me and gasped.
“Nat!” She ran over and tried to get my arm out of the wall. “Don’t move.” I nodded but only felt the wall go further into my arm.
“Back up? Sad. Max couldn’t save you and he’s a fricking wolf…. Like me.” Mason smiled sadistically and I shivered. He’s the definite opposite of Max.
“You’re gonna die… once and for all.”
Chapter 9
*2 years later*
Rai’s P.O.V.
“Do you think she’s gonna live? I mean it’s been two years.” I smiled and held Dani’s hand.
“We’re the three musketeers and we’re gonna stay that way.”
“Damn right.” She smirked and stared Nat lying in the hospital bed. I sighed and held her hand.
“Have you seen her father?”
“Not since he heard she slipped into a coma.” I sighed again and sat on her bed.
“This is all our fault.”
“No, it is not.” I looked up at Dani. Ever since she and Jake started over, she’s been less depressed and stopped blaming herself for everything.
“It’s mine.” We looked over at the disheveled boy that appeared in the doorway. His black hair that was usually styled to perfection was all over the place and the top half of his body was covered in bandages. His blue-green eyes held tears that were threatened to spill over. His tear-stained cheeks showed that some already had.
“If I hadn’t been so stupid, she would be here with us.” Dani stared at him emotionlessly.
“And someone else would be in the bed.” I looked away sadly. I came that close.
“You’re not that stupid as to blame yourself are you?” I looked at Dani and she looked back at me.
“It wasn’t me.” We said in unison and I felt a squeeze on my right hand. I looked at it and up into the eyes of…
“Nat! You’re alive!” I grinned and hugged her. She hugged back and smiled.
“Of course I’m alive. How long was I asleep?”
“Two years.” Dani and I said simultaneously. Her eyes widened and she turned her gaze to Max. Dani smiled and held my hand.
“We’ll leave now.” I let go of Nat’s hand and followed Dani out.

Dai’s P.O.V.
“Do you think we did the right thing?” I looked up from my coffee and looked at Jake.
“You’re asking your 18 year old sadistic best friend. What do you think?” I looked over at Dani and Rai walking out of Nat’s room smiling.
“So I guess there is good news?” Jake asked mainly staring at Dani. She nodded and Rai looked at me and glared. My mood instantly went down. She whispered something to Dani then walked straight past me. I looked at Dani and Jake.
“Go after her.” Dani smiled and I nodded and ran in the direction Rai ran in.
I sighed when I lost sight of her hair. This isn’t gonna work. A tugging on my pants made me look down.
“Isabella?” She smiled up at me with her gold eyes.
“Hi Dai. Are you looking for mommy?” I nodded and she grabbed my hand.
“She’s this way.” She pointed and led me over to the back of the hospital and into the forest.
“She’s over there.” She pointed and I smiled and thanked her.
“Here goes nothing.” I muttered and walked over to Rai.

Rai’s P.O.V
I sighed. Why can’t life be simple? I mean Dani and Jake are a happy couple. Nat and Max have been reunited. Why can’t Dai and my relationship be like that?
“Cause we’re different from them.” A voice behind me made me look around sharply.
“Dai… leave me alone.” I turned around and walked away from him.
“Rai… wait… please. I need to talk to you.” I turned to him with fury in my eyes.
“Really? You wanna talk to me as who? Dai or Destery?” I hissed and he winced. Remember the boy Destery from long ago? Alex’s brother? He was Destery and the thing is Alex didn’t even know about it.
“Please…” I folded my arms and smirked at him.
“Beg.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
He sighed and I heard him murmur something under his breath.
“What was that? I didn’t hear you.” He grabbed my hand and ran.
“Where are we going?”
“Somewhere where we can talk without you getting angry at me.”
I scoffed. Like that’s gonna happen.

Nat’s P.O.V
I looked at Max as he just sat in the chair next to me holding my hand.
“Max…” He looked up his eyes glistening… He reached up and wrapped me in a bone crushing hug…
“Max… it’s okay…” He pulled back.
“No it’s not. You almost died. Do you know bad a vampire’s state has to be for them to almost die? And you went in a coma last year… It’s all my fault…”
“Max. It’s not your fault. It never will be your fault.” He held my hands.
“Yes it is. If I’d never had agreed to the plan, Mason wouldn’t have came…”
“And you wouldn’t have met me…” I looked back at him and he smiled.
“That’s one good thing that came out of this…” I smiled back and laid on his chest.
“I love you Nat…”
“I love you too Max…” Then I looked at my left ring finger and the gold ring with emeralds surrounding a diamond and smiled more.
“Even after September 16th.”

Dani’s P.O.V.
“Do you think she’ll forgive him?” Jake asked after we walked out of the hospital.
“I think so. Otherwise she’ll find love again.” He scoffed.
“Yeah right. They’re made for each other.” I raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
“Yeah a sadistic bad boy and a teenage mother good girl… they’re perfect.” I said the last part sarcastically.
“Well if she’s a teenage mother she can’t be as good as we think.” I gasped and punched him in his arm.
“You idiot! Take that back!” He groaned and rubbed his arm where I punched him.
“You know, you still act like the Dani before.”
“And you still act like Jake.” I replied smirking a little. He smirked and wrapped his arms around my waist and leaned down.
“Dani…” he whispered.
“Jake…” I whispered back. He leaned down more and was about kissed me when I put my finger on his lips.
“Not today.” I pulled away from him and he groaned.
“Why not?”
“Did you tell your father?”
“…No…” He replied reluctantly
“Well the same time you tell your father we got married in Vegas, I’ll kiss you.” He groaned and I walked away, smiling all the way.

Dai’s P.O.V.
I watched Rai in silence as she smiled and looked over the cliff at the beach.
“Dai, this is… beautiful…” She breathed and looked at me. I shrugged.
“You’ll listen to me now?” She sighed and nodded. I ran my hands through my hair and sighed.
“When I first heard of the plan, I thought nothing of it. It was just something to do and get over with. I thought it would be the easiest job I ever had. When I pretended to be Alex’s brother I thought about killing him but then I found out who he actually was and I couldn’t. Then he told me he wanted me to meet his friend… the most amazing girl he’d ever met. I thought he was joking but then when I saw you… I didn’t even think of that at that time, I was just thinking of how much easier it would be to kill you and then… when I found out I was your new neighbor, I thought that luck really was on my side and then when I found out you had a child, I couldn’t kill you as soon as I thought. Then overtime… I fell in love with you…” I looked up to see her looking away with a blush on her cheeks.
“Still… why didn’t you tell me?”
I scratched the back of my neck. “I didn’t know how… I’m not like Max.” She playfully glared at me but then smiled.
“Yeah, but Max is getting married.” I smiled then remembered why I brought her out here in the first place. I picked her up and jumped off the cliff.
“Dai!! What the hell are you doing?!” I shrugged and prayed that we landed in something soft.

Rai’s P.O.V.
I groaned and sat up. I looked at Dai who was under me holding his arm.
I slapped the same place he was holding and he whimpered in pain.
“That’s what you get for being stupid.” I rolled off of him and looked at the beach and gasped. It was so… amazing. The water was blue and some of it was purple but a light purple and the way the sun reflected off of it was just… awesome.
“You like it?” Dai sat next to me and I stared at him
“Did you jump off the cliff just so we could be down here?” He nodded and looked at his arm.
“Does it still hurt? And we could’ve used the stairs.” I pointed at them and he shrugged.
“It never hurt. And that wouldn’t have been as fun.” I slapped him and walked over to the water and took off my shoes and stuck my feet in.
“That feels so good…” I moaned and relaxed until-
“AAAHH!! DAI!!” I screamed and hit his back as he picked me up and ran along the edge of the water.
“Dai, when I get down I swear…”
“You’ll kiss me?” I growled under my breath and stared at the water.
“We’re here…” He put me down and I looked at the cabin a little above the rocks. It was lined with purple and blue lights and it looked good under the evening sky. I looked back at him.
“First the cliff, then the beach and now this? What’s going on?” He shrugged and looked behind me. I turned around and then turned back when I couldn’t see what he was looking at.
“Dai what are y-” I looked down and stared.
“Rai… you forgive me right?” I nodded silently.
“Then this should be easy… Rai Tamara Casanova… will you marry me?” I nodded and jumped on him.
“Thank God…” He whispered and hugged me.
“I was thinking of saying no at first…” He pulled back and stared at me sadly
“But then… I decided that would be the stupidest thing ever. Now gimme my ring.” He laughed and put it on my ring finger and kissed me.
“I love you…” We both said after we pulled away. He then picked me up bridal-style and carried me into the cabin.
