by Parker, Ali

She pulled in her bottom lip and met my eyes. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. It was stupid and immature. I just wanted your attention.”

“Well, I’ll never give you another reason to do it again. I promise. You’re my girl, and you’re always going to be my girl.”

“Mmm,” she said. “I like the sound of that.” But something was off in her eyes. “I’m just scared things will be different now.”

“They will be,” I said. “They’ll be better than ever if I have anything to do with it.”

Avery gave me a half-hearted smile. “You have no idea how much I like to hear that. I was so scared you were done with me, especially after I slapped you. I still can’t believe I did it. It’s not me. I won’t do it again.”

“You can’t stay hung up on that. You felt like I was out of line, and you did it to protect yourself. It was instincts just as much as my reaction was. I’m okay with that. I just hate the way I responded. I don’t ever want you to think of me as a monster.”

“I couldn’t ever,” she insisted. “You’ve shown me how sweet you are and how you’ll put other people above yourself.”

“You do that too,” I reminded her. “You always put others first. You do it all the time for Clara. And your parents.”

She touched my face. “But I’m still to blame. You’ll never convince me otherwise.”

I tilted my head and searched her eyes. “You must want to fight me,” I said. She wasn’t going to give up.

“No, I won the fight. It’s all my fault.” She gave me a devilish grin.

“You know,” I grabbed her wrists and held them over her head, “bad girls get punished. Do you still want to take the blame?” I had told her once I would give her a spanking, but I was more interested in giving her pleasure.

Her eyes lit up. “Yeah, I’ve been a really bad girl.” She batted her lashes at me and had no idea how incredibly sexy she was.

“I think we’ve both been punished enough, don’t you think? But that doesn’t mean we can’t both have some fun.” I moved down her body, planting kisses as I made it to her tummy. I pulled up her shirt and kissed her. “It’s time I get you naked too.”

She pulled off her shirt as I undid her jeans and slid them down her thighs. She was wearing a soft pink lace beneath them, and I kissed her softly on the front, teasing the elastic with my fingers.

Once I was in, I felt her slick, warm honey. “I’ve missed this too,” I whispered, taking my finger into my mouth for a taste.

She blushed. “I’ve missed this,” she said, reaching down to cup my balls. My erection wept for attention too, and it didn’t take long until she gripped it, stroking it a few pumps with her soft hands.

Avery rose up and took me into her mouth. After a good long taste, I encouraged her back against the pillow by pushing two fingers inside her.

The whole time, I couldn’t stop thinking of how lucky I was. I hadn’t lost her, after all. And not only that, I had another chance to prove myself to her and show her how special she truly was to me.

  Chapter 31

  Avery

It was amazing what Seth could do with his mouth. He had not only worked me through my first orgasm but had brought me to my second. As my body tensed, he didn’t let up, not even when the flood of pleasure consumed me.

I panted loudly, bringing my fingers through his hair as I held him there. I had lost all inhibitions as things were brought to a whole new level between us.

When I pulled my hands away, he rose up smiling, his lips glistening from the task. “Damn, you’re sexy,” he said. He kissed me before I could say the same about him.

His back and powerful arms were enough to make me swoon, and touching him made it all that much better.

“I want you inside of me,” I said, scissoring my legs with desire. The need ached, and only one thing was going to cure it properly.

“Don’t worry. We’re just getting started.” He rose up and captured my ankles with each hand and pulled my legs around him. I rolled myself back, letting my knees fall to the side as he positioned himself between my thighs. He stroked himself and looked into my eyes as he moved forward to rub himself against my slit.

It was just like our first time again, with him being so careful not to hurt me. But when he was settled, I encouraged him to roll over and let me on top.

  “You sure?” he asked.

“Yes,” I said. “Don’t you like it?”

“Fuck yeah,” he said. “I love everything you do. And you can have anything you want.”

That was what I liked to hear. I had loved being on top the last time and quickly found my rhythm as he reached up and played with my nipples.

Just as they grew super tender, he rose up, kissing them, his arms moving around me as I continued to ride him.

He moved us to the edge of his bed, where he began to bounce me, holding me under his thighs so he could thrust his hips. One hand snaked up to caress my breasts, which were bouncing so hard they were slapping together.

I hadn’t tried many positions and was curious about others when that one felt good. I moved back and spun around, sitting with my back to his front, and lowered myself nice and slowly onto his shaft.

It felt a lot different from this direction. It seemed to stretch me wider, his base becoming much thicker, or so it seemed.

I took my time, and Seth didn’t push. “Are you good?” he asked.

“Yes,” I said as he leaned back a little. He finally moved forward again as I settled on his cock and reached around to put his fingers in my mouth.

  It surprised me.

“Suck them,” he whispered. I did as he suggested and realized why when he moved his hand down to play with my clit. It felt amazing. “Oh, you feel good on my dick, baby.” His words were so naughty they brought on different stimulations, and soon, everything was a pleasure.

“You feel amazing inside me.” I continued to ride him, but all of a sudden, his legs tightened, and he rose up, keeping me impaled on his cock. He turned around and put me face down on the bed. I rested on my hands, and he thrust hard behind me, our flesh slapping together as he worked me over.

It was so intense, but I couldn’t stay on my hands for long. As my pleasure increased, they became spaghetti, and I collapsed to the mattress. “Don’t stop,” I said when he hesitated. “Please, don’t ever stop.”

Seth laughed, but it was sort of a half moan too. “You better hurry because I might not be able to hold back.” He was sincere with his word, and as soon as I found my release, he pulled back and shot his load across my back.

The warm jets poured across my silky flesh, like butter melting in a hot skillet.

“Fuck,” he said. “That was close. I tried to hold off as long as I could, but you were milking me so hard. It felt too good.”

He picked up his towel and wiped me up before he rested beside me.

“That was fun,” I said, rolling over to snuggle closer. “Are you sober yet?”

Seth gave me a big grin and brushed a strand of hair from my face. “I’ve never been more awake or alive.” He kissed my shoulder. “We can go again if you want?”

I chuckled. “Easy boy. Give a girl a chance to catch her breath.”

“Take your time. I’m not going anywhere.”

The only thing I was concerned about was him falling asleep before round two. His eyes were gorgeous but also bloodshot, and he had a wild look in his eyes that I knew was from liquid stimulation and not my own.

“At least we have your apartment to be alone in. We can’t do this kind of thing in mine.”

“Why not? It wouldn’t be the first time.”

“Because I’m about to get a roommate.” I thought I’d mentioned it at the hospital, but he gave me a strange look as if he didn’t remember. It made me realize we’d missed so much. I’d missed so much with the coma as well.

Seth rolled over on his back. “As long as it’s not a guy, I’m good with that. Unless y
ou want some dude with no dick and a permanent limp.” He palmed his fist.

I giggled. “It’s Abi. I asked her if she wanted to move in. She’s kicked out of her dorm anyway.” I had a few second thoughts about her, but it wasn’t like I could change my mind.

“I remember now. Clara was talking about that. You should just let her have it.” He rested his hand on my hip. “You could live here with me.”

The suggestion shocked me, but he couldn’t be serious. “Oh? Are we just going to shack up together? You make it sound like it that’s simple.”

“Why can’t it be?” He rose up and reached into the drawer. “I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of things being complicated. I know what I want. I want you and me to be together. We can even get a better place if you want.” He sat up beside me, and when I looked down, I noticed he had a little black box in his hand. “How about it?”

“What’s that?” I asked, feeling my heart thump. Was this a proposal? As much as I loved him, I wasn’t sure this was a good time. Or the right way to do it. I’d always pictured something much more romantic, but then, it was Seth, and none of that really mattered as long as he wanted me.

“I bought this the night we had the wreck. I thought I’d give it to you at the end of the night. I wanted to show you that there’s never going to be another girl for me.”

“You want to marry me?” I didn’t know if I was getting it right or not. What else could it mean? I suddenly felt as if we were going warp speed. It wasn’t a bad thing.

He chuckled. “Yeah, you say it like it’s so hard to imagine. But this is just a promise ring, so no pressure.”

“Oh, well, an engagement would be fine too,” I said. “Regardless, I’m never going to want anyone else either.”

“Good. So, you’ll wear it?” He opened the box and took it out.

The ring inside was simple but pretty, and there were two diamonds nestled together in the setting. “Yes, of course. It’s beautiful.” I offered him my finger, and he slipped it on. It was a perfect fit, but I didn’t bother asking him how he knew it would be.

“Thanks. I thought so too. I didn’t think you’d want anything too flashy, but it’s still feminine.”

“You know me. That’s for sure.”

“Well yes, and that’s what the saleslady told me.” His cheeks turned a darker shade. “So, you will really marry me someday?”

He had to be crazy to think I wouldn’t. “Yeah, probably sooner than you’d want if you asked me.”

“I will ask you. I promise.” He pulled me in close, making love to my mouth as our bodies melted together.

He pulled away, and before I could speak, he took my hand. “I want you to move in,” he said. “Let Abi take your apartment and be with me.”

  “Really? Like right away?”

“Yeah, your parents let Clara move in with Dillon, and she’s not much older, and I’m his age. They got to know me some while you were in your coma.”

“Why didn’t I know that?” I said, laughing at the mental image.

“Because we’ve wasted all this time fighting. I’m surprised Clara didn’t tell you. I beat your mom at cards.”

“You beat Mom at cards? No one ever beats Mom.”

“No one ever beat me but Bryan. It’s the only thing I’m ever lucky at. And it didn’t matter the game. We played Canasta, Gin, and Spades. She even tried to beat me at Go Fish. No luck at all.”

I was sad I missed it. They would all share memories I’d never have, and for that, I was a bit jealous. “I hate that I slept through that. Seems like you fit in better with them than I do.”

“Yeah, well, I thought it was best to keep everyone busy. The first few days, it was so quiet and uncertain.” His eyes closed, and he got a pained look on his face. “I really thought I was going to lose you too. They came in and said that you were getting stronger and doing better. Everyone was so happy, but I was still not sure.”

“Because of what happened with Bryan.” I remembered our conversation just minutes before the wreck.

“At times, we all laughed together, but it didn’t last. We’d look over and see you. Your mom would try to tell you what was going on, and I’ll admit it. A few times, I had to leave the room.”

I didn’t know how to feel about that. I couldn’t help what happened—no one could—but I felt like I had put them all through it.

“Your mom came out and talked to me. I told her about Bryan and what happened and how I was just telling you about it. She listened.”

“Mom’s pretty great actually, when she can keep it together.”

“Well, I kept imagining you and Bryan together, like he was looking over you.”

I wished he had. I wished I had my own story to tell from that time.

Seth chuckled, softening the heavy mood a bit. “Your dad gave me a talk as well.”

I covered my face. “Oh no, you mean like a sex talk or a keep your hands off my daughter talk?”

“No, he just told me how much he loved you and that I better take care of you. He said he fucked up with your mother, and not a day goes by that he doesn’t regret it.”

“Really?” I had never thought my father regretted anything he did. He had moved on to a much happier life from what I could tell, and he didn’t ever burden himself with us other than with his wallet. But now maybe I understood. Maybe it was too painful for my father to be around. To see everything he had lost and everything he’d given up. “He said that?”

“Yeah, but he also told me two things. One, if I ever told anyone that he admitted that, he’d kill me. And two, if I ever hurt you, he’d kill me.”

I burst out with laughter. “I’d love to see him try.”

Seth nudged my leg. “So, what do you think?”

My mind was reeling from processing it all. “I think it’s a big step.”

His chest swelled with a deep breath, which he quickly let out. “Is that a no?”

“Not at all. I just feel like you might be rushing things to hold on to me. You don’t have to do that.” The disappointment was clear on his face, and that was the last thing I wanted. “Don’t get me wrong. I want to move in, and I really hope it’s going to work, but I want you to ask me for the right reasons and because you’ve thought it out.”

“That’s easy. Every night, I wish you were next to me, and every morning, you’re the first thought in my mind. I look around for you, and when you’re not there, I can’t wait to get to you. That’s why this past week and the whole time you were sleeping were hell. I don’t need to think about it, Avery. I have already made up my mind.”

Without a word, I got up from his bed and went to the other room.

“Where are you going?” he asked, getting up to come after me.

When he saw me on my phone, he looked a bit confused. “What are you doing?”

“Calling my dad. If he says it’s okay, I know Mom will agree.”

Seth’s eyes lit up with his smile. “I’ll talk to them if I need to. And tell them you can ride out the lease or whatever needs to happen. I don’t want them to think we’re rushing things.”

“Oh, wait,” I said. “Let me get a picture of my ring. They might as well know how serious we are, right?”

“Just don’t get the fact that we’re both naked. This could turn into another disaster.”

“Oh no, don’t even say that,” I said. “We’re all done with disasters. From here on out, everything is going to be perfect.”

Seth smiled. “As long as we’re together, there isn’t any other way it could be.”

My mother’s voice answered the phone.

  “Hey, Mom.”

  “Hi, honey. Is everything okay?”

“I have something to ask you.” I smiled, already knowing the answer would be yes.

  The End.
