Falling for Agent Cox:A Falling Novel
Page 15
“That was then. This is now.” He tells me and places a gentle, reassuring kiss on my temple. It instantly calms me—and it hits me—he calms my inner beast. He brings out the goodness I have buried deep down.
“How do you do that?” I ask him. Lifting my head off his chest, I rest my cheek in my palm and I look up at him.
“Do what?” His face is laced with confusion.
Sitting up, I spin around and cross my legs. I stare down at him and smile. “Put me at ease with your words. You calm me, Corey. Ave was the only one to ever do that but since I met you, you’ve brought me to life and make me look at things in a different light. You’ve dug deep inside of me and you’re pulling out the best version of me.”
“Kitten, I haven’t done anything. That’s all you. If I remember correctly, you told me to go fuck myself when I first offered you that deal. Sitting here now, I wish I had listened to you,” my face drops at his words, “no, not like that.” He sits up and faces me. We are both naked having a pretty deep conversation right now. “If you hadn’t of agreed to go undercover, you’d be back in the city living a good life. Instead, you’re trapped here because you helped me.”
“And I’d do it again because it was the right thing to do.”
“Your big heart is one of the many things I love about you.” My eyes widen at the mention of love. Sure I have feelings for him, and he does for me, but love, no. No one will ever love me. “If anything, you’ve brought me to life. I now see life in color rather than just black and white.”
“You really are something else, Corey Cox.”
“As are you, Baylor Evans. Now come here, I need to fuck you again.”
And that’s what we do for the rest of the night. I lose count as to how many orgasms he pulls from me but I do know one thing, after last night, I have completely fallen for Agent Cox.

Waking the next morning, I smile when I realize it wasn’t a dream. Baylor and I finally fucked and I can unequivocally say, it was the best night of my life. But what surprises me the most is my feelings for her have grown dramatically in the last twelve hours. She constantly surprises me. Sure, she puts up a bitchy front, but underneath all that is a woman with a beautiful soul who just got lost.
Looking down at her sleeping form, I watch her sleep. She looks so peaceful and content right now.
“Stop staring at me, you creeper,” she huskily says, her voice laced with sleep.
“How did you know I was? Your eyes are closed.”
“I could feel your gaze on me.”
“Can you feel this too?” I ask, rolling to my side, I thrust my morning wood into her thigh but it backfires on me when with her eyes closed, she grips my cock in her hand and begins to stroke. “Fuck me,” I moan and she squeezes me tighter and tighter with each flick of her wrist. “Kitten, if you keep that up, I’m going to come and I would much rather do that inside of you.”
“Mouth or pussy?” she taunts me.
“I don’t care. I just need to be inside you…now.”
Quicker than I’ve ever seen her move, she rolls on top of me and slides down my shaft, impaling herself. She purrs in that sexy way she does when she’s aroused. “Fuck, hurry up, Kitten. I’m ready to burst.”
She rocks her hips back and forth. With one hand, she tugs on her nipple, and with the other, she circles her clit before gently tugging on her piercing. When she does this, I feel her walls tighten around me. “Now,” I grunt and together, the two of us tumble over the orgasmic cliff.
She opens her eyes and stares down at me, “Good morning, Agent Cox.”
I fucking love hearing her call me that. Reaching up, I cup her boob and gently massage the plump mound. “Morning, Ms. Evans,” I say, as I sit up and wrap my arms around her.
“Kitten, my name is Kitten to you.”
“Duly noted.” Leaning forward, I take her nipple into my mouth and suck. She moans and circles her hips, my dick coming back to life even though I just came moments ago. Letting the taut peak pop out of my mouth, I gaze into her vibrant blue eyes. “Should I fuck you again? Or feed you?”
“Fuck, then feed.” Her breathing is heavy. Her hips rocking back and forth, her pace increasing the longer we stare at one another. Her movements are slow and sensual. Our gazes fused to one another as we both rock backward and forward.
“I need more,” she pleads. Leaning forward, I take her nipple into my mouth and suck. Gently biting the tip before sucking again. “Yes,” she mewls, as our movements increase.
She grips my cheeks and slams her lips to mine. Her tongue plunges into my mouth as she rides my cock. Sex just gets better and better with her. She bites my lip and it sets me off, out of nowhere, I erupt inside of her. We haven’t once used a condom but I don’t give a flying fuck. I’d happily have a million kids with Baylor Evans.
“Coooooorey,” she roars as she, too, climaxes.
We stop moving and with my forehead against hers, we both get our breathing under control.
A knock on the bedroom door startles us, “Corey, I need to speak with you,” Charli says.
“Give me a sec!” I shout back.
“Okay, meet me in the kitchen,” she says, and then we hear her footsteps as she walks away.
Baylor and I stare at one another and for the first time in twelve hours, she looks frightened. “What’s wrong, Kitten?”
“It’s nothing,” she denies, but I can tell from the look on her face, it’s something.
“Don’t deny it, missy, it’s written all over your face. What’s wrong?”
“Hearing Charli, it brought me back to reality. I’m in WitSec ‘cause my crazy ex is trying to kill us. After this is over, who knows what will happen.”
“What do you want to happen after all this is over?”
She stares blankly at me. Her mouth opens and closes a few times. “Don’t answer me now. Think about what you want and when you know, let me know.” I cup her cheek in my palm, she snuggles into it and stares at me. “But I will confirm, I want this. I want you. Any way you’ll have me.”
“Naked and on a beach?”
“Sure. After this, I’ll take you to a tropical oasis and we can do exactly that.”
“I’d like that.” She climbs off me. “I’m going to take a shower. You go chat to Charli.” She stands up and grabs her robe. Pulling it on, she looks at me over her shoulder. “And, Corey,” I look up at her, “I want you any way you’ll have me, too.”
Before I can reply, she opens the door and steps into the bathroom across the hall.
Climbing out of bed, I re-dress and head to the kitchen to meet Charli and Dean. Dean looks pissed off. I wonder what’s crawled up his ass but before I can say anything, he pushes his chair back, “I’m doing a perimeter check.” He storms out of the kitchen, slamming the door behind him.
“Was it something I said?” I say to Charli, as I pour myself a coffee.
“Beats me. He needs to pull his head out of his ass and start pulling his weight.”
“What do you mean? He’s doing the perimeter checks, what more should he be doing?”
“Actually checking it for starters, I watched him last night from my room upstairs. He walked down the drive and that’s all he did. He was on his phone, not doing his job. I called him out on it, and now he’s got his panties in a twist.”
“Is that normal for him?” I question, as I take a seat at the dining table across from her.
“Lately, yes. It’s like his mind is elsewhere. Anyway, I wanted to discuss further what we talked about yesterday.”
“What about it?”
“Are you okay with the changes made?”
“I’m fine with it and I think, Bay is too.”
“Bay hey? What happened to Ms. Evans?”
“Ohh, piss off. You know perfectly well that our relationship has changed. It’s…”
“Complicated?” she offers.
“Well, yes that, but I was more thi
nking along the lines of the start of something.”
“No shit,” she scoffs, “I never thought I’d see the day that Corey Cox finds ‘the one’ and focuses on something other than work.” She air quotes ‘the one’ and I find myself grinning when I realize she might be right. From the moment I saw Baylor, I knew she was special. “It’s nice to see you relaxing while us mere mortals are slaving away keeping you safe.”
“Ohh piss off, Davis. This is just as much of a holiday for you as it is for me. It’s not often you get stationed in the woods by a gorgeous lake like this. How did you pull that off?”
“I didn’t. Dean did. He’s the one who planned and signed off on the location and logistics. It was nice to see him step up for a change. Just wish he’d step up now that we’re here.”
“You need to chillax, Charli. Grab a book and sit out on the deck and enjoy the day.”
“Where’s Corey Cox and what have you done with him? The Corey I know is a workaholic, I fully expected you to demand a shift and to be involved in the day-to-day operations while being here.”
I shrug at her. “What can I say, I’m a changed man.”
“I think it has something to do with a certain blonde-haired, blue-eyed chick who is also living here.” She pauses. “It’s nice to see you smiling and relaxed for once.”
“I smile,” I retort.
She laughs at me. “Dude, before, you looked like Arnie in the Terminator movies when he’d smile or like you were constipated. Now, you actually smile, like a normal person.”
“There’s lots to smile about, now.”
She shakes her head, “Whatever the reason, I’m happy. And I’m going to take your advice. I’m going to fill my coffee mug and go sit outside in the sun and read.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
Following her into the kitchen, I grab a mug and fill it up for Baylor. Charli heads outside. Grabbing the tub of taffy and her coffee, I head down to the hallway toward her room.
Stepping inside her room, my heart sinks when I see the window open and no sign of Baylor.

Baylor
With a pep in my step, I skip over to the bathroom. Pulling open the shower door, I reach into the cubicle and turn the faucets on, letting the water heat and steam up the room.
Looking at my reflection in the mirror, I smile. I look well fucked and rested, and it couldn’t be more true. Last night was everything I dreamed it would be and more. Grabbing my toothbrush, I squeeze on some toothpaste and begin brushing. My mind drifts to last night and this morning, and my body comes alive at the memory.
Spitting out, I rinse my mouth and grab some mouthwash. Swishing it around, I climb into the shower where scalding water feels amazing on my body. I haven’t had a workout like that in a very long time. Cox has some stamina, that’s for sure.
Grabbing my bodywash, I lather up. Looking out, I see a silhouette through the frosted glass door. He doesn’t realize I know he’s here so I decide to play with him…and myself. I bend down, like they taught me at the pole dancing class I once took. My ass points in the air. When I straighten back up, I run my hands up my body. He will be able to see what I’m doing, and I hope it’s turning him on as much as it’s turning me on.
Turning to face him, I press myself against the frosted glass, squishing my breasts. The cool glass pebbles my nipples, and I gently tug and an illicit moan slips through my lips. Stepping back, I slide my hands down my body, flicking my clit ring and letting out another groan. I can’t wait any longer, pushing on the door, I poke my head out and my eyes widen, “What the fuck?” I snarl, when I realize that I just did a sexy shower show for Dean.
“He said you were a kinky slut,” he says, gripping his dick.
“Who did?”
“You know who.” I stare at him blankly, I have no fucking clue who he’s referring to but before I can question him further, he turns and leaves me staring at his retreating form. He quietly closes the door behind him. I stare at the wood for a few moments and shake my head in confusion.
Stepping under the spray, I rinse off and step out. Grabbing the fluffy purple towel, I dry off. Realizing I didn’t bring any clothes in with me, I wrap the towel back around me, and step into my bedroom. I quickly pull on my jeans and a purple tank top. Sitting on the edge of the bed, I slip on my, you guessed it, purple Chucks.
After tying the laces, I fall back onto the mattress and sigh. Why was Dean in the bathroom just now? And who was he referring to? Surely Corey wouldn’t have told him about last night, those two hate each other. And their hate is why I will be keeping this little peep show a secret. No good will come from Corey knowing what happened.
The room feels stuffy so I walk over to the window and open it. Looking out, I smile at the gorgeous sunny day before me. I’d love to go sit at the end of the jetty but Charli has forbidden that. Then I remember seeing a swing on the front porch. I grab my Kindle and climb out of the window. I don’t want to run into Dean right now, I’m embarrassed at what he witnessed.
Taking a seat on the swing, I push off and relax back into the cushions. I’m up to the part in Benched where shits gonna hit the fan but before I get to the good part, I hear Corey screaming. He’s yelling that I’ve been taken.
Standing up, I walk to the front door but it’s locked. I can hear them inside so I walk around the side of the cabin and enter through the kitchen.
“He’s taken her!” I hear Corey shout at Charli. “How the fuck did he find us here?”
Charli sees me and relaxes but Cox is still unaware I’m behind him and okay.
“Corey,” Charli says, but he’s in his own head mumbling to himself.
“She’s a fighter. She’s gonna be okay. We’ll find her.” He runs his hands through his hair. Even with his back to me, I can feel the concern radiating off him.
“Cox!” Charli shouts. She steps over to him, grips his chin, and turns his head toward me. His eyes land on mine and they instantly fill with relief.
“Kitten,” he breathlessly says, as he stalks over to me, wrapping me tightly in his arms, and hugging to his chest. “Where were you? I was so scared.” He pulls back and grips my cheeks but before I can answer him, he presses his lips to mine. He breaks the kiss and rests his forehead against mine.
“Calm your tits,” I tell him, “I—”
“Do not tell me to calm my tits.” He steps back from me and runs his fingers through his hair. I’ve noticed he does this when he’s frustrated. “When I walked into your room and saw the window opened and you nowhere in sight, I panicked.”
“Overreact much?”
“Not when there’s a fucking psychopath on the loose trying to kill us both I’m not.”
I can’t help it and I roll my eyes. He shakes his head. “I knew you were trouble when you walked in, but you know what?”
“What?” I quietly whisper, unsure of what he’s about to say.
“The first time I looked into your eyes, I knew underneath your bitchy, snarky exterior was a girl wanting to be loved and be accepted for who she is, warts and all.” He pauses. “No one is perfect, Kitten. I know I’m certainly not, but it’s how we act that decides if we are worthy and you, Baylor Evans, are worthy.”
“You are so full of shit, Cox. You’re perfect, me? Not so much.”
He shakes his head. “If only you could see what I see.”
“What do you see?”
Stepping over to me, he cups my cheek and whispers, “You.”
That one word is laced with so much, no one has spoken to me like this before—ever. No one has said that about ME before. My eyes well with tears. This can’t be my life. This doesn’t happen to people like me. I feel like I’m in a movie, or a dream, right now because this clearly is not real. Never has anyone professed their like for me as Corey just did. Ave? Yes. Me? Nope, no way in hell.
A tear breaks free. He swipes it away with the pad of his thumb. “Why are you crying, Kitten?”
“I…I, no
one has ever said that to me before. I’ve never, I…” I’m really confused right now, hence my gibberish. “Are you sure?”
“Sure about what?”
“That you like me? I think you have blood loss, or you hit your head while we were fucking last night and you have a brain injury.”
He laughs and I find myself laughing with him. “You really are something, Baylor Evans, but I promise you, every word I just spoke is true.”
“Really?”
“Really, really. Now come here and kiss me.”
“You come here and kiss me,” I tease back. Raising my eyebrows at him.
“With pleasure.” He closes the distance between us, grips my cheeks, and presses his lips to mine.
A sniffle from behind us garners our attention. We pull apart and look over at Charli who’s wiping at her eyes. “You all right, Davis?” Corey asks her.
“Yeah, got a bug in my eye. I’m going to get back to my book outside. Leave you two lovebirds alone.” She walks past us, grinning. The door closes behind her and it’s just Corey and me.
“Sooo,” I offer. “What now?”
“Promise me you won’t scare me again like that?”
“Promise. I didn’t mean to scare you, Core.” His smile widens suddenly. “Why are you grinning like the cat who caught the canary?”
“You called me Core.”
“And?” I ask him, genuinely confused right now.
“I usually hate when people call me Core, but when you say it, I kinda like it.”
“Look at us, evolving. I like it when you call me Kitten and you like me calling you Core. Kitten and Core, a match made in WitSec.”
“Leave the WitSec part out and it’s perfect.”
“My life hasn’t been perfect in a very long time.”
“Well, Kitten, this is only just the beginning.”

Baylor
…five weeks later
Time is somehow flying by but at the same time, it’s dragging on. Corey and my relationship is moving along in leaps and bounds. I’ve never been in a relationship like this before. He’s so attentive but more than that, he can read me like a book. He knows when I’m down and he knows exactly how to turn my frown upside down.
