Grandmaster Chacha had not shown up either. He must have been met with an accident.

“What… What do you want to do? Let me tell you, I’m the Second Young Master of the Luo family. If you dare lay a finger on me, the Luo family will not forgive you.

“Go away from here at this instant. If you fire Yutong, I swear I won’t give you any more trouble.”

Tang Hao chuckled, then took another step forward.

“Luo Feng, aren’t you aware of your situation now? Everyone else might be afraid of the Luo family, but I’m not! Yutong is an employee of my company, and no one shall lay a finger on her. Understand?

“As for you, you wanted to kill me. I can’t forgive you just like that… Don’t worry though, I won’t kill you. It’ll be very troublesome if I did.”

Luo Feng was arrogant again when he heard that. “Even you know that the Luo family isn’t a pushover. Grandmaster Chacha isn’t the only shaman I know. The Luo family has connections with many shamans, and they’re all more powerful than Grandmaster Chacha. You’ll be dead if you lay a finger on me.”

Tang hao smirked. “I won’t kill you, but I’ll ruin you. You can be an unthinking dummy.”

Then, his body flashed and appeared in front of Luo Feng, then touched his forehead with a finger.

Luo Feng’s body stiffened and his eyes went dull. His body wobbled, then fell backward.

Tang Hao glanced at him coldly, his face was impassive.

If he were alone, he would not have been afraid of the Luo family. Now that he had his own company and Sis Xiangyi is with him, he needed to be a little more cautious.

If he had killed Luo Feng, the Luo family would not spare him.

He would rather turn Luo Feng into a dummy as a warning for the Luo family.

He grunted gently, then turned around and leaped out of the window, disappearing into the night sky.

Chapter 135 - Giving Out Talismans

When Tang Hao returned to the mansion, he immediately went to the bedroom to check.

  Sis Xiangyi was sleeping soundly.

Tang Hao smiled gently when he saw the calm, peaceful sleeping face. He felt like he was at home.

He returned to the living room and continued where he left off.

Tang Hao was crafting jade talismans when Grandmaster Chacha came. Those were not offensive talismans like before, but instead defensive talismans.

He had the idea of crafting defensive talismans when Ma Fangfang got into trouble. He wanted to protect the people he cared for.

Eleven of the twelve blood jade beads he owned were defensive Artifacts. He gave one to Sis Xiangyi, and now he only had ten left. He could give them to ten other people.

He had more than ten people that he cared for.

He had thought of producing similar Artifacts, but the process of making one was incredibly difficult. It was almost impossible to gather all the ingredients, and it was very risky to craft them. Crafting jade talismans was a more convenient thing to do.

A defensive jade talisman was like a one-time use Artifact. It can protect its bearer automatically. If one carried multiple talismans, the effect would be the same as an Artifact.

With the jade talismans, there was no need to constantly worry about those people he cared for.

Tang Hao stilled his heart and continued carving runes on the jade pieces.

A pile of jade talismans formed next to him. At sunrise, he had already crafted thirty-something pieces.

“If I give one piece to each person, that should be enough. I should make more in the future,” Tang Hao mumbled to himself.

After breakfast, Tang Hao gave a call to Liu Dajun and the others and asked them to meet at Sunshine Plaza at nine o’clock.

Then, he rode on his little three-wheeled motorcycle and went to Dragonrock Village.

He first went to his maternal grandparents’ house to deliver them a jade talisman each, then reminded them that they should carry it with them always.

After tending to his secret plantation, Tang Hao went to Sunshine Plaza and gave Liu Dajun and the others one jade talisman each.

“What’s this, Lil Tang?” President Li took the jade talisman and scrutinized it. He had never seen anything like that before.

“That’s good stuff, Big Bro Li. You’ll need to remember to carry it with you at all times. It can save your life at crucial times,” Tang Hao said.

“It can save my life?” President Li was a little suspicious.

Liu Dajun’s eyes sparkled. He excitedly looked at the jade talisman in his hand.

He knew that Tang Hao possessed supernatural powers. If he said that the talisman could save his life, he must be telling the truth!

“This is good stuff!” Liu Dajun said excitedly, then he turned to speak to President Li. “Hey, Ol’ Li, if you don’t want that, you can give it to me!”

“Pah!” President Li’s mouth broke into a grin. “Don’t you already have one? Don’t have any ideas of mine! Whatever Lil Tang gives must be good stuff.”

He grasped the talisman tightly in case Liu Dajun wanted to snatch it.

“Heheh! Hey, Lil Tang, do you have any more of this stuff? Give me a few more pieces, I’ll pay you for them. A hundred thousand yuan each- no, a million yuan each!” Liu Dajun said to Tang Hao.

President Li, President Huang, and the others were shocked.

They knew that whatever Tang Hao gave them must be something amazing, but they were still shocked by Liu Dajun’s offer of a million yuan.

‘Can this thing actually save my life?’ Everyone was thinking of the same thing.

All of them were wealthy people. Without any care for money, the most precious thing to them would be their lives. A million yuan to save one’s life was too cheap.

“Are you sure this can save my life, Lil Tang? Give me a few more pieces too!”

“Me too, Lil Tang! Don’t forget about your Big Bro Huang!”

They jostled among each other excitedly to be the first one in line.

“Hey, what are you all doing? Don’t fight with me! I’m the one who asked first! You all can step aside,” Liu Dajun said angrily.

“Ahem!” Tang Hao coughed and waved for attention.

“Well… You don’t have to fight each other. I don’t have any extra jade talismans with me now, but I will have more of them soon. You don’t have to worry,” Tang Hao said.

“Yes, there’s no rush! No rush at all!” President Li and the rest said hurriedly.

‘This is good stuff!’ The bosses’ eyes were sparkling as they had a newfound opinion on the jade talismans. They carefully kept it close to themselves.

“Oh, right! Lil Tang, I’ve heard that someone was looking for trouble yesterday. It’s that Second Young Master Luo,” President Li said during their conversation.

“Yes, that happened, but it’s settled now. No need to worry,” Tang Hao said with a smile.

“That Second Young Master Luo is a difficult person to deal with. I’ve heard of him when I used to live in Provincial City,” Liu Dajun said.

“Lil Tang, remember to tell me if anything happens to you. Luo Enterprises is big, but I know some people who can handle them. It won’t be that easy if they want to bring down our company.”

  “Got it, Big Bro Liu!”

They chatted for a while more before Tang Hao went downstairs.

Tang Hao saw Ma Fangfang in the foyer.

Ma Fangfang was chatting happily with a few other sales clerks. Her smile was bright and charming, seemingly unperturbed by the earlier incident.

She was in her work uniform, the hip skirt and black pantyhose accentuated the curves of her body. The light make-up on her face made her look beautiful and classy.

Ma Fangfang was surprised when she saw Tang Hao.

The other sales clerks looked at her understandingly and scattered.

“Tang Hao!” Ma Fangfang called him softly. Her cheeks blushed bright red.

Tang Hao walked over and pla
ced a blood jade bead into her hands.

“This… You should take this! Remember to wear it with you always. Don’t take it off ever. It can protect you!” Tang Hao said softly.

Ma Fangfang was a little surprised when she saw the bead in her palm.

“Alright, I’ll be leaving!” Tang Hao smiled at her, then headed toward the exit.

He bore complicated emotions toward Ma Fangfang. He could not say that he liked her, but he did not wish to see any harm come to her. That was why he gave her a blood jade bead.

Back in his company, Tang Hao met Han Yutong in her office.

Han Yutong’s brows were locked tight. She was worried about something.

“Have you heard it, President Tang? Something weird happened at the factory last night. All the security guards mysteriously passed out, and there was gasoline poured all over the place. Fortunately, nothing bad happened.

“Luo Feng must be behind this. He’s trying to bring our company down.”

Tang Hao sat down and said, “Don’t worry, Assistant Han. I think the Luo family will be busy with their internal affairs.”

Han Yutong was surprised and looked at Tang Hao doubtfully.

“You have to be careful though,” Tang Hao said, “I’m afraid that the Luo family will target you. That’s why I’ve prepared this for you.”

He retrieved a blood jade bead and handed it to her.

“Remember, always wear this, and never take it off,” Tang Hao reminded her.

The Luo family must be investigating what happened to Luo Feng. They would relate his mishap to yesterday’s incident. That was why he gave her a blood jade bead.

He would not have to be that worried about her.

  “This is…?” Han Yutong wondered.

“It’s an amazing thing! You’ll just have to wear it!” Tang Hao smiled at her.

After work, Tang Hao went to First High and gave Yan’er a blood jade bead. Then, Tang Hao finally was at ease.

Chapter 136 - Someone Abducted Taoist Master Chang Qing

Another few days passed in the blink of an eye.

Tang Hao crafted many jade talismans in those days and sold them to Liu Dajun and the other bosses. To meet the demand, he went to the jade market several times and bought up almost all the high-quality jade.

Tang Hao made quite a lot of money from selling those talismans. He sold each piece for five hundred thousand yuan, earning him several ten million in a few days.

There was no news from the Luo family.

Luo Feng was an underhanded person. He must have made a lot of enemies, and the Luo family might not immediately suspect him for what happened to their Second Young Master.

He continued learning pill-making techniques in those days.

To gather materials for pill-making, he went around to look for medicinal herbs and even asked Liu Dajun and the other bosses to source certain hard-to-find ingredients for him.

He kept the medicinal herbs he gathered in his pocket dimension and sorted them by category.

Even so, Tang Hao could only complete just a few pill recipes. Making each pill required a variety of ingredients, and many of the ingredients were already extinct or critically endangered in modern times.

There was only one solution to the problem: Alter the pill recipe.

That was easier said than done. Every pill recipe was the result of many years of experimentation and had withstood the test of time. He could only attempt that he attained a higher level of cultivation.

Late at night, at the rooftop of a building.

Tang Hao sat with his legs crossed. In front of him was an alchemist’s furnace that was burning brightly.

Tang Hao placed the ingredients into the furnace one by one while controlling the intensity of the flame. The flames would distill the ingredients to produce a pure medicinal liquid.

He could then combine the liquids and reduce them into an alchemical pill.

It was not easy to make a single pill. Problems could easily happen at every step of the process. His furnace had blown up many times ever since he started practicing, and he had wasted many precious medicinal ingredients.

Fortunately, he became a little more proficient in pill-making every time he failed.

After putting all the ingredients into the furnace, Tang Hao began distilling the medicinal liquid. This time, he succeeded. All his past failures were at this step.

Tang Hao was elated. He calmed himself down and controlled the flame even tighter.

About twenty minutes later, the pill was complete.

He carefully inspected the pill that was about the size of a longan. It was white in color and was enveloped in faint light. A light fragrance wafted from it. He brought it close to his nose and found that the fragrance was stimulating.

“This is a good pill!” Tang Hao exclaimed excitedly.

The pill was called a Jade Bone Pill. It was his first success.

The Jade Bone Pill was a pill suitable for women who wanted to enhance their appearance. After taking it, the pill could alter one’s physical structure, as if bestowing the person skin of ice, bone of jade, and an enchanting fragrance.

Tang Hao beheld the pill for a while before keeping it.

Then, he continued with making more pills.

This time, he did not make a Jade Bone Pill. Instead, he made a Qi Restoration Pill.

As its name suggests, one could have their qi restored after taking the pill. It was essential for prolonged battles.

He failed a few more times, then finally had his first success.

When the sun came up, he only managed to successfully make three pills.

He went back to the mansion. Sis Xiangyi woke up when he was done preparing breakfast.

  “You didn’t sleep again!”

“I didn’t! I was busy practicing!” Tang Hao said.

After breakfast, Tang Hao retrieved the Jade Bone Pill and gave it to Sis Xiangyi.

  “This is for you!”

“What’s this?” Qin Xiangyi was curious.

“It’s an alchemical pill. The effects are miraculous, it’s even more potent than the beauty cream,” Tang Hao said.

  “Really?” Qin Xiangyi was surprised.

“You’ll know it after you try!” Tang Hao smiled.

“I’ll try it then. You’d better not lie to me!” Qin Xiangyi took the pill and smelled it. “It smells so nice!”

Then, she put the pill into her mouth and swallowed it.

“I don’t feel anything!” She said gingerly.

“Just wait a bit!” Tang Hao smiled.

A few minutes later, Qin Xiangyi exclaimed in surprise. She saw a thick mud-like substance oozing out of the fair skin of her arms.

“What’s going on, Lil Tang?” Qin Xiangyi was panicking.

“It’s fine. That’s the sign that your body is cleansing itself and expelling the impurities. You’ll just have to take a shower later,” Tang Hao explained.

About fifteen minutes later, she could not tolerate the ooze on her body anymore. She ran into the bathroom.

Soon, the sound of flowing water was heard.

Qin Xiangyi came out of the bathroom half an hour later. She was wrapped in a towel.

“This is amazing, Lil Tang! Look at this, my skin has transformed completely!”

Qin Xiangyi lifted both of her arms ecstatically and admired them.

Even she could not believe that the pill had such miraculous effects. She felt as though she had stepped into a new body. Her skin became smooth and delicate, as though made of jade and ice.

  “It smells nice too!”

She walked in front of Tang Hao and spun around bashfully. “Look, have I become prettier?”

Tang Hao was cross-eyed when he looked at her. Qin Xiangyi was already a beautiful woman. After taking the pill, she became even more beautiful, as though she had stepped out from a dream.

“Oh! You’re too beautiful!” Tang Hao praised her from his heart.

  Qi
n Xiangyi chuckled happily. Suddenly, she leaned over, hugged Tang Hao, and whispered into his ear. “Why aren’t you carrying me into the room, silly?”

Tang Hao lifted her with his arms and went into the bedroom.

After a round of intense activity, Tang Hao saw Sis Xiangyi off at the door. He then rode on his little three-wheeled motorcycle and was preparing to go to Dragonrock Village when his phone started ringing.

He took it out and saw that it was from Shabby Taoist Master.

“I wonder if he wants more jade talismans!” Tang Hao mumbled.

Shabby Taoist Master had asked him about buying more jade talismans back then, though they were never in contact after their meeting.

“Hey, Taoist Master! Is there anything?” Tang Hao said.

“Hey kid, are you free these couple of days?” Shabby Taoist Master said seriously over the phone.

Tang Hao noticed the difference in his tone of voice. “What’s wrong, Taoist Master?”

Shabby Taoist Master was instantly furious. “It’s that Chang Qing. He got abducted!”

Tang Hao was shocked and did not know what to say.

Taoist Master Chang Qing might be the least powerful among them, but he was nonetheless a cultivator. Who would be so brazen or so powerful to abduct him?

  Chapter 137 - You Don’t Have Integrity

“What happened? How did Taoist Master Chang Qing get into trouble?” Tang Hao asked with a grim face.

Shabby Taoist Master sighed and said, “It’s a long story. A bunch of Westerners abducted him.”

  “Westerners?” Tang Hao was surprised.

“That’s right, Westerners!” Shabby Taoist Master said angrily.

“Cultivators from the West?” Tang Hao said.

He had heard Shabby Taoist Master mention before about Westerner cultivators. They were also known as shamans, but they were entirely different from the shamans from Nanyang.

“No. If they’re cultivators, they wouldn’t have kidnapped him. They’re famous monsters from the West. Werewolves, that is,” Shabby Taoist Master said.
