The voice belonged to the owner of the mansion as well as the president of Yu Lin Group, Han Chenglin.
Tang Hao furrowed his brows as he looked toward the source of the voice.
That side of the front hall had a door that led to a garden. Two figures appeared at that door and were walking in.
The person in front was a man of about fifty years of age. He was dressed in a black cocktail suit. He stood tall and straight, and looked elegant and gentle upon further inspection.
Behind him was a young man in a white cocktail suit. He was not very handsome, though he carried a distinguished aura.
“Isn’t that the Young Master of Long Jiang Group?”
Everyone’s eyes swept past Han Chenglin and fell on the young man.
Long Jiang Group was about the same size as Yu Lin group. Xu Xiangdong, Long Jiang Group’s Young Master, was quite famous in Provincial City.
Han Chenglin stepped into the front hall with furrowed brows.
He knew that his daughter was raising a fuss again.
“What’s going on?” he said loudly while sweeping his eyes around. Then, his gaze froze when he saw the figure near the entrance.
Behind him, Xu Xiangdong was also shocked when he saw the woman. He could not look away.
“You are… Yutong?” Han Chenglin said incredulously.
He knew that his daughter was not rich. How could she dress up so extravagantly?
Behind him, Xu Xiangdong’s eyes sparkled and burned with passion.
“You’re here, Yutong!” Han Chenglin smiled. Then, his expression froze as he turned to see Tang Hao standing beside her.
His gaze turned sinister when he noticed that they were holding hands.
He invited Han Yutong to introduce her to the Young Master of Long Jiang Group. However, she had taken the liberty to bring someone with her. That had spoiled his plans.
Chapter 193 - Human Scum Indeed
Han Chenglin narrowed his eyes.
He did not enjoy that feeling at all.
The last time, he had introduced Han Yutong to the Second Young Master of the Luo family. Second Young Master Luo was impressed with her, but he did not expect that his daughter rejected his advances, and even ran away from home and Provincial City.

He walked over with big strides and asked sternly. “Who is he, Yutong?”
Before Han Yutong could reply, Tang Hao smiled and opened his mouth. “My name is Tang Hao.”
“Tang?” Han Chenglin was surprised. He thought for a while and replied nonchalantly, “I’ve never heard of you before. Where are you from?”
“Westridge District. Ever heard of it?” Tang Hao said.
“Westridge? Oh, I remember now! Isn’t that a little backwater district in the south?” Xu Xiangdong shouted. His tone of voice was full of disdain.
A small district like Westridge District was nothing more than a village in his eyes.

“But Dad!” Han Lu said frustratedly, “He’s the one who caused all this! You’ve got to throw him out! And her too! I don’t want to see either of them!”
Han Chenglin was at his wit’s end. “Behave, Lulu! She’s your elder sister. Also, anyone who comes here is our guest. It would be discourteous to throw anyone out of the party!”

Han Lu stamped her foot in anger. She glared at Han Yutong and Tang Hao angrily, then left the scene.

Soon, music started playing again and the hall resumed its previous cheer.
Servants came into the front hall with a tray of hors d’oeuvres and other delicacies. Other servants came in with trays filled with wine glasses. They walked deftly amid the crowd of guests.
Tang Hao stood on the spot while holding Han Yutong’s petite and soft hand. He felt sorry for her.

Tang Hao was speechless.
He turned around and said, “How about we go home? We’ve already shown them that you’re no pushover, and you’ve carried out your revenge!”

After she spoke, she went to one of the tables, picked up a piece of cake, and took a big bite.

They ate their fill, then sneaked out of the front hall and went into the garden. They found a
quiet corner and sat down.
“Thank you for tonight, President Tang! I’m really happy!”
Suddenly, Han Yutong turned her head over and stared unblinkingly at Tang Hao.
Her eyes sparkled brightly.
“No need to thank me. It’s what I should do! Don’t forget that I’m your boss!” Tang Hao said with a smile.
Han Yutong covered her mouth and smiled.
Her sparkling eyes brightened the night sky.
‘I wish I had met you sooner, President Tang!” She mumbled abruptly.
“It’s not too late though!” Tang Hao said.
Han Yutong was surprised. She smiled and nodded. “That’s right! It’s not too late at all!”
Suddenly, she leaned over, closed her eyes, and left a kiss on Tang Hao’s cheek.
Tang Hao’s entire body stiffened.
“What are you doing?”
“Thanking you!” Han Yutong chuckled happily, then stood up. “Alright, I’m going to the bathroom for a while. Wait for me!”
Then, she walked toward the mansion.
Tang Hao touched his cheek as he saw her leave. The warmth of the kiss seemed to linger on his cheek.
“Is that how you thank someone?” Tang Hao mumbled, feeling a little guilty.
He waited at the spot, but she did not return.
He frowned. Something seemed to be amiss.
He looked at his wristwatch. Han Yutong was gone for more than five minutes. It might have been troublesome for her to use the toilet in her evening gown, or she might need to retouch her makeup. Still, it was too long.
“Something’s wrong!”
He immediately stood up and walked back into the mansion.
