He sucked in a mouthful of cold air. His eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.

He was a veteran among hitmen with many kills to his name, and he was generally not afraid of anything. However, the encounter had scared him. His entire body started trembling.

  “Is… Is he really… a ghost?”

He swallowed with some difficulty, and his face turned pale.

Then, still trembling with fear, he slowly turned around and nearly fainted.

The kid who was on the street earlier was right behind him, staring at him with a grin on his face.

‘How is this possible?’ He was thoroughly confused. He was even thinking that he might have gone mad/ Otherwise, he could not find a plausible explanation.

The kid was still on the street less than a minute earlier. Then, he had silently appeared behind the hitman.

“Are you… a ghost?” He yelled out in panic.

“You’re the ghost!” Tang Hao said while slapping his face.

The slap had thoroughly dumbfounded the hitman. He fell on the floor pathetically.

He finally understood that the kid was not a normal person, but rather someone who possessed supernatural powers.

He immensely regretted accepting the mission, but he had no tears.

He felt as though he was being pushed into a trap. No, he had voluntarily jumped into the trap.

Chapter 200 - Bringing Down the Xu Family

In the Xu family mansion on the outskirts of Provincial City, Xu Jianghai was restless.

He was getting impatient. Earlier, his son left the house to attend a dinner party. He was beaten up badly and even arrested by the police.

  That had angered him greatly.

He only had one son whom he spoiled, never laying a finger on him. However, someone beat him up at the dinner party.

He knew that the perpetrator was connected to the He family, but that had not stopped his thirst for revenge.

The He family would be helpless against him if he hid his tracks.

Right now, he was waiting for the good news from the hitman.

He looked at his watch. It was already one and a half hours since the hitman had accepted the mission, but there was no news yet.

“I can still wait. Maybe he hasn’t found the perfect opportunity yet!” He mumbled as he looked at his phone.

At that moment, a black car appeared outside of the mansion and stopped at the entrance.

“Who is it?” Two bodyguards yelled as they stepped closer to the steel gate.

Soon, a car door opened and a man flopped out of it. He was dressed in black, and his head was swollen like a pig’s head. It was a pathetic sight.

The two bodyguards were shocked. They ran away and activated the alarm.

The entire mansion was immediately alerted. Bodyguards came rushing to the entrance.

Xu Jianghai was a ruthless businessman. He had offended many parties on his road to riches. That was why he did not spare any expense on security.

  “What’s going on?”

Xu Jianghai, in his room on the third floor, stood up and went next to the window to see.

The window faced directly toward the mansion’s entrance. He could see everything from there.

He saw the figure curled up next to the car and had an uneasy feeling.

Then, he saw another figure exit the car. He was a teenager in a trim business suit.

After he got out of the car, he loosened his tie and cracked his neck. Then, he lifted his head and looked toward the window. His gaze was as sharp as a sword.

Xu Jianghai was shocked when he saw that.

  ‘What’s going on?’

If he was not mistaken, the kid was the individual who had beaten up his son. Why would he be at the Xu family mansion though?

Xu Jianghai looked incredulous. ‘Didn’t I send a hitman to take care of him?’

Still shocked, he took a closer look at the figure who was curled up on the ground.

‘Isn’t that… the hitman?’ He thought as he sucked in a mouthful of cold air. ‘Oh my god! Who the hell is this kid?’

He could not believe everything that was happening.

The hitman whom he sent to kill the kid was defeated, and the kid had found his way to his house.

While he was still in a daze, Tang Hao stepped up to the entrance of the mansion and kicked at the steel gate.

The security guards at the gate started laughing.

‘Does he think he can kick the gate open? The steel gate is strong enough to withstand a car crash! This kid must be insane! Does he want to look for trouble here? He’ll be just wasting his time. He won’t even get past the entrance.’

The foot landed on the door and caused a loud bang.

Everyone’s jaw dropped when they saw the gate being kicked open.

No one said a peep when the steel gate fell. The bodyguards’ eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.

“Oh my god! Is he even human?” Someone screamed in panic.

Some other people appeared to be scared and looking for a way to escape.

‘Kicking open a steel gate with one kick? This kid is inhuman!’

“Hold it right there! This is private property. Trespassing is a crime!” Someone shouted.

“Get out of my way!” Tang Hao roared.

“Stop him!” A bodyguard shouted. Then, many people rushed forward with stun batons.

“Tsk!” Tang Hao found it very troublesome. Then, he flicked his wrists and rushed toward the bodyguards.

In less than three minutes, the bodyguards were all sprawled on the floor. They were curled in the fetal position and wailed in pain.

Tang Hao grunted, then went to the front door of the mansion and kicked it open.

Meanwhile, in the room on the third floor, Xu Jianghai’s legs were trembling and his face was pale as a sheet.

‘Oh my god! Just who is that kid? Is he even human?’

He became even more afraid when he heard the cries of pain coming from the floors below.

“No, I have to call the police!”

He pounced at his phone. Just when he was going to dial the number, the room door was kicked open with a bang.

Xu Jianghai cried out in surprise. He retreated toward the wall.

“You… Don’t you dare come any closer!” He yelled in panic. “I’m the president of Long Jiang Group, and I’m well-connected in the police force. You’ll be dead if you lay a finger on me.”

Tang Hao narrowed his eyes and stepped closer.

“I would’ve considered the matter settled after your son was arrested, but you just had to send a hitman to kill me. I can’t forgive you for that!”

“Don’t… Don’t kill me!” Xu Jianghai shrieked in panic.

“Kill you? There’s no need to!” Tang Hao grunted coldly. “Killing you would have been too easy. I want you to suffer a fate worse than death, and at the same time bring the Long Jiang Group to ruin.”

Then, he flicked his wrist and a small pill appeared in his palm.

He pinched Xu Jianghai’s jaw and tossed the pill into his mouth.

“What… What did you feed me?” Xu Jianghai said fearfully.

“Don’t worry. The pill is like a truth serum. When the police arrive later, you can tell them all the evil things that you did.”

Then, Tang Hao gently patted his shoulder and channeled a gust of hidden qi into his body, just like what he did to Xu Xiangdong.

It would have been too easy if he had killed Xu Jianghai. Furthermore, if Xu Jianghai died, someone would take over his position and continue to enact revenge on Tang Hao. Things would be incredibly troublesome if that were the case.

It would be more thorough to ruin the Xu family and Long Jiang Group so that he need not worry about any future troubles from them.

“Cough cough!” Xu Jianghai bent over and stuck a finger into his throat, trying to dig the pill out.

Tang Hao ignored him. He took the phone and called the pol
ice.

He threw the phone away, then turned around and prepared to leave.

“Wait. I’ll have to collect some interest!” He stopped walking, then turned around and beat up Xu Jianghai. Then, he clapped his hands and left, satisfied.

Once he was out of the mansion, he took out his phone, gave a call to Vice Governor He, and told him everything about the Xu family, asking him to conduct a thorough investigation.

After receiving a confirmation from Vice Governor He, Tang Hao returned to Qin Gang’s house.

“F*ck me! What’s going on, Younger Brother-in-law? I’ve never seen you dress up so properly!” Qin Gang exclaimed in surprise when he saw Tang Hao in his new business suit.

“It’s nothing. I went to attend a dinner party.”

Tang Hao returned to his room and gave Sis Xiangyi a call.

He had stayed in Provincial City for two days, and he missed Sis Xiangyi very much.

After the call, he booked a train ticket to return to Westridge District the next day.

  Chapter 201 - : Going to College

  : Going to College

Tang Hao received a phone call early the next morning.

The call was from Vice Governor He Changshun.

“Hey, Lil Bro Tang! You made some big waves last night.”

“What’s up?” Tang Hao was surprised.

He Changshun laughed drily. “Haven’t you heard? Xu Jianghai dropped a bombshell last night! The police officers who were dispatched to the Xu family mansion were all dumbstruck.

“That Xu Jianghai looked like he was possessed. He confessed to everything he had done over the past years. Murder, bribery, and even rape. The police officers could not believe it.

“Now, even the Province Headquarters is involved. They’ll be conducting a thorough investigation soon.

“Xu Jianghai never had a good reputation. We’ve been wanting to nab him for a long time, but unfortunately, there hasn’t been sufficient evidence. Now is the perfect chance to bring him to justice. His Long Jiang Group is also heavily involved in criminal activities and it looks like it’ll be shut down. Also, many of his family members will be arrested too.

“As for you, I’ve covered all your tracks. The police won’t be looking for you. That should save you a lot of trouble.”

  “Thanks!” Tang Hao said gratefully.

“Don’t mention it. I should be the one thanking you! It’s all because of you that Xu Jianghai is brought to justice!” He Changshun laughed heartily.

He paused for a moment, then continued as though he had remembered something. “Right, I’ve also heard that your company is doing very well now! Bizhi Weight Loss Tea, right? I’ve heard of that product before.”

“It’s not bad!” Tang Hao said with a smile.

“You’re an accomplished young man, Lil Bro Tang! Have you given a thought to my suggestion earlier?”

“What was it again?” Tang Hao was surprised.

“Going to college!” He Changshun said, “Don’t tell me you forgot about it?”

  “Ah!” Tang Hao remembered.

On the day he had saved Old Master He’s life, He Changshun had mentioned about him going to college over dinner. Tang Hao said that he was going to think about it because he was busy with starting the company back then.

Now that the company was established with a strong foundation, there was nothing much for him to micromanage.

He briefly considered Vice Governor He’s offer again. He was used to an undisciplined life, and he might not be able to keep up with scheduled classes every day. Furthermore, he could not leave Westridge District for too long. He still had the plantation to tend to!

Also, studying at Provincial City meant that he had to part with Sis Xiangyi for long periods. He would need to ask for her opinion first.

He raised his concerns with He Changshun.

He Changshun thought about Tang Hao’s concerns for a while. “Those aren’t difficult problems. If I can put you in college, then I can also solve these small problems for you.

“You don’t have to be in class all the time. Just remember to show up once in a while. Of course, I can’t help you with your exams. So, what do you think?”

  “Well…” Tang Hao hesitated.

He Changshun smiled. “What are you still worried about? You’ve accomplished so much at such a young age, and you ought to go to college to elevate your status. It’ll bolster your reputation when your company becomes world-renowned.

“I can find you a spot at Z University if you like. Of course, they’re a little stricter, and it will be a little more troublesome.”

  Tang Hao was finally convinced.

Not being able to go to college was one of his biggest regrets.

When he was alive, his father used to be strict to him, exhorting him to study hard so that he could go to college so that he could have a better future.

Now that he was accomplished in his career, he had not gone to college yet.

  “Alright!” Tang Hao agreed.

He Changshun laughed heartily. “That was easy, right? So, which college do you want to go to? Z University then? It’s a prestigious university, and getting a degree from there will add a lot of weight to your reputation.”

“Sounds good. Sorry for troubling you!”

“Don’t mention it. I haven’t repaid you the debt of gratitude! My father has been very healthy lately. He even went hiking a few days ago!” He Changshun laughed.

“Getting you a spot at Z University will need some time. I’ll let you know when it’s done,” he continued.

  “Alright!” Tang Hao replied.

After the call ended, Old Master Luo’s phone call arrived not too long after.

“You’re amazing, Grandmaster Tang! Xu Jianghai is finished thanks to you.” Old Master Luo’s tone of voice sounded emotional.

“You flatter me, Old Master Luo!”

Old Master Luo smiled. “Should I lend you a hand in bringing down the Xu family a little faster? I can apply some pressure to the companies of the Yang family and the Wu family too.”

Tang Hao raised a curious eyebrow when he heard that. ‘This Old Master Luo knows what I’m thinking!’

“Alright, that’ll count as the second favor then!” Tang Hao said.

“Alright! How about the Han family too? They’re a little harder to handle though.”

“The Han family? There’s no need. I’ll deal with them myself!” Tang Hao said.

  “I see. That works!”

Then, Old Master Luo ended the call.

Later, Tang Hao rode on the train to return to Westridge District.

He arrived at the Westridge District station. Once he stepped outside, he saw a bright red sports car parked by the roadside waiting for him.

Standing next to the car was an extremely beautiful and charming woman. She was none other than Qin Xiangyi.

The beautiful woman and the sports car had attracted the attention of everyone on the street.

  “Lil Tang!”

Qin Xiangyi’s eyes sparkled when she saw him. She walked up to him and they exchanged hugs.

They got into the car. “Looks like I’ll have to get my car soon. I wouldn’t want to always trouble you!” Tang Hao said.

“It’s no trouble at all,” Qin Xiangyi said while giving him a side-eye, “Still, you ought to get yourself a new ride. What car do you want?”

“I haven’t thought of it yet, but I don’t want something too flashy,” Tang Hao said after pondering the question, “Something low-profile will do. It shouldn’t be too expensive either.”

“That opens you up to a lot of choices,” Qin Xiangyi said.

“I’ll make my choice when I’m at the showroom then… Right, there’s something else I want to tell you,” Tang Hao announced seriously.

“What’s up?” Qin Xiangyi was surprised.

“I’ve told you before that I’m connected to one of the high-ranking government officials in the province, right?
He says that he can put me in college. It’s Z University!” Tang Hao said.

Qin Xiangyi was shocked, then, she looked happy. “Isn’t that good news? It’s Z University, one of the best colleges in the country!”

Then, she furrowed her brows. “Well, the bad news is that we won’t be seeing each other every day.”

“That’s not a problem. I don’t have to go to class every day, just make sure that I show up once in a while. That means I can commute to Provincial City occasionally,” Tang Hao said.

“That’s the best arrangement!” Qin Xiangyi smiled mischievously. “You’re a college student now!”

  Tang Hao laughed.

Qin Xiangyi started driving the car.

“Where are we going?” Tang Hao asked.

“Home, of course!” Qin Xiangyi said while looking at him seductively.

Chapter 202 - The Changes in Dragonrock Village

The next morning, Tang Hao took a cab to Dragonrock Village.

He got out of the cab at the end of the bridge near the village entrance.

Several women were doing their laundry at the streamside. They greeted Tang Hao when they saw him. “Oh, Lil Hao is here!”

“You haven’t shown up for many days! What are you busy with?”

“Oh! Lil Hao is a big boss now! Of course he’s busy, unlike us!”

Tang Hao greeted them courteously with a smile.

Dragonrock Village was a small village with several hundred inhabitants. Tang Hao knew every one of their names.

He enjoyed the warm intimacy with the villagers.

He crossed the bridge and arrived at the village. Looking into the distance, several huts that were built next to the mountain had already been replaced by new, bigger houses.

The village was getting a makeover.

Originally, Dragonrock Village was a poor, run-down place. Its current level of prosperity was about the same as Tang Village and would soon surpass it.

  “Lil Hao is here!”

Many villagers came to greet Tang Hao when they saw him enter the village.
