‘The Huaxianese general makes sense! How should I counter that?’

After all, they did not have concrete evidence.

“But… that guy can speak Chinese…” he stammered.

“Chinese? How many sentences did he speak?”

  “One sentence… maybe two?”

“Hah, just one or two sentences of Chinese, and you think that the guy is from Huaxia? Are you even listening to what you’re saying? Who doesn’t know a sentence or two of Chinese nowadays?”

“Well…” The general’s face was red with embarrassment.

  …

In a snow-capped mountain somewhere in Merrica.

The peak of the majestic mountain was buried in the clouds.

Two figures clad in black robes were running up the mountain with panicked expressions.

Eventually, they arrived in front of a dwelling and fell prostrate on the ground.

“Mighty Divine Eagle, our noble Lady Thea, the Dragon of Huaxia is here! The situation is dire. Please lend us your hand!”

There was no reply for a long time.

The two people lifted their heads and looked at each other. They were about to say something again when the door slid open silently.

The interior of the dwelling was pitch-black.

Soon, it began to light up.

The light was intense, but at the same time, carried a holy presence. A figure walked out from the light.

It was a tall and slender female with ivory-fair skin that flowed dazzlingly.

She did not wear any accessories on her perfect feet.

Her long golden hair fell on her shoulders like a waterfall.

Her facial features were delicate — She had the characteristic tall nose bridge of a Western person, yet her profound gaze carried an Eastern charm. Her lips were vivid and supple, and her golden irises were sparkling.

She walked toward the entrance while bathed in light. Her beauty was breath-taking.

It was as though a goddess had descended from the heavens.

Chapter 514 - Eagle VS Dragon

The light became more and more intense.

The figure walked closer to the entrance, bathed in a holy light.

She was dressed in a pure and simple white dress. She wore an ancient-looking pendant on her chest. At its center was a gem that emitted a blinding light.

It also exuded a solemn yet stifling presence.

As she walked out, the two men at the entrance lay prostrate on the ground.

The woman was the Divine Eagle of Merrica.

They called the most powerful cultivator from Huaxia the Dragon. The eagle was Merrica’s symbol, which was why they called the most powerful cultivator in Merrica the Divine Eagle.

She was also known as the Sacred Maiden of White Mountain, which was where Merrican warlocks gathered.

  “The Dragon of Huaxia?”

She stopped at the entrance. Her voice was low, husky, and seductive.

“Yes, Lady Thea. The Dragon of Huaxia is in L City and has killed many of our people. Please reveal your powers and exterminate him!”

She furrowed her brows. A hint of icy coldness emanated from her golden irises.

“I’d like to meet this Dragon!”

As she spoke, the gem on her chest emitted a blinding light.

  Crackle!

Her body transformed into a bolt of lightning and rose into the sky like an eagle, illuminating the dark sky.

The bolt of lightning streaked through the sky and disappeared into the distance.

The two people turned to face the sky and lay prostrate again. “Safe travels, Lady Thea!”

The bolt of lightning arrived at L City very soon. It fell on the street.

  Boom!

The earth shook, and a shockwave spread out from that bolt.

The cloud of dust raised from the impact assailed Tang Hao.

  “Cough cough!”

Tang Hao coughed and spat out the coffee in his mouth.

“Dammit! What’s going on? Thunder? Is it going to rain?”

He placed the cup on the table and looked at the source of the impact.

He was shocked by what he saw. In front of him was a dazzlingly beautiful Western woman who seemed like she came out of a dream. Her white dress was like snow, and her golden hair danced in the air.

  His jaw dropped.

Then, he looked at the sky and then at her. He repeated this motion several times before mumbling to himself, “I didn’t know you can do that. That was too cool!”

He looked at the woman again, and his expression became serious.

‘This woman is very powerful! Unbelievably powerful!

‘That pendant doesn’t look mundane. It should be an incredible Artifact.

‘That person must be the Divine Eagle that they were talking about.

‘Why would she be so beautiful though?’

While Tang Hao was standing there in bemusement, the people in the command center were cheering.

  “The Divine Eagle is here!”

“It’s Goddess Thea! That Huaxianese kid is dead for sure!”

Of course, some people said other things too.

“I love you, Goddess Thea!” Someone shouted.

“Hey, be serious!” The commander turned around and slapped that person.

He turned back to face the computer screen. “I am the one who truly loves you, Goddess Thea!” He said seriously.

The atmosphere on the street was thick with dust and tension.

  Tang Hao slowly stood up.

Before the battle had even begun, they had already sized each other up with their qi auras. Invisible sparks were flying in the air.

“You’re not bad at all!” She said coldly.

Tang Hao grinned. “You’re not bad either. You have quite a spectacular entrance.”

“Why, do you think you can beat me?” She laughed coldly.

“Who knows? We’ll have to fight it out!”

“Hmph!” She grunted coldly, and her eyes flashed with killing intent. She lifted her arm and clenched her fingers. An aura of frost immediately surrounded her body and condensed into countless sharp icicles.

She waved her hand, and the icicles surged toward Tang Hao.

Tang Hao grunted coldly and flicked his hand. A cone of flame shot out from his hand.

  The intense battle had begun.

The two people traded spells. Tang Hao fired spells from his hands and occasionally threw the random jade talisman, while his opponent blasted fire, frost, and lightning from her delicate hands.

  Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sound of explosions was unending.

The buildings around them shattered and collapsed.

  “Take this!”

Tang Hao yelled. He flicked his wrist, and thirty-three jade talismans flew out.

Lightning energy swept toward his opponent like a great wave.

She was shocked, but soon composed herself. The gem in front of her chest sparkled and emitted a blinding light, which turned into a light shield and blocked the lightning.

“What happened?” Tang Hao was shocked.

His eyes sparkled when he looked at the gem.

The intense battle continued with many concerned people watching from the sidelines.

If the Divine Eagle won, then everything would be fine. However, it would be bad news if she lost. After all, the battle was related to Merrica’s pride.

In an airbase somewhere, several military jets stealthily took off from the runway and flew toward L City.

  Boom!

The two cultivators exchanged another round of spells.

The shockwave from the impact pushed the two people backward.

The two people were already disheveled.

Tang Hao’s clothes were torn and almost charred. His opponent was not any better. She was panting, while her white dress was torn in several places, showing her fair skin underneath.

  “She’s quite powerful, especial
ly with that gem!”

Tang Hao mumbled. He gritted his teeth and unsheathed his dragon tooth dagger.

He tapped his foot and dashed forward.

The opponent tapped her foot and hovered backward.

She reached behind her and pulled out a pair of golden short swords.

  Clang! Clang! Clang!

Sparks flew as the dagger and the short swords clashed.

Tang Hao eventually gained the advantage as the melee fight raged on.

  Rip!

The dagger created a blade of wind as Tang Hao drew a line across the air. It ripped the white dress into two halves.

The contents of her upper torso were revealed.

  “You…”

She gritted her teeth and glared at Tang Hao, feeling utterly humiliated.

“Hey, don’t blame me! I can’t help it if you’re a woman!” Tang Hao said.

‘It’s normal that clothes get torn in a fight!’

She grunted angrily and dashed backward, pulling herself away from close range. The gem on her chest hummed and emanated a dazzling light.

Her qi aura expanded greatly. She lifted her hand, and an endless torrent of fire and lightning covered the sky and the earth.

Tang Hao’s expression became serious. He flicked his hand, and an endless amount of jade talismans flew out.

The talismans did not fly toward the target, but instead hovered in the air and circled him.

“Hah!” He roared and pushed his hands forward. All the jade talismans flew out at the same time.

  Boom! Boom! Boom!

The resulting shockwave spread in all directions like the incoming tide and pushed the two people backward.

They got back on their feet and continued to trade spells.

After an unknown amount of time, Tang Hao had depleted his stores of jade talismans. He had almost exhausted the qi reserves in his body too.

His opponent was not any better. The gem had dimmed, and her qi aura had withered.

She panted hard, and her body gently trembled, as though it was hard for her to stand on her feet.

  “One more!”

She yelled. She was once again surrounded by a ring of fire that surged forward.

  “I’m not scared!”

Tang Hao grunted. He threw a fireball with the last bit of qi in his body.

  Boom!

  The resulting explosion was blinding.

The shockwave sent both of them flying backward, and they fell to the ground.

  Chapter 515 - Thea Silvers

  “Who won? Who won?”

Everyone in the command center had their hearts at their throats.

Their eyes were transfixed on the computer screen.

Their view was blocked by the thick dust in the air. They could not tell who the victor was.

After the dust cleared, they could see that two people were lying on the ground, amid the wreckage.

The person on the left was the Divine Eagle of Merrica, while the one on the right was the Dragon of Huaxia.

  “Get up quickly, Lady Thea!”

  Many people were shouting anxiously.

On the screen, the woman stirred and tried to get to her feet. However, she was overcome by exhaustion and fell down once more.

The people in the command center wailed sorrowfully.

“Never mind. That Huaxianese kid can’t get up either! It’s a draw at best!”

“Quick, kill him while he’s down! Go go go!”

  The people started cheering again.

  ‘This is the best chance!’

The order to attack was given. The special forces soldiers prepared to storm in.

However, at that moment, the figure on the right moved. He brought his hand to his mouth, swallowed something, then quickly stood up on his feet and dusted his hands as though nothing happened.

Everyone in the command center froze. The joyous atmosphere dissipated instantly.

“Oh my god! What just happened?”

Someone wailed as he clutched his head.

“Don’t tell me… Goddess Thea has lost?”

“No, that’s impossible! Our Divine Eagle never loses!”

  Everyone instantly sunk into despair.

Meanwhile, on the street, Tang Hao stretched his limbs after he got on his feet.

He swallowed several pills at once earlier and replenished the qi reserves in his body. However, given his current cultivation base, the pills did not help him much.

“This fellow is pretty tough to beat,” Tang Hao mumbled as he looked in front of him.

The woman sprawled on the ground looked at him incredulously.

The guy was sprawled on the ground just like her earlier, but she could not figure out how he recovered so quickly.

Tang Hao grunted and walked toward her.

Suddenly, he heard a loud noise coming from the sky.

Tang Hao was very familiar with that noise.

He lifted his head and saw several military jets flying toward them.

  Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

A barrage of missiles was whizzing toward them.

  Tang Hao was shocked.

‘Are those guys crazy? Are they planning to kill both of us? They’d kill one of their own too!’

The woman lifted her head laboriously and looked toward the source of the noise.

Her eyes also widened with incredulity.

Everyone in the command center exclaimed in surprise.

The missiles moved at incredible speeds and were about to hit their targets.

Tang Hao reflexively wanted to run away.

However, he did not want to leave the woman behind. He could not bear to watch her getting killed by her people.

  “Dammit, you owe me one!”

He pounced on the woman, hugged her, and rolled away.

At the same time, he flicked his wrists. Tens of jade pendants orbited their bodies and expanded into multiple layers of light shields.

  Boom! Boom! Boom!

The ground shook, and firelight illuminated the twilight sky. It felt like the end of the world.

The light shields shattered one by one, and the corresponding jade pendants shattered too.

He only had three intact jade pendants when the explosions ceased.

Tang Hao lifted his head, looked to his left and right, and breathed a sigh of relief.

He soon realized that something was amiss, as though there was something under his body.

  “I’m sorry!” He said embarrassedly.

Suddenly, he heard another wave of missiles coming toward them.

  “Dammit, are they done yet?”

Tang Hao cursed under his breath. He carried the woman in his hands and dashed away as fast as he could.

He soon escaped from the blast range. The shockwave pushed him forward, and his feet stumbled. Then, he quickly found his footing and ran past the blockade.

He increased his speed as he ran and soon reached the edge of the city. He found an empty house and went inside.

He threw the woman on a bed, then sat down and panted heavily.

“What’s up with all you Merricans?” He mumbled indignantly.

He stood up and walked toward the bed.

  “What do you want?”

The woman on the bed panicked. She struggled to sit up.

She scrunched up her beautiful face.

Tang Hao was shocked by the beautiful woman. He had seen many beautiful women in her life, but this was the first time he looked at a Westerner eye to eye.

Her beauty was not any lesser than Qin Xiangyi or the other women he knew, but her blond hair and fair skin gave her an exotic charm.

  “Cough cough!”

Tang Hao coughed lightly and composed himself. He reached out and grabbed the gem.

She was calmer when that happened. “That’s a sacred Artifact of White Mountain. It has no use for you.”

“Is that so?” Tang Hao said doubtfully.

  “The gem is called the
Witch’s Heart. It’s an heirloom passed down through the generations. I’m the only person who can wield its power… the gem chose me when I was twelve years old.”

Tang Hao furrowed his brows. He took the gem anyway, fiddled it with a bit, and found that it produced no response.

  “Too bad!”

It was quite frustrating to obtain a powerful treasure that he could not use.

“Never mind then!” He returned the gem to her.

The atmosphere became awkward all of a sudden.

“You… why did you save me?” She said, looking at Tang Hao with a complicated gaze.

“What do you mean by why? I can’t bear to see them killing their own people. That’s inhumane!” Tang Hao said.

Her gaze dimmed when he heard that.

“Can you… let me see your true face?” She said after a while.

She looked at Tang Hao expectantly.

She had never been defeated since young. Now that she had been defeated by someone, and a Huaxianese no less, she was curious about every aspect of Tang Hao.

“Am I that stupid?” Tang Hao said coldly.

  She fell silent.

“You should leave.” Tang Hao took a shirt and tossed it at her.

She recovered some strength eventually and pushed herself up, then walked toward the door.

At the doorway, she suddenly stopped walking, turned around, and looked at Tang Hao.

“Thank you for saving me. Right, my name is Thea. Thea Silvers!” She wrapped herself with the shirt, opened the door, and left.

  Chapter 516 - Don’t Misunderstand

Tang Hao breathed a sigh of relief after seeing her leave.

That woman was the strongest opponent he had met so far.

She might have an immensely powerful gem, but he had a lot of jade talismans. They were at about the same power level, and if he did not have Qi Restoration Pills, he would have been killed in the missile attack.

  “Oh, that treasure…” he grumbled.

He took out his weird mirror and fiddled around with it for a bit.
