“We need to convert one of these rooms to a nursery,” Trick said.

Tank stared at the door, waiting for Leah to come out and change their lives forever. If the test read pregnant, they were all going to be a dad.

“Do you think we can logically make this work?” he asked.

“What are you talking about?” Edge asked.

“Five dads, one kid. Don’t you think that is excessive?”

“No,” Junior said. “They say it takes a village or some shit to raise a kid. Why can’t it be us? We’re a village.”

“We’re a bunch of misfits that work well together,” Dig said.

“You don’t think you’d be a good dad?” Edge asked.

Tank shrugged. “I never even gave it a thought, to be honest. I guess if I was given the opportunity, I would.”

“Do you not want to share her?” Trick asked.

  “More than anything.”

“Then I don’t see why we can’t make it work. We’ve been with each other for a long time now. We’re brothers. We’re friends. We’re a family, and we will make it work. For one, I love watching Leah come apart in your arms, and I’m not jealous when I see her kissing you all,” Trick said. “Our child will be loved and taken care of. There won’t be room in his or her life for anything else.” Trick dropped to the floor. “Shouldn’t she be out right now? I thought the test only took a couple of minutes.”

Edge knocked on the door. “You okay, baby?”

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine. I’ll be out in a minute.”

Tank frowned, getting to his feet.

He stepped up to the door and opened it.

  “Hey, privacy,” Junior said.

Leah was leaning against the bathtub with tears rolling down her cheeks. She looked terrified as she sniffled. “It says that I’m pregnant.”

He went to her, pulling her into his arms as his club brothers filled the room. They all held her, touched her, kissed her, and soothed her.

“I always wanted to be a mom, and now my dream is coming true. I’m so scared. What if I’m bad at it?”

  “It’s not possible,” Junior said.

“I always avoided children. I never took a job working with them, and now, I’m going to have my own. We’re all going to have a baby. That is so scary.”

“I already picked out the nursery,” Trick said.

She smiled. “Are you all sure about this? It has only been a couple of weeks, and I honestly don’t know what the hell I’m doing half the time. I’ve got nowhere else to go. I’ve got nothing to offer you.”

Tank slammed his lips down on hers, silencing her. “You’ve given us you. That is all we want. There is no other gift we want or need. Just you.”

“I don’t know how I got all of this,” she said. “I’m scared of losing you all.”

“Not going to happen,” Tank said. He turned to look at Edge. “We need to postpone or cancel the run for Marcel. We’ve got things to handle here.”

“I’m already on it,” Edge said.

He stepped out of the bathroom.

“He’s the one that handles all the business,” she said. “He works too hard.”

“We voted him as club President because he can get the job done,” Junior said. “I’ve got a way of irritating people.”

“I don’t like being nice,” Trick said.

  “I’m lazy,” Dig said.

“And I hate people,” Tank said.

She laughed. “I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

“If we find another two men, you’d have the seven dwarves,” Junior said.

“I don’t want seven. I love having my man for each day of the week, and sharing you all on the weekend.” She let out a yawn. “I’m so tired.”

Lifting her up, Tank carried her to her bedroom, putting her down on the bed. He removed her shoes—he knew she hated mess—and placed them neatly against the wall. With Dig, Junior, and Trick’s help, they removed her clothes. She did look a little pale and tired. All he wanted to do was to hold her close and to never let her go.

Brushing her hair back from her face, she smiled up at him.

“It’s going to be okay,” he said.

  “Promise?”

  “Count on it.”

  “Thank you.”

“Close your eyes. Go to sleep.” He kissed her head, stepping back so the others did the same.

They were leaving as Edge arrived. He slipped into her bedroom, and Tank watched his club President.

Edge changed the moment he thought he was alone with Leah.

Tank had witnessed it himself. They all called him Mr. Emotionless, but that was far from the truth. Edge, out of all of them, kept his emotions in check. It was why he was the last one to tell them how he felt about Leah.

He was also always the first man to take care of men and women who threatened the club. The monster in Edge had been tamed by a little brunette.

It was actually rather nice to see.

Edge stood up and left the bedroom, closing the door behind him.

“We’ve got two weeks. Marcel offered us all congratulations,” Edge said.

  “You told him?” Junior asked.

“I wasn’t going to lie to him. This is how we conduct business. I want to take care of Leah’s mom once and for all. I don’t want her to worry about our child’s safety. She is our priority. Leah must be protected and safe at all times. Trick and I are going to deal with that. Junior, Dig, and Tank, I want you to handle the decorating of the nursery. I don’t want Leah stressing about anything. All of the hard work will be done.”

With the snap of his fingers, the orders were complete.

Tank had never decorated a nursery before. It was going to be a crash course.

  Chapter Thirteen

Trick stared up at the apartment that just had five men leave. All of them looked a little worse for wear. Their clothing looked like it hadn’t seen the inside of a washing machine.

  “What’s the plan?” Trick asked.

He wanted to get back to the clubhouse so he could help with the baby and with everything. Leah was pregnant with their baby. He didn’t see it as his, or one of the guys’. The baby and Leah were part of all of them.

“Give her this. Force her to take it all without her even knowing it,” Edge said, holding the dope in a gloved hand. “We don’t touch anything. I’ve already got our guy on standby.”

“You know we could just leave her to get herself killed,” Trick said. “From the looks of those guys, she doesn’t exactly take her safety into account.”

“She hadn’t seen her daughter in years, and the first thing she did when Leah came to town was to sell her for a debt. This whore knows where we live, and if she knows Leah is carrying our child, she’d use it. Once an addict, always an addict. This woman has grated on my nerves for the last freaking time. I want her out.”

“And if Leah changes her mind?” Trick asked. “We’ve killed her family.”

“No, we are her family. Family doesn’t have to come by blood, Trick. You know that. Family is what comes from the people who stay by your side through thick and thin without thinking about themselves. We’ve got each other’s backs. We take care of each other, and now we will take care of Leah and our child.”

Edge climbed out of the car.

Trick did the same, stretching as he did.

No one came out to greet them. They made their way to Leah’s mother’s apartment. The door was already open, and well, it wasn’t like it was a shock to see her getting fucked hard and fast by three men.

She wouldn’t have been able to greet them. Her mouth was full to the brim with dick. She also had a guy in her ass and her pussy.

It was a fuck-fest, and it didn’t even look like she was taking part, just being used for what the men wanted.

“Get out,” Edge said, pulling out his gun.

The man in her mouth pulled out and turned to glare at him. The moment they caught sight of their leat
her cuts, all of the men backed up a step, and then another.

It was amusing to watch, but they didn’t have the time for this. Trick wanted this done and over with.

“Unless you guys want to deal with her debt with us, I suggest you all back the fuck off, and let us handle her,” Edge said.

“We don’t want no trouble,” the man said, pulling up his jeans.

Edge handed them some dope. “Consider this payment for you all to forget that you were here.”

They took the drugs Edge handed to them and left without another word.

“What are you doing here? What debt?” Leah’s mother asked, rolling over. She didn’t even close her legs as she grabbed a joint out of the ashtray. She lit up, blowing up a billow of smoke into the air.

“Actually, we came to give you a gift,” Trick said. He moved into the apartment as Edge shut the door.

“What gift?” She still looked nervous but now was also curious.

“This of course,” he said, holding up the bag they wanted her to snort up her nose. She looked so happy to see all of that white powder.

This was what she sold Leah for.

“This can all be yours,” Edge said. “So long as you snort what we tell you. Snort what we tell you to, and it’s all yours. No questions asked. No payment. Then you don’t need anything else.”

“Leah’s pussy must be pretty fucking special for you to give me this. I’m game. Give it to me.”

“Are you not going to ask how she is?” Trick asked.

“Why would I do that? I didn’t want the brat in the first place. Near about tore my pussy in half pushing her out. She’s nothing to me. You can have her.” She didn’t put any clothes on, merely rubbed her hands together.

Her body was covered in bruises, and it looked like she had dried semen on her.

  This woman sickened him.

Trick laid out the lines she would need. This wasn’t some mixed up shit. These drugs were the real deal, and ten lines, she wouldn’t be able to finish. No way, and if she did, well, he’d start another ten.

“You two care to join me?” she asked, sniffing two within seconds.

Trick stepped back, not wanting anything on him.

“No, you snort it all up,” Edge said. “This is all for you because you deserve this.”

He stared at the club President. There was nothing in the man’s face.

  No pain.

  No guilt.

  No remorse.

This was another reason they’d voted Edge as their leader.

He made the decisions and stuck by them. This was one of those choices. They were doing this for Leah, and after what he heard and witnessed, this was the best way to deal with this woman.

After she had snorted five long lines, she hacked up a bit, spitting on the floor but not wiping her mouth.

“This is good. This is so good.”

Her voice began to slur, and Trick watched.

“Just another one, or two, if you can handle it,” Edge said, his voice soft.

They left after she had done eight lines.

They watched her overdose, choking on her vomit as foam came out of her mouth. This was a job that needed to be done for the safety of their woman.

  Three months later

Leah stroked her expanding stomach. She truly couldn’t believe that it had been three months since she found out she was pregnant, and according to the doctor she hadn’t been that far along, and was now due in just five months.

Five months when she’d find out if she had a boy or a girl. Tank, Edge, and Dig wanted to know the sex of the baby, even though the nursery was painted a nice neutral yellow. She loved the color of sunshine, and since she’d gotten pregnant, one of her favorite things to do was to watch the sun rise in the morning and set at night.

Seeing the sun disappear always helped her to feel calm, like nothing was going to bother her in the world.

Like now, she sat on one of the benches, drinking a glass of water. Tea and coffee were out of the question. She’d also stopped eating nuts and cheese for the baby as well. Nothing was going to harm her child.

The instant she had taken that test and learned she was pregnant, motherhood had felt way too scary, and just something she couldn’t face. Now, surrounded by the five men who loved her, she knew that no matter what, it was going to be the best experience in the world.

“I thought I’d find you here.”

Edge was always the first one out of all of her men to find her. It didn’t matter where she went or what she did, he always found her. She loved that about him.

He wrapped his arm around her, and his coffee had long been changed for tea. The scent of coffee always made her throw up. She had told him many times that she didn’t mind him drinking coffee, but he hated to see her throw up.

  “I love it out here.”

  “Are you sure?”

Just the other day, Edge and the guys brought her a bunch of paperwork, with different houses. They had wanted her to pick a place that she could call her own. She had a home.

The clubhouse was her home, and they had all said to her at different times they were not getting any other members. This was their club, and now it was her home. There was nowhere else she wanted to be. There was already a nursery, and they’d been working on a play area out in the back.

For her, it felt like home.

It wasn’t a conventional home, but to her, it was the best place she’d ever been.

“You know I do, Edge. I’m not saying that to be polite. I really do love it here. I don’t know why you can’t see that.”

“It’s because he wants you to have everything your heart desires,” Trick said, joining them. He sat beside her.

“And that means if you want a pool, we’ll install a pool,” Junior said.

Edge and Trick groaned. “What is it with you and a pool?”

“None of you have thought about watching Leah walk around completely naked? I mean, seriously, are we even having sex with the same woman?”

“We’re getting a pool,” Edge and Trick said at the same time.

She burst out laughing. “I’d like a pool.”

“Pool sounds good,” Tank said. He walked toward them, kissing her on the head before he took a seat on the bench opposite. “How are you feeling today?”

“Okay. No sickness this morning, so yay. I don’t know how long it will last, but it’s nice not to be vomiting every couple of minutes.” She lifted her head up just as Dig joined them. He also kissed her before sitting down.

“Did you ask her?” Dig asked, looking toward Edge.

  “Ask me what?”

“No, I haven’t. I was waiting for all of you.”

Leah looked at each of her men. “What are you guys going to ask me? Don’t forget I’m pregnant, hormonal, and this could end badly for all of you.”

“It’s nothing bad,” Junior said. “You should know by now that when it comes to us, nothing bad will ever happen.”

“Okay, now I am a little worried.” She looked at her men.

They all looked a little nervous.

“What is it?” She knew they wouldn’t want to get rid of her. She had long gotten past those kinds of insecurities. Her men loved her, and she would never doubt their word. They were her men, and she was their woman.

Their love wasn’t normal or conventional, but she didn’t need or want to be any of those things. All of her life she’d been hoping someone would love her and not want to give her away or pass her over, or use her.

Edge, Trick, Dig, Tank, and Junior, all of them loved her and gave her what she’d been searching for. She also couldn’t imagine loving anyone else. They were her life, and she would die for them.

This baby was going to be so loved, protected, and cared for.

“You’re all making me a little nervous. What is it?”

Edge cleared his throat, and suddenly, totally unexpectedly, she was staring open-mouthed as h
e got down on one knee.

It wasn’t just Edge to do that either.

Trick joined him, then Junior. Tank and Dig were the last two to get down on one knee before her.

“We love you, Leah,” Edge said. “All of us. We want to have a life with you. To build a family and above all else, we never want to let you go.”

  “You complete us,” Junior said.

Tears filled her eyes, and she was … she didn’t know what she was, but emotions were flooding every single part of her and she couldn’t think. They were proposing to her.

  To her!

  This couldn’t be happening.

One look at each of her men, and she saw it.

“Will you marry all of us?” Edge asked.

“On paper it will be with Edge, but we will all know the truth,” Tank said.

There was no doubt, no hesitation, no second guessing. She knew what she wanted, who she wanted, and it was all five of these guys. “Yes. A million times yes. The easiest yes in the history of all yeses.”

Edge slid the ring onto her finger, and it was the prettiest sight she had ever seen. Her men surrounded her, wrapping their arms around her, and she just melted against each of them.

This was her family. The loves of her life, and there’s no way anyone could have ever taken her away from them.

In a way, her mother’s evil act had given her to men who would fill her life with complete and total happiness. She hadn’t asked what they had done to her mother, and she didn’t care either.

For the longest time, she’d been happy, and no one had come to take that away from her, or to strip it from her as if she didn’t deserve it.

The Broken Devils MC were her men, and she wasn’t ever letting them go.

  Epilogue

  Five months later

“That’s it, just breathe. We’re going to get through this. You don’t have to worry about a thing. Just concentrate on that breathing of yours. In and out. In and out. Take your time. Relax. Calm,” Junior said.

Leah did as he instructed, taking her time to breathe through the pain.

The contractions had started an hour ago. The moment the first one hit, and her water broke, there had been no arguments, and she’d been taken to the hospital. She didn’t have a single problem with that.
