Bridgette stood in stunned dismay at the bottom stair. On Mother’s left workers hauled cages full of enormous rats into the basement from a hole leading into the sewers; on her right a butcher packed monkey-sized carcasses into crates of ice.

Thank you for downloading this flash-fiction anthology. I’ve created this in order to give you a taste of things to come. You’ve just been witness to crucial moments during the lives of some major players within my upcoming novels. These are backstory snapshots of heroes and villains alike. Sparks, if you will, that shall set ablaze the stories to follow.
I am a new author, and my first books will be exploring a personal twist on the themes of steampunk and science-fiction. If you liked what you’ve found in these six short stories, then you will absolutely love the larger books. I promise you that. Plus I’m new, and developing, and things can only get better from here.
