Excerpt from The Historium

One of the earliest challenges the Etusians faced was the scarcity of natural resources—that is, until they rediscovered the beauty of a tree.

Many claim that without the utility and versatility of trees humankind would have been unable to recover from the devastation of their past.

Trees provided a renewable source of food, shelter, housing, heat, furniture, tools, medicines, protection, and a myriad of other services and commodities essential for the growth and survival of the people.

It is no wonder that the tree soon came to symbolize the maturing respect Etus developed for the spirit ties between humankind and nature.
