The Bravest Hero (A Curvy Girls Club Novel Book 2)

“Actually, my nipples aren’t as sensitive as I’d like them to be. It’s why I was able to get them pierced,” Royal confessed.
“Where are you sensitive?”
“Here,” she touched the back of her ear and slid her finger down the side of her neck. “And here.”
She touched the other side in the same spot.
“Actually, it’s so sensitive there I’ve never been able to withstand someone touching or kissing me there for more than a few seconds. But…”
Mack instinctively knew what she left unsaid. She wanted to be forced to take it. He had no problem obliging her.
Mack glided his hands down her upper arms. As they reached her elbows, he pressed them back behind her until her hands met behind her back. One large hand clasped both her wrists together and held them firmly against her spine. He wrapped his free hand around the back of her neck and pulled her close. He pulled her bottom lip into his mouth and sucked at it gently. He released her and kissed across her jawline to her ear. His teeth lightly grazed her earlobe.
When Mack reached the back of Royal’s ear, he placed a soft kiss on the skin there. She immediately trembled. If such a chaste kiss could cause that strong of a reaction, Mack knew he was about to have some fun with her.
He trailed soft kisses from her ear down to her neck. Royal’s knees began to wobble. Mack pulled her onto his good leg. A perfect place so she wouldn’t crumple to the floor and the perfect position for optimal necking.
His fingers tightened around her wrists and her neck as he pulled her closer to his lips. Mack’s wet tongue flicked against the skin behind her ear.
“Aaah!” Royal cried out and pressed her thighs together reflexively.
Mack tested another soft lick. Again, she squeezed her thighs and this time she pulled against his hold on her wrists and neck.
From her reaction, Mack had a theory he wanted to test. He pulled her even closer. He began to lick, suck, and bite her sensitive flesh.
“Unh…McKennon! Please sssst!”
He knew she wanted to tell him to stop. But he also knew she was close. He held firm and continued. His tongue lightly drew a figure-8 right below her ear. Royal’s hips pumped forward. He did it again and her thighs clenched as she rolled forward again. Mack did it once more and her body seized.
“AAAAAAAHHHH!” Royal threw her head back and screamed.
Mack’s dick jumped at her cry of pleasure and with his own moan of desire, his semen spilled from him onto her thigh and his stomach where his cock was pressed between.
He finally released Royal’s wrists and neck. As soon as she was free, she grabbed his face and pulled him in for an urgent kiss.
When she’d had enough, she pulled away and looked down at the mess he’d created.
“You came?!” She looked at him in shock.
“It’s a thing that sometimes happens to me. I sometimes cum when I make a woman orgasm.”
“Like sympathy orgasms?!”
“I guess you could say that.”
“That’s so hot!”
Mack didn’t tell her it hadn’t really happened since Mariah. It was the first time in almost two decades that it had happened.
Apparently, I can only do it when I’m extremely attracted to the woman I’m making love to.
And just like it had been when he was younger, his ‘sympathy orgasm’ hadn’t sapped him of his desire in the slightest. Mack was still rock hard.
“I’m not done with you yet.”
~~~
McKennon grabbed the towel off the floor and wiped her and himself clean. Then he moved to stand and Royal quickly got off his lap. He took her hand and led her over to her couch. He knelt in front of her, gripped the waistband of her panties, and pulled them down her legs. Royal laid her hands on his shoulders to keep her balance as she stepped out of them.
Considering how Ainsley looked, Royal was surprised she stood before him feeling confident in her full, soft body. It was probably the way his eyes devoured her. The way they always had since she visited him in the hospital.
“Sit,” he commanded.
She did as he instructed.
“Put your feet on the edge of the couch.”
She did.
“Now, let me see.”
Royal separated her knees and let her legs fall apart.
“Jesus Christ, Royal!” He groaned.
With her legs spread wide open for him, she knew he could see that the hood of her clit was pierced as well. She was also so wet that she could feel her dampness against her thighs. Royal was sure she glistened with it. All because of how turned on she’d been during the photoshoot. As well as that incredible orgasm from just kissing her neck. She’d had a feeling that it was possible, but was never able to handle anyone kissing her there for more than a second. And no one who was patient or willing enough to find her buttons and press them.
“Do you like it?” She asked softly.
“Do I like?! Fuck…”
McKennon dipped his head down and licked her from taint to clit with a wide, eager tongue. Royal’s back arched with a sharp intake of breath as she gripped the back of his head. He lapped up all her feminine wine desperately, like an alcoholic who’d fallen off the wagon.
He was neither quiet nor timid. McKennon hummed and moaned, vibrating her clit. He smacked like her pussy was a snack. And he wasn’t neat about it either. She felt a combination of her arousal and his saliva run down to her backside. Then he’d dip his head further down, lick around her rosette and back up again.
“Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.” Royal hissed.
One arm pressed into the couch to give her leverage as she pumped towards his mouth. Her other hand held the back of his head as she fucked his face.
My God! Is he really good at everything?!?
Royal was beginning to think that his need to strive for perfection had its advantages.
She didn’t think it would be possible to orgasm again, but that familiar itch intensified. McKennon must have been listening for her sounds and knew she was close. He wrapped his plump lips around her piercing and clit, and sucked gently as he flicked her nub softly.
Royal shattered.
“UNGH!!! She cried as she rolled her hips to rub her clit against his tongue.
McKennon’s arms wrapped around her back and with his good leg he braced himself as he lifted her up and turned to sit on the couch. Royal landed straddling his lap. She wasted no time. She had to feel him inside her.
Royal grasped his cock, rose up on her knees, and lowered herself over him. She threw her head back on a gasp as he filled her up. His width stretched her. She couldn’t fully seat herself on him yet as her body adjusted to his length.
McKennon’s large hands clutched each of her ass cheeks. His arms and chest flexed as he pulled her back and forth over him. Royal wrapped her arms around the back of his neck and held on as she rode him. Their mouths came together hot and urgent. Her teeth bit down into his bottom lip. He gripped her ass tighter and began to bounce her, slamming her down as he thrust up to meet her.
Royal released his bottom lip on a scream. McKennon slowed his thrusts. He splayed his hands on her back and pulled her to him. Her breasts pressed against his chest. Royal laid her head in the crook of his neck and clutched his shoulders. Her nails bit into the skin of his back. She felt the contrast of the skin of his left thigh and the coarse hair covering it, compared to the smooth hard plastic of the socket of his prosthetic leg against her ass.
“Ah…ah…ah…” the little cries escaped her lips with every pump of his hips.
“Look at me,” McKennon directed.
Royal pulled back. Their eyes connected. Brown to green. His hand came up to brush back her hair that was damp with their combined sweat. McKennon’s thumb stroked over her bottom lip, and then caressed her cheek. He looked at her with naked adoration.
The connection they’d formed from that night, while he laid broken on the road looking at her with desperatio
n and pain, to now while they connected with their bodies, his eyes filled with desire and something else that squeezed Royal’s heart.
“You’re so fucking beautiful. Everything I’ve ever wanted,” McKennon said sincerely.
It was his last words that broke the spell for Royal. The words that brought her back to reality. And the reality was that she was knowingly fucking another woman’s man.
“Ah shit! I’m gonna cum.” McKennon gasped.
Royal raised her hips. He pulled out, and his cum spilled onto both their stomachs.
McKennon rested his forehead against Royal’s as he caught his breath. The guilt ate at her, forcing her next words from her mouth.
“Are you still with her? Still marrying her?”
McKennon’s eyes shot up to hers. Trepidation was written all over his face.
“Yes.”
Royal blinked several times as she took that punch to the gut. It took her a moment before she could speak again.
“When exactly is the wedding?”
“In two weeks,” he rasped.
“Then what was this?”
McKennon remained silent. It was obvious that he was battling a silent war with himself.
“I-I don’t know. It’s what I wanted. You’re what I want.” McKennon said as he tried to wrap her in his arms again.
Royal pulled away and rolled off his lap. She scrambled off the couch and searched for the towel. When she found it, she wiped his semen from her belly. She then tossed it to him.
“Then why are you still with her?”
“Because I…I love her.” McKennon said with undeniably zero conviction.
Royal’s eyebrows raised and she gave him a pointed look after she pulled on her dress.
“You sure about that?”
“No,” McKennon admitted for the first time. “But she’s who everyone expects me to be with.”
“You’re fucking kidding me, right? So, because I don’t fit a certain look, I'm not good enough to be on your arm? Either you want me or you don't, but I'm not going to be some asshole's side chick again.”
McKennon said nothing.
“So, you’re really going to marry someone you don’t love because it’s what is expected of you?”
“You don’t understand,” McKennon stood and walked towards her.
“Then explain it to me,” Royal held up her hand, silently telling him to keep his distance.
“We met at this party filled with douchebag social media influencers. We got to talking and I asked her on a date. During the date, she took and posted pics of us. Both of our followers kind of latched on and really started shipping us. I went with it because everyone thought we looked great together. That ridiculous picture-perfect couple.
“And because it wasn’t the life I actually saw for myself, I just went with the flow. After a while, she started mentioning the types of rings she liked, so I bought her one and proposed because that’s what seemed like the right thing to do at the time. I don’t know,” he finally fell silent.
“So, you’re basically a marionette, and you’re letting some million odd strangers and one manipulative woman, who might as well be a stranger, control your strings? That’s really fucked up, McKennon.”
“God! I know.” McKennon dropped his head. “I lost control of my life as a kid and haven’t regained it.”
“It’s like you’re this alpha male who’s letting people turn you into a beta who then pretends to be an alpha. If that makes any sense.”
“It does. To me at least.”
“Well, you deserve better than that. You deserve better than being with someone you don’t love and who doesn’t love you. Because she doesn’t, you know? Just like you’re playing pretend, so is she. You’re the guy who fit into the perfect fake life she’s built for herself on social media. I don’t know. Maybe you do both deserve each other,” Royal finished with a shake of her head.
“I made a promise, Royal. How would it look, me backing out now?”
“Actually, no you didn’t make a promise, McKennon. Not yet. You’re not beholden to her because you foolishly put a ring on a woman’s finger who you don’t love. But once you say ‘I do,’ and sign those papers, that’s when the promise is made. And honestly, you broke your promise anyway, the moment you fucked me.”
“I don’t want to humiliate her in front of millions of people, Royal.”
“Then why the fuck are you still standing here? Get out.” Royal said in a low tone. A tone that said she was only moments away from exploding.
“Royal, I’m sor-”
“I said… GET. THE FUCK. OUT!” Royal yelled as she pointed to the elevator.
McKennon bowed his head and walked over to his clothes. It took him a little longer to get his jeans on than it normally takes to put on pants because of his prosthetic leg. If it weren’t for that, Royal would’ve been screaming for him to hurry up.
Once he was dressed, McKennon got up and walked towards the elevator. He looked back at her with sad eyes. Royal wrapped her arms around herself, trying with everything that was in her to hold it all together.
He stepped onto the elevator and shut the gate. She watched him disappear from sight. When she heard the main door close downstairs, a sob burst from her throat. Her tears spilled hot and wet down her cheeks.
Royal crumpled to the floor. She wrapped her arms tighter around her middle and bent forward until her forehead touched the wood floor. Her body shook with the strength of her sobs.
Why do I keep doing this to myself?
Chapter Twenty-Five
“You can’t beat yourself up over this, Royal.” Kennedy said as she rubbed Royal’s back.
When Royal didn’t show up to their weekly Saturday lunch, they came looking for her. They found her in sweats, hair tangled and unwashed, and a little crusty in general. Not to mention she was surrounded by empty wrappers of junk food and takeout.
“You shared this unique, yet traumatic experience together, and then you both fell in love. He just happened to be promised to someone else. It happens.” Kennedy added. “You can’t feel guilty over it.”
“That’s the thing. It’s not the guilt so much as my disappointment in myself for being the side-chick once again. And this time knowingly. As far as she goes, I don’t feel as guilty as I possibly should,” Royal croaked. “She’s a cold bitch who doesn’t even love him. She’s legit using him for likes and comments. As far as I can tell, the only reason she’s stayed with him after losing his leg, is because it brings her hordes of sympathy. Last I checked, I think she’s gotten another million followers because of it.
“So, based on principal, I feel guilty. But in regards to Ainsley, I’m finding it hard to care.” Royal shook her head as the tears began to fill her eyes for the thousandth time. “No, what I’m devastated the most over, is that I found the right man for me, but he’s allowing other people to dictate his life. And out of some false sense of duty to his followers, or her, or his dead parents; he’s willing to throw his and my happiness away with the trash.”
Royal fell over onto the pillow she’d brought down to her couch. She pulled her blanket over her head and let the tears comes. The pillow immediately became soaked against her face as the tears rained down. Her body was wracked with jerking hiccups. She’d never hurt so much in her life.
“Aww Ro!” They all said in unison.
“There is a high probability that there is another man out there who has similar characteristics to McKennon,” Payton said.
“But how high is the probability that she’d meet said man?” Mia asked.
“You’re not helping, Mia.” Kennedy said.
“Sorry.”
“It’s okay.” Royal said muffled against her pillow.
“Ro, honey?” Mia began. “Was the dick really that good? Is it really worth all this wallowing?”
Royal peeled down her blanket far enough to show her face.
“It’s not always about sex, Mia.” Royal stated
before bursting into even more tears. “But yesssssss! I-It really w-was that g-good!”
Royal could barely speak through her hiccups. Her best friends. Her sisters rubbed her back, held her hand, and wiped away her tears as she rode out the wave of emotions. After a little while, she finally calmed down.
“Thanks, guys.”
“You know we got you,” Mia said.
“Absolutely,” Payton added.
“Always,” Kennedy finished.
“So…you want us to crash the wedding?” Mia said. Her face was a mask of seriousness.
Royal snorted.
“We’ll do it. I’ll cut a bitch. Her and all her bridesmaids. Ride or die.” Mia gave her a look that said she wasn’t playing.
Royal fell over. This time tears of laughter filled her eyes and spilled down her face.
Chapter Twenty-Six
Mack spent the last few weeks leading up to the wedding reliving those last moments with Royal. He couldn’t and would never forget that look she’d given him before he left.
She’d raised her chin defiantly against the emotions ready to spill out of her. But her eyes had been glassy and filled with so much hurt it punched him in the gut.
The vision of him saying, ‘Fuck it,’ and then striding across the room to take her with the intentions of calling off the wedding played on repeat. It’s what he’d wanted to do. But instead, he chose obligation. Obligation to Ainsley, his parents, and even their followers.
He questioned his decision every day. Every waking moment.
And he questioned it now, as he stood at the front of a room lined with rows of chairs that were filling quickly.
He adjusted his tuxedo jacket for the millionth time. He tugged at the collar and bowtie that felt like they were choking him.
“Are you okay, man?” Nick, his captain and best man, asked him.
His groomsmen were the guys from House 22. They were the ones he spent the majority of his time with. They were his only family.
“Huh?” Mack looked up absentmindedly. “Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’m good.”
