Marked Souls

Joshua grimaced, threw his hands in the air, shaking off the stress, then laid his right hand on his chin. He sat for a few moments, scratching his goatee.

Joshua’s nervous actions indicated he was edgy about what was to come.

“Wow. They’re doing this now! You’re right, no telling what will happen next. So, Jaizon, what brings you here?” Roya asked as she sat on the carpet with her drink.

“Thanks for welcoming me—Roya and Alliance members. As I was telling Joshua earlier, I met him when the organization first began. I’d gone to a couple meetings with Solomon. Solomon taught me a great deal as a friend, producer, and manager. I ignored most of the issues he addressed with me when he felt he had no one else to talk to about it. Some of the concerns and other things that troubled him—well, I would only listen. I’m so sorry that I didn’t get more involved while he was still alive. I gave my life to Christ a couple of years ago. I married Pammie. You remember her, Roya.” Jaizon said.

Roya sighed, “Ugh. Yes, Jaizon, I remember her. How could I forget?” She sipped on her grape soda pop.

“Well as I was saying, we weren’t even married a year yet and she wanted to know Christ for herself except she was watching the New World Order Ministries. She thought she was doing the right thing and called the local number to get the microchip in the mail for both of us while I was touring for my new album. When I came home, the house was a total chaos and I was unable to find her. After I cleaned the mess, she popped in the living room and then I saw the insertion lump in her right hand. It left a minor scar. She seemed drugged up; something wasn’t right with her.”

Isaiah interjected, “She wasn’t drugged up. They’re altering her brainwaves. It was hard for her to see clearly once she turned over to their world system. She knew you, but wanted you to take the insertion. She probably called them right after you left. They’re now keeping close tabs on you. They’ll do whatever it takes to find you! You’re welcome to join us. You’re not safe to go back home or to be acquainted with her. They’ll be looking for you. Like us, you’re wanted dead or alive!”

Lavonne interrupted to ask Jaizon about his meeting with Sondrea, “What were you doing at Sondrea’s house?”

“Good question. I was there to pay a month in advance. Now that I heard what Joshua said, I wonder if she’ll have the same problem making her mortgage payments. Nevertheless, she invited me to live in her house once I relocated to Los Angeles to get away from my wife in Tampa, Florida. I let my wife keep the house. I mean ex-wife, well I filed the divorce papers and I’m waiting for my attorneys to fax over the divorce decree soon.

“Sondrea and I became good friends once we performed at Greater New World Ministries over a year ago. We also did a couple songs together on my latest album. She hadn’t sold her home yet, and allowed me to rent it until I get on my feet once she moved in with Bernard. I’m not sure if he’s cool with the arrangements,” he said in a shaky voice.

“Wait, you mentioned Greater New World Ministries Church, which is Bernard’s church. I only went to that church once and he set me up there! There were agents dressed up as deacons…” Roya looked at Joshua, as if to confirm the kind of tactics he’d related about the young girl being transported to Atlanta.

Jaizon cut Roya off. “Dressed up as deacons? Bernard’s church is Greater New World Ministries. Hey, Roya, that makes sense. My ex-wife was watching New World Ministries and they’re tied in with other non-profit organizations and church ministries…they have the term “New World Ministries” in their church name. They have to be working with this political leader who's waiting for his time to reveal himself as a world leader, both politically and to unify the world’s religions.”

“Good point, Jaizon. We’ll look into that as well tonight,” Yosef said. He turned on his platinum thin notebook laptop.

“Well, those were secret agents for Satan. I saw their miraculous powers to make it look like natural tragedy. Lightning flew from their hands, and the tree nearly fell on top of me. I was terrified, but kept praying under my breath. God had me covered and roadblocks were everywhere in my path. I had to leap over a wired fence, but these city workers who worked for Waste Management helped me get over it and jump in the dump truck. Imagine that smell I had to endure until we reached our destination.” Roya whimpered on the last comment and frowned when she thought about the atrocious smell.

“Roya, what are you talking about?” Derrick asked. Others in the room looked quizzically at her, wondering as well.

“I know what she’s talking about. That happened last fall, before they attacked the twins. I had to fly down here to Los Angeles to help out.” Joshua defended Roya.

“Oh, that’s right. Joshua called me to get him a private jet out and got one of my friends to take him there,” replied Tommy, brushing his brows down with his finger.

“What are we going to do? I got a call from Luke a while ago and he’s affiliated with Task Force Special Ops. I think he has connections with Bernard or someone stationed here since he lives in Florida. I spotted him here in Los Angeles. I looked online an hour ago and found a picture of him. Basically, it was the same person who was chasing after Lavonne when she hopped in my car a couple hours ago.”

Isaiah stepped up. “Why didn’t you wait until we got here, Roya?”

“Isaiah, when I waited on you and the others to save me in the past, I lost half of my immediate family members. It reminds me of the fifty-million-pound challenge with Dr. Ian Smith! We are still counting!" She glanced around the room to see if anyone facial expressions changed. She curved a smile and light chuckle but no one got the joke. She proceeded with sternness, "So, many are afraid and scared for their families, where they’re taking the mark. Joshua, how many are camping out in my home and stayed there? Or did they get terrified and sneak out to get connected to the Big Brother tracking system? No one knows whether our secret service is really working for the Adversary, to remove us Christians if we do not convert. There are probably at least a million more by now who’ve taken the injection." Roya said, her voice getting introspectively quiet when she murmured the last sentence and slapping the palm of her hand where they normally would get the injection.

“To answer your question, Roya, you make a valid point. We’ve been losing dozens of people," Joshua said.

She interjected abruptly as her eyes became like slits. Her jaw dropped at his assertion. "Are you kidding me? Did you just hear the alarming number I just said, at least a million, not a dozen! Where's your head, Josh?" She clenched her hands and cracked her knuckles in frustration.

"We lost our agents and their whereabouts. Oddly enough, they haven’t returned or ratted us out. Normally, once they are converted, they’ll let the secret service and those commanding chiefs who interrogated them about our whereabouts. Either they were humiliated until they converted or mutilated for not taking the mark. Once they capture any one of us, they’ll ask each one of us, if we will take the chip in our bodies, and if we refuse, I cannot imagine our fates. We are the most wanted haters against the Antichrist belief system. They’ll torture us before they kill us! But, some of us may want to save our lives to stay on earth. Remember the Bible quotes, if you save your life, you will lose it and if you lose your life, it will be saved. In our last days, it means, if we take the mark of the beast, we will lose our lives in Hell once Jesus returns. If we are willing to lose our lives to demonstrate who we believe in, Jesus Christ, and not renounce our true Savior, we will live eternal life in Heaven once he returns a second time! Will we be able to hold on?” Joshua looked at each person’s facial expressions, wishing he could see what they were thinking.

Roya nodded sadly, her eyes tearing up. “That’s what they tried to do to us. Sol warned me when I was about to save my babies by agreeing. Oh, I know now, I wouldn’t have saved them, but condemned all my children instead.”

The others were left speechless, wondering in one accord, Where does my destiny and fate lie in the eyes of t
he Antichrist?

“Will I walk and not faint? Will I serve Yahweh all the days of my life even through tests, trials, and temptations or serve the Antichrist to save my life?”

We only know our strength in Jesus when the time comes.
