Between Good and Evil

She reached Isaac’s waist first, and undid his pants, tugging them down and off. Dane took off his while she worked on Isaac. Both of them lay there before her, naked, with identical smirks on their faces as she took them each in her hands. Stroking softly, she reveled in the velvet steel they presented her. Both were massive and she ached to have them inside of her.

“Okay. How do we go from here?” When had her voice become so husky? “I want to give you both blowjobs, but do we flip a coin? And then when you both fuck me…”

The boys glanced at each other, and Isaac shrugged. “Honestly, in the past, we always discussed this sort of thing before we got to this point. How do you feel about DP?”

It took a moment for Rune to remember what that meant. Double penetration. One in her pussy, the other in her ass. Heat flushed to her face as she gasped at the mental image of it. “I, um… well, I suppose I never thought about it. Wouldn’t it hurt?”

“Not if done properly,” Isaac assured her.

She bit her lip, but Dane shook his head. “I don’t have the lube or anything that we’d need for that. So, how’s this, you suck us both off,” here he winked, “and then since Isaac had you first before, I get you first this time.”

“You had her last time, though.”

  “Fine, let’s flip a coin.”

Rune laughed, loving the heady feeling of seeing these two men desire her so much. As they decided to go with rock, paper, scissors rather than a coin flip, she stroked them both. They hardened in her hands, and when Isaac won the first round, she bent over him and took him into her mouth. He groaned, hips bucking upward. Rune sucked on him, loving the taste as he hardened even further. Between her hand and watching, Dane also hardened quickly.

By the time Isaac spurted into her mouth and she swallowed, Dane was gripping the headboards. A fierce look of determination was on his face. Rune licked her lips, grinning, and bent over him. He didn’t last long, either, and soon she was swallowing down his seed as well. Isaac cuddled in behind her, stroking between her thighs as he pressed himself to her ass.

Dane seized her around the arms and pulled her up against his body. He caught her mouth with his, kissing her fiercely as the taste of both of them lingered on her tongue. Isaac draped himself over both of them, grinding himself to her ass as he kissed her back. The heat from both their bodies was so intense that Rune thought she might fly apart right then and there. Isaac’s hand was still on her clit, making her core tighten as she squirmed between them.

To her surprise, both had hardened again quickly. Clearly, what she had given them already wasn’t enough. She found herself wishing that she could have them both at once, but still shied away from the thought of a cock in her ass. Nothing had ever been up there, and she didn’t want it to be a bad experience because she wasn’t prepared.

“Condoms in the nightstand,” Dane grunted.

Isaac left them and rustled around before bringing back a few packages. Rune retrieved one. Looking Dane in the eye, she opened it with her teeth and slowly rolled it onto him. Dane growled. Heat burned in his eyes as he flipped them both over, her legs splayed before him. He tested her with a finger first then plunged in.

Rune let out a cry, clinging to him as pleasure coursed through her. Dane was hard and fast, his hips pumping like a man on fire. And he was on fire. Flames flickered in his mouth, cries burst from his throat. Isaac fondled her breasts, moving between them to suckle on one and then the other. All the while, Dane kept thrusting into her.

The pleasure twisted through her, running down her legs, making them shake. Her whole body jerked with the force of Dane’s thrusts. Her mouth was open as she clung to his arms. Isaac’s hands on her body made the heat coursing through her even more powerful. He kissed her neck and Dane moved to her other side. Isaac’s fingers slid over her clit, and she could not hold herself back. Waves of pleasure washed over her again and again and she screamed both their names.

Dane grunted, his movement becoming jerky as she clamped down on him. He finished again, collapsing over her. His teeth scraped over her skin and Rune lay there, writhing and gasping.

Slowly, Dane withdrew and rolled to one side. Sweat slicked his body and he grinned lazily at her. He arched a brow as he ran a hand down her front, touching her still-throbbing clit and receiving a moan in response. It was so sensitive even the light touch was almost painful. Isaac continued to kiss her, his mouth trailing down her arm as Dane stripped off his condom.

“Gods you’re good,” Rune sighed. She relaxed into the bed, feeling satisfied and languid. “But you shouldn’t have finished me so quickly. Now, what’s left for Isaac?”

  Isaac chuckled.

“You think that’s the end of it?” Dane shook his head in mock-sadness. “Just you wait, Rune Reid. You haven’t seen anything yet.”

  She hadn’t?

Isaac grinned at her, revealing his sharp fangs. Moving very slowly, he turned her to her side and lifted one of her legs over his hips. He stroked her soft skin slowly, languidly, and pressed gentle kissed to her mouth and jaw as he moved to her neck. He lingered at her pulse and her heart picked up again.

“Can I drink from you?” Isaac whispered.

How could she say no? The prospect of that pleasure made her nearly wild, but at the same time, there was a little fear, too. After all, what if she couldn’t take it? Her body was still riding on the orgasm that Dane gave her. She was feeling decidedly tender.

All the same, she had to say yes. She nodded, moaning in anticipation. This time, Isaac took the condom and put it on himself. Rune was about to say he didn’t need it since he hadn’t been drinking from her and so she couldn’t get pregnant from him, but then he was sliding into her and she couldn’t imagine that it could be any better.

Isaac waited until he was fully seated. Dane clamped his huge hand on her hips and held her still while the vampire started to thrust shallowly. The pleasure built more quickly this time. And then Isaac’s fangs were on her neck. Then they were in her. A sting of pain was followed by such mind-blowing pleasure that all Rune could do was cling to him. Her whole body felt like it was on fire. Her muscles were like jelly as he thrust hard and deep while sucking in great gulps.

Dane’s lips were on her neck and Rune could only do her best to hold onto her lovers. She could feel them, all of them. The pleasure riding through each of their bodies. The hardness of their loins. The feeling that the three of them were one being, one soul. Nothing could tear them apart.

Then everything went dark. And she could see the three of them, standing as clear as day before a tall vampire. A crown was on his head as he laughed triumphantly. A grin twisted his face as he pointed at Rune.

“From this day forward,” he hissed. “You belong to me.”

  “Rune!”

  She blinked, gasping for breath.

“Rune, wake up.” Hands gently shook her.

Her lungs were rather tight, like she’d been running, and she reached out her hands. She met two solid chests and pushed them gently, giving her space to breathe. Slowly, the setting came back to her. Dane’s king-sized bed. In his house. Isaac to one side of her, Dane on the other. Both with worried expressions. Her body pulsed with pleasure still as she lay there, panting to get her breath back.

“It was too much,” Isaac started to say.

Rune pressed a hand to his mouth. “No. No, not too much. Glorious.”

Dane chuckled, looking relieved. “You passed out.”

  “No, I had a vision.”

Isaac’s face fell. He swallowed thickly. “What sort of vision?”

She smiled at him, thinking about what she had seen. Her heart pounded still, and anxiety curled up her spine at the thought of it. It had to be Gregory. And he was claiming her? But she hadn’t sensed any fear from her future-self, or Isaac or Dane. So, it wasn’t as easy as all that, was it?

In any case, she didn’t want to ruin the moment with fears of the future. She reached for both her b
oys again, pulling them in closer. She pressed a kiss to Isaac and then Dane. Both of them relaxed against her and she felt a sleepy grin tug at her lips.

“So how was that for you two?”

  “Amazing,” they agreed together.

  Dane nodded. “It felt… right.”

“Good. Because you know what this means, right?”

They glanced at each other. Isaac grinned and nodded. “You are my mate. And you’re also Dane’s mate. The three of us are meant to be together, just like you were saying. I guess not even our stubbornness can stop that. Not even…”

“Not even me refusing to admit that everybody deserves a second chance?” Dane interrupted. A look of concern crossed his face. “But it doesn’t solve everything. I mean, if the police were to show up right now, the two of us would be arrested for harboring a fugitive. There is more to it than the three of us—”

“Hush.” Rune sighed as she put a hand over his mouth this time. “No, it’s not going to be easy and it is more than the three of us. But we’re meant to be together and the three of us will figure it out, if only we trust each other.”

  Chapter Thirteen

“The first thing we need to do is figure out how we can get around the whole laughing in triumph thing,” Rune said.

Isaac, sitting in the back of Dane’s truck, grunted. He didn’t like hiding and skulking like this, but it was unfortunately necessary. Dane had called each of his brothers and told them he was taking a bit of a vacation with Rune and a friend to figure some things out. When they’d returned home and smelled that a vampire had been in their house, they’d guessed it was Isaac.

They were banking on Keith’s conversation with Isaac the previous day to convince James and Patrick not to call the police down on them, but they had to plan for the worst. So, they were going back to Isaac’s hidden caves. Rune said she needed to contact the universe, and apparently there were good vibrations there.

“After we stop Gregory from world domination, we can figure out what will happen with the three of us,” Dane agreed.

Isaac nodded, pulling his ballcap lower over his eyes. He had already decided on what he was going to do, though. Once this was over, and assuming they were successful, he was going to turn himself in. He wasn’t going to force Dane to make that choice, or potentially put himself and Rune in trouble with the law for not handing him over to the cops.

He’d been running too long. Too long, hiding and pretending like he didn’t have any choices in his life when really, it was just because he was afraid. So, he would turn himself over to the police. Whatever they wanted to do with him after that… well, it was up to the law and a jury. He’d accept it. As long as he knew that his best friend wasn’t trying to kill him, and his mate would be there, visiting him every chance she got.

They got out of the city quickly, and from there Dane flew them to Isaac’s cave. He and Dane got Rune settled into the right spot for the vibrations and then retreated to Isaac’s little lair deep in the mountain.

“How often do you stay here?” Dane asked, brow furrowed. “And how many of these hideouts do you have?”

“I come here only when I really need to get away. Usually, I bring along a few weeks worths of blood and I don’t leave until… well, I’m ready to go back to the Starlight Mountains. I hate it,” Isaac admitted as he sat on the bed. “I hate everything about it.”

Dane sat beside him. It was the first time it was just the two of them without Rune to run interference. Now, Isaac wasn’t certain how it was going to go. There were so much anger and pain between the two of them.

“I’m sorry,” Isaac blurted. His hands clenched as he thought about that day, all those years ago. The look on Dane’s face as he saw what had happened. The look of James’ pale face. The taste of his blood still on Isaac’s tongue. “It was an accident. I didn’t realize… If I had known—"

“I know.” Dane bumped him with his shoulder. “I know.”

“But that’s not enough, is it?”

Dane hesitated a moment, then shook his head. “No. It isn’t. I wish it was, but it isn’t. James is my little brother, Isaac, and even though you didn’t realize it, you did hurt him. It’s going to take me a while to get over that. And I can’t promise it’s going to be… you know,” he gestured in a straight line, “it’s going to be forward and backward, and I think I’ll get over it and then I’ll be furious with you again.”

Isaac nodded. “I would expect nothing else.”

Dane scowled. “It’d help if you were just a little less… I don’t know… Submissive about the whole thing.”

“Submissive?” Isaac gaped at him. “There’s no call for that sort of insult, Hemmerick. Just because I own up to the fact that I was in the wrong doesn’t make me submissive. I’ll tear out your tongue if you ever call me that again.”

“How else do you explain how you behave with Gregory, then?” Dane arched a brow challengingly. “You don’t call that being submissive?”

Isaac opened his mouth to argue, but Dane had a good point there. He scowled, hating to admit it. Apparently, it wasn’t just his relationship with Dane that had eroded over time. It was also his pride. Of course, he had tried to fight back and had done so in many ways. But the fact was, he had submitted himself under Gregory.

After a moment, Dane cleared his throat. “Isaac… there is something I need to ask you. And I know that you might not want to answer, but please tell me the truth.”

  Tensing, Isaac nodded.

“I’ve heard stories about Gregory. About what sort of things he… likes. In his servants.”

Isaac remembered the last time he’d knelt before Gregory. The way he’d been with those two women, as though he was enjoying putting on a show for Isaac. The way Isaac had been afraid of exactly what Dane was asking. He let out a soft breath, wondering how much truth to tell.

“He never compelled me to sleep with him,” Isaac said slowly. “And I never did, so you know. It’s not just that he never compelled me. He never asked me, either. But, lately, when he’s called me… he’s been with women. And offered to let me ‘join in’. I don’t know what stories you’ve heard, but I don’t think he’d force the issue with anybody… So, you don’t have to be worried about Rune if he manages to get his hands on her.”

Dane’s shoulders relaxed. “That’s good to know. All of it.”

Isaac inclined his head. Some of the tension in his shoulders eased as well, and he stood to stretch. “She is something, isn’t she? All curves and loving every inch of them.”

“Yeah.” Dane grinned. “A lot of women with frames like hers buy into the ridiculous human notion that they aren’t attractive because they aren’t stick figures. But her confidence… It makes her even more attractive.”

Isaac grinned. “It does, indeed.” He started to pace. “This is the part I like least. The waiting.”

  “You, Mr. Patience? Hate waiting?”

“I can’t even start strategizing,” Isaac complained. “Until she comes back with some answers about what she saw, I can’t plan for anything. So there’s only waiting. And talking, I guess.”

  Dane chuckled and was quiet.

“Keith told me,” Isaac said abruptly.

  Dane arched a brow.

“Where you live. Keith told me, years ago. I found him and took him home. He was drunk, in bad shape and I looked after him until he was back in a state of mind to go home. He told me where you lived then. I’ve stopped by every once in a while, to see how you were doing… to see how James was doing. And I was at his grad ceremony.” Isaac grinned as he remembered how proud he’d been of James on that day. How proud he’d been of all of them. “You’ve done a really good job with them. They’re all strong, brave and smart. You did… you did well.”

Dane smiled briefly as he nodded. “Thanks.”

  Isaac returned the nod.

“Keith told me where you lived, too.”

  “Figured.”

  “I guess nei
ther of us can be too mad at him, though. He’s like a kid trying to get his parents back together.”

Isaac had to laugh at the analogy. Keith was a good kid. Sensitive and smart. He’d have done anything to see the family back together. Isaac still had a hard time believing that anybody would forgive him as Keith had, but Keith was a special case.

“He did the same thing when Patrick and his boyfriend were fighting. The kid just doesn’t like it when people fight. He wishes everybody would just be understanding, forgiving… Either he’s going to be hurt a lot in life or he’s going to change the world.”

“Oh, he’s going to change the world. You can be certain of that.” Isaac nodded, as though just by saying it, it was so.

  “I hope so,” Dane agreed.

They lapsed into silence again. Isaac tried to think of ways they could bring down Gregory without causing a war. The vampire kingdoms were separate entities from the human governments, although technically the vampires were meant to still be subject to the law of the land. If there was some way to get the humans involved…

But humans didn’t like to upset the status quo. They’d let other people suffer, as long as they were far away, out of sight and sufficiently different from themselves. Isaac couldn’t really blame them, as fragile as they were, but it meant that vampires had to take care of themselves. Just like shifters had to take care of themselves.

“So. About earlier.” Dane picked a piece of lint off his sleeve and dropped it to the floor. “Just like old times, eh?”

Isaac tightened as he thought about Rune between their bodies. Her supple skin and succulent breasts begging for his mouth against her. The taste of her skin, the sound of her moans. The feel of her legs wrapped around him. She was so perfect for him, for them, and watching her get her pleasure from Dane had been almost as good as being inside her himself.

“It’s funny,” he mused. “I don’t even watch porn. Tried it, didn’t like it. I just don’t like watching. But when it was you and Rune…”
