  Afterword

  2018 was a bit of a strange year for me. In addition to relocating again, I also had to deal with the death of my father right after the release of Devil’s Conflict. Throughout my entire career, both my parents have been very supportive of my writing endeavors (though my father wasn’t always pleased with some of the language I use in my books—sorry, Dad!). As a result of such a tumultuous year, my writing experienced a number of setbacks, which is why 2018 only saw the release of two books.

  I’m hoping 2019 will be different. Now that I’m completely settled in my new life, I’m planning to devote more time to my writing. And that starts with the sixth and final book in the Luther Cross series.

  “What? Final book?!”

  That’s right, the sixth book will be the final book in this series. But don’t pull out the pitchforks and torches yet! This absolutely doesn’t mean I’m closing the book on Luther and his world. I’ve been sowing the seeds for spin-off series all throughout the books you’ve read so far. I’m not quite ready to reveal who the first spin-off will focus on, but I’m sure it will be both surprising and interesting for all you fans.

  Thank you for your patience throughout these slow releases. I’ve already started the sixth book and plan to have it out by the spring of 2019 at the latest. And a special thanks to everyone who has signed up to my mailing list and also joined the Luther Cross Fans group on Facebook. Your kind words of support and your participation in group discussions has meant a lot to me.

  About the Author

  Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Percival Constantine grew up on a fairly consistent diet of superhero comics, action movies, video games, and TV shows. At the age of ten, he first began writing and has never really stopped.

  Percival has been working in publishing since 2005 in various capacities—author, editor, formatter, letterer—and has written books, short stories, comics, and more. He has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mass Media from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in English and Screenwriting from Southern New Hampshire University. He currently resides in southern Japan, where he teaches literature and film while continuing to write.
