Free Spirit: Book Two of The Bound Spirit Series

First, I have to thank my other half, Adam Rumage. He truly has the patience of a saint. While I was learning how to juggle both writing and all that entails of being an Indie author, his support was unwavering through this journey. Sometimes it was goodnight kisses then leaving me to work late into the night, while other times it was gentle encouragement to take breaks and sleep regularly. He’s the first to sing my praises, and I never doubt how much he loves me and how proud he is of me. I couldn’t ask for a better person to share my life with.
Next, I have to thank my amazing team:
To my content editor, handler, and overall right-hand woman, Courtney Pinelli, thank you so much for being the amazingly insightful, funny, and compassionate you. I truly couldn’t do this without you. I swear I feel the list of things you do for me is endless: tirelessly working on every step of Free Spirit with me, listening to me ramble about all the random thoughts I have about the series for hours (then reminding me to focus on Free Spirit first), making sure I eat and take regular breaks throughout the day so I don’t starve to death and become permanently glued to my computer chair, and so much more. You’re irreplaceable. I feel extremely lucky to call you both a colleague and a friend. And as always, I <3 your face.
To my group moderators/ alpha team, thank you so much for all of your hard work, dedication, and support. I’m going to try and keep this short, but know I could go on for ages about each and every one of you.
Elizabeth Monge, thank you for your sharp mind, compassionate heart, and momma bear attitude. Your willingness to take on the hard jobs is what allows me to stay Lavender Queenie.
Ronika Williams, thank you for your positivity, diligence, and critical eye. I always feel more confident that my work is ready to be seen by the world after you’ve been through it.
Sheena Reilly, thank you for your liveliness, honesty, and hardcore commitment. I know with you around that The Bound Spirit Coven will always run smoothly and never grow dull. (As long as no one touches your sandwiches.)
Angie Every, thank you for your enthusiasm, joy, and humor. I love reading your reactions to what I write and you’re one hell of a hype woman. No one can resist your charm.
My new team members, Alisha McCoy and Mallory Kent, thank you for your excitement and focus. You both jumped in head first and immediately fit in as part of our weird brand of crazy. I’m grateful you agreed to be part of my team and I’ll do my best to keep you properly fed on spoilers and smut.
Andrea Villaseñor, Mike Helix, and Chelsea Vargeson, thank you for being such amazing friends as well as dedicated alphas. There’s something amazingly special about having such close friends be genuinely enthused and excited about my work and want to be a part of it. It doesn’t hurt that you all actually want to talk about this fictional world that takes up so much of my mental real estate.
To my copy editor, Susan Bishop, thank you for once again taking up the mantel of making sure this behemoth of a book is ready to be seen by the masses. Hopefully, it wasn’t too painful.
Next, I want to thank my betas. You’re overwhelming support and enthusiasm for Free Spirit did a lot to set my second book jitters at ease. After working so hard to bring Free Spirit into reality, being able to live chat with some of you as you read was especially amazing. There was much squeeing.
Thank you to all of my family and friends. You’ve been exceptionally supportive and extremely patient with me and the many times I’ve had to bail early or pass on activities to finish work on my book. I swear I’ll work on the whole work/ life balance thing.
I want to send a special thank you to all of the members of my author group, The Bound Spirit Coven. Every time I’m in there chatting with you all it’s fun, hilarious, and supportive. You guys are awesome.
And last, but certainly not least, thank you, dear reader, for joining me on the next chapter of Callie and her boys’ journey. Without you, I couldn’t do what I love. I hope you enjoyed it, and that we’ll see each other again in the next installment.
Now I’m off to take a much-needed nap and perhaps relearn the definition of relaxing. Who am I kidding? These little shits have taken over my life and won’t shut up. It’s back to writing and I’ll sleep when I’m dead.
Best Witches!
