I have never chosen anyone before. But I choose him, no matter what.

Darius
“What the fuck is your problem?”
“I don’t have a problem, it’s you that’s got the problem.” I growl at the idiot in front of me. This is the most I have spoken to the most in two days. The reason their guys have been running so amuck is because their pres stepped down, skipped town, and never told anyone.
They’ve been on some bullshit ever since. The cops have been in and out of here, so I have had to be really careful not to draw attention to myself and get in even more trouble. I managed to go to one of their club nights and slip in incognito. Their vice pres is still around but he’s just as crazy and unreasonable, so talking to him is like talking to a brick wall. I eventually say my peace and I’m glad I don’t have to knock a few skulls together to do it.
“You don’t want to be pres? Fine. But you better get these guys in line, or else the Devil’s Princes will just cease to exist.” I swiftly remind him.
I leave the club that night angry. I wanted to be heading home today. But I arrive back at my shitty motel and fill Rafe in. He hates all this shit just as much as me and we both want a solution as fast as possible. That’s why the suggestion to take over their club isn’t as crazy as it sounds. We end up getting on a call with the rest of the club. I hear Kit’s voice and fill with dread at still lying to him, but besides that it goes well. I’m just glad that I can see Amy soon, once this is all over.
I make a promise to myself that I will tell Kit about us when I get back, sooner rather than later. He doesn’t deserve me lying to him, I hate making his sister lie. But now that I know this is real between us, it will be like making it more official when we tell him. And hopefully he doesn’t hate my guts afterward.
The next morning Rafe comes into town and we settle shit with the Devil’s Princes. It’s been going on for years now and we finally have peace. No more turf wars, stealing our goods, it’s all settled. Which we did by merging the clubs. One of the other guys who isn’t tied down will oversee it, maybe one of the older guys in the club longer.
“Thanks for doing this. I know it wasn’t always easy.” Rafe says to me on the walk back to our bikes. I’m glad to leave this shitty motel behind. Not that I have a pension for the finer things, just an aversion to roaches. But I had to be secretive coming here.
“Yeah, don’t worry about it. Club business.” I shrug. He agrees.
“Now it’s settled. Who will you terrorize now?” He jokes. I manage a laugh for good faith, but he is right there.
“Who knows.”
I get back on my bike and we ride in tandem back into the town. I’m sure the club has already got something going for our return. Rafe told them about it already so I’m not surprised when I pull into a huge lot of bikes I don’t even recognize. Hopefully the Devil’s Princes don’t plan on partaking in our parties anytime soon, though.
Amy is the only person I really want to see, but it would look weird if I didn’t come by and if Kit is here, I don’t want him asking questions. Fortunately for me, he isn’t. I haven’t got much sleep and my reasoning isn’t sound, I would just blurt it out. Amy should at least be there with me when we tell him.
I’m handed a beer by a faceless person I don’t even register as I make my way to the bar. My body is sore and tired, but the company and the alcohol somewhat help. Logan and Spencer talk to me in turn. Rafe comes out eventually and they all have their girls there too. Apparently, Kit was here earlier but had to go help his girlfriend with something, I wasn’t really listening. I text Amy that I’m back, where the guys won’t look over my shoulder or something.
“I’m heading out.” I tell them. My skin is itching to see her, my cock has missed her these past few days.
“What, already?” Logan nudges me. I sigh and put my second beer down.
“Yeah man. Tired.” I make something up.
“Oh right, well good job out there.” He claps my shoulder and the other guys agree.
“Thanks.” I say my goodbyes and head out into the cool night air.
There’s a pep in my step I never noticed. It has been there since I started things with Amy and wasn’t only thinking about her every day for almost years now. Even more so since I told her I love her. I have never felt that before, never thought it was a real thing, but it is. For her, it consumes me and it’s all I really have in this life. After losing almost everything that matters to me. I finally told Olivia about her, and the first thing she told me was that I have to tell Kit, which I know, but she is happy for me. We have both had so much darkness in our lives, sadness, I’m lucky to have something to make me happy. I’m not keen on the idea of Olivia with any men but if that’s what she wants, I will support her too. Thinking of her keeping a secret from me like this is what convinces me to tell Kit soon. Tomorrow probably, after the gym when he is inherently happier.
I make it Amy’s house, and rush up to ring the doorbell. She knows I’m coming so she opens the door in seconds. I take in her beautiful face and the bright yellow shirt she has on, she’s my literal sunshine.
“Darius—” I cut her off before she can even finish by kissing her.
I shut the door and have her up against it in seconds. I breathe in her rosy sweet scent, tangle my hands in her silky hair and then explore her body. Her perfect round ass and full tits. My cock is rock hard already and I grind against her. I lift her up and stumble to the first surface I can find, their dining room table. My lips start a slow trail down her neck, over her collar bone. I lift her shirt away and tug her jeans off with her panties at the same time and I have her naked in seconds.
“That’s record timing.” She giggles and is breathless.
I grin at her fully and her eyes widen. “I missed you. Thought about you every second. Cause I love you so damn much it’s crazy.” I step back over to her and she tugs my jacket and shirt away. Her warm hands are soft, trailing down my body before she grips my cock.
“I want to taste you.” She undoes my jeans and my eyes widen.
“Damn,” she sounds fucking hot saying that shit to me. I know Amy doesn’t have that much experience. I have given her everything, but I’m glad she is eager with it already.
I sink onto the chair and she gets on her knees, looking up at me as she fists my cock and starts sucking me. My eyes roll back as I slip my fingers in her hair, grabbing her silky strands and fucking her mouth.
“Jesus, I’m gonna come if you keep doing that, babe,” I warn her. She giggles against me and it makes her vibrate over me. My balls tighten and I’m more shocked when she cups them in her hand, raking her nails over them. My knees buckle and I have to tug her away, feeling myself right on the edge.
“I need to be inside you.” I stop her pouting by kissing her, loving how our tastes mingle together.
She moans against my lips and opens her legs as I set her back on the table. I slide my fingers through her folds and get her ready, then I’m inside her in seconds.
“Oh, Darius. I’ve missed your cock.” She cries out, her sweet moans the best music to my ears.
“It’s missed your pussy, too.” I tighten already and am way too close. I go slower than I normally would and rub her clit to get her there faster. I alternate kissing her and sucking on her sweet nipples until she writhes under me with an orgasm.
“Oh god,” she moans, it catches in her throat as she hangs onto me tightly and then I’m spilling into her seconds later.
I kiss her over and over as we come down together.
“I love you, Darius. So much. I was so worried about you every day.” She cradles my face and studies me like she is looking for scars or something, they’re all internal now.
“I know, babe. I’m fine. It all worked out for the better. You don’t have to worry about me.” I tell her.
She nods softly and I lean in to kiss her, coaxing our lips together as I taste her tongue. My cock twitches again and
I hold myself at bay. I want to get reacquainted with her the proper way. Tied up. Begging for me.
“Let’s go upstairs.” I murmur against her lips.
She doesn’t get a chance to respond before the front door starts making noise.
“You have a burglar?” I tug my jeans on and ask her.
“No—oh fuck.” She jumps up and tries to put her clothes back on quickly, but she only gets as far as her sweater and panties before footsteps ensue. I’m about to ask her who the hell that is but then I don’t have to.
“Hey, I left my charger—”
Kit.

Amy
My pulse is racing. I feel sick to my stomach, sicker than I have ever felt before. It sinks all the way into my bones, and I am frozen. It doesn’t take a genius to know what happened here.
“What the fuck is going on?” Kit is already turning red, his fists balled up by his side.
My chest heaves as I glance to Darius, still shirtless and in his jeans.
“Kit, you should have knocked.” I grab my jeans and tug them on quickly.
“That doesn’t answer my question.” He looks to Darius. “What the hell is going on man?” He asks him like he doesn’t expect him to lie.
“Just… hear me out. It’s not what you think.” Darius says. His voice is shaky for the first time I have ever heard it that way.
“Not what I think? It looks like you just fucked my sister, am I wrong?”
I step up to Kit, “Please, just calm down. You don’t hear anything when you’re mad like this. Darius and I are together, and we’ve wanted to tell you for a while—”
“Together?” He yells. “Fuck that. I know what he’s into. You’re sick!” He yells at him and I push against Kit when he tries to head toward Darius. I don’t want a fight to break out, but both these men are inherently larger than me. I might not get my way.
“I’m sorry.” Darius puts on his shirt and steps back into his boots. Kit is still reeling with anger, though, and I don’t think we are going to be able to get through to him.
“Fuck that. You’re a fucking liar, man!” Kit yells and steps around me.
I can’t stop him once he does and the sound of his fist colliding with Darius’s face sends bile up my throat.
“Stop!” I scream out, but it’s no use. Darius doesn’t hit him back, but he tries to keep him off him. I know he is holding back because he has a hundred pounds on Kit. He could toss him across the room easily but he doesn’t because of me.
“Stop this, Kit. My life is none of your business anyway.” I grab his shoulder and pull him away; it takes everything I have but I put some distance between them. He’s heaving with anger and Darius is clutching his split lip.
“I can’t believe you would do this.” Kit growls.
“I thought you wouldn’t approve, and I didn’t want to hurt her, but I love Amy.” Darius says, his voice is deep and seeps with more emotion than when he told me he loved me. Kit is his best friend; I hate that we did this.
“That’s not the fucking point. If you had been up front with me, I never would have discounted you man, but now you’re just a fucking liar.” Kit throws his hands up and shakes his head.
“I’m out of here.” He turns on his heel and leaves with a hard slam of the door.
As soon as he does, the tears leave my eyes and I can’t stop them. I hate that I hurt him. I hate that all of this is even happening.
“I don’t think he’ll ever forgive me.” I wipe my eyes and turn to Darius. His face softens and he reaches out for me. When he pulls me into a sweltering hug, I melt against him. I’m glad that he is here to comfort me, but I can’t decide how to feel.
“Of course, he will. You’re his sister.”
“What about you?” I look up at him, his lip is swollen and slightly bleeding.
“Eventually. Club brothers… we’ll figure it out.” He cups my chin and lifts it up. “You’re worth it to me, Amy. Everything.”
I manage a soft smile. I’m more worried about him than me and Kit. We are siblings after all.
“Let me put something on your lip.” I tug him along to the kitchen.
He’s silent as I dab alcohol him. He doesn’t even jump from the stinging. My heart sinks for him and I know it was hard to keep from fighting Kit back. And I’m not saying he is a naturally violent person but when someone is punching, you it takes a lot of self-control not to punch back. And he didn’t. He would have sent my poor brother to the hospital.
For the rest of the night, we just relax, and he fills me in on some of the stuff he did over there, but not all of it. Most of the stuff from the club goes over my head but I listen anyway. I keep trying to call Kit and he doesn’t answer, then it just goes straight to voicemail.
“Leave it alone, babe. He’s not ready to talk yet.”
“How can you be so calm about this?” I shut my phone off and snuggle up against him in my bed.
“Because I’m a man and I know how we think. Girls talk shit to death. But us men, we just need a few days to be pissed. But I’m gonna apologize to him, I know I was wrong. Even if he isn’t listening.” He explains.
I nod once. I kiss his warm cheek and his beard tickles my lips.
“Did you always have a beard?” I trace it with my fingers aimlessly.
“No,” he chuckles and turns to kiss my fingertips. My hand falls to his bare chest. I thought about having sex with him all night when he came home but now it doesn’t really feel right and I’m sure he feels that way too.
“You ever think about shaving it?”
“You don’t like it?” He runs his hand down it.
“No, I do.” I giggle softly. “I like everything about you.” I smile.
“Yeah, me too.” He sighs and turns to me, cradling my cheek in his hand.
“You’re sunshine in my life, Amy. You make me so happy I’m afraid I’ll wake up one of these days and find out it was all a fucking dream.” His deep voice seeps with vulnerability.
“It’s not a dream, Darius. It’s real.” I kiss him fully, his lips blend with mine and our tongues tangle up in each other.
“I just hope Kit doesn’t stay mad at me forever you know.”
“Yeah, I do too. Don’t worry, babe. It will be fine.” He assures me. And he sounds so confident that I inherently believe him.
“Even if it isn’t… I’m not letting you go Darius. I love you.” I tell him, and I hope that he believes me too.
“I love you too, Amy. Forever.”
Epilogue: Darius
Five Years Later
Amy smiles at me from across the bedroom and it sets my body on fire. It’s always something like that around her, she is always warming me up from the inside.
“It’s about time you played doctor with me.” I chuckle.
“Shut up, I can’t be distracted today.” She giggles and turns to the mirror to tie her hair up. It’s always like that unless we’re at home. I see her a lot less these days.
It took Kit a long time to come around, longer than I had hoped. It hurt me to see Amy hurt over it every day. He more didn’t like me, but I wasn’t about to leave her over it. She deserves happiness and the fact that I’m a piece of that is insane, but I wasn’t going to leave her behind. Not for a minute. She’s so damn perfect, smart and beautiful, I could never leave her, and I didn’t. I think it’s why Kit came around eventually. We weren’t having family dinners off the bat but now, we see each other pretty often. Amy chose the hospital nearby for her residency, so she didn’t have to leave. And I thought about marrying her a lot. I told her that I wanted to. But she wants to wait and start a family after she has finished her training, and when she is a fellow, she is open to it. That gives me a year to plan the perfect engagement and hope she says yes.
“You look gorgeous.” I tell her, even though she is just wearing her jeans and a tee shirt. She changes into her scrubs and white coat at the hospital. But I was hopeful for some role play when
I saw her grab the stethoscope.
“Thanks.” She sighs. “I’m exhausted.” She sits on the bed to put on her shoes. I’m still naked from the morning sex we had and though she was tired, it woke her right up.
“Drink coffee, I guess.” I chuckle once. I laugh more around her now, smile more. Olivia noticed it and so did all the guys at the club.
“Yeah right. But I’ll be home early. I don’t have rounds.”
“Good. I’ll take you on a proper date.” I grin. We go to the restaurant above the book shop whenever she has time for our date night. And make out in the same aisle too.
“Sounds fun.” She leans over and kisses me.
Sometimes I forget how much I love this woman. She has changed my life so much I find it hard to believe. I told her about my dad starting the club and why it was so hard when he passed away, why the club meant so much to me. She’s the one that enticed me to tell the other guys too and I did. I thought they would be pissed but they weren’t. It was after I made up with Kit anyway, and I’m glad that we did. He’s been my friend for a long time and things were even better with Amy and I after we made up.
“See you tonight.” I kiss her again and slap her ass as she leaves.
I go through my usual daily shit; work out, go to the bar Mike used to own and then to the club. I’m home before five and just waiting on Amy. Sometimes Kit comes over, but he’s married now, living the husband life and has to be home by dinner or whatever. I smile a bit at wanting that life too.
I get sappy as hell and make dinner for Amy too. She works so hard; I don’t want her to worry about anything when she comes home. She moved in with me and kept her parent’s house alone, she doesn’t want to sell it because of all the memories, and they owned it too.
