We’ll make memories here, maybe someplace else once we have kids or something. I’m open to anything. By the time she arrives, I’m itching to see her, and I hope I always have this feeling. I know I already will.
“You cooked?” She giggles against me and I kiss her instead of answering.
“Yeah, your favorite.” I chuckle. And I’m glad that her favorite is easy shit like Mac and cheese.
“How nice of you.” She smiles and wraps her arms around me. I lift her from the front door and carry her to the living room. It’s like I can’t think straight until I have her. I make sweet love to her and then fuck her hard as I always do, nothing has changed there.
After we eat naked on the couch, I hold her close to me as she starts to fall asleep.
“You wanna shower?” I ask her. She hums against me and looks at me sleepy eyed.
“Too tired.”
I chuckle, “I’ll give you a bath then.”
“Do I smell like hospital again?” She half smiles.
“A little.” I laugh once. I kiss her forehead and then her lips.
“Come on.”
I carry her upstairs and make a special occurrence out of bathing with her, sitting in the bubbles and holding each other. The fact that my life is this perfect is unbelievable, but I’m not prepared to contest it. I love her so much it hurts me, makes me happy, makes my life worth living. With her by my side, I’m a better man. The club made me better but she gave me more than I could have bargained for. I was just a beast before I met her; angry, alone, but Amy gave me light and happiness.
And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
