A Trillion to One

“Thank God,” Amore said as she raised her hands in the air like she was shouting,
“But seriously, congrats Love. I’m proud of you,” Trillion said while pulling her in for a kiss.
“Thanks baby. I don’t know what I did to deserve you but I’m grateful. You pushed me but you never let me fall. You never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself. Words could never describe how much that means to me,” Amore said as tears fell from her eyes.
Crying was not something that she did very often but she was emotional. They were tears of joy but those were the kind that she didn’t mind shedding. Amore remembered crying herself to sleep at night when she was with Viper but that part of her life was behind her now. She had come a long way since then and she knew without a doubt that she was blessed.
“Don’t cry Love. You know I don’t like to see that shit,” Trillion replied while pulling her onto his lap.
“I’m just happy, that’s all,” Amore assured him.
“Good, that’s what I like to hear.” Trillion smiled.
“I have a lot to be happy about. I got three beautiful kids, a fine ass husband and books that are selling like snowballs on a hot summer day,” Amore laughed.
“I always think about the first time we met in the casino. I swear I thought you were the most beautiful woman that I’d ever laid eyes on. Then, when you curved me so many times, I was like fuck it and gave up. I’m happy that everything played out the way it did though. I can’t even picture my life without you in it. Look at us now. What are the odds of that?” he asked as he kissed her cheek.
“A trillion to one,” Amore replied as they both laughed at their little inside joke.
