The feeling that raced up and down his spine was unlike anything he’d ever felt before. His body responded so hard his dick dripped with his arousal. Colten leaned forward and kissed his back before his tongue traced the same pattern. Even his taste drove him over the edge.
“Declan,” he groaned. “When the hell did you start smelling so good?”
The omega moaned underneath him. Declan’s hand fluttered to his length, and he stroked it as Colten grinned. He can’t even keep his hands off of himself with me around. The thought stroked more than his ego as he ran his tongue up and down his ass before he slipped his tongue inside.
Declan cried out and the sound filled the space of the garage. Colten was sure he had never heard such an amazing symphony in his life. The omega wasn’t satisfied though and it showed as he pushed back and mewled desperately.
“Wait,” Colten panted as he restrained himself with what little self-control that he had left. “I don’t have condoms or anything.”
“I’m clean,” Declan said quickly. “I haven’t been with anyone in years. And I was tested after the last time.”
Colten felt relieved at that fact. He couldn’t explain why, but it made him feel good that he’d take Declan and that no one else had him in months. And no one else will ever have him again. Colt gripped his cock and rubbed it along his wet hole before he held back once more, even as it tested the limits of his resolve.
“What if you get pregnant?”
“I have emergency pills back home. It’ll be okay. Please, Colten. Please.”
Colten swallowed thickly. The way Declan begged for him broke any lasting idea of that he would be able to restrain himself around the man. Instead, he spread him open and plunged his cock inside of him.
Declan hissed and then moaned as he sank inside inch by agonizingly slow inch. The way he gripped Colten’s cock made the alpha wild. He wanted to buck and thrust and claim him, but he knew that he had to take his time. Or at least he had to do his best.
His head swam as he gripped Dec’s hips and yanked him back against his body. The older man moaned his name in barely intelligible English as he panted against the floor of the garage and writhed against his body. Colten watched the way his ass bounced against his abdomen as he started to move on his own, and he slapped the juicy roundness of his ass.
It was so wrong. Colten had felt drawn to Declan since he was young and now he was buried deep in his ass as his heat consumed him. His hand slipped up his back and into his hair before he pulled Declan against his body. The blond kissed his throat, the hard, stubbled set of his jaw and finally, he kissed his lips.
Declan’s mouth parted as soon as Colten’s lips touched his and accepted the kiss. His tongue slipped into Colt’s mouth and explored before the alpha nipped his lip and tugged. Declan jolted and pulsed as he grabbed his hand and placed it over his pert nipples.
“More,” he moaned. “Colten fuck me more. Here,” he panted and squeezed his nipples.
Colten didn’t hesitate. He stroked his digits over his hardened, brown nipples and squeezed them. Declan convulsed in his grip and it took all of his strength to keep him pressed flush against his body, so he wouldn’t fall down.
His tongue traced his throat and the urge to bite slammed into him hard. Colten had never wanted to mark anyone the way that he craved to mark Declan. His teeth worried his soft flesh and his wolf howled in approval.
Mark. Mine. Mate.
It shot through him like lightning, and he was so startled he slowed. Mate? The question bugged his wolf as if he’d asked the world's stupidest question, but Colt didn’t understand. He knew Declan because he was close to his family, but that was it. He definitely didn’t know him enough to be trying to mate with him.
What is wrong with me?
Colten couldn’t put his finger on it before he was yanked back to Declan’s irresistible body. His hand gripped his waist, and he let the omega back down until he was on the ground once more. His ass poked up into the air and wrapped around his cock was too sweet of an image, and he bucked his hips wildly into him.
“Yes,” Declan moaned. “Yes, claim me. Cum in me.”
It’s just the heat talking. Colten tried to convince himself of that. He’d only been around two omegas when they were in heat, and they were close friends. He had seen how worked up they could get, but he’d never wanted one as bad as he wanted Declan. Colten ached to make the man his in every sense of the word.
Declan’s fingers ran over the rough surface of the garage floor as he cried out Colten’s name for the entire world to hear. If they had any close neighbors he knew they would have gotten an earful, but they lived miles away from their closest neighbors. Not that he cared. Colten wanted the whole world to know that Declan belonged to him and him alone.
“Knot me,” Declan cried.
Colten groaned. “You don’t know what you’re saying.”
“I do,” he urged. “I need it so bad it hurts.”
Consequences flew out of the window in Colten’s head. The only thing that burned deep in his bones was the urge to knot Declan. His teeth nipped Declan’s back, and he settled for that instead of the claiming bite that felt right for the moment.
Colt picked up speed. The sound of his skin as it slapped against Dec’s filled the garage and only made his cock grow harder. Declan was lost to words, his body slackened, and he drooled as Colten worked himself in and out of him.
The sensation built in his gut until it was amplified and unavoidable. He was surprised he’d been able to hold out for so long, but that was at an end. Colten shoved himself deep and his knot swelled. They were locked together, inseparable when his balls drew up, and he deposited his cum deep inside of Declan.
Colten’s wolf approved as he leaned on Declan’s back and tried to catch his breath. Sweat had beaded and pooled down his flesh, but he didn’t mind. Declan was still held firmly in his arms and that was what he cared about most.
“Gods,” Declan mumbled. “I don’t think any part of me is functioning correctly.”
Colten laughed. “Is that a good thing?”
“I have no idea. My brain isn’t working,” he slurred.
“That’s definitely not what I thought was going to happen when I came home to wash clothes. Definitely a bonus.”
Declan burst into laughter and grabbed his hand. Colten let him and sighed as he enjoyed the way their scents enveloped each other like they were always supposed to be together. Like they belonged together.
Chapter 3
Declan
Every muscle twinged in his body both from exhaustion and satisfaction. He’d never felt so contented even as his heat continued to rage through him. At least it’s calmed down a little. Colten slowly pulled out, and he felt his seed as it splashed down his thighs and the emptiness at his mate not being near him anymore.
My mate.
It still stunned him that he understood the sensation that rippled through his body. His wolf knew it. The calling that was said to have died out decades ago apparently hadn’t. Colten was his fated mate. They belonged together the same way the sun was destined to rise and set every day.
It felt natural like he’d finally found the last missing piece of the puzzle. That was the feeling he wanted to bask in, even if he was still on the rough and warm floor of Frank’s garage. Colten stroked a hand over his body and his lips brushed the back of his throat.
“We should probably get you up and into a shower,” Colten laughed.
“My body refuses to move.”
“Do I have to carry you?”
Declan grinned. “I doubt you could even accomplish that.”
The man gasped in surprise when Colten lifted him up into his arms. He was so much younger than him, but he moved the man like he weighed nothing at all. Declan wanted to protest, but his body was still exhausted and his brain was hazed with remnants of his heat and lust.
Colten sat him in the tub and turned on the water for him. Declan’s eyes
followed his naked body as he padded around the bathroom. He dug into the cabinet and pulled out a bottle of body wash before he raised a brow at Declan.
“You keep staring at me.”
“No, I don’t.”
“Really?” He questioned as he poured the soap in and bubbles frothed up in the tub. “You’re not staring at my ass while I put this soap back?”
Declan shivered. That’s not fair. How could he not stare? Colten’s back was strong and muscled and dipped into a gorgeously round ass that begged to be touched. He leaned his chin into his palm and sighed.
“No, I’m not doing that at all.”
“Bullshit,” Colten laughed.
Declan grinned. He’d never felt so free and uninhibited. The years felt like they’d melted off, and he was his younger self. Until he realized that was far from true. He was still heading into his forties in five years and Colten had just been able to legally drink a few months ago.
“Are you going to move over, so I can join you?”
“You’re coming in too?”
“Yeah,” he laughed. “It’ll save some time. Besides, I want to sit close to you.”
The words slipped from Colten’s lips, and he rubbed the back of his head like he was confused why they’d even tumbled out. Declan drew his legs up and allowed him to climb in. As soon as Colt’s legs brushed against his that feeling rushed back. Safety, comfort, home.
There was just one tiny problem. Declan’s heart sank as he examined Colten from underneath long, dark lashes. He doesn’t know what fated mates are, does he? Or maybe he just didn’t realize that Declan was his. It was something the older wolves taught, something that had been rumored to have disappeared without an explanation. And he was so young. Why would he know?
His stomach twisted in knots and his wolf whined from deep inside. What if Colten picked up and left again and never knew what they were? The thought of him taking off again made him feel sick to his stomach. Colten toed his inner thigh.
“Your scent died down hard,” he said as he tilted his head. “What’s wrong?”
Declan bristled. He wasn’t used to anyone knowing his emotions that easily. When his parents were home, they knew some of it and his brothers too, but never someone outside of his family. His pack.
Pack.
Colten had quickly filled that spot in his head so fast that it startled him. They barely knew each other. No, there was no way they could be fated. His wolf growled at the thought of even denying it to himself, and he knew he couldn’t. Colten was so young though, so new to the world. He shouldn’t be tied down to an older omega like him.
“Hey,” Colten called as the corners of his lips turned down. “Why are you making that face?”
“What face? There’s no face.”
“Bullshit,” Colten said. “You look like you sucked on a lemon.”
“I’m fine. I was just thinking I have to find new clothes, finish up the truck and get out of here soon.”
Colten’s face fell. “Already?”
“Well...what else would I be doing?”
The man shrugged and leaned back against the porcelain of the claw foot tub. “I don’t know, but I figured maybe you’d want to stick around a bit.”
“I’m not so sure that’s a good idea.”
“Why not?”
Declan fidgeted in the tub. “Frank isn’t going to be happy if he finds out what we just did. He’s a good friend of mine and I don’t want to piss him off.”
“Piss him off?” Colten interrupted. “I’m an adult. Why would that be a problem?”
“Come on. Blurring the lines between friends and fucking your friend’s son? It’s not a good thing.”
“You don’t think fucking me was a good thing?”
Declan’s face flared red, and he sank down into the water. Colten grinned back at him and the tension started to drain out of him. He quickly shoved up and water splashed onto the floor.
“Don’t do that. Don’t use your pheromones to calm me down.”
“You’re distressed.”
“Then let me stay distressed.”
Colten raised a brow. “Are you really that upset about us having sex? You were the one that begged me for it.”
“I know.”
“Look, if I made you uncomfortable or overstepped any boundaries tell me,” he said as he leaned forward and ran a hand over his jaw. “Did I do something to upset you?”
Declan stared at him and his heart tripped and stumbled. His wolf begged him not to push Colten away, but deep down he knew he couldn’t pursue it. Colten was young, his whole life was laid out in front of him.
Frank had bragged so many times about his son being a big shot lawyer. He wanted him to have everything he couldn’t give him in life. How fucked up would it be for me to come in and ruin it all because I won’t let him go? Declan refused to be the reason he didn’t succeed.
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” he assured Colten before he pushed himself up and stepped out of the tub. “I just need to go. Can you tell Frank I’ll finish up tomorrow?”
Colten frowned and grabbed his arm as he tried to skitter away. “There’s something going on that you’re not telling me.”
“I just have to get home and get my birth control, remember?”
“Not this quickly. You’re trying to avoid me.”
“That’s not it at all.”
Colten pulled him close until his lips hovered above the blond’s pink mouth. “I know that you’re lying, but I can’t figure out why. I’m not stupid, Declan. Don’t forget that.”
Declan shivered. Already his body responded and betrayed him as he grew hard at his touch, his roughly whispered words. He even felt the irritation in Colten’s voice and wanted to immediately spill every bit of what he hid from him. He knew that wasn't for the best, but he wanted to. He wanted to make everything right with Colten.
“I really have to go,” he muttered.
Colten examined his face and nodded. He pulled him down and their lips connected. Sparks burst through Declan’s body as he gasped and groaned against his mouth. He never wanted to stop kissing him even if he lips swelled and cracked. His body pressed forward on its own, and he panted out his need.
“One more time before you do?” Colten asked against his mouth so that his words were muffled against Declan’s tongue.
Declan melted. The logical part of him insisted that he leave, but he ignored it. He climbed back into the tub and Colten pulled him into his arms. Strong hands gripped and squeezed his ass before his fingers slipped between his crack and rubbed at his already wet hole. Colten smirked up at him, and he shuddered in his grasp. He had never felt so alive.
Declan shrugged on his shirt and tied up his shoes. He felt Colten’s eyes on him even as he moved around his bedroom and slipped into his freshly washed clothes. He’d been nice enough to make sure Declan’s clothes ran through the wash, but now they smelled like him, and he was pretty sure that was how he would end up losing his mind.
“You should stay,” Colten said.
“I can’t. I have to go meet up with my brother. Frank’s already going to be irritated that his truck isn’t finished.”
“I’ll tell him you went into heat. I’m sure he’ll understand.”
“No, I’ll talk to him. Thank you though.”
“Sure you aren’t trying to avoid me?”
Declan shook his head, but the words refused to form on his lips. He’d already done something stupid and slept with him twice. Now, he needed to get the hell out of there before he did something worse like begging to be marked the way his wolf craved. The way he craved.
“Nope. I just have a lot on my plate.”
“Give me your number then and I’ll call you.”
“You’re persistent as hell.”
“Nothing wrong with that,” Colten grinned.
“Here, just put your number in and I’ll call you.”
“Or you know, text.”
Dec
lan grunted. “I don’t like texting.”
“Everyone says that, and then they’re texting up a storm. Here you go.”
Declan took the phone back and stared at the name in his contacts. He had no intention of calling him. The thought brought guilt to his gut, and he quickly shoved the phone away. He nodded to Colten.
“I’ll see you later.”
“Hmm, alright,” the alpha said as he lounged in his bed. “I sure hope so.”
It felt like Colten could see right through him. He quickly retreated before he could say or do anything stupid and retrieved his tools. A beer sounded better by the second. He needed something to get Colt out of his head.
He packed up his things and felt eyes on him the whole time. When he dared to glance up he saw the curtains. They shifted like they’d been moved by someone’s hand. He quickly retreated before he spent the entire evening staring up just waiting to see Colten in the window.
Declan needed some space to clear his head, but the more he drove away from him the odder he felt. The absence turned to longing, the longing turned to need and by the time he reached the bar it had blossomed into a fighting urge to run back in the direction that he’d come from.
I can’t have him. No, no, no. The problem was that his wolf fought him every step of the way. It pulled him in Colt’s direction, but Declan dug his heels in and refused. He wasn’t going to screw up Colten’s chances by being selfish.
“Dec!” Nathan called from behind the bar and pulled him back into the real world. “I was wondering when you were going to show up. Did you finish Frank’s car?”
Declan shook his head as he perched on a stool. “No, I didn’t have time. I’ll finish it tomorrow.”
“Damn. Would have been nice to get some extra money tonight,” he said as he pushed a beer over to him. “What’s going on with you?”
“What do you mean?” Declan asked defensively.
“I mean you look off,” he shrugged. “Are you sick?”
“Maybe.”
Nathan looked him over, but he didn’t push and Declan was glad. The last thing he wanted to explain was that he’d fucked his friend’s son and found him to be his fated. How did anyone even have a conversation like that?
