“You ready for a third?” Darien asks with the same look of love in his eyes that he saves only for me. My hand rests on the bump of my belly.
“I wasn’t ready for two, but look how well that turned out. Maybe we will have a set of twins again,” I tease, but it doesn’t do anything but bring a bigger smile to his face. He pulls me in for a kiss, ignoring the gagging sounds from our children.
“I love you, Ari,” he says adoringly, and with a passion as strong as the day we met, we share another long kiss under the setting sun.
About the Author
Melanie Purser lives in Spokane, WA with her husband, daughter, and two German Shepherds. She loves to write when she’s not teaching teenagers how to drive. She is obsessed with animals, mainly wolves and foxes. She loves the ocean, and anything that is teal or turquoise. Though she hoped to do something sport related with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and a background of College level softball, her dream was to publish a book one day. At least she was able to do one of those things. This is her first self-published, work. More to come soon.
