Belle’s mom gazes down at her with a kind smile, but I can also see the sadness in her eyes. “Oh, honey.” She squeezes her daughter tighter.

Opening my mouth, I inform her of our side of Belle’s story, “Belle was taken because of a sex trafficking ring. I was kidnapped ten years ago, and before I was able to escape, Belle shared a cell with me. I want you to know that I tried to help her escape too, but she was hurt. I never gave up though, and she was found two nights ago being auctioned off to men.”

“Oh my God!” Her mom’s hand flies up to cover her mouth as tears fall. “Thank you for saving her.”

Bam Bam interjects, “I’m glad that we made it in time to save her. Ro, we should go now.”

Belle jumps off the part of the couch she is sitting on and shuffles over to us. Wrapping one arm around each of us, she says, “Thank you!”

Bam Bam tells her, “You’re welcome.”

I kiss her cheek. “I’m going to miss you.”

  “I’ll miss you too, Rowan.”

They follow us out onto the porch, and Belle’s mom gives us hugs and thanks us for bringing her daughter home.

When we are in the car and driving away, I let the tears flow. Bam Bam lays his hand on my thigh, and I lace my fingers through his. I stare out the window and let his words from last night really sink in. Glancing over at him, a smile forms. I finally have everything I ever wanted. I have him.

  3 months later

Rowan’s arms wrap tightly around my waist as we ride down the streets of Wichita. As soon as the weather warmed up, I had her on the back of my bike, and she loved every second of it.

I reach our destination and park my bike in the empty lot. I climb off first then hold my hand out for her to take to help her off my bike. “What are we doing here?” Removing the helmet, she lays it down on the seat.

“C’mon.” I take her hand in mine and lead her into the high school to the locker rooms. Putting her in position along the wall, I step backward until I open the door and slip through it. I turn to see my brothers and her parents waiting. I had everyone park away from the school so she wouldn’t suspect anything. Giving them a nod, I open the door for them to walking out. I wait for the last person, and when I step out my smile is ear to ear.

“What’s going on?” Her eyes dart back and forth, taking in everyone.

“I should have chosen you that night.” I stalk toward her until I’m standing in front of her. “It was you then, and it’s you now. I promise that you will always come before anyone else. I love you, Ro, and I can’t imagine ever having to spend a day without you in my life. You’re my Ol’ Lady.” I pull on the bottom of her cut with a grin. “But I need you to be mine in every way possible.” I bend down, getting onto one knee and pull a ring out of my pocket. “Will you marry me?”

Tears stream down her cheeks. “Yes!”

I slip the one-carat princess cut diamond on her finger and stand to pull her into my arms. “I love you, Ro.”

“I love you too, Bam.” Our lips press together, and everyone claps around us.

Her parents pull her away to hug and congratulate her. They’ve come a long way since Tyler went back home. Their relationship grows stronger every day, and I’m happy about that.

She’s had a few more girls’ nights including with Haven and Chapel. Those two are loosening up more and more, and I think a couple of the Cobras wanna sink their teeth into them.

As for me and Rowan, we have our whole future in front of us. Who knows what’s in store for us, but I’m so fuckin’ ready to ride this through with the woman I’ve loved my whole life.
