“What is the goblin life-span, then? Being smaller than humans, I expected it to be shorter.”

He shrugged. “Magic may be part of it, you know. Normally, goblins live to a hundred and fifty, on average, and some may even reach two hundred years, yet most die much younger due to battles. We are quite a quarrelsome lot, you know.”

It suddenly became clear to me why he was acting so differently. As a teenager, he was still open to new ideas and ideals, while older ones may be less accommodating. I hoped he would really be able to keep his throne for a long time.

Gor moved to a different subject. “I heard you’re instructing some new fairies each summer. Do you like doing that?”

“I was quite reluctant at first, when Fairlady Edith suggested it. Now I like it. I like making a valuable change in the lives of those I instruct and I also gained quite a few friends this way. Besides, I’m doing this with Brian.”

He smiled. “Of course, doing things together is always more fun, so I heard. I wish I had someone to share my life with, as you do, but I’m still searching, and I’m still too young.”

“Not necessarily. I mated with Brian soon after I turned sixteen, which is about equivalent to your age now, or a bit younger.”

“You were lucky. I know that some of your friends waited much longer to mate. That Kathy only mated when over twenty, and not conventionally.”

I smiled. “Kathy has never been conventional. Why should her mating be any different?”

He smiled back and then turned serious. “May I visit your Fairy Club? I think I could show your students some different aspects of magic, ones you may not be aware of.”

“I don’t yet know about where and when it will take place, as Gran had not yet told us much. How can I inform you, once we know?”

“I now have an email address on Earth, and I check it every few days. I’ll have someone leave my updated human visit card in your apartment. Now, it looks like your mate is anxious for you to return into his arms . . .”

The next day we also had an extensive tour of the underground city, where most goblins were living, as well as some underground farms, where most of their vegetables and fruits were grown. We were really fascinated, and king Gor was glad to hear of our impressions during dinner, which was relatively private that night.

We left the next morning, heading for the Angel Halls. As we approached, I felt their magical barrier giving way. It had probably been modified to let us through. I wasn’t sure I still remembered the way, but it soon proved irrelevant, as five angels in golden gowns appeared in front of us. We adjusted our size to theirs, yet kept our fairy wings.

Soon enough we were in David’s office again. He stood up to shake my hands, as if I was an old friend, and then let me introduce Brian formally, welcoming him just as warmly, before we all sat down for a chat.

“I’ve been informed that you’re on vacation, so I’m not going to bother you with much official stuff. I do hope you’re willing to join us for a formal welcome dinner tonight, as many of us are eager to get to know you.”

“We feel honored by the attention you’re giving us,” I said.

He waved it away. “You’ve been welcome guests at the royal palace of the elves and then just as welcome in the Goblin Kingdom. It wouldn’t do for us to be less hospitable for such an impressive couple as you two.”

“We’re just two young parents, seeking some rest after the exam period and having a very energetic toddler,” I said.

“That’s also true, and I hope you’ll find relaxation and entertainment among us, for as long as you can stay. Your sister has already told me about the mischief of your young one. They seem to forge a rare bond, one that can be of great importance for years to come.”

“Emily has been visiting here?” I knew she wanted to, but I was not aware of her visits.

“About once a fortnight. She’s taking her angel studies very seriously. She also claims that sex here is more fulfilling than on Earth.” I could see some mischief twinkling in David’s eyes.

“I hope she’s careful about that. She’s way too young to get pregnant,” I huffed.

“She’s perfectly aware of that,” David reassured me.

Our conversation moved to other subjects and soon enough we were led to a big, luxurious apartment that was to be ours during the visit. It probably had some magic too, as the sex in that apartment was really the best since we had our daughter. Well, maybe it was only the feeling of being free and with no real obligations, aside from resting and enjoying ourselves.

The two days spent there were really fun. The angels had some unique works of art and music, which we enjoyed, and their library was just as interesting as the ones of the other species. They also had access to a seashore, where we spent a few hours, enjoying the sun, the water, and each other.

We could have probably enjoyed a much longer vacation, but we were both getting anxious to see our daughter, despite knowing how tiring it was to look for her. We said our goodbyes and thanks before being led to the portals cave, where I opened a portal back, returning home about five minutes after we’d left, a week ago, the way we’d seen it.

Our five-minute vacation, as Gran called it, proved to be very beneficial, even not counting the tightening of the relations between the fairies and the other races. We found that we had much more patience for Tracey, which also helped her calm down a little. We were also more agreeable to handling another incarnation of the Fairy Club, and we had even studied most of Gran’s papers while on Avalon. She was delighted by Gor’s offer to give some lectures. She wondered if we shouldn’t let Edi or Ella give a lecture or two as well.

We were actually surprised when Emily, who opened a portal to visit us, as she was doing since becoming an angel, asked, “Can I join your Fairy Club this summer? I think I may still learn quite a lot, despite not being a fairy, and I may even be able to teach them a few things.”

“Are you sure?” I asked her, not quite believing I heard it right. “You’ve never been fond of school, and our club is more like a school than like a social gathering.”

“But you also have males, don’t you?” she teased me.

“Yes, Gran found three males and five females, only they are quite far. We’ll need to use portals to go there and back.”

She shrugged. “Portals are easy. Will we be naked there?”

“Not at first,” I told her, “and you shouldn’t be so eager. You’re way too young.”

“I may be five years younger than the males you bring, but in a decade or two, that difference will become meaningless. I won’t let this prevent me from finding my mate.” Emily could be stubborn at times.

I gave up arguing with her. “Well, we’ll be home in a few days. We can make the arrangements then.”

“Oh, your friend Ella said she’d like to babysit, except a day or two when she wants to take part in that. What is she going to do?”

“Ella is an elf princess. Her parents are the king and the queen of elves at Avalon. She’s going to talk about the elves.”

Emily smiled. “That’s one lecture I wouldn’t like to miss. I’m sure Mom would be happy to babysit, as long as it’s not every day. I assume Bob will be present too, won’t he?”

“How do you know? Has he told anybody?” I felt a bit alarmed.

“He said nothing, but the marks on his back are quite visible, and he seldom puts his shirt on while at home. His aura has also grown nicely lately, matching Brian’s.” Her nonchalance could be quite unnerving at times.

We returned home a few days later, as planned. Brian had some talks with Bob, behind closed doors. We studied the lesson plans, finding the best times to introduce the elves and the goblins.

Gran came that weekend. She took Emily for a very long conversation in her room. Emily seemed quite content when she came out, yet Gran seemed quite a bit confused. Emily could do it more often than I liked. Gran then took Bob to her room, and I knew what she had in
mind. I also knew that Brian had already taught Bob more than what Gran could. It was funny looking at them when they left her room. Bob was smiling confidently, while Gran seemed a bit subdued.

Later that day, she talked to us. “You’ve done a very good job with Bob,” she told Brian, “and I’m actually glad I didn’t have to teach him the shrinking spell. It was embarrassing enough when he decided to show me.”

She then proceeded to make a portal into the place that would become our fairy club for the summer. It was a place very similar to the previous one, also in a building adjacent to a mall, only both were a bit smaller than the one near home. We made sure that everything was ready, as we needed to start the club on Monday morning.

We still had enough time left to meet with some of our friends from school that weekend, before starting our new job.

Come Monday, Emily was ready way before breakfast and was quite willing to wake Bob up, when he didn’t show on time. An hour later, Brian opened the portal and we all stepped into our new Fairy Club. Emily seemed a bit disappointed that it was basically only a classroom, with just a few decorations featuring fairies. I wasn’t sure what she was expecting.

Soon enough we were joined by the rest of the club members. They seemed a bit surprised to find such young instructors, but with the experience that we had already gained, we both felt confident. Emily also got quite a few curious stares, as her proportions were quite unlike the other girls’, and her face was still childish. She seemed to ignore the stares.

The first day of the club went just as expected. All the participants (except Emily, of course) were already aware of being fairies, which made things a bit simpler. Unlike previous clubs, I could see no tentative friendships forming, and I kept wondering about it. Were these fairies less friendly or was their education causing them to act that way? I couldn’t really know.

Once dismissed, they all hurried out, leaving only my siblings, Brian and me there. “You’re really great at passing knowledge,” Emily told me. She then added, “See you at home!” and vanished. For a moment I panicked. Then I remembered the way angels appeared and disappeared on Avalon. Emily seemed to have learned how to do it. I wondered if we could do that too.

We still had to clean and arrange everything, to be ready for the next day. Bob helped us willingly. We then opened the portal back home, finding Emily sharing her impressions with Mom.

I waited for her to vent, before leading her to my room for some serious conversation. “How did you move from the club room back home?” I asked her.

“Oh, that’s just simple dislocation. I thought you knew it.” Emily sounded as usual. She wasn’t even bragging.

“How do you do it?” I asked, trying not to show how much her behavior was affecting me.

“Don’t you know? It’s really easy. You see . . .” I must admit she was very good at explaining. I only needed to try it twice before mastering the technique. It was really fascinating, allowing me to move from one place to another in no time at all. Emily couldn’t affirm it, but I suspected it could only work within a single world, as she was told not to use it for going between Earth and Avalon, but could use it freely in each world.

“Are there other things you’ve learned that I don’t know?” I asked her.

She shrugged. “There may be, but as I’m not aware of all you know, I can’t really say. I may be more knowledgeable after the club. I may even give you some different ways of doing things as we go along, but I can’t know in advance.”

She certainly had a point there. It didn’t make me happy, but I knew I could count on her not to keep it secret from me. Despite her being an angel, she was first and foremost my little sister. As if to prove this, she asked, “Can you teach me how to change size? I’d like to fly with the fairies, once you teach them, but I wouldn’t fit in if I stay my size.”

I smiled at my eager little sister and then taught her as requested. It took her a few minutes to master the change when nude, which was quite enough for the first week of the club, and she didn’t ask for more.

Later that day, I taught Brian about dislocation. It took him only a bit longer to master it, maybe because I didn’t do as good a job at teaching him as Emily had done with me. He was still fascinated, though.

A few days later, when we reached the transformation and flying lessons, Emily seemed just as enthusiastic as the rest. She was quick to get undressed, attracting the boys’ glances once again. She moved closer to one of them, who seemed to be especially interested in her, making me wonder if this could turn into anything long term. Could a seventeen years boy find interest in a twelve years girl, except for sex? I wasn’t sure.

Still, they all seemed a bit shy about exposing themselves to others. Not even I and Brian being just as naked could completely change that. Brian still demonstrated the transformation without preparation and then with it, and then we all transformed. I expected to see Emily with feathery angel wings, even after changing size. I was surprised to find that she also managed to change her wings, turning her into the sexiest fairy there. Luckily, Bob’s eyes were glued to another participant—an olive-skinned girl with beautiful green eyes and long hair, so he missed the way Emily was attracting attention. The boy of her choice seemed particularly smitten with her.

As we went through the pace of that lesson, I couldn’t refrain from noticing my siblings getting closer to their selected partners. Soon after we were all flying, both couples copulated in the air. Emily landed with the rest of us, looking quite satisfied. Bob seemed to have missed everything since starting copulating. Some of the others started giggling. Emily didn’t. She was watching with fascination, just like me, when the busy couple was shrouded in a luminous golden fog, as they reached their third peak, yet they kept going for at least two more, before coming back to their senses and noticing we were all waiting for them.

Bob seemed to be blushing from head to toe as he returned to his human size. Elrica, his partner, may have also been blushing, but her darker complexion didn’t let it show. I took them by the hand and marched them in front of the group. “It looks like congratulations are in order. When fairies mate in front of other fairies for three consecutive times they become magically mated, which means that it can’t be undone, like a Catholic marriage. From now on, you’ll only be able to copulate with each other for as long as you both shall live. Unfortunately, this mating is not recognized by the authorities, so you’ll need to get married to be recognized as a couple.”

Bob looked as if stunned, for a moment, while Elrica lowered her eyes, probably not knowing what to say. Bob recuperated quickly. He turned to Elrica. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know it could have such consequences, yet I’m glad I’m mated with you. Despite knowing you for only a few days, I felt like I’ve known you for years and wanted you at my side for as long as I live. I hope you’re not mad at me.”

Elrica finally raised her eyes and smiled shyly at him. “I’m not mad at you. I also felt like I’d like us to become a couple for the rest of my life. It looks like magic blessed us this way.”

Bob engulfed her in a warm hug and kissed her tenderly. Emily could wait no longer. She ran forward, engulfing the couple in a tight hug. “Congratulations, Bob, and welcome to the family, Elrica. We may be a bit uncommon, but you’ll have a lot of fun as part of the family.”

It looked really weird as Bob, who was tall and well built, hugged the very delicately built Elrica and was hugged by the very womanly Emily, all stark naked. And yet it was beautiful and very innocent, showing two kinds of love in their purest form: the sibling love and the matrimonial love. I also felt as if that love was magically seeping out, engulfing us all in a kind of embrace, that took several minutes to dissipate, as the three-way hug dissolved.

It was time for the lunch break by then, and we moved to the adjacent room, where lunch was waiting since much earlier, kept warm by some simple spells. Bob and Elrica sat side by side, while Emily took Bob’s other side, with her chosen boy taking t
he adjacent seat. As nice as she looked with him, I wasn’t sure if being mated at her age would be beneficial. I wasn’t sure I could do anything about it, though. I didn’t even know if she could be subject to the same rule about mates, or if she was subject to different rules, applying to angels.

As we were approaching the end of the day, I could see that both Bob and Elrica looked troubled. I took them aside for a talk. “What’s troubling you?”

“I feel like I never want to be apart from her, but she needs to go home to her parents, and I need to go home to mine. What can we do?” Bob asked.

I smiled at him. “Mom and Dad already know about fairies. They won’t be too surprised by this.” I turned to Elrica. “Do your parents know about you being a fairy?”

She nodded hesitantly. “I’ve told them, and Dad’s aunt used to be a fairy, so he knows about it, but they are still very worried about me, especially since I found out I needed a lot of sex. What can we do now?”

I gave it a thought. “I think it would be best if Bob goes with you to your parents. Knowing you have a mate for life may ease their worries. We shall later need to think of your studies for the rest of the school years and of your sleeping arrangements as well.”

“Maybe Emily can teach us how to move instantly, as she does? We can then spend the nights together and still be home for breakfast,” Bob suggested.

I knew I could already teach him, but maybe it was better if Emily did. “Stay a bit after we finish for the day, so that Emily can teach you. She’s very good at that.”

Indeed, as soon as all others left, Emily spent a few minutes teaching the new couple. They needed to try it several times before their first success, and then they mastered it very quickly. They still needed to see if they could dislocate together, as Bob had never visited her home. Eventually, they hugged each other and disappeared.
