  Ann Dávila Cardinal is a novelist and director of student recruitment for Vermont College of Fine Arts, where she earned her MFA in Writing. Her novels Five Midnights (2019) and the sequel, Category Five (2020), are published by Tor Teen. Ann lives north of Stowe, Vermont with her husband Doug and son Carlos, and likes to spend her free time cycling, doing fiber arts, and preparing for the zombie apocalypse. Though a work of fiction, “Misery Loves Company” was based on the actual ghost that haunts College Hall at VCFA. However, Anna has not infiltrated the college’s Zoom meetings. Yet.

  V. Castro is a Mexican-American writer from San Antonio, Texas now residing in the UK.   S.A. Cosby is an award-winning writer from southeastern Virginia. He is the author of the hardboiled southern mystery My Darkest Prayer and the rural neo-noir novel Blacktop Wasteland.

  Alex DiFrancesco is a multi-genre writer whose work has appeared in The Washington Post, Tin House, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, The New Ohio Review, Brevity, and more. Their essay collection Psychopomps (Civil Coping Mechanisms Press) and their novel All City (Seven Stories Press) were both released in 2019, and their short story collection Transmutation (Seven Stories Press) is forthcoming in 2021.

  Michelle Garza and Melissa Lason have been dubbed the Sisters of Slaughter for their work in the horror and dark fantasy genres. Their work has been published by Thunderstorm Books, Sinister Grin Press, Bloodshot Books, and Death’s Head Press. Their debut novel, Mayan Blue, was nominated for a Bram Stoker award.

  Rob Hart is the author of The Warehouse, which was translated into more than 20 languages. His next novel, Paradox Hotel, is coming soon from Ballantine.   Gabino Iglesias is a writer, teacher, editor, and book reviewer living Austin, TX. His reviews appear in places such as NPR and the Los Angeles Review of Books. He’s the author of Zero Saints and Coyote Songs, which won the Wonderland Book Award for Best Novel.   Eryk Pruitt is a screenwriter, author, and filmmaker. He is the author of the Southern crime novels Dirtbags, Hashtag, and What We Reckon, which was nominated for the 2018 Anthony Award. His short fiction is collected in Townies and Other Stories of Southern Mischief by Polis Books . He is the writer and co-host of the popular true crime podcast The Long Dance.   Johnny Shaw is the author of a whole mess of novels, including Dove Season, Big Maria, and the upcoming The Southland. He has also been known to write under a few pseudonyms to keep the completists on their toes. Johnny is currently in lockdown in Portugal.

  Steve Weddle is best known for his novel Country Hardball, which The New York Times called “downright dazzling.” The follow-up story, “South of Bradley,” appeared in Playboy magazine. He is the co-founder of the crime fiction collective Do Some Damage, the co-creator of the noir magazine Needle, and a regular instructor at LitReactor.
