Wilson (Sons of Saint Mercy Book 1)

“It's alright, Flint,” she assured him. “I'm fine, but I think I'm done filming for today.”
“Good call,” he said. He turned to Wilson. “Take her home safely.”
The doctor nodded and led Liz out of the building.
“Well, that was . . .” Wilson's voice trailed off, unsure of what to say next.
“Intense?” Liz offered.
“Yeah, I guess that's the word for it. I figure you've lost your appetite, and you'd rather just go home.”
“You know me so well. Weird how you're always there to save me. You're like a really nice- smelling superhero.”
Wilson laughed as he pulled up to the house. He drove to his but he walked Liz to her home first.
“I'm sorry, I know this would've been great," Liz apologized. “I just don't think I need more excitement.
“I completely understand.”
When they got to her front door, Liz turned to hug Wilson, but he surprised her by closing the gap between them. Liz felt his lips on hers, soft and tender. She kissed him back, and in an instant her hands were behind his head. They pulled apart a minute later.
“I'm sorry,” he said, softly. “I've just really wanted to do that for a long time now.”
Liz stood speechless. Wilson gave her another kiss, this time on her cheek, and then he said goodnight to her. Liz stood at the door for a moment, trying to get her bearings back, unsure of what had just happened.
“I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight.” Wilson leaned in again, but this time he placed the kiss on her forehead.
Liz still stood at her front door, dumbfounded, as Wilson walked away. Subconsciously, her fingers went to where she had just been kissed. She wanted more.
The sound of Wilson's door closing snapped her out of her reverie. A resolve formed in her, and the actress used all her boldness to walk back to Wilson's door.
The door parted after her subtle knock.
“Liz, what are you—”
Liz cut him off the same way he had surprised her. She had to stand on her toes to reach him fully, and he made this easier for her by picking her up.
This was different. Their first kiss had been sweet. It had been gentle, but this . . . this was anything else.
Fueled with passion, the pair made their way to Wilson's bedroom quite quickly. Wilson's hands moved deftly. They fiddled with Liz's clothes until her dress fell to the floor. They only broke apart when she tried to take off his shirt.
Wilson's hands moved from her body and went back to his, to help her with the shirt. The piece of clothing was the only thing keeping them apart, and soon it was tossed aside.
With the precision of a doctor, he unhooked her bra in less than a second. The bra fell to reveal Liz's beautiful full breasts.
The doctor picked her up and tossed her to the bed. With her back on it, he moved above her, kissing Liz as deeply as he could.
“A-aagh,” Liz’s mouth flew open as Wilson moved from her lips to her neck. She tried to stifle her moans the lower he went, but her efforts only ended in futility. He had control of her body, and there was nothing she could do to get it back. Wilson held her hands in place. He kissed her chest and the moment his lips met her nipple, a shock wave moved up her spine.
Liz screamed out in pleasure as she felt her juices flow freely.
“Fuck!” she cried. “I can't . . . I can't wait. Wil . . .”
Wilson pulled at the thin piece of clothing between her legs and tore it off. He parted her legs with his and slid inside her.
“Ugh,” Wilson groaned, as he moved in deeper. Liz's screams were stifled, and they only came out as harmless whelps.
Wilson moved out of her, and the actress grabbed him, pulling him back to fill her again. His lips went back to hers, and she moaned into his mouth. Her moans turned to pleading, begging him not to stop.
The doctor diligently continued ramming into her, pushing her further into the bed and closer to the edge until finally, she came.
As the last of her strength left her in waves, she felt Wilson pulling out of her and falling onto the bed beside her.
Liz dragged herself on top of him. Her face had morphed into a huge smile. She watched as he remained beneath her, still breathing heavily.
“Well, that was . . .” Wilson started to say.
“Intense?” Liz offered, just like before.
Wilson's face cracked into a smile. “Yeah, I guess that's the word for it.”
Chapter 10
Wilson stared at his watch. It didn't portray what he wanted, so he looked around the office until his eyes landed on the small wall clock on the left wall. The clock had been a gift from one of his patients, but now it was just a reminder that he still had to be in the office for at least thirty minutes more.
Even though he didn't have to stay until closing time, Wilson was never one to leave the office early, especially when there could be a medical emergency that would need to be attended to.
Still, thirty minutes seemed like such a long time, especially since he had nothing to do. His line of thought was soon interrupted.
“It is I!” Hanson announced himself. He opened his arms in grand fashion as he walked into the office. Wilson rolled his eyes at the theatrics, but he was secretly happy for the company. He glanced back at the clock again, but Hanson caught his eye.
“Ah! Excited to leave work are we? I've never seen you this happy to go on a break.”
“I've been working a lot recently, and now that Liz isn't filming for a while, it's the perfect time to go on a trip.”
The doctor had been planning this trip for a very long time. Alice had offered to loan him her beach house if he ever found someone nice. Now that he was dating Liz, that requirement had been met. The only thing was that Liz and Alice had never met.
Wilson had decided to keep Liz a secret so that he could surprise Alice just before the trip. Alice had to be Liz's biggest fan, and he couldn't think of a bigger gesture than bringing her favorite actress to her house.
For Liz, Wilson had wanted to give her a break. A new setting would be good for her, even if it was only temporary, and that way they could be alone together.
Like an excited child waiting for Christmas morning, Wilson sat uneasily in his chair.
“Who would've thought, huh?”
“Who would've thought what?” Wilson asked.
“Who would've thought that you would be the first to land a real relationship?”
“Oh, I'm sorry,” Wilson laughed. “I didn't know that you were planning on entering one any time soon: my bad.”
“Sure, laugh now, but I could surprise you.”
“Please,” Wilson scoffed. “Hanson, you'll probably be the last person to settle down, assuming you even find an actual relationship.”
“Hey!” Hanson started to protest. “Oh wait, yeah. You're probably right. I don't think I can do this, man. One girl? Doesn't sound right.”
“Well, I'm happy,” Wilson assured him. “I wouldn't trade for it anything.”
“Even my fortune?
“There are more important things than money, Hanson.”
“You say that, but I haven't seen any so far.”
Both men continued with their banter until Wilson’s thirty minutes were up.
“I have to go now; I'm keeping to a schedule.”
“Of course you are,” Hanson laughed. “For real though, I'm happy for you. I don't think I've ever seen you like this before.”
“I can't say I've ever been like this before. I'll see you later, man.”
Wilson cleared out what he needed from his office. With a goofy smile on his face, the doctor walked down the stairs, through the lobby, and out of the building.
Wilson's car wasn't hard to find. He headed towards it the moment he moved through the hospital doors, thankful that the heat from the sun was already waning. It meant that by the time they got to the beach house, it would be the cooler portion of the evening.
The yo
ung doctor drove home in a hurry. He went into his house first and got everything he needed ready. He was already packed, so there wasn't a lot to do. Wilson hopped into the shower, and after washing himself off quickly, he got dressed and was ready to go. He exited his house to see that Liz was already waiting by his car.
“Hey, you,” she greeted. She skipped to where he stood and smiled. Wilson leaned forward and kissed her; it was a kiss she happily shared.
“Hi,” he said. “Ready to go?”
“Are you kidding? I've been ready since last week. Let's go!”
The couple got into the car and Wilson started the drive. It would take about an hour to reach the beach house, but first, they had one stop.
“Where did you say we were going again?”
“We're going to see a friend of mine. She's a very dear friend, and I know she would love to meet you.”
Liz narrowed her eyes a bit. “Is this the same friend that you go and see each week?”
Wilson nodded the affirmative. “Yup! I think it's time you two met. You are sort of a surprise to her.”
“Hey! Why am I a surprise?”
“You'll see,” the doctor smirked.
They didn't drive for much longer before coming to a large house. It was much bigger than theirs, but it looked old as well.
Wilson parked and then he ushered his girlfriend into the house. When they got to the front door, he rang the doorbell and waited for the door to be answered.
“Could you stand to the side?” he pleaded with Liz. “I promise—it’ll be worth it.”
Liz agreed and stood to the side. Shortly the door opened, and an elderly woman walked out.
“Wil!” she greeted excitedly. Wilson gave her a hug.
“Hey, Alice. There's someone I'd like you to meet. This is Liz.” He moved out of the way, and Liz came into view. Alice's eyes widened when she saw Liz.
“Oh my God!” Alice screamed. “Are you really? Is she really her?”
Wilson nodded, clearly enjoying this. He turned to his girlfriend. “Liz, this is Alice. She's your biggest fan. She's the one that made me start watching your show.”
“It's lovely to meet you.”
It took a whole lot of convincing and all the bribery in the world, but they were eventually able to convince Alice to let them go before it got too late.
Wilson drove them to the beach house, just in time to see the sunset.
The house was a bamboo beach house. It looked like it hadn't been used in a while, but Wilson had gotten it cleaned beforehand so that it would be tidy. It had a touch of antique furniture, but all of it was comfortable. There was only one bedroom, but that was all they actually needed. It was the perfect place for a romantic getaway.
After getting settled in, they found a spot to sit where they would have a good view of the setting sun.
“That was a really good thing you did today,” Liz said.
“What part?”
“Making that woman happy. She said you're all she has, but I saw a lot of pictures of children.”
“Yeah, they abandoned her when she needed them the most. I just do what I can to make sure she doesn't feel alone. She reminds me of my mom.”
“You never talk about her much.”
“She died too soon to see me graduate from medical school. It's my biggest regret, but I know that she would want me to take care of as many people as I could.”
“Your mother was a good woman,” Liz said. “And in all the ways possible, she raised a good man.” Liz's hand moved to his, and he held on to it, happy and content.
Wilson trained his eyes on the giant ball of light that seemed to be sinking into the vast sea. As it moved, different colors embellished the sky. Shades of soft purple, blue, red, orange, and yellow filled the sky with beauty.
It was the first time that he had ever watched a sunset, and he was happy that he did. It really was amazing. Wilson turned to the woman beside him to see that she was already looking at him.
“What?”
Liz sighed. “I love you. I love you so much. I know this is the first time I'm saying this, and I don't want you to feel pressured. I don't even know if it's too soon because I—”
Wilson silenced her with a kiss, just as the last of the sun's light vanished beyond the horizon. The kiss lasted for only a few moments before they separated.
“I love you too,” he said. “I have for a while, and I know I'm not going to stop. There's no one I'd rather be with. I'm glad I met you, and I'll never regret it. I know this.”
Liz wiped a tear from her eye. “You really are good with words.”
“It's not hard for me to tell the truth,” Wilson said. He kissed her again as the first of the stars began to shine brightly in the sky.
