Kareth ran over, knocking over the table with all the tinctures, the silver chalice clattering to the floor. He got on his knees, taking Yunet’s hand. It didn’t feel right.
“She isn’t breathing,” the girl’s lips were quivering as she spoke.
He touched Yunet’s cheek. It was warm, but he knew it wouldn’t be long before it cooled. It wouldn’t be long, because she had stopped breathing. She was gone. Yunet was dead.
