  You know within your own heart

  What you must do

  You know you’re the only one

  Who can make your dreams come true?

  You know you’re the only one

  That knows the real you

  You know you can be the tallest tree

  If you get the morning dew

  You know you’re like a silk thread

  Delicate but strong

  You know you’re like a sheaf of barley

  And you’ll catch the morning sun

  You know you are a little star

  That hides behind them all

  You know someday you’ll know

  How to break your fall

  You know a day will come

  When you’ll realise what you need

  You know that the most beautiful flower

  Came from a humble seed

  WONDER

  Did you ever wonder why the fields are green?

  Did you ever wonder why it’s a silent scream?

  Did you ever wonder why the sky is blue?

  Did you ever wonder why I stopped loving you?

  Did you ever wonder how a seed becomes a flower?

  Did you ever wonder at a warm April shower?

  Did you ever wonder why the birds can fly?

  Did you ever wonder and say, why can’t?

  Did you ever wonder about the nature of a storm?

  Did you ever wonder why it leaves things beaten and torn?

  Did you ever wonder at the simplicity of life?

  Did ever wonder why it cuts like a knife?

  Did you ever wonder just to pass the time?

  Did you ever wonder if your imaginations lying?

  WINTER

  The darkened day of winters song

  The bleak, the dark the chill of dawn

  The frost that formed the crystal clear

  The life that froze a tiny tear

  The storm that raged on and on

  The delivery of destruction greets the dawn

  The landscape changed from old to new

  A chance perhaps to change the view

  The snow that covers all it sees

  The balancing act it does with ease

  The life that’s hiding deep inside

  The hidden world that brims with life

  The scene that we no longer see

  The eye that catches what it wants it to be

  The spring will come to release all life

  The chapter changes from dark to light

  The winters story to recharge and rest

  The perfect season to start the next

  WHEN YOU

  When you smile I want to share your happiness

  When you hurt I want to ease your pain, so you can feel again

  When you listen, I want to be your ears to hear what you hear

  When you see I want to be your eyes to share your vision

  When you are free I want to be the wings that take you to your future

  When you are in the dark I want to be the one who takes you to the light

  So you don’t have to fight

  When you are released to smell the roses I want to be the one who grows them for you

  When your heart beats I want to be the rhythm that you feel

  When you walk your road I want to be the direction that you seek

  WHEN I FEEL…

  When I feel time goes slow

  Then I feel I don’t know

  When I feel hope is gone

  Then I know I must be strong

  When I feel I’m in fire inside?

  Then I know I have too much pride

  When I feel I’m a leaf in the wind

  Then I know I must defend

  When I feel I’m washed out

  Then I know that I’m a cloud

  When I feel I want to fly

  Then I know for you I must try

  When I feel I want to follow the sun

  Then I know I’m the untamed one

  When I feel you were wrong

  Then I know I must carry on

  When I feel that I am free

  Then I know it must be me

  WATER

  I reflect the sun the moon and the stars

  I’m the air we breathe

  I am intoxicating

  I am a fountain of youth

  A reservoir for the world

  You kill me

  You pollute me

  You mess with my cycle

  You’re bleeding me dry

  And all my creativeness

  And so, in turn I come back to you

  But not knowingly poison you slowly

  You don’t care for me as I’ve cared for you

  You don’t respect me

  You don’t understand my power

  But someday you will

  I just hope it’s not too late………

  For both of us

  VALENTINE

  I am yours as you are mine

  I’m glad you are my valentine

  I searched the stars just for you

  That’s when I saw you smiling at me too

  As you placed your hand in mine

  I knew we’d be together ‘till the end of time

  True loves truth, a gentle kiss

  Our hearts and souls in total bliss

  My valentine, my rose my bud

  A forever bloom that is our love

  ME

  I may not fit in but that’s just me

  I may not like reality, but I like my dreams

  I may not like you, you may not like me

  This is my story, so I can do what I please

  I may not like the weather but then maybe I do

  I may not be beautiful, but my charm will get me through

  I may not be right but I’m definitely not wrong

  I may not be old because I’m forever young

  I may be talking crap that’s easy to do

  Have a laugh at yourself and you won’t feel so blue

  If there was a corner in a circle that’s where I’d be

  I’m an unusual shape

  I’m only as perfect as I can be

  UNDER COVER

  Hidden voices from within

  Screaming out their voices grim

  Under the cover of dark they dwell

  The noise inside cannot be quelled

  Flows like lava burning hot

  As it goes it turns to rock

  The molten lava will continue to grow

  An island of black beneath the rose

  The petals fall but nothing grows

  So, nothing ever hears its woes

  UNCLEAR

  Your tears are like snow drops

  Falling from the sky

  Falling from your face

  For an emotional goodbye

  So bitter yet so sweet

  So clear yet so unclear

  A half story to be told

  The other half disappears

  The pleasure and the pain

  Which one will win out

  Will we be summer in the winter?

  Or a desert in a drought

  TRAPPED

  Running through the night

  Dashing out of sight

  To a world of isolation

  Fear sits in the corner

  With nowhere to run

  Gets nothing done

  A disfigured figure

  That can’t walk talk

  Lack of communication

  Defences built high

  Not visible to the naked eye

  An invisible wall stands tall

  Can I show you my world?

  Can I let you come inside?

  Or is it too hard to try……

  TOGETHER

  A silky film of thread

  Takes off and starts to fly

  Carried by the breeze

  Through the countryside

  Meets more along the way

  And then they all hold hands

  With unity together

  There’s nothing they can’t withstand

  If we were like those threads

  Blowing in the breeze

  Could we bond together

  To form a blanket of peace

  THE TIDES OF TIME

  The tides of time

  Are flowing in rhyme

  They ebb and flow

  In their own rushed rows

  Erosion of emotions

  Being washed away

  Washed by the water

  Into the bay

  What’s left on the rocks

  Is only debris

  Of another washed up life

  If it’s not me

  Back on the sand

  Another life stands

  Staring it down

  Waiting for good times to come around

  Stares a familiar face

  With the tears of a stranger

  THE ONE

  You’re the one who always had my heart

  You’re the one who let me be and set me free

  You’re the one who made my heart complete and it’s never missed a beat

  You’re the one who made my blood flow and never let go

  You’re the one who took me by surprise when I looked into your eyes

  You’re the one who taught me how to speak so I don’t feel so weak

  You’re the one who saved me from the storm and made me feel warm

  You’re the one that is my drug of choice and the only one that I’ll ever need

  You’re the one who I would walk the earth for, so we could walk together

  You’re the one who showed me how to love and be loved

  You’re the one who I will never let go because you make me feel so………..

  THE JOURNEY

  To all that is mythical

  To all that is real

  To all your heart can give

  To all your heart can steal

  To all that you can follow

  To all that follow through

  To all that live the dream

  To all that never do

  To all that makes you laugh

  To all that makes you crawl

  To all that makes you diverse

  To all that makes you your all

  To all that life throws at you

  To all that you throw back

  To all that you can see

  To all that fades to black

  To all that shines before you

  To all that pulls you through

  To all that you can touch

  To all that reach out and touch you

  To all there is a lesson from the things we do

  To all that are on a journey

  may the best of luck come to you

  SUNSHINE

  You’re like a little ray of light

  A shimmer in the sun

  The smile upon your face

  Can catch the untamed one

  It captured me and brought me to tears

  Brought me to where the clouds disappeared

  I could now see

  That you were the one

  My little ray of sunshine

  My flower in the sun

  STAY STRONG

  Did you ever have a time when everything felt sad?

  But everything you needed was everything you had

  Way deep down inside where it hurt to feel

  Where somewhere in this life you were there for real

  You go through many things you never let you cry

  You never let you give up you must try

  So, you muddle through this life for so long

  Somehow in the end the weak had made you strong

  You didn’t recognise it ‘till you came out into the sun

  Now when you look around that big old cloud is gone

  SPIRIT

  Run wild run free

  Your spirit; let it be

  Gentle breeze goes through the trees

  And bring my spirit with gentle ease

  Past the woods into the dawn

  Let it rise with the sun

  Let it go from east to west

  At sunset let it rest

  Let it swim let it fly

  Let it find the reason why

  Let it live don’t let it die

  Please don’t make it cry

  Let it smile let it have fun

  May it never be undone

  Let it learn to live a life

  Without trouble or any strife

  Let it learn let it feel

  Let it love itself for real

  Let it take me and I’ll follow

  Let it never end in sorrow

  My spirit is me my spirit is free!

  SPELLBOUND

  The magic that comes from within

  And its world begins to spin

  The mystery inside is most profound

  Dark and deep underground

  The leather-bound books

  The spells inside

  And the world it wants to hide

  The elusive lock the secret key

  The door to this world not for me

  From page to page deadly curses

  Are awaiting those happy verses

  The spell is spun the web is strong

  Here comes the awakening with the dawn

  The dawn is dusk the day is night

  The sun the moon the stars shine bright

  The magic builds the mystery inside

  The clock struck twelve it’s time to hide

  SILENT FEAR

  Meandering wandering lost and found

  Into the abyss and under ground

  Over the grass and under the trees

  Life is sailing in the breeze

  From me to you to them to all

  Can we hear natures call?

  when we listen, what do we hear

  Perhaps it’s a silent fear

  A black tulip begins to weep

  In its own silent sleep

  It ripples out along the way

  It’s calls getting tired day after day

  If I help you will you help me too

  From angles to demons we have them all

  They are part of our wings and part of our fall

  A silent eagle watches on

  With his furrowed brow he can see

  What we are what we should be

  SHADOWS

  Shadows on the water

  Are slowly washed away

  Shadows from the moonlight

  Fade from night to day

  Shadows in the corner

  Hide the pain away

  Shadows from the trees give a dappled shade

  Shadows from the sun

  Tell the length of the day

  Shadows from the strange

  Turn into something new

  Shadows from our lives

  Take over me and you

  Shadows from the flame

  That come from the fire

  Shadows on the heart

  Are the shadows I desire

  SEARCH YOUR SOUL FOR ANSWERS

  Search your soul for answers

  For it’s the truth that you must find

  What you want from your life

  What you need defined

  Search your soul for answers

  Do you like what you see

  Is it the way you thought it would be?

  Will it set you free?

  Search your soul for answers

  For within your soul you lie

  Search your soul for answers

  Does it make you want to cry?

  Search your soul for answers

  Are they hidden deep

  Does it hide from this world?

  The secrets you wish to keep

  Search your soul for answers

  Are you afraid being you

  What’s so wrong with who you are

  To your self be true

  Search your soul for answers

  And it will give you peace

  The peace of mind to sleep at night

  And not be afraid to dream……….
