I saw a little light today but now he’s far away
So very sharp and alert so very cute and small
So innocent to the world so unafraid of it all
Those eyes going through me wondering who’s there
Still all the same didn’t seem to care
That lights got a place in my heart always will be there
He brought joy to the world joy to all who cared
He’s like a flicker in the night to those who look his way
He’s new life to the world and he’s here to stay
