Parasite; The True Story of the Zombie Apocalypse

I watched the two of them down by the water. I understood what Hank was going through. The ghost of Julie visited me in my mind, leaving me sad and drained of hope. To busy myself, I checked my gun.
Henry had changed. I watched him become a leader. This apocalyptic time made him into a strong man. But now, as I watched them, I wondered if he could do this final act. What would be required of him? I wondered if I could have, had it been Julie there instead of Melissa.
I watched him rise, gun held outstretched, waiting. As doubt took hold of me, I reached for the door handle. Then, the sound stopped me. Melissa dropped gently to one side and the gun lowered. Hank turned and immediately walked back to our Humvee.
"Are you ok?" I asked, immediately feeling dumb.
"No," he said softly.
"Do you want to bury her?"
"No," he said once again. "There isn't time. Besides, this way she’ll be washed out with the tide. She would want it that way."
We returned to the rest of the group. Amber, giving over to grief, rushed up the Hank and enveloped him in a tight hug, her shoulders heaving with each sob, his matching hers.
"We gotta go!" I spoke up.
"Where to?" asked Drew.
"I know a place," Hank said, breaking the embrace and wiping his eyes. "We aren't done yet!"
We all just stood there. We aren't done yet? What did that mean?
"What do we still need to do, Hank?" I asked gently.
Henry produced a flash drive. "This parasite didn't evolve on its own!" he said, a fire glowing in his reddened eyes. "A man did this. I want revenge!"
