Amelia shook her head and called out to Haseem before he could scurry away, “No! Please don’t tell Khalid, Haseem. He’s already under so much stress from his family. I’m sure this will only make things worse.”

Haseem shook his head, his frown deepening. “I cannot ignore this breach in our security. I must inform him.”

Seeing no way to stop this stubborn man, Amelia sighed, defeated. “Okay. I understand.”

Haseem stared at her for a moment before he released a harsh breath. “I will wait until Mr. Majeed demands his weekly report, but only if he does not ask for a report tonight.”

Amelia smiled brightly and clapped her hands happily. “Thank you, Haseem! Thank you so much!”

Haseem nodded, grunting as he left the apartment with a mumble, “Don’t thank me just yet.”

Amelia regretted not telling Khalid about his brother’s intrusion too soon. If she had, she might not have run into the man again in the city market the next day. Buying fresh groceries, Amelia groaned in frustration audibly at the sight of Maarku’s tense form.

Maarku was standing at the only entrance and exit of the market. Amelia wasn’t sure if she would be able to escape his notice. Even his eyes, though not as sharply green as Khalid’s, were still harsh looking. Cringing, Amelia scanned the area for Haseem. The silent man had gone to fetch the car with her packaged groceries. Clutching her purse tightly to her chest, Amelia kept her head down and followed closely behind a small family.

Suddenly, she was no longer with the family, but instead was grabbed by her elbow and pulled into a quiet corner of the marketplace. Some people sent them concerned glances, but a harsh glare from Maarku seemed to brush aside any vocal concern.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Maarku growled as he held tightly to her elbow.

Struggling in his grasp, Amelia glared back at the man. “Grocery shopping. Not all of us can afford to have people do everything for us.”

Maarku laughed sarcastically and snarled. “Isn’t my brother paying enough for you, eahira?”

Amelia flinched at his harsh words. She’d been with Khalid long enough to learn a few simple words. Mostly all words Khalid deemed inappropriate, much to her amusement. Maarku had called her a whore. Without thinking, Amelia thrust her booted heel onto the top of Maarku’s foot and nearly cried in relief when he released her shoulder to swear and jump away from her on his aching foot.

“Don’t ever come near me again,” Amelia ground out and rushed out of the market. As she glanced over her shoulder to make sure Maarku hadn’t followed her, Amelia smacked into the hard chest of Haseem, who stood before their car, concern etching over his face.

  “What is wrong?” Haseem asked.

Breathlessly, Amelia pointed behind her, “Maarku…”

Her voice trailed off and she felt a little lightheaded as her adrenaline waned. Haseem didn’t ask for more and instead hauled her into the SUV and drove off. When they arrived at the apartment, Haseem bundled up Amelia and the groceries and didn’t stop until they were safely in the apartment.

“I have to tell, Mr. Majeed,” Haseem stated before finally murmuring, “Everything.”

Amelia nodded, “Okay. Please tell him it was my fault, not yours, Haseem.”

He didn’t respond and Amelia went about cleaning the kitchen and putting the groceries away. She felt exhausted. Like a robot, she made herself a cup of tea to ease her nerves. In fact, she even felt a little sick. Maarku’s eyes had been wild with anger. What was he going to do to her? Was he this angry because she and Khalid were in love? How could this be?

As Amelia sipped at her tea, her front door opened and Haseem entered with an electronic tablet. He wordlessly placed the tablet in front of her and the screen cleared from black to the image of a stern looking Khalid. His suit was rumpled and his tie open slightly. He appeared tired and stressed with his hair sticking up in all different directions.

“Ya amar, are you okay?” Khalid asked tiredly.

Amelia blushed and hugged herself, embarrassed with Haseem present. “I’m fine, Khalid. Really, I am.”

Khalid frowned and glanced over her before his eyes landed on her elbow. Amelia tried to hide the bruise before he could see it through the camera, but he did and his voice became loud and filled with anger. His words, while she didn’t understand, she knew were directed at Haseem.

Haseem spoke into the tablet for a few minutes before placing it back in front of her to a calmer Khalid.

“Amelia, I am so sorry for what my brother has done to you. You must understand my family is trying to pressure me into something I do not want. I love you, ya amar. They will not hurt you any longer,” Khalid crooned. “I will do whatever it takes to ensure it.”

Amelia nodded and smiled reassuringly. “I love you too. It will be okay, Khalid. We can get through this.”

Khalid’s smile was forced and Amelia felt her heart break for him. Blowing him a kiss on the screen as Haseem took it away, she heard Khalid murmurer something to Haseem and he mentioned her name. When the video ended, Amelia gazed at Haseem as he moved to turn away from her and head for the door.

“Haseem?” Amelia called out and when he stopped and turned to her, “What did Khalid tell you about me?”

Haseem paused before sighing. “He told me to take care of you, Amelia. He cares for you very much.”

As the stoic man departed, Amelia realized quickly that Haseem had never called her by her first name before. Things were more serious than Amelia had thought and she was only just realizing how right she was.

She wasn’t alone. Of that she was certain. The person entering her room was now standing above her. Through the slits of her eyelids she could make out the dark shape as he stood above her. He seemed to be staring at her as Amelia tried to clear the sleepy fog from her brain.

Slowly, the figure’s dark shadow ebbed away and Amelia began to relax. Perhaps it had just been Haseem coming to check on her. She’d been dreary since their grocery shopping excursion.

Suddenly, from behind her, Amelia felt the bed shift and a hard, naked body press against her back. Amelia tensed as strong hands gripped her hips and pulled her bottom until it was flush against the apex in the man’s thighs. The man’s hard length pressed against her rear in obvious arousal and when the man’s face buried into the crook of her neck and inhaled she began to relax.

  Khalid.

Her heart leapt for joy. He had returned to her early. Slowly, Khalid’s hands moved from her hips and slid up her stomach to her full breasts. Gasping as he pulled her into his chest by her breasts, Amelia shuddered as the tingles from his hands rushed straight to her core.

“Khalid?” Amelia called his name softly, confused by his rough behaviour.

He growled into her ear as his length began to grind against her backside. His growls silenced her and Amelia let out a soft moan as she realized his cock was only covered by his boxer shorts. Meeting his thrusts with wanton abandon, Amelia threw her head back and laid it against his shoulder as his hands continued to knead and squeeze her throbbing nipples and breasts.

As though she were on fire, Amelia gasped out a whisper, “I’m burning, Khalid. Please.”

Growling into her ear again, Khalid nipped at her lobe as he spoke, his voice raw, as if he’d been yelling for hours, “Did you miss me, Lia? Did your tight pussy miss my cock?”

Moaning louder, Amelia attempted to nod as she exclaimed loudly, “Yes! Oh god! Yes, Khalid! Harder please! I’m so close!”

Suddenly, Khalid's boxers were gone and one of Khalid’s hands reached down spread her legs. His hard cock nestled against her soft panties and began to thrust between her legs. Amelia cried out with each thrust as the rubbing was causing her pussy to cream between her legs and her panties to become soaked.

Pulling away, Amelia whined as Khalid grasped her by the waist and positioned her on all fours, facing their full length mirror across from the bed. Amelia had never seen hers
elf reacting so wantonly. In a minute, Khalid had stripped her of her sleeping shirt and ripped her panties away. Moaning at the feeling of the cool night air hitting her pussy, Amelia whined further, arching her back and spreading her legs widely for Khalid. All she could see of him was his tanned form as it stood behind her, staring down at her core dripping and begging for his cock.

“Who do you belong to, Amelia?” Khalid asked out of nowhere. Amelia freezes in place at the question, but when the hard, bulbous head of his cock pressed against her lips, she whined with need.

Gasping, Amelia tried to force Khalid’s cock into her wet core, but his firm hands are on her waist, stopping her needy thrusts as he ran his cock length up and down her pussy lips.

“Well, Amelia? Who. Do. You. Belong. To,” he said with teasing slowness as his cock’s head once again presses into her pussy lips.

Crying out his name, “Khalid!”, Amelia squirmed beneath him, trying to wedge his cock into her pussy faster, but a quick slap on her bottom stops her.

“I’m yours!” Amelia conceded and moaned in frustration. “Please, Khalid! Just take me and fuck me!”

As if he were possessed by some animal, Khalid didn’t go slow this time. Instead, Amelia only had a second to breathe before the wind was knocked out of her. His cock slammed home, hitting that glorious pleasurable spot with harsh abandon. Like animals, their thrusting and slapping of skin drowned out Amelia’s cries of pleasure and Khalid’s grunts. Trying to meet his animalistic thrusts, Amelia gave up as Khalid’s hands snaked underneath her and took her breasts in a harsh squeeze.

In her ear, Khalid snarled, “Who do you belong to, Amelia?”

With her last breath, Amelia felt Khalid’s length removing itself from her tight core and she whispered, “You...”

Slamming into her, Amelia felt her pussy clench tightly around his cock one last time as a warmth gushed from her and rained over his throbbing cock. It only took a few more thrusts for Khalid to find his release as well as he pumped her tight core full of his seed.

Collapsing to the bed, Amelia felt Khalid softening inside her full core. He pulled her tightly against his chest, keeping his softening length inside of her, as if to brand her physically as his.

Still caressing her now sweaty body, Khalid whispered in her ear as Amelia’s adrenaline waned and her eyes drooped closed, “Mine.”

Ouch. Why am I so sore? Amelia wondered as she woke in a daze the next morning. Thankfully, it was only Sunday and she didn’t have to go to work. One glance at the clock had her groaning. How could she have slept in until ten-thirty? As she shifted under the covers, she felt warm liquid dribble from her core and she instantly sat up.

Staring at the empty bed, Amelia’s thoughts fled to the night before. Khalid had come home and he was very…rough with her. As she shucked her blankets, Amelia was greeted with fresh bruises around her nipples and a distinct red mark trailing from her back upper legs to her warm bottom.

Amelia gasped as tingles erupted in her core at the thought of what they’d done last night. It had been different from all their other lovemaking. Amelia stopped her thoughts there. Last night was not lovemaking. Last night, Khalid had fucked her.

Blushing, Amelia stood and stared at herself in the full length mirror. Her hair was mussed up, a sure sign of bed head, and liquid was streaming down her legs, a sure sign of Khalid’s possession of her body.

Rushing through her morning routine, Amelia braided her hair back loosely and tugged on a pair of black leggings and simple flowy top. As her underwear and leggings rubbed against her bottom and core, Amelia bit her lip to stifle her moan. She was still a bit tender.

Going in search of her possessive lover, Amelia felt her heart begin to flutter at the sound of Khalid in the kitchen. As she entered, her smile dropped slightly when Haseem and Khalid’s eyes moved to her, their faces set in one that spoke of a very serious and uncomfortable conversation. One that obviously couldn’t be discussed in her presence. Even in Arabic.

“Good morning,” Amelia whispered, her voice raspy from last night's activities.

As if sensing that she was uncomfortable with their stares, Haseem stood from his seat and nodded his head. “We can discuss the situation further at a later time, sir.”

With that, Haseem left the suite and Amelia watched as Khalid stared after him, anger hidden beneath his green eyes and clenched fists.

“Is everything okay?” Amelia whispered quietly.

Without looking at her, Khalid murmured softly, “No. But it will be.”

As if a switch had been flipped, Khalid’s body relaxed and he turned to her with a soft smile, “How are you feeling this morning?”

Amelia knew what he was doing. Trying to distract her with his questions had always worked in the past, but Amelia knew if she pressured him about his conversation with Haseem, he might close up completely. Better to let him think he had distracted her fully.

As she approached the island, Amelia winced slightly at the aching feeling in her nether regions. “I’m a bit sore.”

Face full of real concern, Khalid pulled her into his arms and the tingles erupted in her heart as he stroked her hair softly. Lips pressed to her forehead as he held her tightly in his warm embrace.

“I should never have been that rough with you, ya amar. Why didn’t you say anything?” Khalid asked, his voice full of self-loathing.

Pulling her head away from his seemed to startle Khalid as Amelia immediately tried to placate him. Practically yelling one word, “No!” Amelia blushed and lowered her voice.

“What I mean is, no, I enjoyed last night. The soreness isn’t that bad.” Amelia smiled shyly up at Khalid through her eyelashes. “In fact, it kind of makes me feel a little tingly and will definitely be a firm reminder of you when you’re away.”

Groaning, Khalid pulled her back against him with an earth shattering kiss and murmurs against her lips, “How did I get so lucky? The heavens must have been smiling upon me when you fell into my lap.”

Giggling at his words, Amelia nibbled at his bottom lip. “I don’t know if I can go again, Khalid.”

Picking her up by the waist, Khalid set her on top of the kitchen island in one swift motion. A squeak of surprise escaped Amelia’s mouth as Khalid pulled her leggings and panties down until they fall at his feet.

With his signature dimpled grin, Khalid pressed a reassuring kiss to her lips, “Let me make you feel better, ya amar.”

In that moment, as his lips slowly traveled down her neck, over her chest until finally meeting her tender core lips, Amelia knew love. She was so clouded in bliss. She didn’t even see the heartbreak coming.

Amelia stared in shock at what Bea was showing her. It was a simple photo from some European newspaper. On it was a photo of a newly married couple. The bride appeared happy. She was dressed beautifully in colorful robes and jewelry as she held hands with her new husband and smiled out to the crowds of people. Her other hand waved. It might as well have been a slap to the face.

Her groom, even though the photo was a tad grainy, Amelia couldn’t help but recognize the strong build and piercing green eyes. According to the paper, his name was Sheik Khalid Abdul Majeed of the Middle Eastern country of Aman.

It was Amelia’s Khalid. No, her mind objected. He was not hers. He belonged to his new wife. The new Sheikha of Aman, Dareen el-Dib. Amelia’s eyes, welling with tears, couldn’t look away from the picture and the article. They were married the day after Khalid had left her for another trip. She recalled distinctively the way he had held her at the front door that morning. Kissing her until her toes curled with promises of his swift return and proclamations of his love.

Her mind swam. Hadn’t he said he was only returning home to his family to finalize unresolved business? He had claimed he would return in a week, whereas this article claimed the couple were enjoying their honeymoon in a private location for a few weeks.

Rasping through her tight throat, Amel
ia pushed Bea’s phone away and stood up, startling her friend as she did, “I need a drink of water.”

Going about the motions, Amelia ignored Bea’s pitied looks and concerned eyes as she entered the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. Scanning the area, Amelia shivered at the realization. This was all his. None of it was hers. He had wanted her to move in.

Khalid had been the one to bring it up and to her it had made the most sense. He spent every moment he could with her when he returned on business. Her own apartment had been too small to accommodate the both of them. With dread filling her stomach, Amelia cringed at all the excuses he had given her. Had everything been a lie?

Shuddering, Amelia thought back to one instance where she had called them for their daily phone call, but he hadn’t been able to speak because he was busy dealing with his family.

“Oh god,” Amelia groaned and dropped her head into her palm. “He’s been with her this whole time.”

Bea spoke softly from her side of the kitchen island, “According to the article they’ve been engaged since infancy and the wedding has been scheduled for some time.”

The tears began to flow as she tried to calm her breathing and quickly set her glass down, worried she might break it. Bea quickly rounded the island, sensing Amelia’s distress and enveloped her in a tight hug. At the contact, Amelia’s legs gave way and both she and Bea fell to the ground. The only sounds were Amelia’s wailing cries and Bea’s soothing hushing as she softly stroked her back.

Finally, after Amelia’s wails dissipated and she began to stare at everything and nothing, Bea spoke up. Her words shattered Amelia’s heart all over again.

“You need to leave, Lia. Now,” Bea ordered, her words brokering no exceptions.

With tears falling down her cheeks and her broken heart trailing behind her, Amelia, with help from Bea, began to pack her things, which didn’t consist of much.
