My Son's Girlfriend

by Cassandra Dee

“Twelve,” he answers matter-of-factly. I’m about to reply, when I hear a noise. I slow my step, listening. Jordan stops too, cocking his head, but then he shrugs.

“It’s probably just Rosario, my housekeeper,” he says, and starts walking again. But there’s the sound again, and I stop in my tracks. Jordan looks at me quizzically.

“I’ve heard that sound before,” I say suspiciously, thinking hard. It’s a cacophony of male grunting and moaning - the same sound I heard when I walked in on Jimmy watching gay porn! I can tell by Jordan’s face he’s noticed it, too.

“Is Jimmy here?” I ask carefully. Jordan suddenly frowns and starts striding towards the source of the moans. I’m hot on his heels.

“Jordan, wait, maybe -”, I start, but I’m interrupted because Jordan’s reached the door the moans are coming from, and flings it open. I gasp, my hands going to my mouth in shock. Jordan and I are face to face with Jimmy in the middle of having gay sex! He’s naked, on his hands and knees, while a guy I recognize as one of his lacrosse team members is shoving his cock in and out of Jimmy’s ass while he reaches around and jerks Jimmy’s hard dick with his hand. They’re moaning and grunting loudly, so caught up in the act they haven’t noticed us standing there in shock. I’m about to pull Jordan away, who’s frozen to the spot with shock, when Jimmy’s eyes open and he sees us.

“What the fuck?!” he screeches, pulling away from the guy fucking him so the guy’s cock comes out and stands up in full view for everyone to see. Both boys scramble to get whatever they can find and cover up, while Jimmy’s face is livid, his eyes darting back and forward between me and Jordan. I glance up at Jordan as he stands like a massive statue, his piercing blue eyes flashing.

“Get the fuck out!” Jimmy screeches again, and I grab Jordan by the arm and start pulling him away as I quickly close the door. To my intense relief, Jordan allows me to drag him down the corridor. But we don’t get far. The sound of the door aggressively opening sounds only after we’ve taken a few steps, and we turn around to see Jimmy standing in the corridor, wearing a towel around his waist. I’m grateful to see his hard-on has subsided, probably due to shock, but that hardly makes things better.

“What the fuck is going on?” he yells at us. I feel the rage rippling through Jordan next to me.

“Shut the fuck up,” my man growls. “You will not disrespect me in my own home, you little shit.”

“I’ll do whatever the fuck I want,” screams Jimmy, delirious with rage, “because what the fuck, man? You’re going around fucking my ex-girlfriend!” I freeze, my heart pounding in my throat. How does he know?!

“Yeah, you think I didn’t know? Huh? Do you think I’m a fucking idiot?” Jordan doesn’t even flinch at Jimmy’s continued profanity. There’s something more important going on here. “Someone texted me a goddamn video!”

It’s only now that I realize Jimmy’s holding his phone. He’d come running out with it, like a weapon, but I hadn’t paid attention to it until now. Without warning, he roughly tosses it across the hall at his dad, who catches it instinctively and looks at it: oh god, it’s a video of me getting into the limo earlier!

“Go ahead, fast forward. It’s all there,” says Jimmy with a nasty snarl on his face. Jordan places a forefinger on the timeline on the video and drags it forward a bit, then stops, letting the video continue playing. It now shows the limo bouncing up and down on its wheels. Oh god! There’s only one thing that makes cars move like that, and it’s people doing the dirty inside. I close my eyes in shame, my hand covering my mouth.

“Who sent you this?” grinds out Jordan, tossing the phone back to his son, who catches it.

“Who cares? It’s someone who’s telling the truth, someone I can trust. Which is more than I can say of you. And you,” he sneers, turning to me. I’ve never seen Jimmy like this before, and it occurs to me that I never really knew him at all. If I had, I’d have realized he was gay.

“Hold on a second!” rasps Jordan. “You want to talk honesty? I’m gonna go ahead and assume you didn’t just realize in the last week or so that you’re into male ass!” he continues, leaving Jimmy speechless with rage. “So how honest were you with Katie, who was your girlfriend for months?”

“Jordan,” I try timidly, touching his arm. “It’s okay. I’m not mad.” But he pushes me away.

“What, were you using her as some kind of camouflage? To hide you were gay?” he asks sarcastically.

“You asshole,” breathes Jimmy. “You wonder why I had to sneak around? Because of people like you!” Oh my god, I shouldn’t be here for this. Just as I’m thinking this, Jimmy’s boyfriend exits Jimmy’s room, fully dressed with his face on fire.

“You think I care you’re gay? You think that’s what this is about?” bellows Jordan.

“I - I should go,” the guy stammers to Jimmy, who nods in a barely perceptible movement. Then follows a nonverbal exchange that’s so intimate and understanding, that I gasp. It’s the kind of communication I recognize to be possible only between two people in love. I’ve seen my parents do it many times. In fact, I’m even able to read Jordan a bit now, just from our repeated encounters.

The guy scurries down the corridor, and I turn to my man, opening my mouth to speak, but he cuts me off.

“I understand. Just go,” he growls, surprising me, and turning my stomach to knots. Not knowing what else to do, I shoot a furtive look over to Jimmy, who’s avoiding my gaze, and hurry off down the corridor. When I arrive at the elevator I discover Jimmy’s boyfriend getting in, but it’s too awkward to turn back now. Besides, he’s holding the door for me. I quicken my pace and join him in the elevator.

We stand in awkward silence the whole way down. When we’re almost at the bottom floor, he finally turns to me.

“Um, I just want you to know,” he says nervously, “we, um - weren’t seeing each other while you guys were still going out.” The elevator comes to a halt and the doors open. “Jimmy never, well, he didn’t cheat on you, is what I’m trying to say. Just in case you were wondering.”

I nod, shooting him a sad smile.

  “Thank you.”

We’ve arrived outside. Jimmy’s boyfriend nods and walks off, disappearing into the sidewalk crowd in a minute. And it doesn’t matter - I simply head in the opposite direction, having no idea where I’m headed or what I should do next. So I wander aimlessly around Central Park, which is conveniently across the street from Jordan’s apartment, confused and clueless. It seems I’ve walked into a bit of a family mess, a feud that’s obviously been stewing on for years.

Suddenly my worries about sleeping with Jimmy’s dad, which had briefly been resolved, are back with a vengeance and so many times worse to boot. The stakes have been raised. We’ve been found out. Someone saw us. Who? Have the rumors spread? And what will happen next? Can I show my face on campus again? Questions whirl around my head as I continue wandering aimlessly through Central Park, wondering whether my affair with Jordan was worth it. Because what’s going to happen between Jordan and Jimmy? Is it worth causing this rift between my lover and his son? I feel terrible for feeling this way because having dated both … I only want the father now.

  Chapter 14

  KATIE

I wander about Central Park aimlessly, my expression dazed. In the end I find my way back to campus. At least now it’s mercifully dark and I’m able to slip through the grounds without having to stop and speak to anyone. I can’t decide whether I’m being cautious or conceited to think that people would be talking about the scandalous limo video. But then my heart curdles because suddenly, there’s no doubt in my mind. Of course people will be talking about the video. It’s juicy and practically unbelievable. After all, what girl dates a son and also his father?

I hurry back to my dorm to find Nicole waiting up for me. Her face lights up as soon as I step into the room.

“Tell me everything!” she squeals. “How was it?”

  “So you don’t know?” I
ask her urgently.

“What do you mean? What should I know?” she asks, confused.

I hesitate. “Someone took a video of me getting into the limo with Jordan Marks. And they sent it to Jimmy,” I say, cringing.

“What?” asks Nicole, confused. “But why would that even matter? It’s just a limo. It’s not like you had full-on sex in front of the world.”

Clearly, Nicole hasn’t seen the video yet, and I bite my lip.

“No, it wasn’t like that,” I agree slowly. “But it’s implied because the door shuts, and then the car starts bouncing up and down.”

  Nicole looks at me wide-eyed.

“You mean,” she sputters. “You guys were doing it in the back seat? That hard? Enough to make the limo shake?”

  I shrug, my head down.

“Well, yes,” is my quiet reply. “Jordan Marks is a compelling man and we got a little carried away. It was hot, insane, and yes, we made the car rock a little.”

Nic cuts me off. “Oh my god, is there sound?”

I wince, almost hesitant to say. “Yes,” is my final admission. “A little. You can hear me moaning in the background.”

Nicole’s jaw drops open then. “You go girl!” she shrieks. “High five!”

I grimace again, even as our hands slap. “I don’t feel very celebratory,” are my slow words. “The opposite in fact because what if it’s gotten all over school?”

“Hold on,” Nic says, suddenly breathless with anticipation. Her fingers dance all over the keys of her phone, eyes darting left and right. I hold my breath in anticipation as she browses and presses some buttons.

“Oh my god,” she says suddenly, face lit up ghoulishly by her cell. “Yeah - it’s all over Snapchat. And Instagram.”

“What?” I scream, grabbing the phone from her and glaring at it in horror, seeing myself getting in the limo over and over again, followed by the obscene rocking of the vehicle. The video has even been edited down to just a few seconds, cutting out the middle part when Jordan and I were talking.

“Oh no,” I groan, handing the phone back to Nicole. I plunk myself down next to her on the couch with my face in my hands.

“So it’s true. You had sex with Jordan Marks,” she says gleefully. “It was good, right?”

“It was amazing,” my voice is muffled through my hands.

“But that’s awesome!” tries Nicole, trying to sound positive.

“No, Nic, it would have been great if we’d had the bright idea to drive away from campus before fucking in Jordan’s limo, which isn’t exactly inconspicuous to begin with,” I groan. “Most people on campus drive Accords and Camrys. He’s the only one with a limo.”

“So you were overcome with passion and couldn’t wait. What’s wrong with that? That’s awesome! To hell with everyone else! To hell with what they think!” she exclaims passionately. I look up at her and let out a sigh.

“I appreciate it, Nic, I really do,” are my gentle words. “But it’s not that simple.”

“Why can’t it be that simple? You obviously have something great going on. What does it matter that you used to go out with his son?”

“You don’t even know the half of it,” I cringe, making her look at me expectantly, but I don’t know where to start.

“Ok, fess up Katie,” she says urgently, and I do. I tell her everything Jordan said about how I’ve changed him. How he wants to own me and possess me the same way I own and possess him. I tell her how intense the connection is, and how we held each other afterwards before driving to his penthouse.

“What?” she breathes, eyes wide. “What happened next?”

“He was leading me down the hall to his bedroom, I think, when we started hearing these sounds. And I recognized them as the sounds I heard that time I walked in on Jimmy watching gay porn - ”

“He was watching gay porn again?” she asks, nose squinching with disbelief. “Weird.”

“Nope,” I say. “Not porn on TV. He was full on having gay sex. With a guy from his lacrosse team.”

Nicole gasps, her hands to her mouth. “No way! I can’t believe it!” she exclaims through her fingers. “Who was it?”

“I don’t know his name,” I say slowly. “But he was nice actually. We ended up leaving together, and he wanted me to know it wasn’t going on while Jimmy and I were going out. That Jimmy hadn’t cheated on me.”

“Wait, back it up a bit, you’re missing a huge chunk of the story here. What happened when you and Jordan walked in on Jimmy having gay sex?” she asks eagerly.

“Oh, it was horrible!” I groan, thinking back to the fight it started between Jordan and Jimmy. A fight I still don’t know the outcome of. I tell her about the insults they hurled at each other and that I suddenly felt like I should leave, so they could discuss things in private.

“So you see, it’s so much bigger than just me and Jordan. Suddenly Jimmy’s out of the closet, and everyone saw me getting in the limo with Jordan. And they pretty much know what I was doing with him in the car too. Considering who both Jimmy and Jordan are, oh my god, the gossip will be relentless,” I groan.

Nicole comforts me the best she can, but it’s getting late and I’m exhausted from all the events that day. So I drag myself to the shower to relax my body from all the tension. But it doesn’t help much, and I schlep to bed in the hopes that sleep will find me soon so I can just let my mind rest for a bit. But that doesn’t happen either.

I’m lying on my back mulling over all possible outcomes of this saga, when I hear a tap on my window. Thinking it must be the wind, I ignore it. But there’s another tap. What the hell? I get out of bed and look down at the grounds beneath my building. It’s a very clear night and the moon is full, bathing the grounds in silver light, making it very easy to see the figure standing below my window, looking up at me: it’s Jordan.

All it takes is a few heaving breaths of air, just a couple of seconds of hesitation, before I’m hurtling out of my dorm and running through the hallway and down the stairs, as quietly as I can. I feel the soft, cool grass under the soles of my feet, and the warm night breeze on my bare legs, and realize all I’m wearing is a pair cotton mini shorts and a tank top. But I don’t care.

I only slow my steps as I’m approaching Jordan, suddenly feeling self-conscious. His figure is bathed in silver light on one side, and shrouded in darkness on the other, making it hard to discern his expression. His hands are in his pockets but his posture is rigid. Oh no.

“Jordan,” I whisper as I stand before him. “What are you doing here?” I peer up at his features, straining my eyes in the darkness. My lover looks pained, his dark brows furrowed, and firm jaw clenched. His jet black hair is slightly loose, a stray comma hanging over one blue eye. He looks smoldering and dangerous, yet vulnerable too. I want to fling myself into his arms but something makes me stop.

My lover stares down at me with a tension in his whole being that’s so strong, he could snap any second. My breath quickens, and my pussy clenches in arousal. I reach up to touch his face, but in one swift motion, he grabs my wrist.

“Katie,” I growls softly. “I didn’t come here for that.” But he doesn’t let go of my wrist, and pulls me slightly towards him. I stumble.

“What did you come for then?”

Jordan exhales through his nose like a crazed bull, his jaw clenching, before roughly letting go of my wrist.

“Why are you angry with me?” I ask, confused.

“I’m not angry with you, Katie,” he rasps, clearly trying not to come across so strong, but it’s hard for someone with his level of testosterone. “I came here to tell you I can’t see you anymore.” My stomach turns to ice as my heart skips a beat, and I feel all the blood drain out of my face. “At least not until I fix this mess.”

“What?” I whisper, astonished. “Why? I’m sure Jimmy will come around, we just - ”

“It’s not just Jimmy. I don’t care that he’s gay, I was just surprised. I wasn’t angry about that. I was
angry that he’d been lying to you while you were going out. We had a long talk. We’re fine, and he’s given us his blessing. But this is bigger than that,” he rasps.

  “I don’t understand.”

“It’s that video, Katie,” he says, clenching his eyes shut in frustration. “It went viral. Soon after you left, I was called by the Chairman of the Board here at Hudson University. There’s going to be an emergency hearing tomorrow and I’m expected to attend.”

  “I don’t understand,” I wheeze.

“I’m the university’s biggest donor, Katie. And you, a student here, were seen getting into my limo and …. Well, the suggestive bouncing of the limo is pretty telling.”

“Surely that’s not against any rules, is it?” I protest, feeling powerless. “It’s not like I’m underage or anything.”

  Jordan’s expression darkens.

“It has nothing to do with your age. But at the very least it’s bad for the school’s image. Not just the part about a donor having an affair with a student, but also that the donor is the father of a star athlete. I’m guessing it’s more drama than the university will want to deal with,” he growls, frowning. I’m speechless, looking up at him with my mouth open, but no words come out.

“I’m sorry, Katie,” he clenches his eyes shut. “I should have had Jeffrey drive us somewhere more private. It was a ridiculous mistake to make. I wasn’t expecting the encounter to turn out that way. I came to offer you so much more. But then you got on your knees, and shit ….”

“I’m just as much to blame, Jordan,” I whisper even as my heart shatters.

“I’ll fix it, somehow. But until then -” He’s unable to finish his sentence. It’s taking him physical effort to say these words and I don’t have the will to help him out. I need to hear it all from him. So I let him struggle.

“We need to end this,” he finally manages. “It was a terrible idea to begin with.”

“You don’t mean that,” I say, swallowing with pain. He looks away for a moment, jaw clenched, before turning back and seizing my gaze.
