His mouth softened, and he lifted his hand and cupped her cheek. The tenderness and understanding, coming from him, brought her carefully hidden emotions to the surface. She kissed him, unable to voice how much she appreciated his support.

They'd entered a new level in their relationship. It continually surprised her how much he could read her moods and figure out what was wrong before she could figure things out in her head on her own.

"About that..." He kissed her again. "There is a reason to play."

She pulled back. "What do you mean?"

He lifted her, setting her on her feet. She watched him walk out of the room, and the door open. Concerned, she stepped around the coffee table to follow, and he came back in, carrying a bag.

"What's this?" she asked, sitting back down on the couch.

He set the sack on the coffee table and lifted out a blue lightweight bomber jacket and turned it around. On the back of the coat were multiple patches.

Her gaze zeroed in on the top one. Carr Construction.

She read down. Banks' Body Shop. Moore's Gas Station. Cruiser Outfitters. Lainer's Towing.

She looked up at Wyatt. Confusion mixed with hope and tangled with guilt. He wouldn't have. Would he?

Wyatt pointed to the plain black patch with a gray and red stripe. "These colors represent Tarkio Motorcycle Club. They preferred not to have their name advertised on the jacket. These, tiger, are all your sponsors."

He set the coat on her lap. She trailed her hand over all the patches, trying to make sense of why she'd have a sponsored jacket for a Friday night pool tournament at Riverside Bar.

Wyatt sat down on the coffee table in front of her and held out a zippered pouch, adding it to the jacket on her lap. "There's ten thousand dollars in there. All you have to do is enter the Blackfoot Tournament, and you're all set."

Her heart pounded. Hope filled her. She would never have asked others to support her. To give her money, expecting nothing back in return, except free advertisement on a jacket and on the pamphlet that would be handed out during the tourney.

"Are you serious?" She gawked at him. "All...all these places donated money so I could play?"

"Every business on there is owned by a Tarkio Motorcycle Club member. They support their own. They're showing good faith in our family that I will be voted in during the April meeting next year." He captured her knees between his legs and leaned forward, grabbing her hands and holding them in his. "They expect nothing in return. Win or lose, whatever happens, that's for you."

"Oh, God." She looked up at the ceiling, her eyes filling with tears. "I never dreamed..."

He stood, pulling her to her feet. She gazed at him, unable to accept that Wyatt had really come to her apartment and given her the biggest gift anyone had ever given her.

"First thing first. You need to—"

"Practice. I know. I'm so behind. I have to get my shoulder in top shape. I need a new tip on my cue stick, and then I'll need to break it in to perfection." She threw her arms around his neck, stretched to her toes, and kissed him quick and hard. "There's so much to do."

"Except you didn't mention the first thing that I need you to do." He hooked his thumbs into the waistband of her sweatpants, her panties, and pulled both clothing articles down.

She lifted her foot, then the other one, and kicked the material away. "And what is that?"

"Get naked, so I can fuck you." He captured her mouth, taking her down to the couch.

Bubbles released in her stomach, and she laughed. He still wore his leather jacket and all his clothes. Her amusement fled with the jingle of his belt buckle swinging as he ripped open the buttoned fly of his 501s.

He took out his cock, stroking it to full hardness. She put her leg over the back of the couch. Her attraction toward him had no limits. She found herself ready and willing whenever he snapped his fingers. Between running the apartments and Wyatt working away from home and the motorcycle club, they'd learned to take advantage of any time they found to be together.

Already excited over the news of participating in the Blackfoot Tournament, she reached down her body and took his dick in hand, stroking until he started pushing against her hand. Then she lifted her butt off the couch and placed the head of his cock at her entrance.

Wyatt thrust inside of her. She moaned, rubbing his chest.

He slipped his hand down her body to finger her clit, working his magic over her body. She squeezed his muscles and hooked her legs behind his thighs. He came to her rugged and determined. There was never any guessing with Wyatt.

  He wanted her. Anytime. Anywhere.

  She loved that about him.

Tweaking his nipples, she arched against him. Her sex spasmed, hypersensitive. Her body, on the edge of something wonderful, moved underneath him. Her mind played with the fact that he'd given her the most beautiful things in her life. Him. His children. Her dreams.

Her heart full, she gave to him as he plunged and withdrew his cock. He circled and teased between her legs with his finger. Her pelvis lifted, dipped, and matched his rhythm. Her clit throbbed on the brink.

He raised up on his arm, thrusting into her deeper. That was it.

Her entire body spiraled into an orgasm. She shuddered, gasping for breath as her pussy spasmed.

Wyatt moved his hand away from between her legs, bracing his arms on the couch and plunged inside of her. Absorbed in his eyes, she witnessed the moment his pleasure consumed him.

His hooded eyes closed for a brief, beautiful moment and he sighed, sinking to his elbows. She wrapped her arms around him.

"My heart is bursting," she whispered, kissing his neck. "I love you so much."

He raised his head, captured her face in his hands, and against her lips, whispered, "I love you."

She had everything she could possibly want. Most days, she had to pinch herself to know she wasn't dreaming.

  Epilogue

  1988

BEER CANS DANGLING on strings and tied to the back of the Harley clattered on the street. Wyatt pulled into the apartment complex. Going to the end of the parking lot, he entered the private driveway atop fresh, black asphalt.

Slowing, he parked in front of the garage, gazing up at the two-story house he'd built and finished two days ago. Yesterday, the building inspector signed off on the project, and today, Joey would move out of her apartment, and he and the kids would move out of theirs.

The moment sealed in time by marriage vows he'd repeated to Joey at the courthouse thirty minutes ago and witnessed by Jess and Travis.

Above the door, he'd hung a sign he'd made in his spare time.

  The Carr Family

  Wyatt ~ Joey ~ Jess ~ Travis

  Est. 1988

After Joey had won the Blackfoot Tournament and the two-hundred and fifty-thousand-dollar pot, she'd announced that she no longer wanted to restore the Unit C apartments. In the next breath, she wanted the building bulldozed down and the memory of her and Travis being held hostage by Dean Miller gone.

He'd already planned to build a home for his family. It only made sense to build their place on the vacant property. That way, Joey could remain close and still manage the apartments, but they would all live under one roof and start their life together.

He never imagined his suggestion to construct the house where the Unit C apartments once stood would cause a flood of tears to the women in the family. Joey cried off and on for a week. Happy tears, she'd said. Jess, well, his daughter cried because someone else was crying. He and Travis could only sit back and let the females do their thing.

He parked and shut off the engine. Today couldn't have gone better. Joey wore his ring and had become is wife.

Joey slipped off the motorcycle and straightened her short, white sundress. He gazed at her red heels, wondering why in the hell he'd asked the MC club to come over and help them move today. All he wanted to do was take his bride upstairs to their bedroom.

She kissed him before he could get off the
motorcycle. "I'm so happy."

"Love you, Mrs. Carr." He hooked her neck, taking another kiss. "Are you ready to move into our home?"

"I can't wait." She wiggled. "I'm going to run home...to the apartment and change my clothes so I can help."

"I'll keep the guys out of there until you're finished." He got off the bike. "Tyler's bringing the kids back in a little while. They're going to grab a bunch of pizzas to feed everyone who helps with the move."

In the grass, she turned. "Oh, that reminds me. When you ordered the keg, I had them put it in the rec center. The tap is in my apartment. I'll bring it with me when I come back."

"Joey," shouted Mrs. Danski from the second-floor balcony. "Congratulations, dear!"

"Thank you, Mrs. Danski." She waved and ran on her tiptoes through the grass toward her apartment.

Wyatt waved to Mrs. Danski, chuckling. The older woman had her nose in everyone's business, and he'd never want her to change. Her need to know everything that happened in the complex had helped him save his family.

Walking up the concrete walkway to the front porch, he looked out to the yard. It was big enough to hold a party in the summer and small enough he could use a push mower. Joey could plant flowers, sit in the sun, or do any damn thing she wanted.

He unlocked the door and stepped inside. The slight scent of new carpet and linoleum hung in the air. He'd spent a lot of hours going over plans with Joey before beginning the construction until everything was perfect.

Gazing up the stairs in the entryway, he ran his hand over the wood banister. Together, they'd planned for the future. Three bedrooms weren't enough. Joey wanted at least two kids, and they already had bedrooms upstairs for whenever they arrived.

Walking past his office, where Carr Construction would finally have a place to meet with clients, he strolled into the kitchen. It was a large kitchen made for a woman who enjoyed cooking. Even more, Joey—his wife, enjoyed having those she loved around her while she cooked.

He spotted a piece of paper on the counter. Picking it up, he read.

  Wyatt —

Since the first time we got together, I've felt like I was dreaming. Last night, when you became a member of Tarkio Motorcycle Club, I was so proud of you. You not only devoted your life to the club, but swore to love me this morning in front of your children, and I feel incredibly lucky.

Don't laugh, but sometimes I think we're two hearts born to love each other. You're perfect for me, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

  I love you,

  Mrs. Joey Carr

WYATT FOLDED THE PAPER and slipped it into the pocket of his leather Tarkio vest. Running his hand over his beard, he couldn't believe how his life had turned out. There were some dark days when his kids were young that he wouldn't want to live through again. Joey brought the sunshine to all their lives, and he planned to make sure she continued to love him as much as she did on their wedding day.

  "Wyatt?" said Joey.

He cleared his throat and turned. "In the kitchen."

Joey, wearing a pair of nylon gym shorts, a white crop top, and a pair of Keds, hurried toward him. She set the tap for the keg on the counter and then slipped her arms around him.

"The bikers are arriving. I could hear them down the street when I ran over here." She kissed him. "Is it weird that I'm nervous about sleeping with you with the kids in the house?"

"I can send them to my mom's house." He gathered her hair at the back of her neck, unable to keep his hands off her.

"No, she's promised to have them stay with her all next week, so we can enjoy our honeymoon."

"You're sure you don't want to go to the Blackfoot Casino Resort and stay instead?" he asked.

She laughed. "No way. I want to stay in our new house with you. Alone. Doing the sexy. Running around naked. Everything we haven't been able to do over the last year and a half."

"First place, on the pool table in the family room." He wiggled his brows. "You have no idea how many damn times I've dreamed about having you spread out on top with all the pool balls scattered around you."

"You pervert." Her eyes widened, and she smiled. "I love it. Yes."

He kissed her deeply as the rumble outside grew in intensity. Joey was going to make him walk outside with his cock hard for her. She broke the kiss and rubbed her breasts against his chest. Damn little tease.

She stepped back, taking his hand, pulling him toward the door. He adjusted himself and walked out on the porch.

The Tarkio members congregated in the driveway. He patted Joey's ass and went out to divide everyone into two crews and sent them in two different directions to bring their belongings into the house. Everything was boxed up and ready to go. With almost thirty members helping out, they should have everything moved within a couple of hours.

"Paco," shouted Wyatt. "There's a keg in the rec center. Why don't you haul it over and set in on the porch?"

He walked over to Joey's new car parked on the side of the garage and pushed the remote garage door opener, opening up the garage. The bigger car was the only thing Joey had bought with the money she'd won at Blackfoot. She planned to save the rest for their future or if the kids needed help along the way of becoming adults.

When he returned to the house, Joey leaned over the porch rail and waved toward the parking lot.

He glanced over and spotted his kids, getting out of Tyler's mom's car. Travis had shot up over the last six months and now stood six feet tall. He wasn't finished growing yet, and would probably be taller than Wyatt.

Jess jogged up on the porch, her ponytail swinging behind her. "Have they started carrying stuff yet?"

"They just went to the apartments." Joey fingered Jess's white, puka shell necklace. "You look beautiful today."

Jess grinned. "I love the dress."

Travis carried six pizza boxes into the house and returned to the porch. "When can we bring my dirt bike home?"

"You can't ride it here, and there's no use hauling it back and forth when you want to go riding," said Wyatt.

"I could work on it here."

"It's brand—" He shook his head. "We'll bring it home next time I have some free time."

He understood the need to tinker on a motorcycle. It's one reason he hadn't bought a car. The Harley, he could fix and maintain. When life got stressful, a few hours of riding and tuning, calmed him down. He shouldn't be surprised that his son would feel the same way.

"Here they come." Joey hurried over and opened the front door, propping it open.

He felt her smile clear through him. Standing there with his family, absorbing their excitement, he couldn't help believing he had everything a man could want in life.

Joey's gaze connected with his. She mouthed, "I love you."

Yeah, he had every damn thing he needed.

  Dear Readers ~

I hope you enjoyed Wyatt and Joey's story. As with all the books in the Choices: Tarkio MC series, I think it's important to see the lives of the men "before" they swore their loyalty to a motorcycle club. No one ever makes the choice willy-nilly.

Now that readers are three books deep into the series, I'm receiving a lot of love for the Tarkio MC members. Curley, Priest, Roddy have played their part in recruiting new members, and readers will be happy to know it won't be the last time you see those characters (and many other Tarkio members).

If you'd like to keep up on my book releases, chat with me, and see pictures of my life in the Bitterroot Mountains, I would love to have you follow me on social media. I'm on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and have a website with links to a huge backlist of books.
