I drew the Miskatric Dagger and threw it at him in the same motion. Whatever Magic I had left went with it, and he had to choose to either get out of the way of the enchanted blade or allow it to strike him.

Kreeg dodged, though he was able to bat the Relic out of my reach as he did. I'd been grabbing for it, and my hands closed on empty air.
The Relic hit the ground with a heavy thunk, rolling to a stop at the feet of the enslaved XAR. The alien looked at me, looked down, and then pushed it back in my direction.
Kreeg and I both dove for the Relic, but I was closer, and the XAR had rolled it to my advantage. The Evvex grabbed my leg just as my palm smacked down on top of the artifact.

Epilogue
This time when the doorbell rang, I knew who the poor schmucks were. I opened the door just before they could bash it in. "I'm ready to go," I said to a sea of rifle barrels and confused faces.
"Sir..."
I sighed. "Let me help you out. Yes, I'm Adam Harris: former Eagle Scout, animal shelter volunteer, and ex-employee of a shitty magic shop. You've got the right guy. Let's skip the whole kidnapping bit this time though, okay? Just get me back into the Citadel so that I can start kicking ass?"
Martez had a radio headset on. "Colonel?" he asked. "Are you getting any of this?"
I glanced past them and saw Booker standing beside the white van. "You heard the man," he shouted, forgoing the radio. "Do what he says."

A Note from the Author – Yes, there’s a lot more of this on the way. Save Point is an awesome world to play in, and I can’t wait to find out how Adam fares.
If you enjoyed this book, there’s one VERY important thing you can do. Review it! Honestly, I’d appreciate it if you took a few minutes out of your day and left a review on Amazon. That’s the best way to help me find readers and to help readers find me.
And lastly, if you want book updates and maybe even some giveaways, sign up for my newsletter.
Thanks for reading!

To learn more about LitRPG, talk to authors including myself, and just have an awesome time, please join the LitRPG Group. It’s one of the major hubs of what’s happening in the litRPG scene, and there are a bunch of authors and readers there who come together and share new reads, fun finds and yes, perhaps sling a tasty meme or two…
If you’re interested in GameLit’s ground zero on Facebook, the best place I can point you is the GameLit Society. There’s always a bunch of cool genre stuff being discussed, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a post that asked for an answer or a suggestion go longer than 10 minutes without someone hopping in and bringing something interesting to the table. If you’re looking for lively and honest, come on in!
Lastly, if you’re interested in a more old school discussion in a forum that gets rid of the crazy pace of Facebook and lets authors and readers rant, chant and decant all things litRPG, head on over to the LitRPG Forum! It’s one of the few places that deals with litRPG where a discussion can go on for months, and there’s always something new getting added.
